No parameter for pDestination or pCalledFrom found in scope
Hello all,
I'm frustrated now and putting this email so that someone can help me solve this issue. I'm trying to run the HR Self service page from my JDeveloper. I did all the required setups. When i try to run the HiearachyPG, it opens fine with the list of all the employees. Now when i select any employees, below is what i see
No parameter for pDestination or pCalledFrom found in scope.
No matter what i do, it doesn't work....PLEASE HELP!!!
Thanks a ton.
Kumar
Hello Kumar,
Even i tried to run the SSHR pages in my JDEV. Got Same error.
After some Research we found that its not possible.

Krishna -
I am running the page /oracle/apps/per/selfservice/hierarchy/webui/HierarchyPG from within JDeveloper on my local machine. The page runs and loads OK. On clicking the Advanced Search button, the page /oracle/apps/per/selfservice/search/webui/AdvancedSearchPG is displayed. I can successfully search for an employee here, but when I press the Action icon I receive the message "No parameter for pDestination or pCalledFrom found in scope."
I have placed the optional URL paramter &pCalledFrom=OTA_LEARNER_HOME_SS in my project runtime connection. This parameter is present in the URL when HierarchyPG loads and when AdvancedSearchPG first loads. After searching for an employee in AdvancedSearchPG this parameter is lost (&pCalledFrom=).
Does anyone know how I might get this working? I need to be able to recreate the business process using JDeveloper before I start the extending the application.Hello,
I was facing the same problem when navigating through SSHR launched from JDeveloper. In my case the error (HR_HR_MESG21_WEB which is "No parameter for pDestination or pCalledFrom found in scope.") was thrown in oracle.apps.per.selfservice.arch.webui.PerOAControllerImpl because both both parameters seem to be empty. Support note 736754.1 is mentioning this error message and it seems that the parameters are somehow related to the menu or function setup. I tried to go one step back in the navigation, meaning I am launching the oracle.apps.fnd.framework.navigate.webui.HomePG.xml and navigate to the SSHR page from there. This takes a bit longer as more page loadings are necessary but the error does not occur anymore.

Date Format on OWB 11.1.0.7 to use for input parameter for a mapping
All,
What is the Date Format on OWB 11.1.0.7 to use for passing in an input parameter for a mapping to execute?
I have tried '01-01-2010','01-JAN-2010','01.01.2010', 01/01/2010 and I get the following error:

Any information you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
ShaunHello Shaun,
The function wb_rt_conversions.from_date is (at least in OWB10.2) overloaded and can with input-types as
date, timestamp_unconstrained, timestamp_tz_unconstrained, timestamp_ltz_unconstrained or varchar2.
If it doesn't work with varchar2 I would try Date:
For example: to_date('2010-01-01','YYYY-MM-DD')
I also found this thread:

Hoping this helps...

SQL Statement as Parameter for Stored Proc
This works fine in SQL script, but doesn't work when converting the script to a sp. It doesn't like how I've defined the @PeriodEndDate parameter. How do I set the variable to the results of a SQL statement?
CREATE PROCEDURE usp_ARAging
-- Add the parameters for the stored procedure here
@FiscalYear int = 2014,
@FiscalPeriod int = 5,
@PeriodEndDate date = (SELECT MAX(JEDate) FROM ERPSQL01.EpicorNamg905.Accounting.Dim_JEDate
WHERE FiscalYear = @FiscalYear
AND FiscalMonth = @FiscalPeriod)
Kirk P.Let's start over. The default value of a procedure argument is a "suggestion" - a value to be used when it is not provided by the caller. So is your goal to allow the user to supply any date, not just the one that coincides with the
fiscal year and period values? IF not, then it should not be a parameter and the value should be determined by the code inside the stored procedure.
However, if your goal is to allow any value, then you must follow the rules for specifying an appropriate default and those rules are very restrictive. You cannot use a query nor can you refer to other parameters. The typical approach is to use
a "marker" value which the caller uses to indicate that it wants to use the true "default" value which you would then determine inside your stored procedure. Often a value of NULL is used; in your procedure the code checks this parameter
for a null value and, if found, assigns it the value you used in your query above.
And while we're at it, you should code defensively and check that the set of values supplied as parameters are consistent with each other and with the logic that depends on them. For example, presumably the period argument should be between 1 and 12
(and not null). I suggest you reconsider the use of integers since the domain of these values FAR EXCEEDS that allowed for years and months for most business purposes. -
Error in database parameter for star schema table in RSRV
Hi Experts,
In RSRV, I executed the following checks in my cube and it is showing me the following error:-
1) Check database parameter for star schema table for InfoCube ZMM_MVAL
564971 units missing from fact table /BIC/FZMM_MVAL; see details
Message no. RSRV134
Diagnosis
In the fact table /BIC/FZMM_MVAL records have been found that contain values other than zero for key figures that have units, but that have no value for the unit of the key figure. Since the value of the unit has to correspond to the value of the key figure, this inidicates an error when the data was loaded. The values of the units have not been loaded into BW correctly. Choose Details to display the incorrect records.
2) Consistency of time dimension of InfoCube ZMM_MVAL

Please advise me on this.
Thanks in Advance.
AparnaAs mentioned in the log, check the Unit KFs in your cube and make sure that unit is populated for all such values.
e.g. if Qty is 5 KG, then unit KF will have 5 and unit info object should have KF.

