No POST, 3 Identical Config machines

I currently have three 651M-L based board's with the following configuration:
AOpen A340 Case w/ 250w PSU
Celeron 2.4Ghz 478
DirectPC DDR333 RAM
Western Digital 80GB HDD
None of these machines are able to reach a POST screen, and sit on a black screen upon bootup. I have tested two additional CPU's, swapped ram between the machines and a third machine (.: ram + cpu's work). As all-in-one board's I would expect there would be very few compatibility issues when only loaded with minimal part's. Is there any known problem's with these boards with any of the above part's? (note, as I said, there are three board's - it's possible - but v. unlikely that 3 boards were DOA.)

Does the system fails to post after you've change the DRAM settings to 266MHz or even before the changes...?
If I cannot post, then I cannot get to the BIOS, is there another method of changing frequency? (No jumpers)
I'm going to see if I can get these returned (outside of D.O.A period from my supplier, and the customer concerned is getting agitated - with good reason), as I have now tested with every other piece of external equipment I can get my hands on (gfx, ram, processor, power supply). Do MSI representitives browse these forums?

Yes, you won't see any hits on ACS for PEAP authentication failure. Also, you should have a valid contract with Cisco before you download the latest images.

OSX treats the reformatted drive as a different one; it's the same as replacing it, and the old one is no longer connected.
See #E3 in Time Machine - Troubleshooting to see and restore from the "old" drive.
And, you may not want to restore via the Finder; see the blue box in #15 of Time Machine - Frequently Asked Questions.

Issue with reinstallation of WSUS, Post install config fails

Hi
I am trying to reinstall WSUS role. Steps followed
1. Uninstallation of WSUS role and windows internal database, restarted the machine
2. Delete the Data file from Windows\WID folder
3. Deleted the update service registry form registries
4. Deleted WSUS administration site for IIS.
5. Deleted the files from Program files\update services.( Retained WSUSutil in sub folder tools as this was not coming up with installation).
6. Restarted the machine.
7. Installed WSUS - Successful.
8. Tried to run the post install configuration from console.. It errored out.
9. Executed the command "wsusutil postinstall CONTENT_DIR=<<Folder path on WSUS server>>
10. It erred out and the content of the error log is as below.

Refer to below steps for clean uninstallation of WSUS.
Workaround 1: To uninstall WSUS roles and features using Windows PowerShell
In PowerShell, review features installed by calling: Get-WindowsFeature UpdateServices*
To remove features, call: Uninstall-WindowsFeature <featureName>
Workaround 2: To uninstall WSUS roles and features using the Server Manager Console
In Server Manager, launch Remove Roles and Features Wizard (RRW), unselect items to be uninstalled, and complete the Wizard:
In Server Roles tab unselect ‘Windows Server Update Services’ option
In Features tab unselect ‘Remote Server Administration Tools -> Role Administration Tools -> Windows Server Update Services Tools’ option
We recommend restarting the server to ensure that all WSUS components are removed. After uninstalling WSUS roles and features, you may reinstall the WSUS roles and features
And try to reinstall. It worked for me.

I have problem with the FF_5. When we are proccessing .txt file with same paid amounts to our clients, then all of them are not writed cause the identical amount when I check in FEBABS.

What is FEBABS?
What do you mean with identical amounts? Are you talking about customer clearing and same documents numbers already cleared?
With a bit more information and a clear example someone might be able to help you further.

HTTP Multi-Form Post - And Config?

Hey Everyone,
I'm stuck on a situation where my code in PRD does not behave like my code in DEV and QAS. This code is a simple multi-part HTTP post to an external system. Nothing special. There are two variables in my equation:
1. DEV and QAS are on a higher kernel level than PRD. The kernel has not migrated that far yet.
2. I have the cryptographic library active on DEV and QAS, but not on PRD. Like the kernel, it has not migrated there yet.
Mind you, I've double checked the SICF and SMICM settings to guarantee they are identical in all systems. Is there something else that I have missed?
I have seen situations before where kernel applications have "tightened the bolts" on weak code, so I thought perhaps my code was "weak." Would someone mind giving a glance over to see if something is missing? Note that it works great in PRD, but not in QAS and DEV. It could be just sloppy code that crumbled under the stringent eye of a new kernel.

Update: I've reviewed the system profile, the ICF, the Crypto Library, the RFC, the ICM, rewritten my code in numerous ways, reverted the kernel back to its original level...all to no avail. What did come of it is this...and a lesson I've learned many times and should have been more astute and critical from the start. When the downstream system you are communicating with tells you they have not made a change and it must be SAP...well, make sure they are not lying. "Well, the change we made wouldn't affect that." Oh...really.

Two identical fax machines in one location

I have two identical Officejet Pro 8620 printers, on a Wireless network, in the same office location. Is there a problem if they both show up under Devices and Printers with Identical names?
If so, I do I fix this?

We have just started with portal installation in one our client's place. I wud like to know wat would be the next step after installation. what kind of configuration will be needed for any company in general. The requirements for the portal project in that company has not been mentioned as yet.

