No logic in the visible attribute?

FB 3.1
I have the following code which determines whether a button
should be displayed
<mx:Button id="nextButton" icon="{app.nextIcon}"
label="Next" visible="{wizard.selectedIndex < 0}"/>
I'm getting this error:
The value of attribute "visible" must not contain the '<'
character
I've found this bug which relates to the text attribute,
marked as Closed (Cannot Fix). It's not a serious bug in the
context of the "text" attribute but pretty serious with "visible"
attribute.

It's not clear from your post if you're trying to hide or
show the button if nothing is selected, but here's how you can do
it either way:
Show the button whenever an item is selected (selectedIndex
is greater than -1).
visible="{dg.selectedIndex != -1}"
Hide the button when no item is selected (selectedIndex is
-1).
visible="{dg.selectedIndex == -1}"
This also works great on the enabled property if you want to
see the button but have it grayed out.
fyi any non-zero number is TRUE when cast to Boolean:
-1 = TRUE
0 = FALSE
1 = TRUE

  • I have a plot with two cursors - how can I control the "visible" attribute of the second cursor?

    I have a waveform graph with multiple plots and two cursors. I can use the "cursor->visible" property to control cursor #1 but I cannot seem to find a way to control the visible attribute for cursor #2. Is there a way to do this?
    Thanks,

    There's an "Active Cursor" property that allows you select which cursor the following actions operate on. Remember that property nodes "execute" from top to bottom...

  • The Visible attribute on alv grid column is not changed after Change Layout

    Setup:
    I have a program that displays output in an ALV grid (using cl_salv_table).
    The ALV grid is displayed within a custom control on a subscreen.
    I have 4 subscreens being used on a tabstrip control.  So I have 4 ALV grids total (one on each subscreen).
    On each ALV grid, I have set the set_layout_change function to true so that the user can hide and unhide columns etc. on each grid via the button on the alv grid toolbar.
    I also allow the user to dowload the contents of all 4 grids to excel.  To do this I have a custom button that when clicked goes to each ALV grid - gets the column metadata (via cl_salv_columns_table-get() ) and checks the visibility to determine if the column should be downloaded or not (via cl_salv_column-is_visible() ) to excel.
    The Problem:
    As I said I have 4 grids being displayed via a tab control.  Let's say the user is on tab 1 and unhides some columns on the alv grid 1 via the Change Layout... button.  And then the user navigates to tab 2.  If they click the download button at that point - when the download code is run and it checks the visibility of the columns on alv grid 1 - the changes that were made via the Change Layout... button have not synchronized yet.  When I call is_visible() for a column that was unhid it still comes back as false.
    The only way I have found to remedy this is to make the user click on a button on the alv grid's toolbar before navigating to a different tab to force the synchronization between the changes made and the backend column metadata.  However, this is not the best option and requires training for the user that they have to do this for the download to work correctly.
    The Question:
    1) why is the Change Layout... button not automatically synchronizing the changes it made to the back end?  Is there a way to make it do this?
    2) OR, is there a way that I can force the synchronization within the code and not force the user to click a button on the alv grid?  If there is a way to force the synchronization - where do I put that code?  As far as I can tell, when I switch between tabs - I am unable to catch that action in my PAI events.
    Thanks in advance for any help.

    I was able to resolve this issue with a satisfactory solution.
    In my program I had a local class definition to handle the grids' events.  When the synchronization wasn't working I only had two events defined: for link_click and added_functions.
    I created another definition for event after_salv_function:
                   on_after_salv_function for event after_salv_function of cl_salv_events importing e_salv_function
    There is no code in the method implementation - but adding this event handler now causes a synchronization to occur after the Change Layout is done.

