No margins in a row container

I have a row container with 3 rows.
In each row, I display 5 entries.
Now, the 5 entries in each row are displayed next to each other without any spacing between them.
What can I do do add some spacing (margins, paddings) between the elements?

Hi Koen,
I tried using both row_design and v_gutter, but both seem to have no effect in my case.
Still, there is no spacing between the elements at all.
And I found no place to specify a number of pixels anywhere.
Regards,
Daniel
PS: In the preview of the screen in the abap workbench, i see some spacing. But then calling the application, there is no spacing.

    Hi,
    To avoid ORA-22920 error while selecting lob column, use the 'for update' clause in the select statement like :
    query = "select * from clob1 where id="+currval+" FOR UPDATE" ;
    This should solve the problem. However, after fixing this, you might get the error :
    java.sql.SQLException: ORA-1002: fetch out of sequence
    I got this error when testing your code. To avoid this error, before executing 'select ... for update' statement Set AutoCommit to OFF, like :
    query = "select * from clob1 where id="+currval+" FOR UPDATE" ;
    con.setAutoCommit(false);
    rs =stmt.executeQuery(query);
    Hope that Helps,

  • How can I search a word in a column and erase all the rows containing that word?

    How can I erase all the rows containing a certain word at once?
    Right now I do it manually : I search the word in a certain column with cmd+f, after that it points out where the word is in different rows. And then I manually erase every row but this takes a lot of time when you have 500 row! There must be a way to select all the rows concerned at once and erase them? Thks!

    assuming this is something you don't do very often you can simply use the search feature to identify instances of the search term, and select the row, delete the row then search again.
    The next level would be to add a new column where you identify that the search term exists in a cell of the row, then you sort by the new column:
    B1=IF(IFERROR(FIND("team", A1,1), 0)>0, "FOUND", "")
    my search term is "team" change yours as needed.
    select B1, copy,
    select Column B, paste
    Now sort:
    Inspect the rows to make sure the rows found are REALLY ones you want to remove.  select the ones you want to remove and delete those rows.

  • Hiding table row containing label and item

    Thanks,

    Hi Robert,
    Take a look at Carl's documentation page -
    http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=38704:2:1838921420011323::NO::P2_ID1:9
    The $x_ItemRow function looks like it does what you want.

    Hi Hans,
    Thanks for that. It works to an extent in that it returns the correct Column, but I actually want it to return the Column heading. It's my fault for not making it clear, I should have used different names for the column headings rather than just A to S......apologies.
    Other than that, it does work, but if you have any suggestions on how to get the actual column heading, that would be great.

  • A script to delete all table rows containing a specific text

    Hello,
    I've tried some old scripts but can't get around to the right solution.
    I need a script that will delete all rows in a table that contain a specific single-word text, something like "xxx".
    Anyone's got an idea?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    To remove a row use row.remove() method.
    So iterate through table.rows and remove the one matched a condition.
    If we talk about condition you have to be more accurate - what do you mean "a row contain a text":
         ==> 1st cell contains,
         ==> any cell contains.
    Entire row contents is an array of its cells.contents, so your 1st row text is:
    rows[0].contents.join(" ")     ==> string

    Hi,
    Assuming the following 4 things:
    (1) report_range_parameters contains data like this, from your [previous thread|http://forums.oracle.com/forums/message.jspa?messageID=3541079#3541079]
    id  group      name         min_value      max_value
    1   gvw_group  gvw_name      0              5
    2   gvw_group  gvw_name      5              10
    3   gvw_group  gvw_name     10              15(2) max_value is actually outside the range (that is, a value of exactly 5.000 is counted in the '5->10' range, not the '0->5' range)
    (3) the range has to match some column x that is in one of the tables in your main query
    (4) You want to add that column x to the GROUP BY clause
    then you shopuld do somehting like this:
    select   SUM(NVL("Class 0", 0)) "Class 0"  ,
                SUM(NVL("Class 1", 0)) "Class 1"  ,
                SUM(NVL("Class 2", 0)) "Class 2"  ,
                SUM(NVL(" ", 0)) "Total"
    ,         report_parameter_min_value || ' -> ' || report_parameter_max_value     AS weight_range          -- New
         FROM (
                 SELECT report_data.bin_start_date_time start_date_time,
                        SUM(DECODE(report_data.gvw, 0, report_data.gvw_count, 0)) "Class 0" ,
                        SUM(DECODE(report_data.gvw, 1, report_data.gvw_count, 0)) "Class 1" ,
                        SUM(DECODE(report_data.gvw, 2, report_data.gvw_count, 0)) "Class 2" ,
                        SUM(NVL(report_data.gvw_count, 0)) " "
                  FROM report_data
                 GROUP BY report_data.bin_start_date_time
              ) results
       RIGHT OUTER JOIN tmp_bin_periods
                     ON results.start_date_time >= tmp_bin_periods.bin_start_date_time
                    AND results.start_date_time <  tmp_bin_periods.bin_end_date_time
       LEFT OUTER JOIN  report_range_parameters                                        -- New
                    ON  x >= report_parameter_min_value                                    -- New
              AND x <  report_parameter_max_value                                   -- New
                    AND report_range_parameters.report_parameter_id = 2359                         -- New
                    and report_range_parameters.report_parameter_group = 'GVW_GROUP'               -- New
                    and report_range_parameters.report_parameter_name  = 'GVW_NAME'                    -- New
               GROUP BY tmp_bin_periods.bin_start_date_time,

