No response to fn+return

I can't seem to use fn+return for the equivalent of the numkey "enter." Checking with the Keyboard Viewer seems to indicate that they're not being registered at all (same with fn+delete and fn-arrow up/down/left/right). Are they disabled for some reason? I need these combos in Finale...

  • Web service error in response "Element '{ namespace }return' missing"

    Hi all,
    I'm quite new to ABAP development on Web services, and I encountered a problem after calling a web service method.
    I created a Service Consumer proxy from an external WSDL, then created its port in SOAMANAGER.
    Now, when I call one of its methods, an exception occurs. But I was able to debug that there is a response being sent by the web service. However, during the CALL TRANSFORMATION (found in class CL_SXMLP_DATA_ST method IF_SXML_SERIALIZABLE~DESERIALIZE) it raises the error:
    Element '{<namespace>}return' missing
    (I can't show the namespace but it's like "https://xxx.xxxxxxxxxxxxx.com/xxxxxxxx")
    I tried to search the forums about this, but haven't found any yet that could help me. I can't also modify the code since this is already SAP standard.
    Thanks in advance!

    Problem solved..

  • TestStand response to DLL Return Value

    I've inherited a TestStand sequence that calls a DLL in several of the steps. The DLL's 'Return Value' is set as follows: 'Type' = U8. 'Result Action' = No Action, and the 'Set Error.Code' box is checked. I want to know what these settings do, what triggers a Step Failure, and what triggers a Step Error.

    I am not aware of a specific document that describes the order of operations, but it should be nearly identical to C syntax.
    The basics of that expression are as follows:
    If the data source is not Step.Result.PassFail (not the default case), Evaluate the Step.DataSource property and store the result in Step.Result.PassFail.  Otherwise do nothing.  The comma means there is new statement, and the last statement is what assigns the result status to the step (this must be a string).   It the PassFail variable is true, it sets the step to "Passed", otherwise it sets it to "Failed".

  • Https in  Httpservice doesn't return response to the caller.

    Hi,
          I am accessing my aplication through  https and i am using http service  to get the data from my application server.
    Actually the httpservice request is going to the server and repsonse is writen to the caller. But the response is not returning to the flex end..
    I have added the below line in my client end.
    response.setHeader("Cache-Control","no-cache"); //HTTP 1.1
    response.setHeader("Pragma","no-cache"); //HTTP 1.0
    response.setDateHeader("Expires", 0); //prevents caching at the proxy server
    and i am accessing the  server from the same domain , so i don't need to load  security policy file also.
    But my flex end  is not getting reponse from the Application server .But the same thing is working  while accessing from HTTP
    Regards,
    Thiru

    Are you getting an error?  Have you added a listener for the error event of the httpservice call?  If the reply is sent out of the server, it should get back to flex so either a result or an error should be available.
    I use https for all my httpservice calls, so there is nothing 'wrong' with the httpservice using https.  All the problems I have had with https have been getting the call to go to the server (didn't like the certificate, wrong domain, etc).
    One of the great debugging tools for any httpservice call is to just enter the call url (and any name/value pairs) into the browser address bar, and see if it works there.  If it doesn't work in the browser, it won't work in flex, since flex/flash depends on the underlying browser to make/handle the http/https calls to the server.

  • Soap response returns gzipped stream

    I am accessing a webservice. The webservice returns a gzipped file stream. I am able to succesfully call the webservice and get the expected results, but I am having trouble unzipping and reading the file stream. • How can I know whether the Servlet is sending a response!!!

    Hello,
    My question is this :
    How do I know whether that server outputstream is sending me a response or not?
    I have opened the Client InputStream to recieve a response from a servlet,but how
    can i be sure that i will receive a response from the servlet?
    I cud be waiting for an 15 expecting a response but havent received one..
    Is there any way to check whether the servlet is sending me a response?
    The reason I am asking is this.
    I have written a Java Client that connects to a servlet.It has to wait for a
    response from the servlet.It will wait for 5 seconds and if this doesnt recieve
    a response,it will return back else it will display the response.
    I have set a timer on my client for 5 seconds and a timer on the servlet for 15 seconds.
    Essentially,when the client connects,the servlet response is held for 15 seconds
    and the client tries for 5 seconds.
    But the client is unable to exit without a response.The response comes back in 15 seconds.
    The client shud have the message 'Connection Timed Out' after 5 seconds.
    This means there is an error somewhere.
    As the response takes 15 seconds,the client shudnt recieve one.
    So,is there a way I can block the servlet response?
    I am using threads and Inner classes for the timer purposes..
    Please can any one help me?

