Non-deliverable Forward - 1031 Cash settlement flow is empty

Hello, please help me with non-deliverable forward.
I've got forward product type with settlement indicator = Non-deliverable forward.
Next flow types are assigned to it (flow types have default settings):
1000    Buy foreign exchange    Principal Increase
1031    Cash settlement    Cash Settlement
2000    Sell foreign exchange    Principal Increase
When I create Forward transaction with next conditions:
System generates cash flows, but flow 1031 have zero value;
What should I need to do to have flow 1031 = 1 750 000 RUB ??

Hello Juerg!
If I don't mistake you described steps for the case then Product Type have Settlement indicator = 'Cash settlement' in customizing.
In this case we have 'Cash settlement' button on the 'Structure' page of FTR_EDIT.
In this case system works OK, and '1031    Cash settlement' flow is calculated correctly.
But my case is then Product Type have Settlement indicator = 'Non-deliverable forward' in customizing
In that case we don't have 'Cash settlement' button on the 'Structure' page of FTR_EDIT.
Instead of it we can choose which currency we need to settle in.
In that case '1031    Cash settlement' flow is empty as wrote previously.
So the problem is still actual

  • Implementing Non deliverable Forward

    Dear SAP Experts,
We are implementing a non deliverable forward. I created a new product type T6C with Non deliverable forward as Settlement Indicator.
    I assigned the flow types
1000    Buy foreign exchange    Principal Increase
    1031    Cash settlement    Cash Settlement
2000    Sell foreign exchange    Principal Increase
And the processing category 00120 (order - contract - fixing).
So basically as SAP propsoes for the set-up of the type of forex.
I create a trade in order status and everything goes fine, then i try to chnage the status over FTR_EDIT to contract; when I try to save i get the error "Cash settlement not found for transaction 171508, company code 1000".
An error I would more expect when doing the fixing; when checking my cash flows i see indeed my flow type FX1031 does not have any amount assigned.
    How can this be fixed?
A similar question was raised July/2014 but without answer (http://scn.sap.com/thread/3581848)
    kind regards,Stef

  • Implementing Non-Deliverable Forwards (NDF)

    Hi Experts,
Would just like to know if there is an available standard solution in SAP that can handle NDFs? TX01 or TX13 do not have available fields for other required details such as Fixing rate, Fixing date, and Settlement amount.
To give a brief background, NDF is for FX deals with a restricted currency where settlement is in USD since restricted curr (like CNY/IDR) cannot be used for settlement.
How will the settlement amount and currency be determined for NDFs? Please provide possible steps If need to customize..
    Thanks,
    David

    Hi,
A Non-Deliverable Forward has the same basic concept as a normal Forward. The main differences are that --
    1) An NDF deals with buying or selling a RESTRICTED CURRENCY (such as CNY or IDR), so the settlement currency is always in USD.
    2) The forward rate is checked against a FIXING RATE 2 days before value date which causes FX Gain/Loss and the gain/loss is the only amount settled between counterparties in USD currency.
Creating the NDF contract is the same procedure where you have the amount you want to buy/sell with a specific spot and swap rate and value date.. but for NDF's, during settlement with the bank, there should be a FIXING RATE that determines the SETTLEMENT AMOUNT/CURR. This fixing occurs 2 days before the value date.
So far, the solution that I have come up with is to have a process where a SPOT netting transaction will offset against the original NDF contract via a SWAP TX10, therefore canceling the original posting and creating a difference due to the fixing rate used. This will give the SETTLEMENT AMOUNT in USD.
Using SWAP TX10 will allow to create a FWD and a SPOT txn. The original contract postings are offset by the SPOT and system creates a new contract with a USD amount different than your original FWD contract.
    i.e.
    Forward contract:
    Buy CNY 6800 / Sell USD 1000
    rate - 6,8000000
    spot rate - 6,7000000
    swap rate - 0,1000000
    Spot:
Sell CNY 6800 / Buy USD
    Spot (fixing) rate: 6,70000
    USD amount automatically calculated
I'm unsure if this process can be handled by standard programs/transactions in SAP.. I actually tried testing this via TX10 already after creating new transaction types and it gives me the error message below:
"Update types are not defined in Customizing for the open-flow" --> procedure is to check if an update type for the open-flow is defined in the case of product type 'A' and transaction type 'Z'. What is the IMG path to define an update type for an OPEN FLOW?
If NDF is still not clear, I would be very happy to explain further.
Thanks, and hope that you can help!
    Regards,
    David

  • Forward Contracts Rollover and Cash Settlement

    Hi,
We have done a forward contract USD - INR at 50.00 and then done the rollover at new rate 52.00. In the rollover transaction which was done at the rate 52.00, we also need to do the cash settlement of the original booking transaction as the original transaction is logically cancelled and the new transaction is booked.
The cash settlement is done at say  49.00. In this case the cash settlement amount should be (50.00 - 49.00) where as the system is calcuating the cash settlement amount as (52.00 - 49.00)
Should I use the cash settlement functionality of the booking transaction. Please suggest.
An help in this regard will be sincerely appreciated.
    Warm regards,
    Akhil Poddar

    Hi,
You are going for cash settlement, it means you are now cancelling the old transaction. The system is giving 52-49 because you have rollove the transaction it means you have exceed the maturity time of the contract, it means now your exchange rate changed to 52 from 50, the differenc is captured here and when you have passed cash settlemented with 49, system compare it with 52 a new rate.when you see the GL after passing all the entries you will find the result is  50-49 only.
If you want one to one relation, pass cash settlement and create new transaction,
    Regards

  • How to delete cash settlement in forward contract?

