NoSuchMethod when deploying Queue2Topic sample process in 10.1.2.0.2

I have deployed this tutorial process before on another 10.1.2.0.2 system with no problems. However, on this particular BPEL PM, the deployment works fine but errors appear in the domain.log as it tries to activate the JCA agent. The error is as follows:

If I manually execute the Queue2Topic process from the BPELConsole, the writing to the topic faults with the following exception:

I have other JMS Listeners and they also the same error in the domain.log.
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
David

I think what I tested earlier was not exactly what you described.  Also, I discussed this with Development and they reminded me that the right mouse click action will not fire the WHEN-MOUSE-CLICK trigger if you have a pop-up menu attached to the item.
Development has corrected this problem.  Because version 10 is no longer entitled to Error Correction, we will not provide a fix for that version.  However, if you have a Support account, you can request a fix for the current versions which are 11.1.1.7 and 11.1.2.1.  Contact Support for more information. Be sure to provide the bug number I mentioned previously.
For anyone unaware, the feature would most often be used in a WHEN-MOUSE-CLICK trigger with code that looks something like this:
DECLARE
button_pressed VARCHAR(2);
BEGIN
button_pressed := :System.Mouse_Button_Pressed;
IF button_pressed = '1' THEN
message ('Button 1 pressed.');
ELSIF button_pressed = '2' THEN
message ('Button 2 pressed.');
ELSE
message ('Button 3 pressed.');
END IF;
END;

  • Error deploying SOAOrderBooking BPEL Process through Ant

    Hello,
    I following Oracle SOA Quick Start Guide (Part # B28938-01) to setup Demo SOA Application.
    I followed the document Chapter 2 and installed SOA Suite with "Basic Install" and JDeveloper 10.1.3.1.0.
    When deploying SOAOrderBooking BPEL Process as mentioned in Page 2-11 Step # 7, I get following error
    [bpelc] Error while loading schemas from wsdl file at location "http://localhost:8888/orabpel/default/SelectManufacturer/1.0/SelectManufacturer?wsdl". The reason is Unable to create an InitialContext..
    I tried enabling verbose in bpelc command in build.xml file and stack trace indicate java.lang.ClassNotFoundException for oracle.javatools.jndi.LocalInitialContextFactory class.
    I'm trying to setup the demo as Proof-of-concept for one of my projects. So any help in resolving this issue will be greatly appreciated. I've include the full log file for reference.
    Thanks,
    Sankaran.

  • NPE occurs when deploying suitecase dependent on WSIF / EJB

    I am getting a NullPointerException when deploying a BPEL process that depends on an EJB accessed via a WSIF definition. Both the ejb and the suitcase are deployed onto the same oc4j instance, and i have tested the ejb from a standalone client to ensure that it is operational, but i get the exception noted below. I can only assume that there may be something wrong with the WSIF definition, but I have checked it numerous times to make sure that it accurately reflects the ejb definition. Can you give me some hints as to some things to check that could possibly cause this error? From the stack trace, it seems that it is ejb related, but i guess i could be wrong:

  • BPEL processes not available on BPEL console when deployed from JDeveloper

    Installation: SOA Suite 10.1.3.4 (Upgraded through patch) (Standalone OC4J)
    When I deploy the BPEL processes through JDeveloper, they do not show up in the BPEL console. JDeveloper does not display any error message but in fact displays successful deploy. I am able to manually deploy processes from the BPEL console itself or by dropping in the BPEL suitcase in the deploy directory.
    I noticed this issue when I tried installing AIA foundation pack 2.4. The installation showed the message below -
    Failed to read wsdl at "http://AMVAIDYA-US:8888/orabpel/default/AIAErrorTaskAdministrationProcess/AIAErrorTaskAdministrationProcess?wsdl", because "Failed to read WSDL from http://AMVAIDYA-US:8888/orabpel/default/AIAErrorTaskAdministrationProcess/AIAErrorTaskAdministrationProcess?wsdl:WSDL not found".
    Make sure wsdl is valid. You may need to start the OraBPEL server, or make sure the related bpel process is deployed correctly.
    [Potential fix]: If your site has a proxy server, then you may need to configure your BPEL Server, designer and browser with your proxy server configuration settings (see tech note on http://otn.oracle.com/bpel for instructions).
    I noticed that issue is independent of AIA since I cannot deploy any BPEL process through JDeveloper (or even through using the ant deploy in JDev)
    Please help!
    Thanks
    Amol

    I did try the verbose=true option but there are no errors there. The ant deploy task shows up as successful just like it shows from the right click -> Deploy to domain on the BPEL project. I created a sample async BPEL for this - it has just one assign activity with some dummy values for output. It builds fine. If I deploy the jar file created from this manually in the console it works. But it doesnt work from JDev or Ant. Is there anything I missed during the upgrade patch from 10.1.3.1 to 10.1.3.4? I did execute all the post and pre install tasks (including the orabpel, oraesb schema updates etc)
    FYI, I can register an ESB from JDeveloper and it shows up in the ESB console.