    I don't know whether you solve your problem or not! Anyway, I have the same problem. The program hangs when getInputStream is called.
    DataInputStream dis = new DataInputStream(request.getInputStream());
    If you have the answer, please let me know. Thanks!!

  • Missing response payload in IE

    Hi,
    System:
    PI 2004s SP 23
    Problem:
    Integration engine does not receive payload from adapter engine.
    Scenario:
    Synchronous scenario
    proxy -> xi -> soap
    Description:
    This is an old scenario that have been working fine for years but after upgrade from SP 14 to SP 23 it no longer works.
    The service is still being called fine. In the AE i can see the response payload being returned to PI.
    When i look in IE however i can no longer see the response payload, only the manifest. Further response processing thus causes an error due to the missing payload.
    For the record it should be stated that im using 'nosoap' in the receiver SOAP adapter.
    This is not an issue related to logging. Logging is fine, but the response payload really is non-existent when entering the IE.
    Apart from this there is no special configuration involved.
    Thanks in advance,
    Daniel

    Hi Daniel,
    Thanks for your response.
    We are 711 SP 6 both on ABAP and Java stacks. This SAP Note# 1522630 alone resolved the problem for you ? What was the parsing issue about ? The only issue I have currently is I could not see the response payload from Receiver SOAP adapter in IE which is causing mapping issues since payload is missing.
    Please let me know.

  • How to see http response from an axis web service call (Eclipse)

    Hello,
    I would like to see the raw http response which is returned from web service calls. I have a dynamic web project in Eclipse which uses a local instance of Tomcat 6. I'm using all of the default setting for a top-down web service generated from a WSDL file. I've generated the client using the built-in "generate client" using default settings.
    I've tried using the Eclipse plugin TCP/IP monitor and apache's TCPMON, but I am only able to see the http request, not the http response returned from the web server I am querying.
    I've seen some sparse documentation outlining how to use logging handlers and a client-config.wsdd file, but I haven't been able to get that working.
    So to recap, I'm looking for a way to view raw http responses using a web service client and server generated from a WSDL file in eclipse. I don't mind creating a new project using different code-generating libraries if someone has an easy way to do this using a different configuration.
    Thanks very much,
    Craig

    A simple google query for "apache axis2 http response" also return this article:
    http://blogs.cocoondev.org/dims/archives/004668.html
    And finally, you did go through the Axis2 website right? It has a wiki with a rather staggering amount of articles in there.

  • Bug setting Content-Disposition of response with the July 20th build of Weblogic 6.1

              I am using the July 20th Beta build, weblogic610_bld_127633_sol.bin, running under
              Solaris OS 2.6.
              I have two basic questions:
              1. Why am I seeing the error I describe below.
              2. Will this problem be fixed either by:
              A. A new release of the iisproxy.dll accompanying Weblogic 6.1 GA release on July
              30th (I currently use the iisproxy.dll which accompanied Weblogic 6.0 sp 1).
              B. A fix in the jsp response handling of the application server in the GA release.
              When used with the iisproxy.dll, in Weblogic 6.1 a jsp can not contain code to
              alter the filename in the response it is returning based on a request. This functionality
              worked in both Weblogic 4.5 and Weblogic 6.0 sp2.
              I use the following code to send back a tab seperated value file with a variable
              filename from a jsp page.
              response.setHeader("Content-Disposition", "filename=" + strFileName ".tsv");
              response.setContentType("text/tab-separated-values");
              When hitting Weblogic Server directly, this code works fine in Weblogic 6.1.
              My browser presents me with a download prompt, with a default filename equal to
              the variable filename I am setting in the jsp page.
              When hitting Weblogic Server through iisproxy.dll, iisproxy.dll gets the response
              from the application server, ignores it, then repeatedly resends the request to
              the application server. It gives up after 6 "bad" responses, and returns
              "No backend server available for connection: timed out after 20 seconds.".
              The functionality was perfect with the identical iisproxy.dll used with either
              Weblogic 4.5 or Weblogic 6.0 sp2.
              Things I have already tried:
              I can't find a newer version of the iisproxy.dll than the one that came with Weblogic
              6.0 sp1 (This is the 696 KB one).
              I have confirmed that the exact line of code which breaks the iisproxy.dll is
              the line where you set the filename. The download prompt works fine if you don't
              try to alter the response to set a specific filename.
              I have confirmed that changing the file extension to .jsp while still trying to
              alter the filename fails.

