Noise problem with moving bitmaps

I'm having trouble with the most recent Flash player
(9,0,45,0). When
displaying moving bitmaps, the player sometimes shows
horizontal noise
lines across the image. This doesn't happen on all platforms,
but it
does happen on my customers', so I've got to figure it out.
It happens in the OS X Flash 9.0 IDE, but not on the same
machine within
a browser. It happens on some Windows machines, but not
others. It only
happens with bitmaps; if I trace the bitmap into shapes then
the problem
goes away (no, that's not an option for my application). The
format of
the imported bitmap doesn't matter, nor does whether it is
being moved
with a motion tween or ActionScript. Updating to the latest
Flash player
reduced the effect for my customer, but not completely.
I've made a web page that has the live applet (so you can see
if it
happens on your system), the applet source, and a screen shot
of the
noise effect (when played within the Flash 9.0 IDE). Note
that it took
me about fifty tries to get that screen shot, but while the
applet is
running the noise is quite easy to see since it's so sharp.
You can find
the page here:

Excellent!!! (Well, not excellent that the problem exists,
nor that
you're inflicted by it, but that it's at least duplicatable.
It gives me
hope that it will be fixed.)

I'm not even using a BitmapData; I'm just moving a Bitmap
asset across
the stage. No ActionScript involved.
It's clear to me that this is a Macromedia/Adobe bug. I've
posted a
report on the Adobe Feature Request/Bug Report form at

Please:
everyone who is experiencing this problem do the same.

  • Problems with moving directories

    Hi, i have a problem with moving one subdirectory from one directory to another. Here is the code
         public static boolean moveToDir(String filename, String dirname)
         if( XFileUtils.fileExists(filename) )
         return onMoveSingleFileToDir(filename,dirname);
         File dir = new File(".");
         FileFilter fileFilter = new WildcardFilter(filename);
         File[] files = dir.listFiles(fileFilter);
         boolean _flag = true;
         for (int i = 0; i < files.length; _i++)
         String _cfilename = files[_i].getName();
         if( !XFileUtils.fileExists(_cfilename) )
         throw new RuntimeException("file or dir does not exists"+_cfilename);
    flag = flag && onMoveSingleFileToDir(_cfilename, dirname);
         return _flag;
    Can anyone help me?
    Thank you very much!

    Also, a sample DAD would look like:
    <Location /database1>
    SetHandler pls_handler
    Order allow,deny
    Allow from All
    AllowOverride None
    PlsqlDatabaseUsername APEX_PUBLIC_USER
    PlsqlDatabasePassword This_Password
    PlsqlDatabaseConnectString database1 TNSFormat
    PlsqlDocumentTablename wwv_flow_file_objects$
    PlsqlDocumentPath docs
    PlsqlDocumentProcedure wwv_flow_file_mgr.process_download
    PlsqlDefaultPage f?p=130
    </Location>
    <Location /database2>
    SetHandler pls_handler
    Order allow,deny

    PlsqlDocumentPath docs
    PlsqlDocumentProcedure wwv_flow_file_mgr.process_download
    PlsqlDefaultPage f?p=131
    </Location>
    The tnsnames.ora file would then look similar to:
    DATABASE1 =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = the_database_server)(PORT = 1521))
    (CONNECT_DATA =
    (SERVICE_NAME = DATABASE1)

    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = the_database_server)(PORT = 1521))
    (CONNECT_DATA =
    (SERVICE_NAME = DATABASE2)
    Again, these are edited copies of what I use, but something similar should work for you.

  • Strange noise problem with music layer after replacing the music file using script in CS6

    Hey guys,
    I got a strange problem. Sometime when I import a music file, or replace a music footage with another music file using the "replace()" or "importFile()" method, the music layer added one second noise at the beginning. like this,
    Does anyone know what's going on here?
    I'm using After Effects CS6 windows Server 2008 64bit.
    Thanks in advance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hi Myleniu,
    Thanks for your replay. Actually, it doesn't matter what makes up my comp, this problem just randomly happen when I render any comp. For example, I have a comp named "noise", I run a script to replace the music then render it, I use a "for" loop to do this 5 times and the music noise problem just happen one time.
    I'm starting to think that win server might be the problem.