The Built in SharePoint 2013 Help Menu (?) on our Enterprise Farm for both the sites and Central

On Central Admin help the error comes back as: "Sorry, the page you're looking for can't be found".
The site collections Help menu gets the error :
"Unfortunately, help seems to be broken...
There aren't any help collections in the current language for the site you're using."
We have installed on all servers in the farm:

I'm interested in getting the local help to work while this is offline, I saw the following in an article, did you do this and it still does not work for you?

How set and get parameter for a session of a portlet (Java)
I would like get parameter and set parameter for a portlet in portal 9.02. This parameter must be availbale during the session of the portal.
With Java Servlet
// I retrieve my session
HttpServletRequest httpreq = (HttpServletRequest)req;
HttpServletResponse httpresp = (HttpServletResponse)resp;
HttpSession session = httpreq.getSession();
//And after i can get or set some parameter for this servlet
//Example
session.setAttribute("MyEmployeeNumber","600000");
String id = (String)session.getAttribute("MyEmployeeNumber");
// But with Portlet in portal, i can't do it.
PortletRenderRequest pr= (PortletRenderRequest)httpreq.getAttribute(HttpCommonConstants.PORTLET_RENDER_REQUEST);
String sUser=pr.getUser().getName();
ProviderSession session=pr.getSession();
// But after if i want get or set a value in this session i have a internal error 500
session.setAttribute("MyEmployeeNumber","600000");
I would like my parameter is avalaible during a session for a user in each page of the portal, because my portlet is on each page.
I have almost the same problem. I tried as you suggested, but it doesn't work yet.
provider.xml
<session>true</session>
<passAllUrlParams>true</passAllUrlParams>
My code in my jsp-portlet is
<%@page contentType="text/html; charset=windows-1252"
import="oracle.portal.provider.v2.render.PortletRenderRequest"
import="oracle.portal.provider.v2.render.PortletRendererUtil"
import="oracle.portal.provider.v2.http.HttpCommonConstants"
import="oracle.portal.provider.v2.ParameterDefinition"
import="oracle.portal.provider.v2.render.http.HttpPortletRendererUtil"
%>
<%@page session="true"%>
<%
PortletRenderRequest pReq = (PortletRenderRequest)request.getAttribute(HttpCommonConstants.PORTLET_RENDER_REQUEST);
String valueSession = (String)pReq.getAttribute("sesion");
if (valueSession != null) {
pReq.setAttribute("session", "value1");
out.println("<br>(1)valueSession != null");
out.println("<br>(1)valueSession : " + pReq.getAttribute("session"));
} else {
pReq.setAttribute("session", "value2");
out.println("<br>(2)valueSession == null");
out.println("<br>(2)valueSession : " + pReq.getAttribute("session"));
%>
And i always get as result:
(2)valueSession == null
(2)valueSession : value2
Even when i send values (post) at the same page or browsing between tabs:
I check my provider registration and it has the value "once per session"
I have portal 9.0.2.2.14
Thanks
I am trying to update ITunes from 10.4 to 10.5 I have tried from both the program, and from a download on Apple's website. Regardless, I get the following error messages: (1) Installation package for iTunes cannot be found. Try installing to find the installation package 'iTunes.msi' in a folder from which you can install iTunes. I can't find this folder. I have tried to completely unistall iTunes through the Control Panel, but it wouldn't let me: I tried going directly to the files themselves, but cannot uninstall. Any help would be greatly appreciated. System OS: Win XP SP 3.
Set the permissions for Everyone in the folder in which CCPackager created, to "Read/Write" enabled. This is strange since there is only an administrator account on the Mac (and that account already has read/write), but it seems to resolve the issue.
Parameter for Current Month and Previous Month
I'm trying to create a parameter for current month and previous month based on the ex_date, but not sure what i'm doing wrong.
where ex_date = @SelectDate
I created a second dataset below for the values in the parameters.
SELECT Month(CURRENT_TIMESTAMP) AS 'Month', 'Current Month' as 'Current Month'
union all
SELECT Month(CURRENT_TIMESTAMP)-1 AS Month, 'Previous Month' as 'Previous Month'
Results
Month Current Month
3 Current Month
2 Previous Month
Once I preview it I get "Conversion failed when converting date and/ or time from character string" I changed the data type to "date/Time" but that did not make a difference. The date is convert (varchar(10), ex_date, 101) so looks like
11/12/2014.
I've also tried expressions like =month(now()) to pull current month with same error so i'm not sure what i'm doing wrong. Any ideas?
i tired this real simple report
in the first dataset - my main report query - select name from sysdatabases where month(crdate())=@month
in the second dataset - select month(getdate()) as Month1
in the parameters - choose int data type and available values - select the second data set
in the first data set- add this parameter..( i am assumming you know this, since you have done)
in the preview you should get the drop down with current month number - 3
and if you run the report, it will display the database names that were created in march. remember we are no checking year, so will get all that were created in march across the years.
Hope it Helps!!
I'm looking to have the dropdown say "Previous Month" and "Current Month" as a option. I know how to get the information in SQL, but not sure how this translates or put into a parameter.
Current Month
list_date BETWEEN
DATEADD(MONTH, DATEDIFF(MONTH, 0, GETDATE()), 0)
AND
DATEADD(MONTH, DATEDIFF(MONTH, 0, GETDATE()) + 1, 0)
Previous Month
list_date between
CONVERT(varchar,dateadd(d,-(day(dateadd(m,-1,getdate()-2))),dateadd(m,-1,getdate()-1)),106) /* Last Month */
and
CONVERT(varchar,dateadd(d,-(day(getdate())),getdate()),106)
One parameter for multiple Crystal reports in Publication
Does anyone know if it is possible to enter one identical parameter for multiple Crystal reports in publication when scheduling? BOE 3.1 SP3 Windows, Java.
To elaborate I am creating publication with multiple reports, each report has one parameter and this parameter is identical in every report in publication. So instead of entering this parameter many times I would like to enter once.
If yes point me in the right direction to get the how to or post the steps.
Daniel,
Thank you so much for your answer. It was very helpful. In the end, it didn't work but it helped me figure out what was happening. I use a different form for the reports and I had it coded in the form which report to use. I created a second form for the second crystal and then I used an if statement to choose the form and it worked like a charm.
Thanks so much again!
How to make a common parameter for two subreports in the main report.
Hi,
I have a crystal report which has 2 subreports in it. Both the subreports have the same code and I need to create a parameter for Project Cost in both the subreports for filtering the data.
When i create the same parameter in both the subreports, i see two parameters with same name on my prompt page while refreshing the report. however I just want 1 parameter on my prompt page and data should get filtered in both the reports.
Can anyone please suggest something, How can I do that? is there a way for sharing same parameter between two subreports?
Thanks!
Neha.
hi Neha,
here's how to do this:
1) create a new parameter with the same name on the main report
2) right click on your first subreport and choose Change Subreport Links
3) in the Field to Link To list drag over your new main report parameter
4) open the Subreport Parameter Field to Use select menu and choose your subreport parameter
5) repeat steps for the 2nd subreport
now you'll only get prompted once.
cheers,
jamie
The volume for "*.jpg" cannot be found. External harddrive.
I have recently purchased a MacBook Air and have moved my iPhoto library to an external harddrive. Recently, my all of my older photos and videos when clicked on come with the error "The volume for "*.jpg" cannot be found." However, my new imported photos do not have this problem. When I click "Find Photo" and select that photo on my harddrive, it still gives me the same error.
I have many photo albums and would rather not import them all again just to re-organize them. Do I have any other alternatives?
Are you running a Managed or a Referenced Library?
A +Managed library+, is the default setting, and iPhoto copies files into the iPhoto Library when Importing
A +Referenced Library+ is when iPhoto is NOT copying the files into the iPhoto Library when importing because you made a change at iPhoto -> Preferences -> Advanced. In this scenario you are responsible for the File Management.