    As you said, it could be the WLS6 truststore which doesn't contain the certificate authority. Just check which files are used (cacerts, cacerts.jks,..), and maybe you can find it by checking the option startup : -Dweblogic.security.SSL.trustedCAKeyStore
    It doesn't matter when the exception is triggered (you can do an explicit handshake, or just write in the socket and then wait for an implicit handshake)

  • SOAP Fault or Response

    Hi dear members,
    I would like to know if there is any best practices on whether to use SOAP Fault or a response object for returning messages including business errors
    in request-response operations.
    Can someone refer to some documentation on this topic?

    In general I prefer to use SOAP faults for exceptions as they force the caller to handle them. When returning errors in a response object the caller can just not check for the response status and continue, which may lead to new failures on subsequent calls. Also, when calling services from an environment as BPEL, using soap faults helps you to use built in error handling like the error hospital and transaction support which would be far more difficult to do when the service would return an error status as part of a normal response.

    Hi,
    You should be able to edit the generated wsdl as you suggested, changing the
    "return" to something else. Then save the wsdl to a file, say
    "filename.wsdl", and then at the top of your jws add the following:
    * @jws:wsdl file="filename.wsdl"
    This will force the jws to use the wsdl you specify and you won't have to
    edit any maps. Of course, as your jws changes, you will need to regenerate
    the wsdl and change the "return" to something else.

    I have created a webservice in workshop that has some methods what returnstring-data.
    Now I want to create clients with different software-products. Because Igot some
    errors with one of these products, I looked into the WSDL and noticed thatthe
    name of the response-datatype is 'return' (by default).
    You can see this here:
    - <s:element name="addUserResponse">
    - <s:complexType>
    - <s:sequence>
    <s:element minOccurs="1" maxOccurs="1" name="return" nillable="true"type="s:string"
    />
    This 'return' is interpreted as a keyword in the client-generation tool.If I
    change this manually to another word then it works.
    When I try to change the 'Return XML' in the 'Edit Maps and Interface'Dialog,
    than the WSDL looks like this:
    - <s:element name="addUserResponse">
    - <s:complexType mixed="true">
    - <s:sequence>
    <s:any minOccurs="1" maxOccurs="unbounded" />
    Now the name- and type-definitions are completely missing.
    The question is now: how to change the name of the response-datatype from'return'
    to another (not-keyword-) name?
    I think this is important because I don't know what software a customeruses to
    generate a client and I can not expect that he manually edits myWSDL-file.

    Hi everyone,
    I want to set header in response to a request but it doesn't work :
    response.addHeader("WSC_RESPONSE", "STRUTS_ERROR");
    System.out.println(response.containsHeader("WSC_RESPONSE"));
    response.setHeader("WSC_RESPONSE", "STRUTS_ERROR");
    System.out.println(response.containsHeader("WSC_RESPONSE"));
    this print me :
    false
    false
    thanks in advance for help