  • How I fixed my noise problems with iTunes 7

    Firstly my system is an AMD X2 3800+ with a Gigabyte GA-K8N Ultra-9 motherboard and a Creative Soundblaster x-fi xtreme music.
    I was having two problems with playback itunes, firstly when the volume control in itunes was anything less than 100% there was distortion, then when itunes was playing with certain other programs using sound there was jumping, popping and fast forwarding, these included world of warcraft, Call of Duty 2 and Windows Media Player playing a video clip (though when I changed the codex for ffdshow to xvid i had no problem with media player)
    To solve the distortion problem i change the audio setting in quicktime form 24bit to 16bit.
    To solve the skipping I ran dxdiag.exe and went into the sound 1 tab, I found I had to pull the hardware acceleration slider to basic acceleration, if I set the slider to no acceleration itunes would refuse to run. After this I still had the occasional popping sound, so I went back to the quicktime audio settings and set the frequency to 44.1.
    I also I found that after each of these changes itunes had to be restarted to for them to come into effect.
    I also made sure i had the latest directx and sound card drivers.

    Hopefully you have posted this info in the iTunes for Windows forums. I am sure it can help your Windows buddies more then the Mac crowd.

  • Interlace problems with moving objects using iDVD

    I had an MP4 file (created by a 3rd party) from a Hi-8 analog tape which has some interlace artifacts on moving images (left image of boy) but not too bad. When the MP4 files was imported into iMovie 11 the interlace artifacts smoothed somewhat - that was OK (right image of boy). The camera was still and the boy was moving.  Vertical lines on stationary objects are OK in all images. These are screen captures from the Mac of the mp4 played through quicktime and the same file imported into iMovie 11 and played.  I paused both to take the screen capture.
    The completed project in iMovie 11 looked OK when previewed prior to rendering. These are 20 year old videos so my expections were being met.   I rendered the project with iDVD to the hard drive first and then to a DVD with the same poor imaging result on the moving object.  I am using a new Macbook Pro I bought in early January which came with iMovie 11 and iDVD  Ver 7.1.2 (1158). Running Mac OS X 10.7.3  Macbook Pro  2.3 Ghz Corei7   8GB 1333 Mhz DDR3.
    I couldn't screen capture from the MAC DVD player screen to illustrate the poor result (got a checkerboard screen) so I took a photo of the screen and imported that (below).  The moving boy on the left is from an  iMovie 11 screen capture, the image on the right is the moving boy from the rendered DVD I paused on the Mac (and took a pic of).
    Below a close up of the poorly rendered moving boy viewed on the resultant DVD.  This translates into a horrible rendition of any quick moving object.  It happens with any moving image - i.e. a pan across a room with straight vertical lines like edges of a wall will show as serrated and poorly rendered edge. I used a trial version of the Daniusoft DVD creator with the same result!  I am at a loss on how to resolve this issue.  Any thoughts out there??
    I had previously used Pinnacle Studios on my old XP PC which worked great on other tape's Mpeg files and created great DVD's (never had an interlace problem) ... until my computer died .....  so I figured Apple and associated software should be at least equal if not a superior product.   Now I'm not too sure!

  • Noise problem with HP Photosmart C4480

    I purchased this all-in-one in November of last year - now out of warranty and guess what? It has developed a fault in that it makes a noise like a loud machine gun burst before it starts printing. Print quality is still fine. On line technician in a far off place(i think) wasn't much help. Can this be cured?

    Hello Wildviolets
    If the printer was having noise and now won't work at all then it sounds like the printer may have had a hardware problem. As for the ink if they are Genuine HP ink and you just purchased them they should still be in warranty. If you purchase a new HP printer that doesn't use those cartridges, you should be able to call HP they should be able to replace any unopened ink cartridges that are in warranty for other HP ink cartridges that will work with your new printer.
    Hello Larrycza
    It does sound good for the printer. Have you tried running the HP Hardware Diagnostic Utility? It may be able to determine which component or problem is occurring.

  • PROBLEM WITH MOVING AVERAGE PRICE

    Hi,
    Correct me if I’m wrong, but from what I know the moving average price should only change or be recalculated when purchases or goods_recipts are made, otherwise items should be consumed at a FIXED moving average price (cost).
    I´ve noticed when looking into the Inventory Audit Report that the moving average price is changing in my installations and I see that SAP BO recalculates it every time an issue is made. This last thing only happens when the total amount of the transaction is rounded or left with 0 decimals and the other types such as prices, rates, quantities, percent, etc. are left with 2 or 3 decimals.
    Because of my country settings, the total amount has to have 0 decimals (I live in Chile and we don’t have cents in our currency) and the moving average price of an Item should not change when an issue is made, can you help me with this?
    Thanks and best regards to you all.
    Fernando

