No Timeout Target Assigned to ______ Timeout Ignored!

Sorry if this has been answered, I searched "timeout ignored" and hit zero. And I am under the gun here to figure this out.
I am hitting this Log note: No Timeout Target Assigned to ____ Timeout Ignored!
I have two Menu canvases with one still photo per canvas.
Ideally I would like them to Time Out — go black — after a set time (so as to avoid screen burn in).
Does this Log note warning have anything to do with that?
Any info will be appreciated, if this normal or something I need to figure out and correct...

You can set the timeout action to a black menu (or perhaps a motion menu with the word press here with button moving so movie can continue).
But if you set the menu to timeout and did not set an action to not set you would get that message

  • Each target assigned to a job must have a setting and destination.

    Simple. Basic Question.
    Trying to use Compressor to change the codec on my flip cam to make it more compatible with FCP X.
    I have dragged a source and destination into the batch. But it keeps giving me the error "Each target assigned to a job must have a setting and destination." I saw others had this same issue and the solution I saw was to set a destination for the video AND audio. How do you assign for BOTH? I thought it was just a drag and drop method into batch ...

    You didn't say what your settings were. But tif it's not one of the DVD presets, you shouldn't ordinarily be faced with separate audio and video streams with the majority of presets. Here's an example of a batch with one source file, multiple targets and multiple destinations. Only the DVD Preset has separate audio and video…and those do require that destinations be specified. If the destination is not specified, it defaults to Source.
    Good luck.

  • JDBC / JTA Timeouts : How to set a timeout on the fetching of a query ?

    Hi !
    I'm working on an Application running on Weblogic Server 11g. This app executes a query on an Oracle 11g database ...
    The problem is that this query returns millions of records ... and the app fetches the results during tens of minutes.
    We would like to set a timeout, wich will abandon the transaction, hang the database connection, destroy the socket ... or anything else ...
    This timeout will prevent the thread to become in STUCK state and stucking the weblogic managed server.
    Is this possible ?
    Thank's for your answers.
    Steve.

    Abandon timeout will not help. That is only used if a database crashes during the second phase of commit. It specifies how long the transaction manager should keep trying to complete the transaction.
    JTA timeout will only work if you are using XA datasources and two-phase commit transactions. When the timeout occurs, it guarantees that the transaction cannot be committed. Eventually, all of the participant resources will be notified and will not allow any more work to take place on the transaction. It does not stop the threads and the application must be written to handle exceptions appropriately.

  • JTA transaction timeout vs. EJB transaction timeout

    Hi,
    can anybody tell me if the JTA transaction timeout, e.g. <JTA
    Name="myServer" TimeoutSeconds="60"/> works for EJBs as default transaction
    timeout if none is given in the deployment descriptor.
    I assumed that this is correct, and tried to test this by setting the
    JTA-timeout value to 1 (second). However I experienced no timeout exceptions
    in our logfile with this setting.

    This should work fine in 6.1 and 7.0. I believe it was broken in 6.0

  • Get current target, assign to object?

    I have an object which extends MovieClip.  There are multiple instances created of it on the stage.
    The handler for the click event is:
    private function hotSpotClickHandler(e:Event):void {
    // make a mask that matches the size and position of the hot spot clicked on
    makeMask(e.currentTarget.width,e.currentTarget.height,e.currentTarget.x,e.currentTarget.y) ;
    I was looking for a way to not have to type e.currentTarget... every time.  I tried adding a line:
    var obj:Object =  new Object(e.current.target)
    so I could just say obj.width, obj.height etc.  But this did not work since e.current.target returns two parameters [object MovieClip].
    How could I accomplish this?

    Should be
    var obj:Object = e.currentTarget;
    trace(obj.width);
    trace(obj.height);

  • Audio in 'Video Transistions'. Possible?? How?  Help Quick! Deadline close!

