No manuals in trial 2.0 ??
Hello all,
this is an open question: I do need to know and warn prospective buyers that no PDF manuals are included if indeed there are none....
I suppose this is what explains the download is just under 80 Megs when 1.5.6 was 120 Megs plus.
So My question is: has anyone already "unlocked" the 2.0 demo by buying a code? and if yes, are the manuals there??
There is a link to manuals and other tech pubs in the excellent Aperture feature pages off apple.com. Also recommend the video tutorials as a great intro for those who take their major software updates gradually.
Apple shipped great PDF's with the CD/DVD's on 1, so i expect with 2 is delivered you will find a great waterfall of digital paper.

Transporting between FCP and Color... And changes to an edit?
This is my first attempt at color and I have been working on a project for a couple of days now, reading through the manual and trial and error stuff...
Basically I'm a little confused how I get my graded project out of color back into FCP with the changes. I'm hitting send to FCP but am coming back to the project with the ungraded versions I started with in FCP...
Am I able to grade only a few selects from the entire sequence and leave some others for another time, in order to show a client some examples of what we are trying to do?
I'm enjoying using the tools inside color but am finding it very frustrating to come up with a workflow or even kind of understand how the software is working.
Any ideas or help would be great. I've tried for a couple of days now, but have hit a bit of a wall.
Cheers.The User Interface is locked. The application is very single-minded to its purpose and no code/CPU cycles were wasted on remapping panes. Its very much a speed issue. Its tuff enuff getting 17 fps on HD the way things are.
In your setup room, you should create a Grades directory for the project where you save oft-used or complex grades. It'd be a place to copy all the grades if you needed to hand-reconform a project. That is -- copy each grade into that folder, create new project and then drag each grade back into the individually appropriate clip. Tedious, but you're not a REAL COLOR user until you've been forced to do it at least once. ;-P
And if you think that's bollocks, wait until you need to figure out how to copy a grade into a keyframe sequence... I don't think that one is in the manual. I'll be watching for that to come up.
If you think post-lock revisions are inconvenient now, think about what it was like to re-open a graded show in the tape-to-tape days. It had to be a serious problem because it came down to these things (a lot of them) --> $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

EasyFind Not Easy and Doesn't Find
Along with many others, I became frustrated with Spotlight's unreliable searches. As suggested, I installed Spotless and EasyFind. I disabled Spotlight.
I've recently encountered several clear, replicable instances of EasyFind's inability to find simple documents, stored in obvious locations.
Further investigation seems to indicate EasyFind does not reliably find files unless I check "files and folders", even though I have no need to search for folders.
This has shaken my confidence in EasyFind. In addition, it's awfully slow and doesn't search by date.
I have the most recent version of EasyFind.
What alternative is recommended?

533 mhz dual CPU G4 Mac OS X (10.4.6)To answer my own question, it appears that EasyFind has a bug in it. For instance, I was recently searching for a word processor document called "father's day.letter". When EasyFind couldn't find it, I eventually found it manually.
Trial and error showed that if I check "only files" and search for "father's" or "father" the document doesn't show up with EasyFind. If I check "files & folders" then EasyFind does find it, though it takes a few minutes.
Maybe EasyFind will be satisfactory, now that I know how to work around the bug, or quirk, or whatever it is.
I think I'll try a multi-pronged approach to Spotlight headaches. Apparently there is no ideal solution, for now. I don't want to revert to Panther.
So, I'm forcing SpotLight to re-index about once a week, or whenever it can't find something I know is there. I use Spotless to force the re-index. I'll continue to use EasyFind as a supplement or backup to Spotlight, and now I've added NotLight to the arsenal.
That's not ideal, but it will probably work.

P.S. Apple -- if you're lurking -- in the next revision of Spotlight, give the user a re-index option, and give the user a choice of what volumes are to be re-indexed. An intelligent alert that says, "It's time to re-index Spotlight" would be appreciated. Also give the user the option of turning off index-by-content and search-by-content. I just don't need that feature. It bogs down my computer and clogs up my hard disk. -
I am having a hard time to understand the shrinkage in dimensions that happens from HDV footage captured in FCE HD 3.5 which is 1920 x 1080 and subsequently ends up after finishing the project in iDVD 6.0 with a dimension of 720 x 576. It is probably a very simple explanation but I am new to video editing and I am learning from manuals and trial and error. Anybody who can explain this?
iMac Mac OS X (10.4.9)The simple explanation is that you're compressing your HD material to standard definition. There is no HD DVD authoring options available in iDVD, and unless you have a HD DVD or Blu-ray burner you can't burn an HD disc.