DCNM Post-installation config: SSL set-up


I am a novice at this software. I have two servers on different networks. The software is installed and is answering its URL from the network but recently, I was required to change the hostnames and obtain new SSL certs. The DCNM software is holding onto the older certs even though the new ones are installed to IIS. I am looking for a solution to reconfiguring the SSL to use the new certs for HTTPS. I got into the the Java Keytool thing and got REALLY turned around. DCNM uses Tomcat or IIS? Anyway, the old certs are still being used by the software. That has to change.

First, why cannot retrieve database racdb ?
Second, sqlplus is poped up. Why users SYS, SYSTEM, SYSMAN cannot log in ?

Post-restore Time Machine/bundle backup problem

Earlier this week the HD in my iMac died. I had the drive replaced and performed a full restore from my Time Machine backup. The four hour restore went fine.
The next day I turned Time Machine back on. I expected it would want to perform a complete backup of the restored machine. It appeared to start okay, calculating changes and deleting old backups. But then it started doing that in a loop: checking changes, deleting backups, cleaning up, checking changes, deleting backups, etc. After about five cycles I just left work and let it do its thing. Twelve hours later when I got home it still hadn't done a backup, and appeared to be stuck in 'deleting old backups.' So I went ahead and stopped Time Machine.
Now, if I turn TM on or initiate a manual backup, it checks for changes, spends a long time at 99% during that process, then eventually unmounts the bundle, goes to cleaning up, and then hangs there until I manually stop it.
I've tried disk utility, but anytime the backup bundle is mounted, Disk Utility locks up with the spinning beach ball before I ever get to drag the bundle into the window and try to verify/repair.
Any suggestions? At this point I'd be fine erasing the entire bundle and starting new backups from scratch, but I'm not sure how to properly "reset" Time Machine, and of course I can't the bundle to appear in Disk Utility.

First, of course, turn TM "off" via TM Preferences.
If there's nothing else on the TC's disk, erase it. Use the +*Airport Utility+* app, in your Applications/Utilities folder. Select +*Base Station > Manual Set-Up+* from the Menubar, then Disks in the tool Bar, then Erase.
If there's other stuff there that you want to keep, and can't copy elsewhere temporarily, just delete the sparse bundle via the Finder.
Then you should be able to turn TM back on and have it start fresh (I'd strongly recommend connecting your Mac to the TC via an Ethernet cable to speed up the initial backup, if at all possible). If there's a problem, you can try the "reset" procedure in #A4 in the Time Machine - Troubleshooting *User Tip,* also at the top of the +Time Machine+ forum.

The backup of OS only needs to be done for the db nodes. You can ask a backup admin (hope you have one) to implement a backup similar as other linux OS backups.

The .NET Framework 3.5 can fail to install on a system where MSXML is not properly registered. There is a custom action that runs during .NET Framework 3.5 setup that tries to use some APIs in MSXML to modify some information in the web_mediumtrust.config
file that is a part of the .NET Framework 2.0. In the cases that we've seen of this issue so far, one of the MSXML CLSID values was somehow unregistered on the system, and that causes this custom action to fail.
You can use one of the following options to work around this issue if you encounter it during .NET Framework 3.5 setup. Note that these workarounds are only useful for this exact error and HRESULT value. They will not help fix all possible .NET
Framework 3.5 setup failures.
Re-register msxml3.dll by running regsvr32 msxml3.dll
Re-install MSXML3 by downloading and installing the package from

MDM 5.5 SP6 install and post-install config - SLDREG related question

I've just installed MDM 5.5 SP6 on Oracle/Solaris and have the server running with no problems, repositories loaded, etc. I do receive the following error in the MDM Console which I understand to mean the sldreg utitlity cannot be found.
Error: Unable to register server in System Landscape Directory: Call to SLDREG Utility in /usr/sap/sldreg failed, Error = 0x100.
Set proper value for parameter 'SLDReg Utility Path' in server configuration file.
If you are not using SLD, set parameter 'SLD Registration' to false in server configuration file so that the server does not try to register with SLD. This will avoid this error in the future.
My questions are:
1. should there be an ABAP install on the same box which would create the file structure referenced above?
2. or can this parameter be set to look at a different /usr/sap directory?
3. Or can I just drop that utility in that directory ?
In other words, is there a recommendation to install an ABAP instance, thereby creating the referenced file structure on the same server as the MDM/Oracle instance? Or is there a workaround approach for this error.

I recieved my 20" iMac today and am having the same issue.
Specs:
As stock except with 256MB VRAM and 1GB RAM (factory installed).
Ordered 25th Jan.
Recieved 3rd Feb.
Problem appears with Front Row, Real Player, iCal and possibly others I haven't tried. I'm reluctant to install software and migrate data from my Mac mini because of this issue.
I've run the hardware test. Passed.
I've left the iMac unplugged for 30min.
I've reset the PRAM by unplugging the iMac, waiting 1min, then plugging it back in while holding the power button.
Nothing has worked. I haven't called Apple yet but I plan to.