I am facing an in treasury module for forward contracts, earlier I had  filled data in cash settlement tab in tx02, not release or posted, now I donu2019t want to do cash settlement but I am able to delete data in cash settlement tab in tx02 but it gives some error while saving , basically its not allowing me to delete all data in cash settlement tab  and save.
Any pointers on how to resolve this problem will be appreciated.

    Hi
If you want to de activate the cash settlement process for this product type then below is the menu path to de activate the.
In IMG -- TRTM -- Transaction Manager -- Foreign Exchange -- Transaction Management -- Define Product types.
Here specify the type of settlement as physical.

    Hi  Experts,
How to get a report from BSEG and SKA1 tables based on refrence key and g/L account.
the user asked a report cash in flow and cash out flow report by joining these two tables.
Pls suggest how to achive this?
    thanks,
    Anand Reddy

    Hi Reddy,
0GL_ACCOUNT_ATTR is the datasource for table SKA1.
0FI_GL_14 is the data source related to table BSEG.
create an infoset or MP on top of these two and build the report.

  • De activating the CASH Settlements for FX deals.

    Hi
Can any one please let us knwo how can i de activate the cahs settlements option for FX deals.
    Regards
    karunakar

    Hi Karunakar,
The contract, here is the forex deal.  Suppose the deal is for purchase of 100 USD/INR at a strike price of 50.  It means you buy 100 USD and sell 5000 INR on the day of delivery.  When this money in both currencies are transferred then it is physical delivery.
Instead, on the day of delivery, the exchange rate for USD/INR is 52.  Your contract is for 50.  Hence you gain 2 INR for every USD.  Hence your total gain is 200 INR. If the gain amount alone is transferred i.e. only 200 INR is transferred to you from the counter party, it is cash deal.  Only the gain/loss is transferred and the actual physical delivery does not take place.
Generally cash settlement is what happens in most of the cases.
    Regards,
    Ravi

  • Forwarding agent payment settlement

    Hi Experts,
Scenario:  A delivery to a sales order is shipped through a forwarding agent(vendor).
    Example
    A = Company
    B= Forwarding agent(Transporters)
    C= Customer
Customer places the order with the company for 1 ton bags of cement. For shipping the cement Company takes the service of Forwarding agent(Transporters) to ship the bags to the customer .
Company  invoice the customer and pays the freight to transporters.
As there is no shipment activated in the scenario
    What I have done
    1)      I have created a partner function as Forwarding Agent in the customer master
    2)      And the sales cycle is running fine (Sales order-Delivery-Billing) partner function as Forwarding Agent flowing correctly
My question is how I will settle the forwarding agents payment of freight? (Which transaction codes involved)
Is it possible to settle the forwarding agent without activating the shipment and Transportation??
Need your help in this scenario
    Regards,
    Munirathnam Reddy

    Hi,
As understand from your question, you donesnt want to add the freight value in net value in billing but at the same is required to post accounts also.  In those cases create the freight conditon type as accrual condition type, at the time of billing this value not add in the net value but this value will post to the accounts.  This value creates provisional liability  in the books and based on this value company pay the amoount to vendor.
    Rewareds if it helps

  • ON PREM Outbound emails showing in dummy non-configured office 365 account message flow trace

    Dear Community,
We have an on-prem exchange 2013 server and an office 365 account which is completly standalone.
Whilst the office 365 account is standalone, it does feature the email address we use for on-prem (Ie. the domain name in office 365 account is not active for any office 365 services however has passed ownership verification thus it's just sitting there)
We DON'T use EOP nor do we have any connector rules on our on-prem system that go to office 365 however when I randomly went into the 'Message Flow Trace' section in our office 365 account, there is recorded outbound mail which was sent from our On-prem
    server.
The ONLY mail that was recorded in the message Trace in Office 365 was emails we had sent from On-prem to other office 365 accounts (For example btconnect.com, and some of our clients whom also use office 365) .
How is office 365 picking up mail we've sent from our On-Prem server? Is there integration out of the box in exchange 2013 which auto interfaces with office 365? What on earth has happened here?
    I'm really confused.

MX records are not set to office 365, the MX is pointing directly to the on-prem exchange server.
The problem is; Office 365 Mail Delivery Trace is displaying mail we've sent via our On-Prem server - We are having trouble understanding why this is happening.
To clarify, the message tracer in Office 365 is displaying outbound mail (Which for example, a user has sent out from their outlook) BUT only outbound mail which is being sent to other office 365 users.
We do not have mail on office 365, only on-premise hence the reason why we are flabbergasted to why the mail we are sending out would be displaying on the office 365 message tracer.
To further clarify, we are only seeing addresses in the office 365 message trace which belong to recipients whom use office 365 for their mail.
    Hope this makes sense.
getting messy O365 users to another O365 you mean?
You mentioned if they send email using their MS Outlook Client.
I'd suggest you to send another email to the same recipient but using OWA
There may have been an office 365 connector in Outlook.