    Hey Gang,
    I've built a fully custom Motion menu and I want to use transitions I've created in Motion as well when the buttons are clicked. This calls for compressing it to a video format and using the "Video Transistions" part of the transition tab, I'm assuming. But I have sound that goes along with it and it doesn't seem to want to use the sound within the file.
    I tried just making the transition another track it goes to before the track the button was intended for, but there's a huge long heart attack before it gets to the transition (maybe a full second) which is why I needed the transition in the first place.
    Help!! I have a deadline on this in 48 hours!
    G5 Quad   Mac OS X (10.4.7)

    Hey snooch,
    if you built motion menus and transitions in another application (like in AE or Motion), you DO NOT need to use the transition tab of the menu.
    you can do this in one of two ways:
    you can put you motion menu in menu space as you normally would, assign everything, loop points, whatever; then you would place your custom motion menu transition in another new menu. all you have to do is then assign the button IN the motion menu TO the transition. make sure that you timeout the transistion. the timeout should equal 0 seconds. also, you DO NOT have to create any buttons, or even use an overlay (sub picture) in your tansition. the ONLY thing you need is the background video. then in the connections tab, there will be an option called "Menu Timeout Target". assign this as you would any regular button.
    the other way to what you want is to create your motion menu, assign buttons, whatever you have to do basically. then, in your video stream, place your menu transition that is associated with the button press (assuming if the transition goes to video) and THEN place your regular video and audio in the same stream.
    both these options have pros and cons of course.
    i personally would advise the first method, although there might be a slight jump/pause in the transtion.
    of course, you can creat it this way, and to totally minize any jump and make the DVD much more smooth (as in when the seek time and such), you can opt to use a VIDEO_TS modifier such as DVD after edit or myDVDedit. DVDafteredit is payware, but conforms to DVD spec much more strictly than myDVDedit.
    myDVDedit is free though.
    both apps have a very steep learning curve.
    **as a side note, i use BOTH of these applications, BOTH have pros and cons i love both!

  • ISE 1.1 - switch ignores "Session-Timeout"

    hi all,
    I'm playing around with ISE guest service and have some difficulty with Time Profiles.
    After guest logs in, Radius attributes are sent to the switch (3750G) one of them is Session-Timeout which should be similar to 1h (DefaultOneHour)
    According to ISE logs and switch debugs, ISE did it well and this attribute was sent  but it seems that the switch simply ignores it.

    tacacs-server key CISCO
    All works fine however the "timeout" value above seems to be ignored on switches running 12.2(20)SE1. It should be that if the TACACS+ server (10.1.1.1) goes down, the switch will fall back to using local authentication after 2 secs. However, it seems to be fixed at 30 secs.
    Note that it works fine on 12.1(19)EA1c but always seems fixed at 30 secs on 12.2(20)SE1. This makes it really annoying when TACACS+ is unavailable and you're trying to configure a switch, especially if you're doing command authorization.
    Wondering if anyone else has this problem and whether Cisco is aware of it?
    Thanks.
    PAUL G.

    You are possibly running into CSCed76124 - Tacacs-server timeout value ignored. I guess you will need to track it for a workaround or consider using another IOS version not affected with this defect.

  • What is the difference between Session timeout and Short Session timeout Under Excel Service Application -- session management?

    Under Excel Service Application --> session management; what is the difference between Session timeout and Short Session timeout?

    Any call made from the API will automatically be set to the “Session Timeout” period, no matter
    what. Calls made from EWA (Excel Web Access) will get the “Short Session Timeout” period assigned to it initially.

  • Setting Adapter Timeout

    Hello
    I am having a File/FTP Adapter at my receiving end.I have noted that if a async msg is sent with Exactly Once option and if FTP server is down the message does not gets delivered but as soon as its up it gets delivered.
    I just wanted to know how long Adapter keeps polling to the target directory? Can we set some specific timeout for adapter e.g. if FTP server does not comeup within 15 mins the adapter should timeout and message should fail. The message can then be sent manually.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Rajeev Patkie

    Ashu,
    It is not only the JTA timeout which may cause transaction rollback. If JDBC and BPEL are involved then following timeouts also does matter and ideally all of them will be less than the JTA timeout -
    1. XA connection timeout configured in data-source
    2. Statement timeout configured in data-source
    3. BPEL timeout - set property SyncMaxWaitTime (value in seconds) in the EM console
    4. SOA EJB's timeout
    Now question here should not be that which timeout is actually causing the transaction rollback, rather question should be that why a JDBC call is taking 300 seconds? What processing are you doing which is taking this much time?
    Regards,
    Anuj