    Hi Nagesh,
    Thank you for your quick response.
    I understand what you say, but moving average price should not change when an issue is made and that´s what is bothering us.
    The difference between what it shoud be and what SAP BO is calculating is our concern, ie: let´s say the number of transactions is 100, would that difference be negligible?
    Here is an example:
    Goods issue:
    SO 8     11     -10,49     166,67     -1.748     99,35     16.559
    SO 9     11     -10,49     166,673     -1.748     88,86     14.811
    SO 10     11     -10,49     166,678     -1.748     78,37     13.063
    SO 11     11     -10,48     166,684     -1.747     67,89     11.316
    SO 12     11     -10,56     166,681     -1.760     57,33     9.556
    Note that coma (,) is decimal separation and period (.) is the mile separator.
    Where the 3rd line is the quantity of the goods issue, the 4th is the moving average, and the 5th is the total quantity of the issue.
    So you see 10,49 x 1748 = 1748,39977= 1748(SAP) and then SAP BO recalculates the AVG. Price.
    The problem I was talking about was the difference of the stock AVG Price with one hundred transactions or so... now the difference seems negligible (166,7 - 166,681 = 0,011).
    Can you see it changes?, is that a bug?
    Thank you
    Fernando

  • HT4527 Help please!! problems with moving to new computer

    Hi,
    I've been trying to transfer my i Tunes library to my new computer and have run into problems. I've followed the directions in the article on the apple website HT4527 using the external hard drive method of transfer, and although this has successfully moved all my music I seem to have lost all my playlists. Also my new computer doesn't recognise my iPod or i Phone anymore.
    My old computer was running windows XP but I did have the latest version of i Tunes. My new computer is running Windows 7.
    Where did I go wrong?
    AAArgh

    I suspect you only copied the media folder, instead of copying the main iTunes folder. Playlists, ratings, play counts etc. are all stored in the iTunes Library.itl file that is the core of your library. Migrate the whole library properly and everything ends up on the new system. This is my suggested process.
    Backup the library with this User Tip.
    Restore the backup to your new computer using the same tool used to back it up.
    Deauthorize the old computer if you no longer want to access protected content on it.
    Keep your backup up-to-date in future.

  • Linux / Gnome - problem with moving JFrame ?

    I have a swing application which runs fine on Windows. Yesterday I tried it on a Fedora Linux (latest version) with Gnome, running Java 1.5.0_02 and I noticed the following weird problem. When you try to drag a JFrame window by the title bar to move it, it always maximizes it! When you bring it back to regular size, you see that the window was actually moved, but after that it was maximized, as if you double-clicked the title bar. It only happens with Java windows, all other X11 applications behave normally.
    Anybody else have the same problem?

    Btw, it only happens if you specify that you want JFrame and JDialog decorated:
    setDefaultLookAndFeelDecorated(true)
    As much as I like the new 1.5 Swing decorations I guess I will have to stick to no decorations under Linux.

  • Problem with moving objects after adding to stage

    Hi,
    I am a student using an educational licence version of Flash
    MX, obtained through my university, as a prototyping tool. All has
    been well until last night, when I found I could not reposition
    anything on the stage. I am something of a novice with Flash Mx and
    have been unable to find out what is causing the problem. I suspect
    I have inadvertantly used a control key combination to change a
    particular setting. The problem first manifested itself when I
    added a combo box from the components panel to the stage and it
    located itself in the top left hand corner and then refused to be
    moved!
    Any ideas gratefully accepted.

    This problem has now been resolved.

  • Problem with moving folders in LR3.0

    Having a problem moving images from Folder A to Folder B, When I highlight 6 photos and attempt to drag and drop all are moved EXCEPT the first photo in the group, then a white box pops us something like unable to move photo #1234. Close the shite box by clicking OK, then do the drag and drop with this same image it works. Is this a bug in LR 3, any other users experience this? Suggestions?
    Thanks, Cynthia

    Cynthia,
    Why don't you do so and just drag this one remaining image a second time in the meantime.

  • N8 background noise problem with Philips SHE9850

    I just bought N8 to replace my 5800XM. N8 is good so far until I plug in the ear phone which I used from my 5800XM time, Philips SHE9850.
    The problem is I used this earphone from the time that I still use 5800XM and it works great. No noise at all.
    Now, when you play any sound from N8 (anything from clicking menu button, play movie, listen to music, play games etc). It produces static noise that is very noticeable/annoying in the earphone (since Philips SHE9850 has quite low impedance so you will know right away). Especially, the dialogue (speech) or the quiet part of the song. When you slide the side button to lock the screen, after it goes dim, the noise goes away even the music still playing which is so strange.
    Do any of you have similar problem like me? I am going to visit Nokia Shop that I bought the phone on this Friday and test with the demo phone. Don’t know what will be the result but I am so disappoint with this issue. If you have any experience, please share with me. Thanks.

