Not able to regenerate the package

Hi All,
I ahve done some changes in the package and i am regenerating the package. but when i am doing so its giving an error "your Interface has fatal error" but there is no error in the interface. But still i am able to click ok and then the final error generated is "java.lang.NullPointerException"
Please help

Can be simply you've dropped your connection to the work repos.
Try logging closing ODI studio and re-opening. Sadly you may have to disgard any changes unless it will let you save.

Hi,
I want to execute 5 packages using EXECUTE PACKAGE Task in FOR EACH LOOP Container. I followed the instructions as per the below link

When I execute the main package it is going to folder where i have that 5 packages and picking up the first one then it is not completing the package keep on executing the same.

Add a dummy execute sql task as first step inside loop and add a breakpoint to that for OnPreExecute event and check value of variable during each iteration to see if it gets value of each child package witin folder correctly.

Not able to run the SSIS package in SQL Server Agent Job in SQL 2012

I scheduled a job (SQL SERVER AGENT) which will call my SSIS package. This package will execute 5 packages in loop.
When I execute this job I am getting error as below

Type : SQL Server Integration Services Package
Run as: SQL Server Agent Service Account
Package Source: File System
What config I need to check here ? This job is not able to access the package stored in the folder.

Thanks for your reply. I had created credentials and used this while creating the Proxy account. With the Proxy account I am able to execute the Job Successfully. Concern here is I used my NT account to create this Proxy. Suppose If I left from the
current project if some one is coming to this project later they need to change the credential with their NT account and run the JOB? Is this right way or we an create any other account in common? If so how?

Repair your Apple software Update.
Go to START/ALL PROGRAMS/Apple Software Update. If it offers you a newer version of Apple Software Update, do it but Deselect any other software offered at the same time. Once done, try another iTunes install
If you don't find ASU in All programs, go to control panel/
XP- add n remove Programs/highlight ASU, CHANGE then REPAIR.
Vista or Win7 - Programs n features/highlight ASU and click REPAIR

Am not able to run the java program - pls help

1. I installed java in the below path
     c:\program files\java\jdk1.5.0
     c:\program files\java\jre1.5.0
I set the path in
     User variable i. variable name: path
          ii. variable value: c:\program files\java\jdk1.5.0\bin
when I compile it in command prompt-applying javac ? it performed successfully-shows
options like ?g create all debug info, -g : new Generate no debug info etc.,
But am not able to run the file. It shows error msg.
2. I specified the same name for file name & class name.
3. Java <class name>

Is the java class you compiled/calling in the default package? If it is not, you will have to call it by the fully qualified name.
e.g.
package com.mycompany.myproject;
public class MyClass {
    public static void main(String[] args) { }
}This would be called as "Java com.mycompany.myproject.MyClass" and must contain a main method with signature as above.
You would have to call this from folder where the compiled classes are located. If using package, you would call from directory at level of top most package so com folder in this example as Java will look at each package name in qualified name and try to traverse directories with those same names to get to .class file matching class name specified. To avoid this, your newly compiled .class files must also be in your classpath.

10/4-2014 - "GarageBand was not able to complete the download. Check your internet connection and try downloading again." Ver. 10.0.2.

I have downloaded GarageBand and when I first clicked to open it started dowloading a content package. But then in the middle of this it told me that my perfectly fast working internet connection was not availeble. See attached screenshot.
Does anybody know how to solve this?
I have tried deleting and downloading againg but same message appears.

Not able to debug the start routine

Dear All,
I am facing a weired situation.
I have a transformation(DSO -> Cube) with start routine. I am able to debug the routine in Development System.
I transported the routine to Production System successfuly, but i am not able to debug the start routine there. I have all the necessary authorisations(SAP_ALL, SAP_NEW)
I am perplexed. Never seen such issue before.
Can someone help me here?

Thanks for writing.
I followed the instruction, but it didn't work.
Can there be any technical reason for data package to be empty, even if the source has data(Note: There is no filter in DTP)?
Also, i just checked with other start routines...I am not able to debugg there also. System is not entering the debug mode.
Here, the patch level is: 0010. Can this be the villain?
Please advise.

Not able to see the TPZ files

I am facing a problem while transporting a request to Production environment. I am using File Level Transport. When I create a transport file, it is successfully created in development system's /export location. Basis team moves the file production system's /import directory.
But here I am not able to see the imported tpzfile via Tool->import design objects , in Production environment.

After a successful import, the Integration Builder moves the imported TPZ files into the directory <systemDir>/xi/repository_server/importedFiles. The support package stack of imported software component versions is displayed on the Details tab page for the relevant software component version in the Integration Builder. If an error occurs, this information is important for support. Take one of the following precautions to retain the overview of the imported XI content:
● If the release and the support package stack are clear from the file name of the TPZ file, simply leave the files in the directory importedFiles (see above).
If a file with the same file name already exists in the directory importedFiles, the Integration Builder adds the date and time of the import to the file name of the imported export file. This enables you to check which file was imported last.
● After a successful import, you can keep the packed files, from whose naming convention you can derive the support package stack. Move them into the directory importedFiles, for example.
If version conflicts occur during the import, you can process and resolve them in the Enterprise Services Builder. In the case of corrupt export objects, you can force the import and skip objects that cannot be imported. The import is then incomplete and references to objects that are not imported are lost.