    I can't do this because I'm putting those lines in an action who was caled by another action wich fill the response in.
    private ActionForward doDispatchMethod(ActionMapping mapping,
                                               ActionForm form,
                                               HttpServletRequest request,
                                               HttpServletResponse response,
                                               String methodName)
                                        throws IOException
                Method method = getMethod(methodName);
                Object[] args = { mapping, form, request, response };
                fwd = (ActionForward) method.invoke(this, args);
            if (request.getAttribute(ERROR_KEY)!=null)
                 response.reset();
                 response.addHeader("WSC_RESPONSE", "STRUTS_ERROR");
                 System.out.println(response.containsHeader("WSC_RESPONSE"));
                 response.setHeader("WSC_RESPONSE", "STRUTS_ERROR");
                 System.out.println(response.containsHeader("WSC_RESPONSE"));
            else
                 response.reset();
                 response.addHeader("WSC_RESPONSE", "OK");
                 System.out.println(response.containsHeader("WSC_RESPONSE"));
                 response.setHeader("WSC_RESPONSE", "OK");
                 System.out.println(response.containsHeader("WSC_RESPONSE"));
            return fwd;
        }

  • OneDrive stopped returning files with a "+" in its file name.

    Hi,
    My app creates a folder in OneDrive in the name of the app and saves a data file with the same name in it.  My app name contains a "+" in the name.  For example "Menu+ Inventory.dat"
    All was working well for last couple of years and suddenly OneDrive is not returning files with a "+" in its name for the last few days.  Many of my app users will loose data if the file couldn't be retrieved from OneDrive.
    // Runs a search query on SkyDrive to find a matching file.
    function searchForFile(path) {
    var whenFolderFound = _searchForFolder();
    var skyDriveSearchPath = "/me/skydrive/search?q=" + path;
    // Runs async search for the user-specified file.
    var whenFilesFound = WL.api({
    path: skyDriveSearchPath,
    method: "GET"
    }).then(function (response) {
    if (response != null) {
    return WinJS.Promise.wrap(response);
    } else {
    inMemoryFile = null;
    return WinJS.Promise.wrap(false);
    In the SkyDrive Roaming Data sample, in the above function, if the skyDriveSearchPath has the above mentioned filename, the response doesn't have the file.  The sample app will create the file, save data with that name, but does not read the file. It
    can read other files with no "+" in the file name.
    Is there a change in OneDrive naming specs recently?

    Sorted. Well sort of. I still have the problem but I know why. Apparently O2 will not allow anyone to send an attachment which has a space in the name. They claim that this reduces spam - no idea why they think that will stop spam but there you go...

  • RETURN statement "kills" my BSP event handling

    Hi,
    I've gone through [this|Downloaded Excel data is shown using Chinese characters (!); and everything went just fine. At the end of that code, to make my BSP react and finally display that popup, I had to insert a RETURN statement, and by doing so, the BSP virtually "dies": stops reacting to any ohter event, and finally makes me close the browser. This is the relevant section of my code:
    cFolders
    OnInputProcessing event
    response->set_data( data   = lv_xstring ).
    navigation->response_complete( ). " signal that response is complete
    return.
    Why is that happening? What could I do to avoid that behavior, and keep working my custom pushbutton functionality?
    Thanks in advance, hope someone could help me.
    Regards,
    Federico.

    Hi Frederico,
    I think there is a misunderstanding, what you want your application to do and what response_complete is used for.
    Do I understand your requirement right: You want a popup-window with excel content and in background-window the standard application should run unchanged?
    That doesn't work with response_complete in OnInputProcessing, because the statement is used to prevent creating the default response of a page in onLayout method
    If you use RETURN, the processing of your page is stopped and the response consists only of the content you filled in but not of any default page layout => excel appears but your application seems to be dead
    If you do not use RETURN, you navigate to another page (statement cl_cfx_util_ui=>navigate). As navigation in BSPs is realized by a browser redirect, a complete new request-response-zyklus is started => no excel appears, your response seems to be overwritten
    Possible solutions are:
    1. Instead of sending the response object back to the client, store it in the server-cache (method SERVER_CACHE_UPLOAD of class CL_HTTP_SERVER) in OnInputProcessing and open a new browser window with url of object in server-cache.
    OR
    2. Open a new browser window with url of a new custom bsp page and generate the response in onInitialization of the new custom page.
    Search the forum, you'll find a lot of examples how to use the server-cache and how to open a new window with javacript.
    Anyway: read also SAP help to understand the control flow of BSPs: [http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/a3/4b9afa7aa511d5992e00508b6b8b11/frameset.htm]