Elements 11--putting pictures in shapes
How do i create a shape and stick part of a picture in it? i.e. if i create a star shape (to look like and ornament) and then i want to put a few faces in the star. i sure this is elements 101, but i can't understand the manual and trial and error is getting me no where.
The easiest way is to use the cookie cutter tool, which will crop your photo to any of the elements shapes. In PSE 11 it's just below the crop tool in the toolbox:

I' have tried, old, manual, overclocking trials via the BIOS, changing FSB, or using Set Fsb and it works fine from 2.4 GHz to 2.8 - 2.95 GHZ without Vid increase (1.325v max).
Then I came back to stock values (BIOS optimal msi values),
Then I installed the Dual Core Center when installing xp sp3. When I click on DOT immed. freeze, even with 1% !
I tried under the bios (1.10 last), et voilà ! crash. on reboot ! Damned !
What about it ? dynamic o.c. is very pleasant to use for 24/24h use.
Dynamic o.c works very fine with an AxxS P45, so what else ?

Manual journal entries created in Ap did not see in Accounts Payable Trial
Hi Experts,
Report Accounts Payables Trial Balance, with parameter Include SLA/Manuals/Other Sources Flag set to Yes, does not show manual journal entries.
These Manual journals entries are created in AP
Navigation: Payables -->Accounting --> Subledger accounting --> Journal Entries.
Ofter creating the journal entries i ran Accounts Payable Trial Balance, when i go through the output i did not see the Manual journal entries which are created in AP.
Please help me it is very urgent.

Unistall Manually: SAP NetWeaver 7.0 (2004s) Trial Version
Hello, I want to uninstall SAP NetWeaver 7.0 (2004s) Trial Version, but I do not have the software installers, how can I manually remove all the SAP instance?

Do these steps:
Stop the SAP system. Stop the SAP Services.
Stop SAPOSCOL service.
Disable the SAP Services including saposcol.
Delete the SAP profiles.
Delete all the SAP Instance directory.
Delete the SAP Services using the command "sc delete <service name>"
Stop the database.
Stop the database services.
Drop the database.
Using the Uninstaller of Database, uninstall the software.
Then remove all the folders remaining in database and SAP folders.
Else, if you are having the installation manager CD, then you can uninstall the SAP and Database.
There is an option there, just check. ( I am not sure about this option as I have not worked on this) -
Yesterday Adobe Helpdesk gave me a link to manually update my monthly paid for Photoshop CC and now I am getting 00 day trial version expiration warnings, but I paid already for 5 months. How fix this today?
ps: on Thursday there was a automatic windows 8.1 update before shutting down the pc and in friday the photoshop CC monthly paid for since huly 19, did not download the available update. Via helpdesk I got a link to manually update the photoshop CC but today I get a warning that the photoshop CC has 00 days left in trail....whereas I have been paying and using it for 5 months already and helpdesk chat is closed today on saturday.

Can I manually install a trial downloaded with the Assistant?
I am trying to install Photoshop Extended CS6 under Ubuntu/Wine (as I have done previously, successfully with PS7 and PS CS2 at our institute). Unfortunately it is only available via Download Assistant, which runs under Ubuntu/Wine, downloads stuff, but then get's utterly stuck "extracting".
Can I manually install the trial?

Cancelled invoices still appearing in AP Trial Balance report
Hi,
The invoice was cancelled during 2007 but it is still showing in the AP Trial balance and GL Trial Balance report.
May I know why? The current fix is to go the JE and fix it to zero, but this involves lot of manual work.
Please guide me to find the exact root cause.

Error in installing ABAP 7.2 trial version

I tried installing ABAP 7.2 trial version in my laptop with Windows Vista Home Basic edition. The installation gives an error in the "Execute" step in Phase 18 "Perform MaxDB Post load activities". The following is the error.

the error is related to user creation:

Home Editions of Windows has some limitation in user management - for example, the snap-in of local users and group is not directly available in MMC. Probably the installation fails for this reason. You can create user nspadm manually if missing and retry the installation

install issues, your support personnel are trained not to provide any reasonable help with even minor questions and concerns helping to make sure your trial experiences are progress and successful, your product support Mgrs show lack luster concern if you
need some technical direction. The first thing that is asked is do you have a support contract or credit card for this session. Now, if I am evaluating products a support contract should not be necessary as you should want customers to have good
outcomes with their trials.
I have been trying to configure test servers with the above mentioned products for the past 6 days with no success. Each install is different and the configurations some times work and some times they don't. I reach out for help in your forums,
etc., and am still at square one.
This frustrating and breeds a lack of confidence in your organization. When Bill Gates was in charge I experienced none of the nonsense today.
I have identified bugs and issues to your product teams and they gladly accept these. But when help is needed...it is send us an email type attitude. I have 8 8 core servers running windows 2008 server R2 slated for upgrading to windows
2012 server, and more after that. If I don't get the trial software to work, the upgrades are terminated.
Please give me some help or you will loose me as a customer, and customers that I installed systems for.

