No new high-end speakers from CL online shop empty...

I'm looking for some time to buy new 5.1 set.
My first choice was Z-5500 but im confused reading that this model is not good choice for 100%
Today i went to CL shop and....no megaworks or some other good 5.1.
New offer soon?
And no new revision of z-5500 or successor. Hard to buy something at this time.

I'm sorry you are having difficulty. An agent with access to your account will reach out to you directly by email, private message in the Forums and/or the billing telephone number on your Verizon account for more information or to help you resolve your issue.

I'm in the process of copying 4 innacurate bills, e-mails from Verizon & supporting documentation to forward to the FTC, FCC, and anyone else I can think of to expose Verizon's shoddy billing practices.  Efforts to resolve the matter have been unsuccessful, I'm sick of calling every month, and receiving the next bill with unresolved issues.  Last call to Verizon the CSR was so confused that she couldn't itemize the disputed amount...it's a disgrace. I was however cautioned to pay the disputed amount or I would have to deal with collections - BRING IT!!!  As soon as I can find an attractive bundle with COMCAST I'll cancel Verizon - it's the worst decision I' every made.

  • Migrate the Production APPS and DB to New High End Server

    Hi,
    current Low end server:
Single Node Installation: DB & APPS
    Version: 12.1.1 (11.1.0.7)
Operating System: Redhat Linux 5.4 (x86-64)
We have bought new high end machine with more cpu, RAM anad More Hard Disks.
We are going to move everything from current low end server to new high end server.
    1. Install Linux 64 bit on New High End Server with required RPMS, Kernel Parameters, User Limits etc etc
    2. Make partitions on this server as same as current server ( Mount Points should be same as current server)
    3. Make users and groups and assign proper permissions on partitions
    4. Maintain same hostname and IP Address in Target Server
    5. Run Preclone in both DB Tier and Apps Tier in Source Server
    6. Take backup of current server and copy it to Target Server
    7. Shutdown the Source Server
    8. Run config clone on Target Server
    9. Start the Services in Target Server, after clonining, Make sure that all services are running including concurrent managers
    10. Configure Printers at OS Level with same in Oracle Applications Printers Screen
    12. Copy the Backup scripts from source to target server
    13. If tape drive is configured at current server, configure it new Server as well.
Please let me know, if i miss anything....
    thanks in advance......

    Hi oraDBA2,
It's been long time, how are you doing?
Your steps are correct and I would say there is nothing missing. Please note the mount points on the target node(s) do not have to follow the same naming you have on the source node as you are going to run postclone on the target server(s). However, keeping it the same would make it more straightforward. As long as you have all pre-req. OS packages and software installed and you are going to keep the same hostname/domainname as well as IP Address, you should be good.
An alternative would be restoring the files on the target node(s) without running preclone/postclone but this requires relinking as per the following documents.
Note: 356878.1 - How to relink the whole Applications 11i Installation
Note: 131321.1 - How to Relink Oracle Database Software on UNIX
Note: 407055.1 - Process To Upgrade the Operating System and Oracle Database Server
Since Rapid Clone is your option (which I personally prefer) you can skip this part as relinking will be done by Rapid Clone, so you do not have to worry about it.
    Good luck!
    Thanks,
    Hussein

  • Rumor: Nokia to reveal new high end smartphone soon

Forbes is reporting from anonymous source that Nokia is going to announce a new high end smartphone at the start of MWC (2/27).  No word if it's a Windows Phone device or not.
Speculation on some of the posts throughout the interwebs is that it might be the 801 running Belle

    John,
Neither is an ideal machine. 64MB VRAM (and other video card factors) is not sufficient to run all Photoshop features. But the G5 may also need a video card upgrade (check Adobe's list of appropriate cards), which may or not be practical. And more and more apps are being developed for Intel only, so you are buying dated technology either way.
I'd be looking into a more capable Intel machine, either second-hand, refurbished, or as a lease (if for business).