    I've tried visible="yes" and the same error.
    I actually need to put something like this:
    visible="{gridName.selectedItem.process=='Fast'}"

    The ..\CFIDE\scripts\... directory is where ColdFusion keeps all its client JavaScript, CSS, Flash, etc code used for any of the CFML wizard tags that build User Interface elements such as <cfform...> and <cfinput...>.
    The server is complaining that it can not access files from that location.  That means that the /CFIDE/scripts/ folder is not available OR its permissions have been locked down.  (Since the ColdFusion Administrator Portal application also exists in the /CFIDE/ folder this in not uncommon.)  The /CFIDE/ folder is usually a virtual directory mapping configured in the web server to where the ColdFusion Server was installed.
    Luckily, you can just copy the /scripts/ folder into any handy location in your website from any other convient ColdFusion installation and use the capabilities to configure ColdFusion to use an alternate path to find these files.  The easiest would be just copy them to a /CFIDE/scripts/ path under your web root.

  • How to use the visible property

    Hi all,
    Im trying to implement the page(view)which has 3 trays.
    Once the page is loaded ,I want to make only the first tray visible and other 2 trays should be invisible.
    Based on the users input on the 1 st tray, the 2nd or 3rd tray shud get enabled and visible to the user.
    Please let me know how to make the tray visibl after the user input.
    Regards,
    Nithya K

    Hi Nithya,
    Please create the context attribute for the visibilty type.  Once context attribute created,
    Select type <...> button >> Dictonary Simple Type >> Dictonary >> Local Dictonary >> type com.sap.ide.webdynpro.uielementdefinitions >> Visibility OR directly put type     com.sap.ide.webdynpro.uielementdefinitions.Visibility
    Then try to implement you logic for showing the 2nd or 3rd tray in the if loop. like
    if (<condition true>)
       wdContext.currentContextElement().set<your Attribute name>(WDVisibility.VISIBLE);
    else
       wdContext.currentContextElement().set<your Attribute name>(WDVisibility.NONE);
    Then bind the visible properties in the Tray.
    Hope it helps

  • Is it possible to change the visibility of a inputText in run-time?

    Supposed my jsp has a radio-group with two radio buttons called "visible" and "invisible" and an iputText component. What I want is: at the beginning the inputText is visible and enable. If I click the "invisible" this inputText will changed to invisible and disable. And if I click the "visible" this inputText can be seen and enable again.
    Can I do this with JSF or just with java script?

    To enlarge on what rlubke has been saying.
    <h:outputLabel rendered="#{! loginBean.loggingOut}"  style=" color:rgb(198,0,0);" value="#{i18nBean['USER.VMP010.ITEM6']}" styleClass="PageTitle"/>See how the rendered attribute is deriving it's value from a bound boolean expression. The expression "loginBean.loggingOut" evaluates to a method-call "loginBean.isLoggingOut()" which should return true or false. The "!" operator can be used in much the same way as you use it in Java.

  • How to get cm:search to use the max attribute when creating the SQL query?

    When we use the max attribute in the cm:search tag, it does not seem to honor the max attribute when creating the SQL query. However, the result returned from the tag is limited to the number specified by the max attribute. Then the tag seems to work as intended, but the performance will be sub optimal when the SQL query returns unnecessary rows to the application.
    We use the cm:search tag to list the latest news (ordered by date), and with the current implementation we have to expect a decrease in performance over time as more news is published. But we can’t live with that. We need to do the constraint in the SQL query, not in the application.
    The sortBy attribute of cm:search is translated to “order by” in the SQL query, as expected.
    Is it possible to get cm:search to generate the SQL query with an addition of “where rownum <= maxRows”?

    Hi Erik,
    The behavior of a repository in regards to the search tag's max results parameter is dependent on the underlying repository's implementation. That said, the OOTB repository in WLP does augment the generated SQL to limit the number of rows returned from the database. This is done in the parsing logic. This behavior may differ with other repository implementations.

