Normal html inside a h:panel
Hi
Have a hidden datatable component which is displayed when a link is clicked. Along with this component I want some html.
<h:panelGrid rendered="#{render}">
<div id="box-50">
<ul id="sub-heading">
<li><h2>Advanced search</h2></li>
</ul>
etc..
The HTML is ignored...is this possible?
When you want to put plain HTML in a f:view or f:subview, then you have to put it in between f:verbatim tags. Otherwise those will be rendered outside of the JSF component root.
So do:<f:verbatim>
<div id="box-50">
<ul id="sub-heading">
<li><h2>Advanced search</h2></li>
</ul>
</f:verbatim>

Open an html file inside spry collapsible panel
Greetings,
Using CS5
Does anyone know the CSS code/possibility of opening an html file inside the Spry panel?
I've tried the following code:
.CollapsiblePanelContent {
background-image: url(lookoutgraph.html);
Is there a better CSS element for calling up an html file?
For what it's worth...the html file I'm tring to open uses a <canvas> tag. When opened by itself, the html file has no problem opening and displaying the canvas data.
Much Thanks!With the exeption of images, to add external content to a document you will need to make use of either serverside or clientside code.
Have a look at the SpryHTMLPanel here http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/spry/samples/htmlpanel/html_panel_sample.html
Otherwise, please supply a link to your site so that we can come up with alternatives.

Dashed rule between menu items nested inside an accordion panel widget in Muse?
I have a vertical menu widget nested inside an accordion panel widget and I want a dashed rule under each menu item. I already know I can have a solid rule by assigning a stroke to just the bottom of each menu item container.
I manually created dashed rules by "step and repeating" a 1px black square followed by 2px of space to a 380px width. I positioned these dashed rules under each menu item and grouped them with the menu. Then I placed the menu widget with the dashed rules into the content container for the accordion panel. The menu expands and collapses in the Preview mode but the dashed rules don't show up.
Muse CC 2014, iMac OS10.9The link again is I forgot to add http to the link before, but it should have worked.
http://www.lipowiec.org/test/index.php
a) used Dreamweaver to create new site selected 1 column, elastic, centered, header, and footer
b) used spry to add horizontal menu to header
c) followed instructions from Spry Help
http://livedocs.adobe.com/en_US/Spry/SDG/index.html?lang=en_US ->
working with spry widgets -> working with the menu bar widget -> Customize the dimension of menu items as indicated
To change the dimension of menu items by changing the width properties of the menu item’s li and ul tags.
Locate the ul.MenuBarVertical li or ul.MenuBarHorizontal li rule.
Change the width property to a desired width, or change the property to auto to remove a fixed width, and add the property and value white-space: nowrap; to the rule.
Locate the ul.MenuBarVertical ul or ul.MenuBarHorizontal ul rule.
Change the width property to a desired width (or change the property to auto to remove a fixed width).
Locate the ul.MenuBarVertical ul li or ul.MenuBarHorizontal ul li rule.
Add the following properties to the rule: float: none; and background-color: transparent;.
Delete the width: 8.2em; property and value.
Under IE it's broken, under the other browsers it works.
There need to be more IE HACKS added. -
Form submit inside an accordion panel
Hi,
i have a form inside an accordion panel content. i would like
the submitted data to hit a php script for processing and then
refresh the accordion panel content with new data without
refreshing the page. This is the AJAX model and i was wondering if
it was possible with spry.
Thanks,
DhimiterHi,
we have a function called updateContent that allows you to
change the initial data content for a html element.
You can add this function at onclick event to change the data
from the accordion panel with the new processed data.
To see an example of how this function works, please look at
this
sample
Hope this helps you,

Controlling hidden qt audio with a normal html link.
Hello:
I'm trying to achieve the following functionality on a normal web page: there is a normal html text link. clicking it starts a hidden quicktime audio player. there is no change on screen (i.e. no navigation occurs, and no player is ever visible). Clicking the same link plays the sound again from the beginning.
Has anyone ever made a page like this?
Do you have sample code?
Is it necessary to use javascripting to pull this off?
thank very much

Controlling VI from inside the Sub-Panel
I have a prog which is used as the Main prog and has a sub-panel in it,whenever an event is occured iam popping up an VI,which should be inside the sub-panel,when i press the stop button which is inside the sub-panel,the vi should stop
And what is the problem....?;-)
Sub-Panels just show the front panel of the VI you choose to show. When the event that should show a certain VI fires just make your code so that it will run the VI in question...and then set the sub-panel to show that VI. In the VI you need a button and code that will make the VI run until the button is clicked.
That's it.
Now you may the VI or multiple VIs to run in parallell, or you may want to send a stop message to the main VI from the VI in the sub-panel when the button is hit...For the first problem, call the VIs using an invoke node and the wait until finished set to false. For the latter problem use e.g. a functional global, que, event, occurance or a notifier.
If there's a patricular part of this design that you h
ave a problem with, let us know. If you can upload example VIs we can edit to show the behaviour you need, include those.