  • Original Mac Pro vs. New High End iMac

I need some advice on whether to upgrade my system, based on the new iMacs just released. Here is what I currently own:
Mac Pro with two Intel 2.66 dual-core processors
    (Early 2007 edition)
    16x SuperDrive
    6 GB of RAM
    1 TB HD
ATI Radeon X1900 XT (512 MB)
    23" Apple Cinema Display
I'm thinking of selling all of that and buying the new high-end 27" iMac...
    2.66 GHz Intel Core i5
4 GB of memory (I'd upgrade it to 8 GB)
    2 TB Hard Drive
ATI Radeon HD 4850 graphics card
    27" display (included)
I've done the research and I would roughly break even. Cost is not a concern. The following factors are under consideration...
What is the performance difference between the 4 cores I have in the 2.66 Xeon vs the 4 cores in the Core i5?
My X1900 graphics card is not supported under Snow Leopard's OpenCL. The new HD 4850 would be.
I'd like to have the larger display (27" vs. 23") and the built-in video camera for iChat video conferencing.
I am not a professional user. I consider myself a high-end consumer user, primarily doing HD video editing with iMovie, some video encoding with Handbrake, and "prosumer" work with RAW files in Aperture. The rest is basic use- such as email, internet, etc.
I would love to have some objective advice on this decision!
    Thanks....

If performance of the current system is acceptable, I would keep it and use it as long as possible. You have the capability to do things like replace the display (with a new one of your choosing), upgrade the video card, and add additional internal SATA drives. Having additional internal storage at SATA speed, and using separate drives to store OS/apps and user data, will increase your system's productivity.
When performance of your Mac Pro is no longer acceptable, get a new Mac Pro.

  • New high end MBP when connected to 27" monitor gaming has a pulse type lag that is unrelated to FPS. I have tried everything and nothing seems to work. Any suggestions?

    Please help!

    Hi,
thanks very much for taking an interest and sharing your experiences. I'm glad your problem seems to have been resolved.
For me, none of the tricks you mention really solve the problem. As far as I understand, all of them come down to forcing the macbook pro to use the nvidia graphics (instead of integrated graphics) to run the monitor. When I do this, the amount of flickering is reduced dramatically, but it's still there - instead of constant flickers, I get them usually a couple times a minute, sometimes a few minutes in between. While that's an improvement, it's still very annoying, and distracts from doing work or watching movies.
Again, the MPB 13 doesn't have this problem in any circumstance.
I've posted a little video illustrating this: http://picasaweb.google.com/kevinjorissenpdx/ComputerProblems20101008?authkey=Gv1sRgCPad7e7M3qas-QE# and choose the last file.
You'll see the screen flicker like crazy, then I press shift-control-eject, which puts the screen to sleep, then I wake it up again - the mbp now knows it has to be on nvidia just as after you rebooted - and in the remaining minute or so, you can see it flicker twice (this is boring to wait for ;)), of course it did it again right after I switched off the camera . This is a 'best case' ; usually, the disturbances come every 15-20 seconds. I don't know why it varies.
if BSteely or anyone else has a way of submitting my reports to Apple, please go ahead. I'd like to finally get my monitor working right ...
(As an aside, I've noticed that 'Spaces' (with 4 desktops enabled, as is standard) and the external monitor don't work together smoothly & seem to get confused.)

  • What will the new high end 15" Retina Macbook Pro be like for gaming?

With Nvidia Geforce GT 750M 2GB GDDR5, what kind of performance can I expect? I must stress that this is not my main concern, but I would like to know that in my down time I can enjoy myself and not got worried about frame rates etc.  So what sort of standards for the "average" game will I see? I will be using Windows 7 via bootcamp.

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
Read some benchmarks in the Internet > http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-GT-750M.90245.0.html They will tell you how games would work with this GPU, but note that this may change depending on your screen resolution, GPU drivers...
In general, you shouldn't have any problem with that GPU to run games in medium-high settings. Be careful with the MacBook temperature, as it may get hot quickly