  • No totalization in a report of report painter for row containing a set

    Hi!
    I've created a set XXXX based on the table-field  GLPCT-RACCT. One of the row of the set is a formula. The formula is the sum of the rows of the set / 2  i.e row 005 of the set XXXX is (001002003+004)/2. The set has been added as characteristic value element, as row of a report of report painter. I've take a look to the output of the report but the total of the row based on the set does not take into consideration the formula inside. why?
    i.e
    Report                                  period 1
    row 1                                          100
    row 2                                      10000
    row Z based on set XXXX:
    001                                               20
    002                                               20
    003                                               20
    004                                               40
    005 (formula)                               50
    total of row Z based on set       100  (instead of 150)
    Could you help me in solving the problem?
    Thanks
    Giovanna

    There may not be any currency attached to the value derived by the formula. That could be the reason why it is not getting summed up. The total would be expecting all the items to be summed up are of same currency,
    I am not sure of how to make the total to add up the formula.
    Alternatively you may check to see if all your row requirements can be fitted in within the set , i.e. including subtotals and totals.

  • A script to apply cell style to entire rows containing a specific text

    Hi,
    I am using InDesign CC 2014
    Does anyone know how to apply a cellstyle based on text contents found in a cell in javascript?
    I need to search the document and change cell style in entire row to "cellStyle01" if the text "someText" appear in cell.
    I've found similar script here in forum which apply table style, but don't know how to change it to apply cell style!
    var curDoc = app.activeDocument;
    var allTables = curDoc.stories.everyItem().tables.everyItem();
    app.findTextPreferences = app.changeTextPreferences = null;
    app.findTextPreferences.findWhat = "someText";
    var allFounds = allTables.findText();
    app.findTextPreferences = app.changeTextPreferences = null;
    for ( var i = 0; i < allFounds.length; i++ ) {
    var curFound = allFounds[i];
    if ( curFound.length == 1 ) {
    var curFoundParent = curFound[0].parent;
    // curFoundParent.parent.appliedTableStyle = curDoc.tableStyles.itemByName( "tableStyle" );
    curFoundParent.parent.appliedCellStyle = curDoc.cellStyles.itemByName("cellStyle01");
    Thanks!

    Hi,
    Try this,
    var doc = app.activeDocument,
        _tables = doc.stories.everyItem().textStyleRanges.everyItem().getElements(),
        i, j, k, l, a, _rows,_cells, rowlen;
    for(i =0;i<_tables.length;i++)
        for(j =0;j<_tables[i].tables.length;j++)
            _rows = _tables[i].tables[j].rows;
            for(k =0;k<_rows.length;k++)
                _cells = _rows[k].cells;
                for(l =0;l<_cells.length;l++)
                    if(_cells[l].contents == "someText")
                        rowlen = _cells[l].parent.cells.length;

  • Split single row into multiple rows containing time periods

    Hi,
    I have a table with rows like this:
    id, intime, outtime
    1, 2010-01-01 00:10, 2010-01-3 20:00
    I would like to split this row into multiple rows, 1 for each 24hr period in the record.
    i.e. The above should translate into:
    id, starttime, endtime, period
    1, 2010-01-01 00:10, 2010-01-02 00:10, 1
    1, 2010-01-02 00:10, 2010-01-03 00:10, 2
    1, 2010-01-03 00:10, 2010-01-03 20:00, 3
    The first starttime should be the intime and the last endtime should be the outtime.
    Is there a way to do this without hard-coding the 24hr periods?
    Thanks,