    That error means you don't have rights to the Mailbox your trying to access. In Exchange by default the only user that has access to mailbox is the owner of the Mailbox, Exchange Administration rights does not grant you access to another users mailbox. You
    need to either specifically grant rights to each mailbox using Add-MailboxPermissions or use EWS impersonation where you can impersonate the owner of the Mailbox see

    Any ideas?

    This is a known bug from 10.2 and 11.1 that looks to have not been fixed by Oracle.
    If you inspect the metadata tables in OWBSYS you will see the transitions existing from your source env but ones missing in the target env.
    The issue arises when you remove and add transitions out of order in the source process flow (original in DEV), and why wouldn't you, especially if you have decided to add a new mapping.
    I can't believe this bug still exists and in terms of a work around, delete all transitions in the source and re-point in order and that should make it fine for export and import into test, prod etc. You don't have to delete the operators, obviously if a mapping name changes delete the old one and pop the new one in.
    Sorry I can't be more helpful, my current client has dropped process flows because of this.

  • Error targeting server for the EJB module while deploying the sample banking application

    I am currently having a very difficult time attempting to deploy the

    The deployment process invokes javac internally to compile some generated classes.
    Do you have javac installed and in the path?

  • JNLPDownload servlet issue when deployed in iPlanet server

    Hi all,
    I am doing a POC to check how JWS works to launch an applet on a workstation having two different JRE versions (14.2_06 and 1.6.0_01 installed in lower to higher version order)
    I deployed the sample application files in iPlanet server 6.0. In the JNLP file, under resources tag, I included a jar file with some version. However JWS is failing to download the file, with an exception (as seen from JNLP servle log file)
    JnlpDownloadServlet(4): JnlpResource: JnlpResource[WAR Path: /lib/SampleApplet__V1.1.jar versionId=1.1 name=SampleApplet.jar lastModified=Thu Jan 01 05:30:00 GMT+05:30 1970] returnVersionId=1.1]
    JnlpDownloadServlet(3): Resource returned: /lib/SampleApplet__V1.1.jar

    The same application when deployed in tomcat server 4.1.32 is working fine.
    All the jar file is available in the correct location and I have verified it. After some investigation with JNLP servlet source code, I found that iplanet 6.0 is throwing nullpointer excepton due to null return from following line from com.sun.javaws.servlet.JNLPResource.java file.
    _resource = context.getResource(path); // here context is ServletContext and path input is relative path.
    Has any one come across this problem in iplanet server? Does getResourcePath always return null in iPlanet server?
    I don't want to change code in jnlp-servlet.jar, and it's the best case. Your inputs on this are appreciated.
    Thanks & Regards,

    Below is our reuirment.
    1. We will route the request based on urlprefix, these url prefix can be added and removed at runtime. We want to handle this situation automatically(not by obj conf changes). Also we will chnage the destination of request.
    2. We want insert string in the url for our internal purpose.
    So we opted for plugin.
    BTW: I built the plugin for 32-bit environment.

    HI,
    I have tried to download and install the server in my system. I am able to deploy a sample application using autodeploy utility.
    But when i tried to package a new sample application and deploy i am getting 404 error. For application server i have used 7070 port and not the default 8080 port will this a problem to package & deploy sample application provided with this software.

    Btw, verify that the url you are trying to access is correct. For instance, assuming you deploy app. without --contextroot option. By default,  the url is http://<host>:<port>/<web module name>/<value of url-pattern in web.xml> if your app contains servlet. If your app has jsp then it's http://<host>:<port>/<web module name>/<value of url-pattern in web.xml>/<name of jsp>

    Hi,
    If you are going to be using EPMA the first thing to do is to make sure you have installed all the patches for EPMA and Planning.
    They are available from [metalink3|https://metalink3.oracle.com/od/faces/index.jspx] , planning is at patch 9.3.1.1.10 and EPMA has around 5 patches.
    Cheers

    Yes, the problem is that the ejb-jar must contain at least one ejb component. It's a common misconception that Java Persistence API Entity classes are ejb components but they are NOT. The Java Persistence API was developed within the EJB 3.0 JSR and works very well with EJB but the entity classes themselves are not full-fledged ejb components.