How much HTML can be inside a JSP Tag? I created a tag which set few variables. Now on the JSP page, if the variable A is not null, then only display value and show a link next to it.
So is it OK, if I take the link html (href code) and concatenate with the vale of A

</ed:TableIterator>Loads :)
This is a small sample, building the rows of a table with 3 columns (a checkbox, an inputfield and a textarea) for each row.
I've built larger structures where I nest the same tags to create select controls in each row.
I wouldn't actually create HTML inside the java class for the tag, as that violates the separation of code and presentation (that's not to say I haven't done it, but I've learned better since <GRIN> and now try to avoid it where possible and minimise it where not). -
I have been working around using java formatting for some time now by using HTML inside of my Swing objects. I had a couple of questions about this practice.
Is it worth it? and if not, what should I do instead.
Why dont link statements work inside of the text. <a href.....
Is there a good resource for java formatting?
I could easily start learning XML, would this be any better?
Thanks for the advice.
LeonThough the HTML form and the swing page appear similar their functions are rather different. The business of the HTML page is just to display information, and maybe send a few selected fields back. More often just to switch to another page when it's been read.
The GUI window is much more interactive, with every element potentially communicating with the program on an individual basis.
So the tools are bound to be different. If you want to write pages that can be displayed either way and hide the differences as much as possible you should look at Java Faces.
Links can't work the same way because the meaning of a link on a browser is tied up in what the browser does. The GUI application isn't in the business of displaying another HTML page based on a URL (if it was, it would be a browser). -
Anchor tag inside Spry Tabbed Panel Content
I have successful been able to use code I found listed on
here to open a specific tab in a Spry Tabbed Panel form a link. Now
I am wondering if anyone has found out how to add an anchor tag
code this so that is goes to a specific location inside that Tabbed
Panel Content?I was looking for an answer on how to open a tab from another tab and found it!
In return I'll give you a hint on how to open a tab from another tab using an anchor
for example,
if you were working on a file named "projects.php"
create an anchor in tab 2
<a name="anchor1" id="anchor1"></a>come next to me
in tab 1 create the link to the anchor in tab 2
<a href="projects.php#anchor1" onclick="TabbedPanels1.showPanel(1); return false;">open tab 2 and go to its anchor 1</a>
In your case you are overlooking the file name and jumping directly to the anchor name.....am I right??

How can a PowerPoint presentation be shown inside the front panel of a given application ?
I´m developing a application and I thought it would be a great idea if I could somehow show a PowerPoint presentation inside its front panel. Can it be done using LabVIEW active x vis or can´t it be done at all ?
Thanks in advance !!Like I said, I tried that option (and even got it work somehow, by connecting nodes from other places and using type casts), but I don't think it can manage that in a real app.
After thinking about this some more, I've come to an unlikable conclusion - it's possible that there is no AX control for PP. Not for animation, anyway. If I remember correctly, when you open a PP presentation in Internet Explorer, you see the slides, but not the animation. If an AX control would exist, I'm sure IE would use it, which is why I think there probably isn't one.
You can get a presentation into an AX container very easily by choosing the third option (open from file). Then, if you select a PP presentation, it will open in the container. However, if I remember correctly, you have no properties and methods to control it, and I don't think it will show the animation, so it's a bit useless.
Maybe someone does know of a way...

RoboHelp HTML Version 10 - Navigation panel not displaying in published project
We are generating a WebHelp project in RoboHelp HTML Version 10 and the navigation panel (TOC, Search, etc.) is no longer visible in the index file (viewed locally) and it's only visible by clicking "Show" when viewed in a web server. This issue is occurring with Internet Explorer 11 and Google Chrome Version 39.0.2171.99 m. I also tried to view the index files of previously generated projects and am experiencing the same issue (this did not occur before). Is this a known issue? It appears that there a few other discussions posted recently experiencing similar issues. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
NikkiHi there
Sorry, but I'm a bit confused. What you are describing sounds like perfectly normal behavior.
Can you share a link where this is happening? Not so we can click it, but so we can see what the link looks like.
If you want a topic to open with the surrounding navigation (TOC, Index, Search, Glossary) you need to click the Show link, then look at what's in the Address bar. Copy that link and you should have what you need.

<p><br />
<br />
</p>
<p>Homeopathy is a wonderful system of natural medicine which is safe, non-toxic and effective. It is so safe that expectant mothers and newborn babies can use it, except for a few specific remedies. </p>
<p>A homeopathic remedy contains a very minutely diluted dose of the original medicinal ingredient, and that is why it is so safe. The higher potencies of a remedy do not even have any of the original substance in them, only the memory or energy from it. The purpose of a homeopathic remedy is to give specific information to the body. Then, the body can use this information to heal and repair.</p>
<p>A homeopathic remedy can be selected <em>according to the symptoms</em>. It can also be selected <em>according to the patient’s constitution</em>, which considers many factors about an individual. </p>
<p>Food preferences, general features, personality and temperament, such as whether he wants to be left alone or comforted when he does not feel well, what makes his symptoms better and what makes them worse, even a person’s fears, are considered, because they are all part of who that unique individual is. A person’s constitutional remedy will help him with a lot of different symptoms, because it was selected especially for him.</p>
<p>I would not want to be without homeopathic remedies. You can take them as required, without worrying about side effects. They can make your life so much more comfortable. They can be used to stimulate your immune system, so that, eventually, you do not require them as often, if at all. For example, during allergy season, people can get a lot of relief from homeopathic formulas for allergies.<br clear="all" />
</p>
<p>Homeopathic medicine can also help with mental and emotional symptoms, not only physical problems. For example, homeopathic remedies can be helpful for those who are anxious, depressed or even grieving. <br />