    Thanks for all the feedback, Dan.
    It appears that the respective solutions provided will give you: a) different resultsets and b) different performance.
    Regarding your 'truly desired resultset' you haven't answered all questions from my previous post (there are differences in the provided examples), but anyway:
    I found that using CEIL or ROUND makes quite a difference, using my 'simple 3 record testset' (30 records vs. 66 records got initially returned, that's less than half of the original). That's quite a difference. However, I must call it a day (since it's almost midnight) for now, so there's room for more optimizement and I haven't thoroughly tested.
    But this might hopefully make a difference performancewise when compared to my previous 'dreaded example':
    SQL> drop table t;

    SQL> create table  t as
      2  select 1 id, to_date('2010-01-01 00:10', 'yyyy-mm-dd hh24:mi') intime, to_date('2010-01-03 20:00', 'yyyy-mm-dd hh24:mi') outtime from dual union all
      3  select 2 id, to_date('2010-02-01 00:10', 'yyyy-mm-dd hh24:mi') intime, to_date('2010-02-05 20:00', 'yyyy-mm-dd hh24:mi') outtime from dual union all

    I/we don't put anything into the date...  the field is simply empty and I use
    IsNull({datefield})
    also for numbers (&currency)
    IsNull({numberfield})
    For text fields I now use
    IsNull({textfield}) or {textfield} not equal ""
    as SQL is a little funny about the empty text fields. Sometimes one works and sometimes the other so I use both.

  • Deleting a row from a table containing CLOB as one of the columns

    When i delete a row from a table which contains a CLOB (internal clob) i.e. CLOB or BLOB column, Will the CLOB data will also be deleted ? I understand that what exactly stored in the CLOB column is the clob locator which points to the actual data.
    So, when I delete this row, the clob locator will be deleted, but will the actual data what this locator is pointing to is also deleted ??? if not what is the process to delete the data the locator is pointing to when the row containing the locator is deleted ? If this is not happening then the actual data might become an orphan data which nobody has access to, will automatic garbage cleaning occurs on a frequent intravels to delete unaddressed data residing on the database server ?
    Thanks in advance for the help, can email me at [email protected] alternatively.

    Michael,
    Thanks very much for your inputs, here are the results i got when i tried the way you explained in your answer, the TRUNCATE command made the actual size back to normal, but the delete is not the same, so, how can i delete the data that a particular clob locator may point to ?
    truncate would delete all the rows of the table, which might not serve my purpose, i would like to delete a row and also it's associated clob data from the database! is there anyway to do this ?
    is there any limitation on the ool_sample size? i am basically a c++ programmer, i am looking for some function like FREE which would free the allocated memory to the clob once the locator is deleted.
    your help is greatly appreciated - Thanks!

  • Can images inherit their container margins? [subject edited by moderator]

    I'm using a basic html template in Dreamweaver CC, and I've inserted images that don't confirm to the margins set in the container. How can I fix this, or how do I insert them so they inherit the margins of the container?

    Content inside a container doesn't inherit a margin as the margin is outside of the container. Looking at the image you have padding added to the text inside the container hence you have a space bewteen its edge and the text.
    Add some margin to the image, either by using css inline - margin-left: 20px; (see below)
    <img src="blahblah.jpg" width="XXX" height="XXX" alt="" style="margin-left: 20px;">
    Or better target the image in the container with css:
    #nameOfContainer img {
    margin-left: 20px;
    That should fix your issue. If it doesn't then please post your pages code and css here.
    There are other ways to achieve the appearance you require but I won't go into those now.

  • Adding new row to the reports list page

    How can I add a new report row in the reports list of the reports tab.
    Ex: a new row to the report "users by Date of Join report" is to be added
    How can we add Please help me out in this

    I am facing the same problem!
    camickr wrote:
    Try adding an empty row containing a null value for the String instead of the empty String.camickr, it will not help, the DefaultRowSorter in the "*+compare(int model1, int model2)+*" method return -1 if the first value is null and 1 if the sacond value is null. and incase of DESCENDING it mult by -1.
                    // Treat nulls as < then non-null
                    if (v1 == null) {
                        if (v2 == null) {
                            result = 0;
                        } else {
                            result = -1;
                    } else if (v2 == null) {
                        result = 1;
                    } else {
                        result = sortComparators[counter].compare(v1, v2);
                    if (sortOrder == SortOrder.DESCENDING) {
                        result *= -1;
                    }And this is the real problem!
    The empty line is sorted as the smallest value and incase of DESCENDING it will be the first line (because of the mult by -1).
    We could have overide it and incase of the empty row(usualy the last row) do not mult by -1 in DESCENDING mode.
    But the problem is that the "+*compare*+" method and it's caller "*+Row+*" inner class are private :-(
    It is not wise to do it but we can do like kmp83 wrote:
