HAVE BEEN USING 6230I FOR 3 MONTHS .PHONE WAS BRAND NEW. EVERYTHING HAS WORKED GREAT. NOW I HAVE A BLUETOOTH ISSUE. MY PHONE WILL NOT FIND NEW DEVICES BUT OTHER PHONES FIND ME OK. THIS HAS BEEN BLUETOOTHING FINE ALL THE TIME I HAVE OWNED AND NOW IT JUST WONT. ANY HELP PLEASE

Please check if you could put it to factory default & delete all paired devices.

JMF finds device but can't create Player

Hello,
I installed JMF and jmfregistry finds the camera (correct name) and jmfstudio has no problem getting images from the camera.
The device with the correct name is found in this vector: Vector devices = CaptureDeviceManager.getDeviceList(null);
I then call: p = Manager.createRealizedPlayer(ml); where 'ml' is passed the devInfo.getLocator(); from the device list.
But for some reason I get the error:
java.io.IOException: java.lang.Error: Couldn't initialize capture device

I have tried all of the responses regarding setting the LD_LIBRARY_PATH, Preload etc. with no luck. Also, I am running as 'sudo'

It just sounds like a libraries issue to me.
You need to have JMF.jar and all of the included .SO files on your LD_LIBRARY_PATH, and it's important to note that . (the current directory) is not included in the library path by default.
P.S. The line of code I messed up in the previous example code should have been...
DataSource ds = Manager.createDataSource(ml);

My Applications Folder seems to have gone missing from my dock. I can see it in the finder window but can't get it back to my dock. Any help would be appreciated!

Close all windows and quit all applications.
Launch Finder by clicking the Finder icon in the Dock.
Right click the "Application" folder and select "Get Info".
At the bottom of the resulting window there will be a blue folder icon in the preview section.
Drag the whole window to the right side of the desktop,closer to the Dock.
Now drag the blue preview folder to the Dock right of the separator line.
Right click the folder icon and select "Folder" under "Display as" if it is not shown as folder.

Take it to an Apple Genius Bar to be checked out. It will either be the battery or the Logic board (not sure the charging circuit is a separate part. If it is then it mya be just that part).
If logic board just use it plugged in as for the cost of changing out the logic board you can buy a new system.

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, and filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

Thanks to the $15 Beamer, AirPlay streaming is still possible on Macs that do not support Airplay and mirroring.

HT204368 iPhone 5 Bluetooth not working. Nor can it find my iPad, and the iPad can't find it, but can find my old Nokia phone.

New iPhone 5 can't find any Bluetooth devices. I have reset the network settings without any luck. I have an iPad which can't find the iPhone but can find my old Nokia phone on Bluetooth. I want to use Bluetooth with my hearing aids, which work fine with the Nokia.
In terms of what is happening, when I turn on Bluetooth, I get "searching" under the devices section but no devices are found. Grey Bluetooth icon beside battery life icon.
Anyone solved this problem?

Networked Computer Cannot Write to Remote Device, but Can Read and Delete

I am troubleshooting a Mac on OS X 10.4.11 that is having troubling file sharing with a file server also running OS X 10.4.11. The computer cannot write to the file server, but can read files, create blank files, and even delete files.
I have a small network that typically includes 5-7 Macs running various versions of OS X and several Windows PCs of various types. All computers on the network have access to a pair of external drives by way of a networked iMac running OS X 10.4.11 with File Sharing and Windows File Sharing enabled.
One of the Macs on the network (also running 10.4.11) is experiencing assorted permissions issues with one user. When attempting to save files to the external drives or file server desktop via AFP, this user account will receive an error to the effect that they do not have sufficient privileges to do so. However, a stub file will be created on the remote machine (an 8K file of the same name and type, but having no content). The user can read files but not save changes. However, they can delete files. Further, this user receives notices that they do not permission to add files to user drop boxes hosted on the same machine.
Interestingly, when connected via AFP to a machine running 10.5.8, this user can read and write files normally.
A new user account was ceated on the affected machine. This accounts functions normally.
Windows File Sharing is enabled on the affected machine, however disabling seems to have no effect.
Permisisons have been repaired via Disk Utility.
Permissions for all files on external drives have been set to 777.
No other devices or users on network are known to have experienced any problems.

Very strange, long shut, but In Finder, select Go menu>Go to Folder, and go to "/volumes".
Volumes is where an alias to your hard drive ("/" at boot) is placed at startup, and where all the "mount points" for auxiliary drives are created for you to access them. This folder is normally hidden from view.
Drives with an extra 1 on the end have a side-effect of mounting a drive with the same name as the system already think exists. Try trashing the duplicates with a 1 or 2 if there are no real files in them, and reboot.

Sane finds scannet, but can't scan

I've installed sane and added myself to the scanner group.

What have I done wrong?

Got my scanner working several days ago: First whether check /etc/udev/rules.d/sane.rules vendor 08ff and product 2810. If not you should add it. Also in order for your scanner to work it must've come with several files. One is .conf file which goes in /etc/sane.d/ Add the name of that file (for example if the name was smft.conf add smft to /etc/sane.d/dll.conf) to /etc/sane.d/dll.conf.
Then go to /usr/lib/sane. Put there the driver which is for your scanner (In my case on my install cd there was a libsane-smfp.so.1.0.1) and make two symbolic links to it: In my case
su
cd /usr/lib/sane
ln -s libsane-smfp.so.1.0.1 libsane-smfp.so
ln -s libsane-smfp.so.1.0.1 libsane-smfp.so.1
After that your scanner should work. However if you don't have those files (the .conf and .so) And you can't find them over google (for your scanner) It is likely that your scanner is not supported by sane.

Iphone can detect the paired devices but can not connect

My iphone 5 can detect the paired devices but once I enter the pin code It will not connect.

I was wondering what the Renew Lease button did, that is why I never tried it before. I just tried it now and no luck. It still is not connecting. I have had this phone for almost a year now and this has never happened before.

Always had no problem syncing iPod but now when I connect to computer it says iTunes detects a device but can't verify properly. Nothing is appearing under devices or on right hand side it's not saying "privates iPod" anymore to drag songs to.? Help

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.
- See if another computer sees the iPod in iTunes
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

ITunes 11 adding songs to Library which don't show up but can be found by Searching - but can't be player

Hello,
I got a little problem here...
My iTunes 11 won't show the titles of a new album i tried to import!
I imported them the normal way, after this i recognized there was a problem, i had the album two times. I tried to fix it by changing the album name on every track again... It didn' work so I removed the tracks from my Library... then I wanted to reimport them, but... they just didn't come up...
I looked for them and found them in my Media folder. I deleted them there again and tried to import again... Nothing... they just won't appear in iTunes but are always present in the Media folder!
I can also search for the band in iTunes and can find it, but if i press play (also if the songs can be found in the Media folder) it won't do that... it just doesn't show them, i can't remove them from my Library and can't play them!
Does anyone have a solution for a problem like this?
Sorry If my english is bad at the moment, but i'm very tired and the day wasn't funny at all...
