No progress shown sometimes when using DownloadService

I haven't nailed down the exact situation yet, but sometimes when pulling down jars using the DownloadService the "default progress dialog" shows no progress even though the jars are being downloaded correctly from the web server. Is anyone seeing this problem as well or have any answers?

Also you can try the following solution.
1. Import the universe.
2. Go to manage access restrictions
3. Remove the restriction .
4. Again create the rescrition and unchecked the " limit size of result set to"
5. Now assign it to the unlimited results group ( this is the name of
the group we have given to those users who should be able to retrieve
more than X rows)
6. Now we save the universe. (Dont export the universe).

Error received (sometimes) when using cfxml tag

I have a problem when using the <cfxml> tag, its seems to error when I try and display xml code over a certain length, as it works for some of my records and not others. Is there a known sizing limit when displaying stuff within the cfxml tag ?
Here is my code, I am un-sure as to how to progress with this issue. Any help would be much apprciated.

I am getting the XML from a field in the database which is of field type CLOB, I have tracked the error down to coldfusion cutting the end part of the string which is causing the error. I am trying to display a big bit of xml... around about 65k words + .... I have a feeling that coldfusion is chopping of the end part of my string variable which makes it syntactially incorrect which is causing the error.
Now I am sure my code works because it works with smaller field lengths in the database....

HttpClient progress not reported when using HttpBufferContent

I'm using Windows.Web.Http.HttpClient to upload files to a range of services. It was working fine while using HttpStreamContent, but I had to change it to use HttpBufferContent to allow re-sending the request if the service failed(Resending a request using
HttpStreamContent throws a cryptic exception). Well the change worked, but the progress is broken now. When using HttpBufferContent it report to have sent the 100% of the bytes instantly which is a clear bug.
I hope you can improve these components, the api is very good, but the implementation is pathetic.

HttpBufferContent moves all the data to lower networking APIs all at once. That is why progress jumps from 0% to 100%.
As you described, HttpStreamContent fails when the request needs to be sent twice (e.g., server requires credentials) and the given stream only implements
IInputStream. To allow the stream to be sent multiple times and show a more detailed progress, make sure to provide a stream that implements
IRandomAccessStream.
Using HttpStreamContent will show progress in multiples of 65536 bytes, since the stream is consumed in 65536 bytes long buffers.

Sometimes when using the trackpad, 3 finger swiping left/right resets my mac and i get a white screen with an error message, anybody know why this is?

Been happening for a while now and I've no idea how to fix this, sometimes I can go days/weeks without it being a problem but at times one swipe using 3 fingers resets the mac with the error message coming up.... very annoying

IPad mini locks up sometimes when using Logitech ultra slim keyboard.

I bought a 32 gb mini iPad confiured for a Verizon data plan. I also purchased a Logitech Unltraslim keyboard/cover to use with it via bluetooth. However, sometimes the mini iPad screen locks up and I cannot remove the on-screen keyboard nor can I get the Logitech bluetooth keyboard to respond. In order to "unlock" the jam, I have to do a reboot of the system.
Any suggestions on a remedy to keep the mini iPad from locking up?

Let's examine the facts:
-Another wireless keyboard has worked fine with your iPad
-You have exchanged it for another keyboard with the same results
-You have reset your iPad (though I am unsure whether you have done a hard or soft reset).
When I see these facts, my first thought is that it could be a problem with the design of that certain keyboard. If you wanted to go through the trouble of fully resetting your iPad (Settings>General>Reset> Reset all Content & Settings), that's up to you.

Docs&settings only shows bookmarks from Int Explorer used previously, not Moxilla. How can I save the bookmarks which are shown correctly when using MF?

I want to save my bookmarks as I have done periodically since 2000 using Xp.
For copying to F drive or USB, procedure is open C drive, Documents and settings, my name, Favorites
I have hundreds of sorted bookmarks which I update fairly often.
Changed to MF about five years ago.
It looks like nothing has been added to the Favorites within Documents and Settings since then - all have the blue Int. Explorer logo, none in Moxilla colours.
I was unaware of this as all bookmarks are shown correctly to left of desktop.

There are three basic options
#You can backup the bookmarks in a form that Firefox can use. And these include any tags with them. See [[Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer]]
#Firefox stores History in the same database: '''places.sqlite'' the whole of that or even the whole of the profile may be backed up if necessary. See [[Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles]]

CARE if you restore bookmarks from a backup it overwrites your existing bookmarks so always back them up manually before doing any restore.
Firefox creates its own library of bookmarks. It is possible to add HTML files from IE to these. You will not be able to make sense of Firefox's .json or .sqlite files other than by allowing them to be used within Firefox. The HTML files may probably be opened directly by Firefox or some other programs such as Word Processors.