It can be used to help determine problem areas in the body, which may have been acquired genetically. It can also be used to identify areas of congestion and environmental toxins that have accumulated in the body since birth, such as liver or kidney toxins. </p>
<p>For instance, one of my clients was having continual problems with a sluggish bowel, which was not improving in spite of my health recommendations for her colon. When I did an iridology assessment for her, though, I discovered that the problem was originating in the small intestine. I adjusted her health program accordingly, and she did much better after that!<br />

<p><br />
<br />
Absolutely! It can be very valuable for prevention! Let’s say that you are in a canoe, enjoying a relaxing, peaceful ride down a calm, scenic river on a beautiful summer day. Meanwhile, I am riding in an airplane, just above the same river, and I can spot you in your canoe. </p>
<p>However, I can also see that, around the next bend, there is a set of swirling rapids and a very steep, dangerous waterfall. </p>
<p>You have no idea of what you are headed for, but I can warn you. Fortunately, since we both have cell phones, I can call you immediately, to warn you of the imminent danger. You can decide then to pull onto the shore, and check out the rapids before deciding whether or not to proceed. Or you can decide to turn the canoe around, and head back the other way. You can also choose to ignore me, of course, but, no matter what you choose, you will have been warned!</p>
<p>In Iridology, for instance, if I see that a person has a congested or toxic bowel, I can advise him to do a colon cleanse. <a href="PDf/EYE SPY.pdf" target="_new">More information</a><br />

<p><br />
<br />
<br />
That’s certainly part of what makes my approach so effective! I can use Iridology to help pinpoint the specific problems. Homeopathy and nutrition can be used as assessment tools as well. It’s like having more than one tool in your tool kit. The more professional tools one has, the better. </p>
<p>This allows me to create an individualized health plan that incorporates different resources, including nutritional supplements, essential oils, gemmotherapy formulas and homeopathic remedies, as required. It is ideal to support the body on 3 different levels - at the nutritional level, at the cellular level, and at the energetic level.</p>

<p><strong><img src="images/arrow.gif" alt="" width="30" height="23" hspace="8" />Can you give me an analogy to compare our health to?</strong></p>

<div class="CollapsiblePanelContent">
<p><br />
<br />
Sure! Think of your car. It won’t get you to your destination if you don’t have enough fuel to get there. And it can’t be polluted fuel or watered down fuel, because that’s just asking for trouble. Your fuel has to have the right octane rating. </p>
<p>Your body is like a car; it’s your go-mobile! If you don’t supply it with the right fuel (nutrition),you will lose your get-up-and-go! When you nourish your body properly, you will naturally tend to have more energy. </p>
<p>Even so, you can fuel up your car with good quality fuel, but if the fuel pump needs repair, then it’s still not going to work properly for you. If you have a body part that needs repair, homeopathy can help. </p>
<p>We also give our cars an oil change on a regular basis. Similarly, we can cleanse, regularly, to clear out our organs, such as the liver, the kidneys, the skin and the intestines, of toxins that accumulate over time.</p>
<p>We can also use homeopathic formulas to clean out the receptors of the cells in our bodies, which is where toxic residues can accumulate. Then, our go-mobiles can run more efficiently! </p>
<p>There is one difference, though. We can trade in our car, when it gets old and worn out. But, we cannot trade in our bodies! We get one only, and it needs to last us a lifetime! So we need to take care of it the best we can! <br />

<td><h5><em>...My acquaintance with Dr. Gail Smolinski happened in two ways. First, through her bi-weekly news column, "An Ounce of Prevention" in the News Review Extra: giving information on healthful living and explaining how our amazing bodies work. Dr. Gail's smiling photo also introduced her to me.
My by-mail purchase of a flu kit from Dr. Gail protected me from contracting any of the flu bugs making the rounds this winter. Thanks, Dr. Gail! <br />
My second acquaintance with Dr. Gail was a visit to her natural health clinic for treatments. Her smile is sunny and real! She introduced me to homeopathic remedies and the impressive Quantum Biofeedback machine. Dr. Gail is a very encouraging caregiver. I am very pleased to have much-improved Health and I've also gained a new friend! </em></h5>

<h5><em>Before I went to Dr. Gail Smolinski, I could not work, go shopping or do things with my family. But I got mad and took control of the IBS!</em></h5>
<h5><em>I called Dr. Gail Smolinski, DNM. We sat down and we talked about how I felt. She gave me some natural medicine. I have been on this for about 5 months.</em></h5>
