Not able to create XML from an existing relational database

Hi,
I am trying to create and xml from an existing relational database. I am not able to get any XML data, I receive "XMLTYPE()" as the result.
Here's the query -
SQL> select o.order_id, XMLELEMENT("order", XMLATTRIBUTES(o.order_id as ID)) AS "result" from order_
info o where order_id=2793;
ORDER_ID
result()
+2793+
XMLTYPE()
I was expecting to get +<order id=2793 />+ instead of XMLTYPE().
I am using -
SQLPlus: Release 9.0.1.0.1*
Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.1.0 - 64bit Production
I have also run some checks to confirm XML DB installation -
SQL> select 1 from all_users where username = 'XDB';

SQL> desc RESOURCE_VIEW;

I think, I have something wrong with installation or configuration.
Any idea about what have I done wrong here?

Users are not able to create POs from PRs having Production Order (F) as creation indicator.
Whenever we are trying to convert the PR to PO we are getting the error message "Requisition has different doc. type NB and item cat. >&<" based on the below OSS# 938154 condition for the creation indicator type F.
Would you please investigate and advise what OSS notes are required to be able to use item category L (subcontracting) on a PO for a requisition generated from a network activity via Procurement Type = "Preliminary requisition for WBS element".

Whenever we are trying to convert the PR to PO we are getting the error message "Requisition has different doc. type NB and item cat. >&<" based on the below OSS# 938154 condition for the creation indicator type Production order (F).
Our Business requirement as shown below.
1).The problem - we currently have no way to "direct requisition" an item to be procured via subcontracting - only itu2019s possible via MRP.
2).These behaviors are inconsistent as the requisition process should not impact the procurement process. Can we find a way to influence the creation indicator on the requisition so that it does not appear as a production order?
Please suggest any alternate method for achieving this.

Not able to genrate xml from rdf if formula column is returning 6000chrs

Hi All,
can anybody help me in this matter.
I am using report 6i to devlop report then registered it to apps with a rtf template and in that report there is a formula column and used to return text more than 10000 chars. but if there is more than 6000 chars are returning from this formula column is not not able to genrate xml.

Not able to create Lead from IC agent role

Hi Experts,
I am finding an strange problem while creating lead.I am uisng CRM2007.
I am able to create Lead with Business Role as Marketing Professional, but not able to create the Lead with IC agent buisness role. I had created a new Transaction type for this. WE have given the full authorization to the PFCG role attached to this business role but still i am not able to create.
Its giving an error Message '' No Transaction Type Available ''
Please suggest what i am missing in the configuration.

Goto SPRO CRM->transaction>basic settings>define transaction types.
Select the transaction type that you are using for lead and in "channel" entires select interaction center webclient.this will allow you to create the lead in interaction center webclient.

Hi,
Have you done relevant configuration for your transaction type in Business Transaction Profile. If not, you need to include your Lead Transaction type in the Business Transaction Profile that is assigned to your Business Role.
Path for Business Transaction Profile
CRM -> Interaction Center WebClient -> Business Transaction -> Define Business Transaction Profile
Select your Business Transaction Profile (one assigned to your Business Role
Select "Dependent Business Transaction" and ensure that your Lead Transaction Type is assigned here.
I am sure this will help resolve this issue.

Not able to create GR from PO

Dear All,
We have a scenario with our client.
The user has created a Delivery from PO. Then he did GI. After which he created a new GR document wrt the same delivery through movement type 101.Then he canceled the GR using movement type 102. Now he wants to recreate the GR through movement type 101 but he is not able to do so.
He is receiving the message that PO has no items.
We tried to replicate the similar scenario in our test environment.
We are able to follow all the steps for one of the delivery we created but we failed to create GR for a delivery document after the GI. We are alos receiving the same message i.e PO has no items.
Please help us to solve this if you have any clue .

I think the scenario your are talking about is Stock Transfer where one plant A create a PO and material delivery is done from the other Plant B (with movement type 641)
When u are doing GR at Plant A then u have to give reference of outbound delivery number only which was created at Plant B.
Please check that you have all required authorizations and also your are selecting the correct Delivery number

Not able to create DIR from PR line Item

Dear Friends,
I have Cretaed Doc Type "CON" and entered "EBAN - Purchase Req. Item" in the object link and in Create Document I have mentioned " 1 - Create simple document".
When I try to create a DIR from PR Line Item, there is no option or a logo in the Popup where I can click and create DIR from The Object PR Line Item.
I get the create Document icon in WBS element for same document type.
Can anybody guide me the if I have missed any config.

I m not able to create xml file in Java Project

hi all,
I have created one java project just to try with Ant Builder. I have created one class inside it. and now i m creating an XML file inside that project.
But as soon as i try to create the File -> New -> File and give the .xml extention of the file this gives error into the project.
Will you suggest me the solution for that?