  • Ata driver timeout and Solaris 10 10/08

    Good day,
    My Solaris 10 10/08 installation is suffering from ata driver timeouts. The error messages are exactly the same as those documented in OpenSolaris Bug ID 6586621 (abort request,abort device,reset target,reset bus,early timeout in quick succession followed by "Vendor 'Gen-ATA ' error code: 0x3".
    The underlying disks are QEMU disks in a XenServer HVM and the VM has two CPUs. Since the disks are actually files on an underlying RAID 10 array that is reported as healthy by the RAID controller, I would exclude hardware faults (other VMs run faultlessly).
    The suggestion at http://justindthomas.wordpress.com/2008/12/22/xenserver-5-and-opensolaris-0811/ regarding the disabling of DMA use by the ata driver has not been effective.
    Any pointer is welcome. I would also appreciate an evaluaton of the validity to my case of workaround 5 suggested at http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/820-5245/fhknh?a=view (Solaris 10 10/08 release notes).
    Many thanks for any help.
    Cheers!

    From what I have seen these errors are generated from the dvd-rom (ide device) not coming online fully or failing during boot. Sometimes the errors go away with a simple reboot, but they might re-appear on the next reboot. The only sure way to resolve this issue is to disconnect the dvd drive.
    I am trying to find a an alternative to physically disconnecting the dvdroms, looking for a way way to disable the dvd from being detected.

  • 802.1x EAP-TLS with NPS/W2008 - Authentication result 'timeout'

    Hello
    [Env on my lab investigation]
    supplicant - W7 with cert
    authenticator - Catalyst 2960 with IOS 15.0(1)SE2 /newest/
    authentication server 2x - W2008/NPS like a RADIUS server
    [Config some part of authenticator]
    interface FastEthernet0/1
    switchport access vlan 34
    switchport mode access
    authentication event fail retry 1 action authorize vlan 47
    authentication event server dead action authorize vlan 35
    authentication event no-response action authorize vlan 47
    authentication event server alive action reinitialize
    authentication port-control auto
    dot1x pae authenticator
    dot1x timeout quiet-period 15
    dot1x timeout tx-period 15
    spanning-tree portfast
    [Symptoms]
    After reboot authenticator the supplican connected to FE0/1 finally put into the Guest VLAN 47 and before that I saw on the authenticators console Authentication result 'timeout', but when the switch is up and running the the same port authenticator FE0/1 the same supplicant W7 with cert now I connect to authenticator finally supplicant put into static VLAN 34.
    [Summary]
    The problem is the end station that are still connected to the supplicant port /use a EAP-TLS/ after the reboot supplicant! All of them will be put into the Guest VLAN instead of static VLAN 34!
    [The question]
    What is wrong and how to configure/tune and what authenticator or authentication server to prevent after the reboot to observe a authentication timeouts?
    Of course the supplicant after 20 minutes /next EAPOL start farmet put into VLAN 34 .
    [Logs]
    During this I observed the wireshark supplicant and authenticator console and NPS wireshark, below:
    1. supplicant and authenticator orderflow at wireshar:
    - supplicant EAPOL Start
    - authenticator EAP Request Identity
    - supplicat  Response Identity, 3 times
    - supplicant EAPOL Start
    - authenticator EAP Failure
    - authenticator EAP Request Identity x2

    and again, more detail about flow from whireshar chart at the end
    2. authenticator console saw like this:

    Hi,
    Did you ever try to configure re-authentication?
    Is the client is up and running if you connect it to the switch?

  • Web Dynpro ABAP timeout

    Hi everyone,
    Is there a way to implement a custom timeout message for the end-user. I guess it needs to be some sort of handler on the ICF, but any help would be appreciated..
    Thanks,
    Nick