  • Adding logic to the hide/show

    Hi Guys
    I am pretty new at this so please excuse my ignorance. I have added hide/show regions into a cell of an advanced table. In the VO I also coded in the boolean decode.
    So now when I run my page I get the the following: where there is details for the cell the cell is in Hide status, when the details are null its in show status.
    The decode is as follows: decode(contact_details.contact_name,Null,'0','1'). The attribute is set to Boolean.
    My issue is when I click on the hide/show link on the page it does not "work". ie: if I click on the show status it does not toggle to hide status and visa versa.
    Am I meant to add logic to the controller?
    Thanks

    Is your page embedded in a workflow page or notification? If so, then you cann't have hide/show action rather any action on your page as per workflow standards. They require you to embed a region and not a page.

  • AD user script to populate the IPPHONE attribute with the last 4 digits of the Telephonenumber attribute

    Good Afternoon Scripting Guys. I have a script that I have been working with pretty much all day today and just cant quite get it to play nice. Our objective is to search AD for specific users (say filtering them out with a username that starts with a "T")
    and User account is "Enabled" then grab the last four digits of their phone number (phone number is set up as follows: (800) 123 456 ) then populate the IPPHONE attribute with the last four digits of their phone number. I have read a ton of online
    blogs with users successfully making this happen but it appears that they are all using Quest (as the commands are all Get-qaduser and Set-qaduser). I need something that runs strictly in native Active Directory Module PowerShell on a Windows Server 2008r2
    Domain Controller.  I am also trying to keep it as simple as possible by using a Get command, then piping a Set command.  I have saved the script into a .ps1 file with the logic as follows:
    $SelUsers = Get-ADUser -filter {(SamAccountName -like "t*")} -Properties ipphone,telephonenumber -searchbase "OU=Test Users,OU=Temporary Org,OU=Test_Domain Users,DC=mydomain,DC=com" | where {($_.enabled -eq $True)}
    foreach ($user in $SelUsers)
     {$user.ipphone = $user.telephonenumber(4,$User.telephonenumber.length-4)
     set-aduser -instance $user}
    What is happening is kind of funny, but aggravating at the same time.  When we run the script, it completes with no errors.  When I pull up the properties of a user in the OU, the IP Phone field is populated with the number 8.  If the User
    account did not have a telephone number, the IP Phone field is populated with a -4.  So, apparently, the script is somehow subtracting the "-4" from the number of all of the Telephone Number field's characters.  Basically 12-4 is 8.
    If there is no telephone number, then 0-4 is -4.  I have run the Get-ADUser portion of the script independently so I know its getting the correct users.  I also know it is populating the IPPHONE attribute but not with the last 4 digits of the telephone
    number.  Can you guys help out and maybe get this to work correctly?  Also, can you add logic to it to the script to delete any value in the IPPHONE field first, then replace it with the last 4 digits of the telephone.
    Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!!!!  Thanks Guys...
    Lee

    First thing I would do is modify your filtering. This will remove the unneeded piping to the Where-Object cmdlet and also allow us to only return users who already have something in the telephoneNumber field. It is possible this could return all of your
    users, but if you have service accounts, etc. that do not have a telephoneNumber then they will not be included in your results. It's just a little cleaner.
    $SelUsers = Get-ADUser -filter {(SamAccountName -like 't*' -and Enabled -eq $True -and TelephoneNumber -like '*')}
    I suspect you may have a made a mistake when you entered what your phone numbers looks like. I assume that you forgot a final digit. If this is correct, and you have a space in the phone number between the three digits and the final four then you can use
    the split method to grab the last four digits.
    Foreach ($User in $SelUsers) {
    $Number = $User.telephoneNumber.split(' ')[-1]
    Set-ADUser -Identity $User -Replace @{ipPhone=$Number}
    There's no reason to delete what's in the field first because that's part of what the -Replace parameter will do anyway. This should help get you started!

  • What is the logic in the Application Builder

    Hi guys,
    What is the logic in the application builder when creating e.g a Report. When we create a static report we go through these four steps:
    <ul>
    Display Attributes
    Source
    Report Attributes
    Conditional Display </ul>
    Starting from the "Source" step we can Click "Create Report", and create the report .....
    is there a table for each step... or there is a collection for each step. So, when we click Create Button the collections are inserted into tables, then get emptied. ?????
    In my case, i have three real-estate entities: landlords, properties, and marketing. it goes like this:
    enter the landlord details, then click create to move to the next page to enter the property details, then click create to move to the next page to enter the marketing details.
    i hope that my question is clear..