Assuming that you are facing this problem in NDS, here is the solution.
Go to Windows--> Preferences --> WorkBench -->File Associations
In the File Types list select *.xml
This will display the default associated XML editor as
XML Editor(default) in the bottom list box.
Click on add button near the bottom list box and select Text Editor, click Ok.You will see one more entry in the list box as "Text Editor".
Select this entry and click on the default button.
Click Ok and close the preferences dialogue.
Now create a new xml file.You wont see the error this time.
Please note that this will treat all simple xml files you will create as TEXT Files and always open with Text Editor.You can override this behaviour with right click on the file and select appropriate editor from the "Open With" context menu.
The error you are talking about is because the XML editor tries to check well-formedness and basic syntax rules for the file that you newly created, actually is a noce feature of the IDE.

I am trying to create a supplier from SRM 7.0 portal .I provided all the details and while I am saving I am getting an error
Enter the business partner number.
I gave LOCAL8 as partner number in company data basic data and in supplier data tab I am provinding vendor as LOCAL8.
While I am saving I am getting an error Enter the business partner number.
The supplier is also not getting saved in the system.

Please verify the following details - it may resolve your issue.
In transaction PPOMV_BBP under the attributes for your vendor group, please ensure attributes are adapted properly so that only one system is affected. (I mean only local system entry should be there).
Please check the customizing settings for the customizing path - SAP Supplier Relationship Management --> SRM Server --> Technical Basic Settings --> Settings for Supplier Synchronization
Especially the settings for "Information on Automatic Download from Marketplace" are important as the maintained value there are automatically taken into consideration for various transactions like BBPGETVD (Vendor replication) etc
For example:
Entry under Vendor Root column should be proper and without any spaces in between -u201CVGXXXXXXXXu201D
While creating the vendor, the normal system behaviour is that the content of field 'Central Organisational Object for Bidder' is determined automatically by the system. Please verify whether it is getting derived automatically.

Hi, you need to check the number ranges for the notifications and make sure they are correct. Look in the IMG of the SAP Solution Manager system for the instructions. You also need to make sure that the Service Desk BC Sets are activated if you are NOT on 4.0 and SP Stack 09+. In the later SPs much of this configuration from the IMG is automated in the wizard.

Not able to create a java class included in custom jar from script

We need to call a third-party web service from within SAP Sourcing and so we have created and deployed a custom JAR. However I am not able to create any of the custom classes included in this object. I have created a simple JAR file having just a "Hello World" message and got our BASIS team to deploy this (they deployed using the steps mentioned in Installation Guide Section 4.2.4 - we are using Sourcing Wave 9). I have added the required import statement in my test script and included this line:
HelloWorld test = new HelloWorld();
When this script executes, it gives the error:
Class:HelloWorld not found in namespace.
Can you please give your suggestions on how to fix this error?

Not Able to create ODBC Connections to AS400 DB2 from OWB 11g

Currently i am in the process of setting up of database connections to AS400 DB2 Database from Oracle Warehouse Builder 11g.
I installed Oracle 11.1.0.6.0 and upgraded to 11.1.0.7.0.
I am able to create database links manually but not able to create using oracle warehouse builder.
The error i am getting error
ORA-28500: connection from ORACLE to a non-Oracle system returned this message:

Inbound document not able to created from an outbound message EDI

Dear all,
Our inbound delivery was not able to create automatically during GI for an outbound delivery. Our inbound delivery is created via an EDI output type in the header of the outbound delivery as soon as the GI is posted.
All along, all the inbound docs are able to generate. However, for this particular outbound document, which has already GI, does not trigger the inbound document creation, and I notice that the output type message having a red light status in the message output.
When I checked the error processing log on this output message type (i.e. the red status), error message said
No goods receiving point for the combination of plant 1120 and stor.loc.
Message no. VL377
Diagnosis
No goods receiving point could be found for plant 1120 and storage location for the inbound delivery item. The delivery should still take place for the goods receiving point .
System Response
The system does not permit creation of and/or changes to the inbound delivery item.
Procedure for System Administration
Check your settings in Customizing for Determining the goods receiving point.
The funny thing is I check the SPRO setup (i.e. Assign Goods Receiving Points for Inbound Deliveries), and I notice that the goods receipt point has been assigned and configured. Further, other Delivery Order which is having the same data, does not generate such error in the message output, and the inbound is able to create.

This is a production thus, I don't want to save the inbound delivery, but it seem no problem of creating it, I will have the business create it.
So, how do i debug the idoc?
at first how do I find the idoc number of the failed transaction as when i go to the output message (i.e. in DO header) and check the processing log, system said..

Processing log for program /spe/sto_id_processing
no goods receiving point for the combination of plant 1120 and stor loc
no inbound delivery create for the replenishment order
There is IDOC no for this faild message (though GI is incurs)?

Not able to create J2EE user DDIC in portal

I am trying to configure the BI 7.0 system in EP 7.0. My systems are running on Windows 2003 32 bit edition. SP level is SPS11 & SP10
I have configured the UME where datasource is ABAP system. After using the supportdesk tool I am getting the below three erros in the system.
Import of Web Templates in active version will fail because the J2EE user DDIC is not properly mapped to an ABAP user other than DDIC Maintain a user mapping for J2EE user DDIC - see note 945055 for details

To resolve these issues i tried to create user id DDIC in portal but I am not able to create it. It is giving below error

As it is trying to create this user id in ABAP datasource. Please let me know how to create DDIC in J2EE engine where ABAP is the datasource.