Thanks for the reply, i have however not been able to find any viable hotfix from MS addressing this problem so far. I only found the QFE for 2008 R2, but this is not applicable in my enviroment.
Sadly, we are experiencing the same issue with the 2008 R2 server as print server now. So the problem seems to be with the 2012 R2 RDS servers.
We have been able to narrow it down to a probable cause though:
The issue seems to be the cause of Client Side Rendering, even if it is disabled on the shared printers. We are seeing heavy bloating in the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Print\Providers\Client Side Rendering Print Provider
The same printers are listed multiple times in subkeys for each user-SID.
The print server is listed twice under the 'Servers' key, once with just the hostname and once with the fqdn. Benath these two many of the printers are also listed multiple times.
Consequences are that printers are showing as clones for the users and they cannot set them as default printer. If they remove the printer manually, it just reappears. Setting a delete on the shared printer through GPP does not work either.
The only manual workaround we have found working is to delete the entire "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Print\Providers\Client Side Rendering Print Provider" key on the
terminal server in question, and then restart the print spooler. This fixes the problem for the user, but once they start logging off and on again, the bloating of the registry is at it once more - and the problems following with it.
In an enviroment with 70+ printers and 15 RDS servers, spread on 3 different farms, it's not a good solution though.

I have a query regarding the Trial balance Report.
When i run the trial balance for the period 01-04-09 to 31-12-09, I get certain figures for the accounts. When i run the Sales analysis report and the purchase analysis report, I get certain figures as well.
Now I would like to know and check whether the sale figures and the purchase figures are correct or not? How do I compare the result of the sale analysis with that of trial balance for the same period? Please guide.

The basic principle of making sure that the G/L account balances to its corresponding item group or warehouse is quite simple:
1. Never post journals to these accounts unless absolutely necessary.
2. Make sure the account determination is correct and that all transactions types are fully understood in terms of their impact on the trading stock account as well as on the moving average calculation. Remember that these 2 work hand in hand and any transaction that updates or relies on moving average will typically post an entry to the trading stock account.
I must also mention at this point in time that 2005A (I am not sure of 2005B) had issues with the updating of stocks which was fixed in 2007A. The major changes are in the way that SAP handles negative stock. In the old versions, negative stock was posted at zero cost, while in 2007A it will use the last known cost and do price adjustments automatically if the new stock purchased, which now makes the on hand positive, was at a different cost.
From your last response, it would appear that your first problem relates to not having the correct sales return account for each item group. Please change this and then run a query on all sales credit notes to determine which cost on which line was supposed to post to which trading stock account. Next post a journal, preferably one per month, to reallocate the value of the credit notes (cost of sales value) to the correct trading stock account/(s).
Next check that no other manual entries or any service documents (purchases or sales) were posted directly against the trading stock accounts. Reallocate as necessary.
Next try to run the sales analysis for one item group and one month at a time, also run the stock audit report for the same item group and month and compare.
If you still find major differences on the above then let me know. My address for mailing is exposed under my profile. I will send you some queries to run that join the stock movement tables, document tables and allow you to compare to the journal table.

Well, I had installed in my new computer a trial version from Acrobat XI Pro, but I had issues with Microsoft Word 2010, since it did not allow me to save changes on my file. I uninstalled it from my computer before the trial period was over, and then, after I solved the issue with Office, I wanted to get it back for a time, but the installer does not allow me to choose Trial Version. I can reach that screen where you choose between key and trial, but once I press trial and click on next, it does absolutely nothing at all.
I have tried to manually delete folders, and I even used CC Clean to make a registry set up, but nothing out of that is working for me at all, and it keeps happening. I have no really idea what to do, and I kinda need to use Acrobat immediately for a file.The trial can only be loaded 1 time as far as I know. You could try http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html, remove any left over parts of the Acrobat folder, and reboot. Then try an install again, but my guess is you will have to purchase Acrobat at this point.