    I had developed a custom timeout warning for BSP that I had been considering adapting to WDA.  Here is what I was thinking (see if it helps you out).
    I was think about building it as a separate component that could be included in another component via a UI Element Container.  The component wouldn't have any visible UI elements - just a timer control and logic.
    On each request/response (probably in the WDDOMODIFYVIEW event handler) we will have recalculate the timeout for the timer becasue it has just been refresh.
    Here is the logic from BSP to determine the timeout that I was going to adjust.  I think it would just need the call for the ICF timeout:
    ****Is this application stateful
      if mc_runtime->keep_context = 1.
        name = 'rdisp/plugin_auto_logout'.
        call 'C_SAPGPARAM' id 'NAME'  field name
                           id 'VALUE' field value.
    ****Is there a specific Timeout set
        if mc_runtime->server->session_timeout is initial.
    ****No Timeout set - get the default value from the profile parameter
    ****Profile Parameter is already stored as number of seconds.
          timeout = value.
        else.
    ****We got a specific timeout - now convert it to a number of seconds.
          data: minutes type i.
          l_timeout = mc_runtime->server->session_timeout.
          minutes = l_timeout+0(2) * 60.
          minutes = minutes + l_timeout+2(2).
          timeout = ( minutes * 60 ) + l_timeout+4(2).
    ****If a specified timeout is larger than the default, it is ignored.
    ****Use the default instead.
          if timeout > value.
            timeout = value.
          endif.
        endif.
        if timeout > me->delay.
    ****Turn this into the number of microseconds
          trigger_timeout = ( timeout - delay ) * 1000.
        endif.
      else.
        rc = co_element_done.
        exit.
      endif.
    Now when the timer actually triggers in the WDA, it will trigger a server event and reset the actual timeout.  In BSP this isn't a problem, because we do the dialog all via JavaScript and avoid a server refresh. In WDA even though the backend timeout has been reset, we would just continue processing as though it hasn't been.  I would produce a popup warning the user that they are about to timeout.  This popup will have a timer that if it doesn't receive an answer after 1 minute (configurable) it will force closure (exit navigation).  The user can choose to renew their timeout (actually it was already renewed by the popup server roundtrip - but they won't know that).  This will actually just close the popup dialog.

    Hi Oscar,
    The configuration seems to be fine.
    At this point lets troubleshoot the VPN communication.
    The SYN timeout means that the server does not repond,  or the SYN ACK never reached the ASA.
    We need to place a packet capture on the inside interface as follows:
    capture capin interface inside match ip 10.1.1.0 255.255.255.0 192.168.3.0 255.255.255.0
    Then you try to access the server via RDP and issue the "show capture capin" command.
    Another good test would be the following:
    packet-tracer input inside icmp 10.1.1.250 8 0 192.168.3.1 detail ---> where the 192.168.3.1 must be the IP of the VPN client
    Attach the output of the "show capture capin" and "packet-tracer" output.
    Let me know.
    Portu.

  • Web Dynpro Timeout

    Hi ,
    I need to display a pop-up to the user in a WDA application if the session is inactive for 2 mins. Please explain how to do the same.
    Thanks in anticpation.
    Regards
    Nidhi Jain

    I built such a timeout as a reusable component before.  Everytime there is a post back to the server, the timer gets rerendered with the delay value if it is data bound.  That way any server event cause the timeout to reset.
    In the WDDOINIT of the component controller, I calculate the timeout by reading the SICF settings:
    data: name type pfeparname.
      data: value type pfepvalue.
      data: l_timeout type icftime.
      data: timeout type int4,
            trigger_timeout type int4.
      clear: timeout, trigger_timeout.
    ****Get the App Server Timeout
      name = 'rdisp/plugin_auto_logout'.
      call 'C_SAPGPARAM' id 'NAME'  field name
                         id 'VALUE' field value.
    ****Is there a specific Timeout set
      if wdr_task=>server is bound.
        if wdr_task=>server->session_timeout is initial.
          timeout = value.
        else.
    ****We got a specific timeout - now convert it to a number of seconds.
          data: minutes type i.
          l_timeout =  wdr_task=>server->session_timeout.
          minutes = l_timeout+0(2) * 60.
          minutes = minutes + l_timeout+2(2).
          timeout = ( minutes * 60 ) + l_timeout+4(2).
    ****If a specified timeout is larger than the default, it is ignored.
    ****Use the default instead.
          if timeout > value.
            timeout = value.
          endif.
        endif.
      else.
        timeout = value.
      endif.