Not able to find the HR Integrator Function in the Function

Dear All,
I am not able to find out the HR Integrator function in the Functions. Kindly do i need to do any setups or any other things to get this in place.

Please find the issue below.
- we wanted to create an HR Integrator for the Requisition and vacancy. For this we find the steps in the metalink. Please find the steps below.
When we are doing 5 th step we are not able to find the "HR Integrator" in the list of values. So we went and check the Menu there we find that HR Integrator function is not attached to the Menu. We tried to call that function but we are not finding that Function.
1.Check your IE and Excel/Word Settings.
2.Select the ‘Desktop Integration’ Responsibility
3.Click ‘Create Document’ function
4.Uncheck the Reporting Checkbox as this integrator is for uploading. Select the Viewer as Excel
5.Select the ‘HR Integrator Setup’ as the Integrator.Click "Next"
6.Select Content as "None" as we need to create the blank document for upload and Click "Next"
7.Click on "Create Document "
8.Once the spreadsheet is created, enter the following details and upload it back into the system.
Metadata Type : DOWNLOAD – to create download integrators
UPDATE – to create download / upload integrators
Application Short Name : PER
Integrator User Name : <User Defined Name for Integrator>
View Name : <User Defined View>
Form Name : Name of the Form to which the integrator is to be associated
API Package Name : API Package Name used to Upload Data (Only for UPDATE Integrators)
API Procedure Name : API Package Procedure (Only for UPDATE Integrators)
API Type : PROCEDURE / FUNCTION
Click on Oracle -> Upload to create the integrator
9.Define a Function using System Administrator -> Application -> Function. This function will be used to restrict the Responsibilities for which a particular integrator is available.
Function = Internal Function Name
User Function Name = User Defined Function Name
10.Create the Form Function Association Document using Web ADI Menu –Desktop Integration -> Create Document
Select Integrator as "HR Maintain Integrator Form Function Associations" and repeat step 4
11.Select the application in which the integrator is defined and the Integrator User Name for the Form Function Association has to be done. Click Next to continue.
12.Click on "Create Document" and Attach the Form Function created in step 9 i.e.Internal Function Name to the Integrator in the document created in the above step and upload the same.
13.Define the Layout for the Integrator created in above steps using
Desktop Integration -> Define Layout
14.Select the integrator for which the Layout has to be defined and click Go to continue.
15.Select the columns that will be displayed and click Apply
16. Navigate to the Form which you have attached in step 8 and Click on Export Icon.
You will be able to view the Integrator.

In the Packet not able to find the native method

I have native method callSucJava , This method when called from the java file independently (without it being part of the package ) works fine.
But when i copy the same class with the native method defined into the package and include the java file with the native method in the package , it gives the following error
java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: callSucJava
Which means it is not able to locate the neative methos in the library . It is ofcourse able to find the library. But as this method is present in the library , and syntactically it is correct as it works fine when being run independently.
Any help would be appreciated.

Not able to see the data in the report

      In my cube i am having data.But when i am running the report ,i am not able to see the data.
    The error its throwing is -No Applicable data found.

Not able to view the uploaded PAR file in the portal archive selection.

I have modified com.sap.portal.runtime.logon.par and have renamed it to some other name.
Now I have uploaded the par file.
The problem is that when choose new from PAR option (to create iview from a par file),I am not able to see the par file in the Portal Archive selection.
I also want to know that if I am able to call the par file in the iview, can I use this iview to have a portal login.
Our requirement is that we want to give login page for the portal in the portal home page.The portal home page will be for the anonymous users.

<property name="com.sap.portal.pcm.Category" value="platform">
<property name="inheritance" value="final"/>
Deploy it again.now u can see that par in ur portal.Refer this thread also

Not able to open the sql ..

1) Go to sql view see the data base and then start the Server.
i tried above one while starting error is coming unable to start the sql
2) sql services i started...

how can i take the sql data base backup without touching the sql i mean without login into the sql
and how can i restore it..

Please check the server name and instance details. Also try to connect the server using IP address.
You can use windows scheduler for backup and restore without log in to the SQL Server.

Not able to see the tree on the jspx page after running

Hi All,
This is something strange.I am dragging the VO on the page fragment from the data control as adf tree. And I am using the panel collection as component for adf tree.
After running the jspx when I am moving to the fragment I am not able to see the tree.
However when I am running the AM it is working properly for the view objects and view link used to populate the tree.
Can anybody put some thoughts on this.

I am dropping taskflow as region . I am not using the switcher component.
On left side of the page the tree is visible now. but the taskflow is not refreshing on the click of the tree node based on the value of the node.
Please advice how to accompolish this now??

Not able to get the data in COSB Table

I have created a Project and assign the WBS number to a Sales order and also have done all the settings in Result Analysis.
But still not able to get the data in COSB table.

I have below mentioned requirement
COSB will show value by object number and need to pass the object number to PRPS table to find the corresponding WBS element and then pass the WBS element to VBAP table to find the corresponding SO line item.
Please let me know as Functional prospect what I have to do to bring this values in COSB table.