    You guys are worrying me. My N97 has top notch audio output. If N8 has worse, I don't want it.
    I remember that N95 had similiar issue when screen was turned on.
    I was getting a slight pop/hiss on my N97-00 when each MP3 loaded.  The same behavior exists on the N8.  Could it simply be something to do with the way the codec is utilized by the phone.  I didn't find it that distracting.

  • Bizarre and regular metal noise problems with Logic

    Hi all,
    I've recently upgraded to Logic Studio 9 and have been disappointed to find that often when I open a project, instead of the expected audio, I get bizarre metallic sounding digital noise. This almost always happens if I open two projects or a second project over a previous one but also happened when I was auditioning audio files to add to the arrange. Sometimes opening another application in the background causes the same problem. This happened occasionally when we did a seesion on Logic 8 at a friend's studio but never on our own previous system using Logic Pro 7. The only resolution is to quit and restart Logic. It makes Logic frustrating to use and also completely unreliable for live use.
    Is this a known issue? Is there any solution?
    Many thanks,
    JH

    I have pinpointed the problem: as soon as I install LE8 after Garageband '09 on Mac OS X 10.6.1 the installation of GB is messed up. I appears that certain files conflict with each other. I will try the reverse: installing LE8 first, then GB'09.

  • Infamous noise problems with Apogee Duet on 2013 Macbook Pro

    Hello everybody,
    I just wanted to report that my new Apogee Duet (for Mac/iPad) is making the infamous crackling / popping noises on my new 2013 15" Macbook Pro. What's important to note is that this machine has an SSD drive and NOT the fusion drive (which has been said to cause these noises with various audio interfaces). Through some research on this site some people have suggested that upgrading to the new beta version of OS X 10.9.2 fixes these problems. I also heard that changing the sample rate to 96Hz in Maestro 2 helps. I will try each of these solutions and report later on.
    This is a serious problem which has rendered GarageBand to be more like GarbageBand.

    Hello rahnfromny. <edited by host> There is now a possible solution to your issue.

  • Problem with moving Public Folder

    Hello
    In an effort to keep current with the latest Exchange we are moving away from Exchange 2003 SBS, but in doing so we are trying to reduce the amount of Public Folders available.
    I have set up a .pst file and am trying to copy the folders into this file so I can delete the unwanted Public Folders. However some of these folders don't want to move giving an error in that I do not have the permissions to move them or they do not exist.
    I am logged in as Administrator and have checked the permissions on these folders and they all have Administrator with full access. Even trying to copy them give the same result.
    I even ran the MS tool called PFDAVADMIN and reset the permissions on all folders & sub folders I want to move, but still no luck.
    We only have this one server and there is no replication currently running on this server with these folders.
    Anybody have any idea what the problem could be and what I can do to get these folders to move?
    TIA

    Hi Rich
    My apologies for the confusion I created. To answer your first question, I am trying to use Outlook 2007 to move old folders from the Public Folders  into a pst file in order to reduce the size of the current Public Folder. I am trying to do the move
    by logging into the computer as Domain Administrator and then open Outlook 2007 from where I select the public folder(s), right click and select move. When the window opens to let me select the destination folder, I select my pst file I created and click on
    OK. This almost immediately shows a window saying "the folder cannot be copied, moved......."and ending off with access rights problems.
    However, having run into the access denied problem and giving Administrator owner access on each and every folder I am trying to move, I still ran into the access denied problem. This lead me to believe the problem could either be with AD authentication
    or ESM issue.
    Digging deeper I used ADSI Edit to look at the Exchange System Objects to see what values are set on these folders I cannot move. Connecting to ADSI Edit, at the top I select domain, in path I left it on LDAP://<myservername>/Domain and well known
    naming context Domain. I left Computer=Default. Click on Connect, expand Server, Expand DC, highligh Exchange System Objects
    In the right hand pane I noticed there are numerous folders missing/not showing compared to PF in Outlook. This proves to me that there is something seriously wrong with the public folders & replication. From the properties of Exchange System Objects
    I look at the proxyAddress value and it shows <not set> Surely this is wrong?
    Is there anyway I can fix this by having the PF values in the ADSI Edit like they show in Outlook? Should I go to RUS Enterprise in ESM and run a rebuild?
    I am a little stuck and will appreciate help & suggestions on what to do to fix this.
    Thanks