    * set all declared attributes
      lo_el_timeout_info->set_static_attributes(
         static_attributes = ls_timeout_info ).
    I have view with just timedTrigger.  The delay is bound to TRIGGER_TIMEOUT attribute.  I have an onAction called SHOWTIMEOUTPROMPT.
    In the SHOWTIMEOUTPROMPT, I trigger a popup view:
    method onactionshowtimeoutprompt .
      data lo_window_manager type ref to if_wd_window_manager.
      data lo_api_component  type ref to if_wd_component.
      data lo_window         type ref to if_wd_window.
    data lv_text_t01 type string.
    lv_text_t01 =
      wd_assist->if_wd_component_assistance~get_text( 'T01' ).
      lo_api_component  = wd_comp_controller->wd_get_api( ).
      lo_window_manager = lo_api_component->get_window_manager( ).
      lo_window         = lo_window_manager->create_window(
                         window_name            = 'W_PROMPT'
                         title                  = lv_text_t01
    *                    close_in_any_case      = abap_true
                         message_display_mode   = if_wd_window=>co_msg_display_mode_selected
    *                    close_button           = abap_true
                         button_kind            = if_wd_window=>co_buttons_ok
                         message_type           = if_wd_window=>co_msg_type_none
                         default_button         = if_wd_window=>co_button_ok
      lo_window->open( ).
    endmethod.
    In the popup view, I give the user the opportunity to continue their session or they will be logged out.  So I have another timer in the popup that will trigger a navigation plug once it counts down. If the user closes the dialog, the timer gets reset because it triggers a server event.  Otherwise if there is no activity the final timer gets triggered.
    Here is the WDDOINIT of the Promt View:
    method wddoinit .
      data lo_nd_timeout_info type ref to if_wd_context_node.
      data lo_el_timeout_info type ref to if_wd_context_element.
      data ls_timeout_info type wd_this->element_timeout_info.
      lo_nd_timeout_info = wd_context->get_child_node( name = wd_this->wdctx_timeout_info ).
      lo_el_timeout_info = lo_nd_timeout_info->get_element( ).
    *   get all declared attributes
      lo_el_timeout_info->get_static_attributes(
        importing
          static_attributes = ls_timeout_info ).
      data lo_el_context type ref to if_wd_context_element.
      data ls_context type wd_this->element_context.
      data lv_timeout_message type wd_this->element_context-timeout_message.
      lo_el_context = wd_context->get_element( ).
      data: s_minutes type string.
      s_minutes = ls_timeout_info-final_logoff_timer / 60.
      if s_minutes > 1.
        data lv_text_q02 type string.
        lv_text_q02 =
          wd_assist->if_wd_component_assistance~get_text( 'Q02' ).
        data lv_text_q03 type string.
        lv_text_q03 =
          wd_assist->if_wd_component_assistance~get_text( 'Q03' ).
        concatenate lv_text_q02
                    s_minutes
                    lv_text_q03
                    into lv_timeout_message separated by space.
      else.
        data lv_text_q01 type string.
        lv_text_q01 =
          wd_assist->if_wd_component_assistance~get_text( 'Q01' ).
        move lv_text_q01 to lv_timeout_message.
      endif.
    * set single attribute
      lo_el_context->set_attribute(
        name =  `TIMEOUT_MESSAGE`
        value = lv_timeout_message ).
    endmethod.
    And here is the event handler for the final timer:
    method onactionlogoff .
    data lo_nd_configuration type ref to if_wd_context_node.
      data lo_el_configuration type ref to if_wd_context_element.
      data ls_configuration type wd_this->element_configuration.
      data lv_exit_url type wd_this->element_configuration-exit_url.
      lo_nd_configuration = wd_context->get_child_node( name = wd_this->wdctx_configuration ).
      lo_el_configuration = lo_nd_configuration->get_element( ).
    * get single attribute
      lo_el_configuration->get_attribute(
        exporting
          name =  `EXIT_URL`
        importing
          value = lv_exit_url ).
      data lo_componentcontroller type ref to ig_componentcontroller .
      lo_componentcontroller =   wd_this->get_componentcontroller_ctr( ).
      lo_componentcontroller->fire_logoff_evt( ).
      data lo_w_main type ref to ig_w_main .
      lo_w_main =   wd_this->get_w_main_ctr( ).
      lo_w_main->fire_exitapp_plg(
        url =  lv_exit_url  ).
    endmethod.
    This is a reusable component, so it is actually firing an event in the hosting component.  The hosting component can then decide how to handle the event - usually by trigging a navigation plug to itself.