The volume for "network" cannot be found
Hey guys,
I have a small probelm.
I have a g5 quadcore, with 2 network ports.
On ethernet port 2 i usea connection to a switch for my internet, which i share with others.
On port 1 i just installed a newtork hard drive, to use with time machine when i go to leopard.
Now, when the hd is connected, and i try to browse my network, by going to finder, and then the network icon, i get an error saying "the volume for "network" cannot be found"
Eventhough I have this error, Everything works fine.
So my internet from port 2 works fine, and my maxtor utility for the external network drive can find the hd, indicating that the external hd also works fine, on port 1.
So, my question is, how do i get rid of the error massage, in order to be able to browse my networks again, and also to find me new external hd, using the finder.
I hope someone can help out.
thanks for any help in advance.
cheers,
pm
Ill try that
Is this save to do though?
It wont mess up any of my progs or whatever? Im dependant on this mac for my work, since it runs in a studio with protools and logic etc...
so i just want to be sure b4 i do this, that it wont mess with anything....
And actually, for some more info, somewhere in the beginning of the threat, you said i should rearrange my network ports, with in my case, connection 2 on top. (since it has the internet)
I tried doing this, but when i do this, connection 1 becomes inactive or something, at least i cannot find my hard disk anymore, which is connected to ethernet port 1.
I guess im thinking that it wont auto mount, because it doesnt run from the same ethernet connector as my internet etc. could that have something to do with it?
anyways, i will try what u said!
thanks for your help so far!