  • WUMC710 Won't Connect To High-end Cisco Routers

I just dropped some pretty big bucks on a shiny new Linksys / Cisco AC 1300 / WUMC710 Wireless Bridge, mainly because it was both gigabit speed and it had multiple ports available. It is flashed-up to the latest firmware. The configuration went pretty well and I was able to set the SSID with no trouble, but when I tried to do the "Site Survey" it only found one of the neighbors' networks, even though it was only a few feet away from my new Cisco RV180W Wireless-N router, which was open with no security whatsoever enabled and the SSID set. The computer was a fairly new Dell desktop running 32-bit Windows 8.1 Professional with a Realtek gigabit NIC and Cat6 patch cable.  No connection was ever made even though, as I mentioned, the SSID was set to match the router's and no security was in place on either the bridge or the router. Of course, the computer connected perfectly via a hardwire connection.
Next I took it to another location where I had another fairly new Dell desktop running 32-bit Windows 7 Professional with an Intel gigabit NIC using a Cat6 patch cable and where this time there was a Cisco WRVS4400N Wireless-N router which has had various and sundry devices, from wireless printers to iPhones and everything else under the sun connected to it with no problem whatsoever (no wireless devices were present at this particular time, though); the network SSID name on it was the same as at the other place so I didn't need to change that on the bridge.  This router also had open (no) security so I didn't have to monkey around with that on the bridge either. Now you would think, given the pre-configuraton, that the bridge would have immediately connected to this router but no such luck.  And then to add insult to injury, when I tried to do a "Site Survey" I was able to access the internal setup program just fine but not only did it not find the new (or any other, for that matter) network, it would freeze up and make me have to bail out of setup and start the process over and over again.  Today I dug-up an old, ancient Linksys WET54G (v3) Wireless-G Bridge that I had had buried in my junk box for years, plugged it in and it immediately found my router and connected, without me even configuring the thing. Then I took it over to the other location and it did exactly the same thing, without hesitation.  So somebody out there (a Linksys guy or whoever) please enlighten me as to just what the Devil is wrong with my new state-of-the-art bridge to cause this kind of disfunction.  I've also used and installed several Linksys / Cisco WAP610N Wireless-N access points with no problem at all; setup on these units was a snap and they connected immediately every time. I would have gotten one except (as stated above) I wanted the gigabit connection speed and the extra ports.  Any advice would be welcome, from troubleshooting to some Magic Bullet which will make the crummy thing come back to life.  If my old antique Wireless-G Bridge can connect-up immediately then what on Earth is keeping this new, high-powered one from doing so?  Thanks & standing by...

You are probably not going to like this.
The RV180W is not Dual Band meaning it doesn't have a 5Ghz radio
The WUMC710 is a 5Ghz only high performance wireless bridge.
Please remember to Kudo those that help you.

  • Question on workflow for high end inkjet prints from InDesign CS4

Photographs are imaged in Photoshop using Adobe 1998 as a profile. These files are linked in InDesign. My question is how should I output the files from InDesign. I've tried "High Quality Print" saving the files as a PDF then parsing those files with Photoshop as high res files. But the files lack the quality in the original photoshop files.
My system in completely calibrated and I'm quite used to creating output for both offset printing (generally as per vendors instructions) as well us highend digital printing.
    Thanks ahead for your comments.

You need an ICC profile that defines the destination color space. In this case the high end ink jet.
This will be an RGB profile. You can use a factory profile corresponding to the printer model and paper (this would be part of the printer software install), or you can have a custom profile generated by reading a color target printed on the device. There are online services that can actually create the profile if you send them a print out. Follow their specific instructions if you choose to do this.
Once you have the print device ICC, check the Color Settings in ID. Make sure the RGB policy is "Preserve Embedded". As long as this was the setting at document creation, the image Adobe RGB profiles were honored.
To double check, look in the Links panel. Under ICC you should see Adobe RGB, not Document RGB.
You can also right or control click on an individual image. Go to Graphics: Image Color Settings. By profile it should say Adobe RGB, not Document RGB.
In the print dialog, Color Management, select Document radio button. Color Handling, Let InDesign Handle Colors. Printer Profile, select the Printer ICC. Do a small test print, then check the result to see if it's satisfactory.

You could try disabling hardware acceleration. If you are unable to access the setting in Options > Advanced > General, you could change the setting for "layers.acceleration.disabled" to true in the prefs.js file in the profile.
