No JavaScript libraries seem to be included in generated JSP pages

JHeadstart 10g (9.0.4)
Struts/JSP
It seems that the generated JSP files do no longer contain the necessary runtime JavaScript libraries.
Pages generated with 9.0.4Beta 3 contained the statements:
<script language="javascript" src="jheadstart/form.js"> </script>
<script language="javascript" src="jheadstart/messages.js"> </script>
<script language="javascript" src="jheadstart/calendar/calendar.js"> </script>
Is this intentional? I get JavaScript errors so I have the feeling at least something is wrong.
thanks and best regards
Lucas

Lucas,
These javascript libs are now defined in routerForm.jsp which is generated as an include in your page.
When upgrading from an older jheadstart version, make sure you delete all your jsp includes (and uix templates), so the JAG will copy the latest version to your file system.

  • Dynamic include file in JSP page

    <span class="value">Hi
    i have index.jsp , this page can include jsp
    pages dynamically by passing the name of the page to be included to the
    index page with out .jsp , so if i want to include page "code.jsp" i
    put: .../index.jsp?page=code , this have to include code.jsp page
    i made the following code , but it did not find the file
    so can any one help plz ?
            String pg=request.getParameter("page");
            if( pg!= null && ! "".equals(pg)){
                    File f=new File(request.getParameter("page")+".jsp");
                    if(f.exists()){
                            out.print("file exist");
                            %>
                            <jsp:include page="<%=request.getParameter("page")+".jsp" %>" />
            <%
                    }else{
                            out.print("file not exist");

    What does the file existing or not really have to do with it?
    You can try it like this:
    String pg=request.getParameter("page");
            if( pg!= null && ! "".equals(pg)){
                    String webPath = pg + " .jsp";
                    String realPath = request.getRealPath(webPath);
                    File f=new File(realPath);
                    if(f.exists()){
                            out.print("file exist");
                            %>
                            <jsp:include page="<%= webPath %>" />
            <%
                    }else{
                            out.print("file not exist");
            }Alternatively you could try using a request dispatcher:
    RequestDispatcher rd = request.getRequestDispatcher(webPath);
    if (rd == null){
      // doesn't exist
    }

  • Including JavaScript into a JSP Page

    Hi,

    Right now i have an HTML Page that includes some <SCRIPT> code. Now many other HTML files use this piece of <SCRIPT> stuff. How do i remove it , put it in one place(I mean where to put it and what would that file be called) and in a JSP page call this <SCRIPT> code?
    Please help . i'm pretty new to JSP and JavaScript.

    Ok, first let us make clear the demarcation between java and javascript.
    Java runs on the server, and produces an HTML page which is sent to the client.
    That HTML page may contain javascript code on it to run on the client side.
    As the page is loaded, javascript may be compiled/run on the client.
    So you have some javascript code which you want to include on every page as template text?
    I would do this in JSP by using the include directive to add that bit of template text to every single JSP page.
    ie
    header.jspf
    <SCRIPT language=javascript>
    <!--
    if ((document.images) && ("Netscape" != navigator.appName) && (navigator.appVersion.indexOf('Mac') == -1))
    document.write("<LINK REL=\"stylesheet\" TYPE=\"text/css\" HREF=\"http://www.telia.se/tews/css/1.css\">");
    else if ((document.images) && ("Netscape" != navigator.appName) && (navigator.appVersion.indexOf('Mac') > 1))
    document.write("<LINK REL=\"stylesheet\" TYPE=\"text/css\" HREF=\"http://www.telia.se/tews/css/5.css\">");
    else if (("Netscape" == navigator.appName) && (parseInt(navigator.appVersion) == 4) && (navigator.appVersion.indexOf('Mac') == -1))
    document.write("<LINK REL=\"stylesheet\" TYPE=\"text/css\" HREF=\"http://www.telia.se/tews/css/2.css\">");
    else if (("Netscape" == navigator.appName) && (parseInt(navigator.appVersion) == 4) && (navigator.appVersion.indexOf('Mac') > 1))
    document.write("<LINK REL=\"stylesheet\" TYPE=\"text/css\" HREF=\"http://www.telia.se/tews/css/3.css\">");
    else if (("Netscape" != navigator.appName) && ("Microsoft Internet Explorer" != navigator.appName))
    document.write("<LINK REL=\"stylesheet\" TYPE=\"text/css\" HREF=\"http://www.telia.se/tews/css/6.css\">");
    // -->
    </SCRIPT>
    <noscript>
      // stuff here for when the browser does not support javascript
    </noscript>And then in every jsp page
    <%@ page include="header.jspf" %>
    // rest of the JSP pageThe file "header.jspf" will be included with every jsp page served, and you only need to update that page in one place.
    If you have a JSP2.0 container you can define a jsp prelude which will be the same as having the <%@ page include="header.jspf" %> on every page.
    You do this in the web.xml file:
    Something like this:
      <jsp-property-group>
         <url-pattern>*.jsp</url-pattern>
         <include-prelude>/WEB-INF/jspf/prelude1.jspf</include-prelude>
      </jsp-property-group>The specified file will be loaded into every JSP page without the JSP page having to define the import itself.
    Hope this helps,

  • How to include a jsp page in another jsp jsp page

    hi,
    i m trying to include a jsp page name "header.jsp" into one jsp page name"selectattribute.jsp" i m using these commands in "selectattribute.jsp"
    <%@include file "header.jsp"%> bcz both these jsp page are C:\program files\tomcat 4.0\webapps\examples\jsp\Poject\
    but the problem is that , i m invoking this jsp page "selectattribute.jsp" from a servlet reportcontroller.java using REQUEST DISPATCHER.
    the servlet is in
    C:\Program files\tomcat 4.0\webapps\examples\WEB-INF\classes\Project\
    i want to know how to include some other jsp page in a jsp page and how to invoke applet from jsp page when that particular jsp page is being invoked by servlet.
    plz help
    manish

    use this for including in your selectattribute.jsp
    <jsp:include page="header.jsp" flush="true"/>
    I never tried calling an applet. I think you can write the code for calling the applet in a javabean method and call the method in the jsp

  • Find in the filename of the jsp page that is included

    i have a main.jsp that includes a menu.jsp page dynamically :
    if (request.getParameter("view")!=null){
                   include_h_menu_page = request.getParameter("view);
    <jsp:include page="<%= include_h_menu_page%>"/>
    now i am in the menu.jsp and here i want to find out the given name of the page. In my case i want to recive back "menu.jsp". How can i do it?

    Remember, that your JSP get's compiled into a servlet!
    You are able to get the name of this servlet-class, which may look like:
    org.apache.jsp.path.to.your.main_jspbut I think the name can change depending on your appserver.
    For this you should be able to usethis.getClass().getName()

  • "Error: the xajax Javascript file could not be included. Perhaps the URL is incorrect? URL: /includes/javascript/xajax_js/xajax.js". other posters with a xajax error on this board got the response to go look for developer resources. (i'm not a developer)

    I'm on a mac running 10.6.8, was using Firefox 6.02 when the problem started, i performed a clean install of 7.01, installed the latest Flashplayer, and reinstalled java (the 10.6.5 update file from apple's site).
    I seem able to load video at youtube.com, and was able to load web-based irc chatrooms at ircchat.tv. however, at jamplay.com a paid member site, all of the lessons are flash video, and there's a live video feed chat room that is also flash based, and I am not able to view this content. the video content pops up the error message "Error: the xajax Javascript file could not be included. Perhaps the URL is incorrect?
    URL: /includes/javascript/xajax_js/xajax.js" and the clicking on the "launch chatroom" button does exactly nothing.
    I have contacted the jamplay site team but their recommendations are the steps I have already taken, mentioned above, that did not resolve the issue.
    some links to content on their site visible without being a member:
    http://www.jamplay.com/
    this one has a flash interface that, if things were working, would have a video in the center and members and staff talking abouth that area of the site when you click on one of the title buttons. Now that I am having this problem, nothing is clickable and there's no indication that there should be a video in the center. The error message regarding xajax does not come up at all.
    http://www.jamplay.com/guitar-lessons/beginners/1/527-16-circle-of-fifths
    same thing. video content is missing, xajax error does not appear.
    http://www.jamplay.com/live
    when I load these all content except the video loads on the page. this page does not give me the error at all, just does not load the video
    I can't seem to recreate the actual error without being logged in as a member of the site.
    The apple support team gave me a one-time free suppport ticket to troubleshoot an ethernet issue I was having. Unfortunately, the databases I removed were not deemed either by apple or me to be noteworthy or necessary to retain (all of them were for software I not longer have or use). I don't know which plist file might have been the one I need now. I did reinstall the java and flash items. The only other item that I think it might be is a set of belkin router software that I uninstalled because i'm not using any belkin hardware anymore.
    If someone has any kind of idea I would be most appreciative.

    That's a comment in the file. It has no effect at all.

  • JDeveloper and third party javascript libraries

    Hi.
    I was wondering if there were any way to support proper code insight on javascript libraries such as JQuery or ExtJS? Or for that matter, javascript objects residing in the project tree?
    I seem to be missing proper support for javascript objects in the structure panel as well. It's a shame if I have to go to Eclipse to get support for this.

    Hi.
    You have promised better Javascript support, and you have delivered. But there is still a long way to go. Concider the following:
    App.ux.SomeClass = function() {
      var test = 0;
    App.ux.SomeClass.prototype = {
      init : function() {
        ... do something...
    }The above will show up in structure pane as:
    App.ux.SomeClass = function()
    |_ var test = 0;The rest is ignored.
    It should have been:
    App.ux.SomeClass = function()
    |_ var test = 0
    |_ init = function()Is it possible to provide this functionality?

  • Can javascript libraries be shared across widgets?

    Is there a way to share javascript libraries across widgets? It would be a shame to have to include the same library over and over again in each widget.

    As structured, each widget is independent and self contained, so libraries are not shared. It's a small price to pay for convenience of design and production in my opinion. - Fabe

    How to include custom taglib in javascript on a given jsp page?
    i have a jsp page on which i am adding selectboxes using javascript.
    But now i have created my own custom select box and want to add it on a given jsp page.
    is the code to create the box box.
    <sample:pickListOptions employeeId="abcs123"/>
    but how should i embed it in javascript, so that i will be able to add it on the give jsp page.
    Thanks,
    Javaqueue

    when the jsp page is loaded for the first time it contains a select box containg names created by a taglib.but there is a feature i want to add wherein though javascript the name selectebox will keep on coming on each row i want to add. and this is row addition and deletion is being handled by the javascript. there i encounter the bug how to interact the javascript with taglib so tha with each row addition i will have populated taglib created select box on each row.
    Thanks,
    Javaqueue

  • Using Javascript libraries with OBIEE 11g

    Hi,
    I want to use javascript libraries like scriptaculous.js in OBIEE. I placed the libraries in the location {Middleware_Home}\Oracle_BI1\bifoundation\web\app\res\b_mozilla. But when I try to use the library I am getting the "Failed to load" error message. Is that the correct location for placing library files?
    Thanks,
    KK

    You need to add the .js file in two locations
    1. \MIDDLEWAREHOME\Oracle_BI1\bifoundation\web\app\res\b_mozilla
    2. \MIDDLEWAREHOME\user_projects\domains\bifoundation_domain\servers\bi_server1\tmp\_WL_user\analytics_11.1.1\7dezjl\war\res\b_mozilla
    Let me know if it works...

    Seen this thread?
    Can javascript libraries be shared across widgets?

  • Documentation of the cabo-javascript libraries

    Is anywhere a documentation of the javascript libraries provided with the cabo-framework available?
    ...would make a lot sense to use the provided stuff instead of re-inventing the wheel ;-)
    Ernst.

    For the most part, the javascript libraries for the cabo-framework are private libraries and subject to change.
    The openWindow function, however, is public. Here is the documentation for that.
    /** * Opens a new window, makes it active, and returns the Window * object. * <p> * @param parentWindow The window opening this window. For modal * windows, this is the window that the * new window will be modal to. REQUIRED. * @param srcURL URL for the contents of the new window. * REQUIRED. * @param windowName Name that identifies the new window for * URLS. Required if a closeCallback is to be used. * @param features Javascript object containing name/value pairs * of features to apply to the new window, * @param isModal True if the window should be modal. * @param kind Either 'document' or 'dialog'. The default is * dependent on the value of isModal--'document' * for modeless, 'dialog' for modal. * @param closeCallback Callback method called when the widnow is closed. */ function openWindow( parentWindow, srcURL, windowName, features, isModal, kind, closeCallback )

  • Javascript engine seems to crash if alert left up when page unloads

    Using RichFaces 3.3.3_Final with FF 3.6.15. Because the javascript engine is not suspended while a page is unloaded, if the javascript code presents an alert() during the unload process, if the user returns to the page, the javascript operations are not performed. If the user returns to the page polling will not continue, in fact no javascript functions seem to work.
    This is probably related to the bug (in my opinion ) that Firefox does not suspend the javascript engine as it begins tearing down resource as a result of a page unloading (i.e. the user clicks to go elsewhere). I support multiple browsers and this is only an issue on FF.

  • Adding custom javascripts into my jsp pages

    Hi all,
    it will seems to be a newby question, i'm sorry i begin using jhs since two weeks
    the question is how can i Allow an onBlur property on VO Attributes; this property includes a piece of JavaScript to be executed on leaving the item to be generated in my jsp pages to prevent doing this in post-generation, by the way i would like to know who is the class responsible for the generation of form.js .
    thanks a lot
    best regards.

    Hi EvertJan, thanks for the reply.
    I need an advice:
    i've added an onblur event to jhsgenerator ADF BC property and i write as an example this.value=null
    i created a template in jspinput.xsl(JAGLauncher.jar) like this:
    <xsl:template name="onBlur">
    <xsl:param name="onBlur" />
    <xsl:if test="$onBlur !=''" >
    <xsl:attribute name="onblur">
    <xsl:value-of select="$onBlur" />
    </xsl:attribute>
    </xsl:if>
    </xsl:template>
    and i try to generate a html:text by modifing inputtextsec template like this:
    <xsl:template name="textInputSec">
    <xsl:param name="name"/>
    <xsl:param name="property"/>
    <xsl:param name="withIndex"/>
    <xsl:param name="size"/>
    <xsl:param name="maximumLength"/>
    <xsl:param name="updateable"/>
    <xsl:param name="displayType"/>
         <xsl:param name="onBlur" />
    <html:text name="{$name}" property="{$property}" size="{$size}" maxlength="{$maximumLength}" onblur="{$onBlur}">
    <xsl:call-template name="onBlur" >
    <xsl:with-param name="onBlur" select="$onBlur"/>
    </xsl:call-template>
              <xsl:if test="$withIndex = 'true'">
    <xsl:attribute name="indexed">
    <xsl:value-of select="'true'"/>
    </xsl:attribute>
    </xsl:if>
    <xsl:call-template name="disabledAttribute">
    <xsl:with-param name="updateable" select="$updateable"/>
    </xsl:call-template>
    </html:text>
         </xsl:template>
    also added this to CreateFormElement template in jsplibrary.xsl:
    <xsl:with-param name="onBlur" >
    <xsl:call-template name="getCustomProperty">
    <xsl:with-param name="entityAttribute" select="$entityAttribute"/>
    <xsl:with-param name="propertyName" select="'ON_BLUR'"/>
    </xsl:call-template>
    </xsl:with-param>
    but the result inemployees.jsp is not what i expected:
    <td class="prompt" nowrap="nowrap">FirstName</td>
    <td nowrap="nowrap">
    <html:text name="EmployeesBean" property="EmployeesFirstName" size="20" maxlength="30" onblur="" />
    </td>
    like yousee this.value=null is missing in onblur=""
    i hope you can help me
    Best regards
