Hola. Si el iPhone estaba bloqueado para usarse solamente con un operador telefónico australiano, solamente ese operador puede desbloquear su iPhone. Apple no puede desbloquearlo. Tiene que ser el operador australiano. Póngase en contacto con dicho operador.

The iPads here take a sim card. We were advised by an Apple Store Employee at home that this model would work in Europe and that we could buy our service here. That does not seem to be the case. We have been told that we must invest in a modem at 200.00€ and then purchase a separate service plan for each country. We can use the free wifi wherever it is available but we cannot connect to the outside world when out of range. Is there anything else we can do?

U2 IC Chip Problem

I've read something about the using third-party chargers causing the U2 IC chip to stop working. I've used a ratio shack charger and ever since I got it my iPhone battery stopped working. I was wondering if you need to replace the iPhone to get it fixed or just replace the U2 IC chip to fix it?

I've never heard of third party chargers (actually adapters) causing a problem. The charger is in the phone, not the "thing" that plugs into the wall. Any high quality USB power source should be fine for an iPhone. There are no user serviceable parts inside an iPhone, and if you try to replace a chip it is guaranteed not to be an Apple-certified chip, as Apple does not sell spare parts. Unless you are a highly skilled technician you will probably ruin the phone trying to repair it yourself, and even some highly skilled technicians can screw it up.

I have ordered RAM chips for my Imac 21.5-inch, Mid 2011 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5 (2x 4GB) from Other World Computing and they don't work.

I have tried to install on two separate chip orders. One was the initial order and the other set was the replacement chips. I followed all the installation instructions Apple has on their site. I have even watched a few videos to make sure. I have bought RAM chips before for my Macbook Pro and they work fine. Am I purchasing the wrong RAM chips? Here is the type of RAM chips I ordered... 8.0GB (2x4.0GB Kit) PC3-10600 DDR3 1333MHz SO-DIMM 204 Pin CL9 SO-DIMM.

That appears to be the correct dimms:
204-pin PC3-10600 (1333 MHz) DDR3 SO-DIMM
Whether yours follow any additional apple requirments is another question. Was there any mention about apple compatibility from the place you bought them?
If they aren't working they are probably bad or missing some additional apple requirement. But try reversing them first or using one at a time.
FYI, OWC sells that stuff too (definitely apple compatible). And if you follow that link you will again see you have the correct specs.

Estaba actualizando mi iPhone y se fue la luz

estaba actualizando la versión de iOS de mi iPhone con una red wifi, mientras se instalaba (cuando aparece la manzana y la pantalla en negro ) se fue la luz por lo tanto se fue la red wifi , ahora mi iPhone no responde, solo aparece el logo de Apple y la barra de progreso (que no avanza nada )

First, I'd like you to turn MobileMe off and then turn it on again! To do so, follow this instructions:
1) Tap Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Account. Turn off al of them!
2) Then turn all of them on again.
If this doesn't work, then I'd recommend you to use the [MobileMe Mail Dedicated Chat Support|http://www.apple.com/support/mobileme/mailchat> to get help regarding this issue.

Chip in iMac screen

Hi i bought a base model iMac last Sunday from a apple store and since ive had it there has ben a small mark on the screen just below the iSight camera, at first i thought it was a dead pixel but on closer inspection it seemed to be on the actual glass itself. I thought it was just a speck of dirt so i bought some muc-off screen cleaner however after using it, it hasent come off and how i feel it may be a actual chip in the screen. However the actual apple store is over an hour away should i call apple or could i take it to a apple reseller nearby.

Call Apple Support and have them make the arrangements, that way a replacement panel will be on hand before you lug the iMac in.

Updgrade to the new Intel chip

I ordered my IMac G5 on November 30th. and received it on December 7th.
When less than a month later I saw the new intel chip and ILife version I got angry to Apple customer service for not telling me about this change.
Is there anything I can do to upgrade my Mac?

When you ordered the iMac G5 you had certain plans for it. With the announcement of the Intel iMac, what is your iMac G5 not doing for you now?
Or is this more a matter of envy, you iMac G5 is no longer the newest thing?
If you most have the latest and greatest, you can always sell it on eBay and order the new Intel iMac.
It is your call but if it is doing what you bought it to do, I personally would ignore the fact that is the latest and greatest and just use it.

Benefits of faster 1gb chip?

Just a question on 1gb memory chips for the 20" imac 2.1GHz
On apples site they only sell the PC2-4200 as a upgrade. On crucial.com they also have in addition to the PC2-4200 (DDR2-533) a PC2-5300 (DDR2-667), both are listed as chips for this computer.
I run a few memory hungry programs and just need the fastest that I can get. Is there any difference between these two chips that the imac will notice or is the difference in price better spent elsewhere?
Also, any speculation on when the price of the 2gb chips will come down?
And why did apple decide to only provide one slot to upgrade. It sounds pretty cheap to me and it really made me consider cancelling my order when I found out (due to the cost of a 2gb chip), as this computer is only to do bits of work at home while I'll away from the studio. While I'l thinking it also doesn't seem any faster then my wifes emac 1.25GHz with 756mg RAM. I would have thought that the 2.1 GHz would have blown it away. Haven't noticed a difference as of yet.

Robert, first of all welcome to the discussions!
I went from the same model eMac to my first gen iMac and at first I was not overly impressed with the speed difference as there seemed to be little difference at all. The iMac shines when you start to do more processor intensive tasks like video and such. I am blown away by how well it performs then.
For comparison, I have a home-built Athlon XP 3000+ machine that I use mostly for gaming, but tried a video project on that before moving to the iMac and there was a huge leap forward in speed, stability, and overall quality of the conversion.
PS - myhighway, I feel like I am chasing you around today - LOL!

NVIDIA chip class action lawsuit

Today I received an e-mail from NIVIDA saying that my macbook pro may be one of the various macbook pros that has a faulty NIVIDA chip. It claims that various NIVIDA chips have already failed and blah blah blah. you can read more about it if you don't know what I'm talking about.

My question is: my chip already failed & I took it to the apple store to get it replaced like 2 or 3 months ago. So, do I still need a replacement chip or not?

Probably only if Apple refuses to replace the board the second time. Although rare, there are a few reports of people having the replacement fail, but have usually been able to get another repair.
I've read over the settlement and basically I don't see much applicability to most Apple owners. Apple has a program in place that both addresses needed repairs and will reimburse someone who had a LB replaced before the Repair Extension Program was issued.
I say work with Apple as long as you can. The only people who come out ahead in a CA lawsuit are the lawyers.