App locks sometimes when using System Exe.vi to call QA NWA run files

Using Labview 6.1, system exec.vi to execute "run files" for Northwest Analytical software's Quality Analyst 5.1. The labview application intermittantly locks up without any error messages displayed. Does anyone have any idea of what is going on and how to fix it?

Hello,
Try changing the "Wait Until Completion" terminal of the System Exec .vi to false. The default is true. This solves several known issues with the System Exec VI, including intermittent hanging when accessing batch files and incorrect timing out.

Why does Apple TV says it is not authorized to play content sometimes when I use the iPad Remote?

Sometimes when using my Apple TV device with my TV off and trying to play music using the iPad Remote app, the app hangs and no music plays. When I turn on my TV to see what's going on there is a message suggesting the Apple TV is not authorized to play this content. Clearly, that is not the case and when I use the normal Apple TV remote to select the music, it plays fine. I use iTunes Match and generally stream my music from there on the Apple TV. I have both HDMI and optical connections to my receiver. Any idea why this could be happening? I would say it happens several times a week.

Try locating a free TV Show episode in iTunes then 'buy' it on AppleTV 1.
We should not have to do this though.

Screen Scrambles when using iDVD

Sometimes when using iDVD 08 the screen scrambles while I'm putting the DVD menus and such together. It doesn't crash per se, I can still run it, but I can't tell where anything is because the video is scrambled. Restarting my 20" aluminum iMac is the only thing that fixes this problem. It's like living in Windows all over again! Anyone else have this problem? Anyone know of a solution?

I'm not sure what software you're using, but I cannot think of a single piece of software I've ever used on my Mac that has required me to restart because it routinely messes up the graphics or the computer in any other way. That doesn't happen even in Windows with any single app (although it randomly seems to occur in any app at various times). Maybe you could clarify what you mean about often having to restart when using most software, because that has never been my experience.
I have not burned DVDs or disc images when that has occurred, mainly because I wasn't done editing and could no longer see what was going on well enough to finish the editing process. I have restarted my Mac and then finished the editing process, then burned. All my finished discs have looked like I have expected them to look.

LabView 6.1 crashes now and then when I try to get rid of an accidential starting connection when using the wiring tool.

Sometimes when using my labtop it happens that I get unwanted connections when using the wiring tool because my labtop notices mouse clicks that never happend. Usually you can get rid of those connections by pressing ESC. But unfortunately now and than LabView crashes completely when pressing ESC to get rid of the connection.
How can I stop LabView from crashing in that case?

Yes, I see this problem on both my LabView-Computers but more often on the labtop because of the strange integrated mouse.
Yes, I get an error message but I can't really translate it in english. It says something about memory access to a special address.
I might try reinstalling LabView one day if I have the time. I don't want to try LabView 7.0. I'm afraid it would be great. Unfortunately my boss alreday told me, we don't have money for the new version.

Windows disappear when using spaces

Something very peculiar has begun happening today and I will describe its features below:
1) When switching from one space to another, all the windows in one space would completely disappear. They were not hidden, but the windows disappeared. The menu for the program was visible and items from the menus could be selected, but the menus were not visible
2) Sometimes all the windows entirely in all spaces would disappear.
3) When I turned spaces off and on again the would usually reappear.
4) Sometimes when using the keyboard command to switch spaces the desktop background would change
5) When pressing Apple-Tab to switch applications, at first certain programs would not show their icon, but simply a white square, and then the bar of applications would not be visible at all. It was still possible to change between programs, but the icons were not at all visible.
6) I later found out that the problems were minimized if I reduce the number of open applications. The problems occurred when I had about 20 applications open simultaneously. I still had over 700 MB of free RAM, so that was not the problem. When I quit about half of the applications, all the goofy-ness with Spaces stopped.
Is this a bug or is there a reason why I should only be able to have 8 programs open simultaneously? How can I fix this so I can have more programs open?

I have a similar issue with Spaces. Windows just seem to disappear. The menus are available if I click on them in the dash, however the windows are still missing. Sometimes manually assigning them in Spaces will bring them back, but then they just disappear again.
I've seen tons of issues like this with no response or fix.