There's a "Wizard wizard" as an option when creating a new page that enables you create and link the basic multiple page structure. Themes have "Wizard Progress List" (vertical orientation) and "Wizard Progress List, Horizontal Train" (horizontal) list templates that can be used as stage progress indicators. You have to construct the contents of each page using standard components. Once the "Wizard wizard" is completed there's nothing to indicate that the pages are logically related&mdash;strangely it doesn't even generate a wizard progress list for you.
    Use Collections to store the data from intermediate stages before final processing if all of the data is captured in one session. If you want persistence across sessions (e.g. allowing users to enter information over several days) use separate drafting/staging tables instead of/in addition to collections to capture the data before final validation and promotion to the main tables.

  • An error occured while creating the original attribute....

    Hello Gurus,
    I am getting an error message when I try to save a document using CV01N. It says:
    "An Error occured while creating the original attribute for XXX"
    Can someone please help me here ?
    Regards,
    Rajesh.

    We get the same error message sometimes but then the documnet already is created. Trouble then is that s an inconsistence in the KPRO.
    There is an incomplete/orphaned LOIO (logical object identifier), incomplete means that there is no original associated to it.
    Don't know why this happens but we fix by doing following.
    I run transaction SE38 and execute program DMS_KPRO_CHECK1
    In bottom of the result list there is a section called: Loios in DMS without reference to KPRO.  These documents have a LOIO but no original.
    This can be checked running transaction SE38 and execute program DMS_KPRO_READ.
    When the document is checked in DMS_KPRO_READ I go back to DMS_KPRO_CHECK1, and delete the LOIO.
    The inconsistency will then be cleared.
    Hope this can be of any help for you.

    We encounter  this error in  "An error occured while creating the original attribute for " DMS  very often when a user edits a file & tries to check in.
    I searched the forums & realized that this is caused by the inconsistencies in the KPRO & DMS server and removing these

  • PS CS6 BETA, Mac OS Lion: How to paint without the transfer attribute.

    PS CS6 BETA, Mac OS Lion: When I want to paint with a brush without the transfer attribute so that I get flat paint without opacity change I uncheck the option box however it rechecks itself after I make a stroke, why...is this just a bug? It shouldn't work this way.

    I have a set of brushes that I always use and one is set for NO TRANSFER so that I can paint flatly.  I'm using an Intuous 4  Wacom tablet.  After attempting to use my brush it did not  give me the flat paint I wanted.  I opened the brushes pallette and noticed that the transfer attribute was on(thought to myself that shouldn't be on because this brush is saved to work with it off).  I turned off the attribute and began to paint only to find that the transfer opacity attribute was sitll in affect.  I turned it off again and WATCHED the brush pallette and saw that without me selecting that checkbox it rechecked itself.  I restarted PS multiple times( the cmd+opt+shift did not do anything after holding it on launch, the Adobe trial dialog box pops up).  I did a test on ALL brushes available and they alll seem to be FORCED into the transfer attribute! I tested it with my mouse and FINALLY the brush painted FLAT so perhaps it is linked to the pressure sensitive pen??(WHICH IS NOT HOW IT IS IN CS5)  In CS5 I was able to select a flat brush and paint flat without having to press down with the full pressure.  As I continued testing solutions the issue changed slightly... Now all of the brushes have the transfer attribute whether the checkbox is on or off.  I would uncheck the box and paint and not get my flat paint but the box would not recheck itself but rather certain actions would cause it to recheck itself such as Fill canvas, hold opt for eyedropper, hold comand for move tool, switching between tools.. it's weird and unexplainable.. Basically it didn't matter if the box was checked or not because no matter what the attribute was autoomatically on every brush.  Please tell me this can be fixed because it is vital to digital painting workflow especially if you prefer firmer wacom pen settings and do not want to have to press all the way for flat color.
