Hi,
     According to me ZCOITEMTX is not allowing lower case. you can check for this infoobject in RSD1, at General tab Lowercase Letter check box is check or not?
this will solve your issue.

  • C# PreviewKeyDown Event - Allow Special Characters

    Hello,
    I have a textbox and a PreviewKeyDown Event in which i want to allow Special Characters,A-Z and 0-9 only. Other keys such as keyboard modifiers, F1-F12, Esc,Tab, etc are not allowed.
    private void PART_SearchText_PreviewKeyDown(object sender, KeyEventArgs e)
    TextBox searchTextBox = sender as TextBox;
    if (((e.Key >= Key.A && e.Key <= Key.Z)
    || (e.Key >= Key.D0 && e.Key <= Key.D9)
    || (e.Key >= Key.NumPad0 && e.Key <= Key.NumPad9)
    || (e.Key == Key.Back || e.Key == Key.Delete))
    && (Keyboard.Modifiers != ModifierKeys.Shift)
    && (Keyboard.Modifiers != ModifierKeys.Alt)
    && (Keyboard.Modifiers != ModifierKeys.Control)
    && (Keyboard.Modifiers != ModifierKeys.Windows)
    && (searchTextBox.SelectedText.Length > 0 && searchTextBox.Text.Length > 0)
    && (searchTextBox.SelectedText.Length == searchTextBox.Text.Length))
    if (SearchDeletionCommand != null)
    searchTextBox.IsReadOnly = false;
    SearchDeletionCommand.Execute(null);
    The issue I am facing when hitting special characters (!,@,#...).
    So on my laptop if i press Shift 1, i am eventually entering a punctuation mark (!) and that should work. But in above code what happens is that the conditions does not get satisfied.
    Thanks,
    Abdi

    Thanks.
    I was thinking to use ascii values.
    private void PART_SearchText_PreviewKeyDown(object sender, KeyEventArgs e)
    TextBox searchTextBox = sender as TextBox;
    int ascii = KeyInterop.VirtualKeyFromKey(e.Key);
    if (ascii >= 32 && ascii <= 127 && (searchTextBox.SelectedText.Length > 0 && searchTextBox.Text.Length > 0)
    && (searchTextBox.SelectedText.Length == searchTextBox.Text.Length))
    if (SearchDeletionCommand != null)
    searchTextBox.IsReadOnly = false;
    SearchDeletionCommand.Execute(null);
    I am using  int  ascii = KeyInterop.VirtualKeyFromKey(e.Key); to get the ascii value but it does not give me the correct ascii values. For eg.. ascii value for comma is generally 88 but over here it gives me 148 or something. And that is when my
    logic above fails.
    Is there any workaround for this?
    Thanks,
    Abdi

    First of all you have to supply a value you want to search for and this has to be the complete path to the value. You're saying you already tried that, but can you paste the code which you used for that? I don't see the path mentioned in the code you posted.
    *FindNode*
    Syntax
    FindNode(Path)
    Description
    Use the FindNode method to return a reference to an XmlNode.
    The path is specified as the list of tag names, to the node that you want to find, each separated by a slash (/).
    Parameters
    Path
    Specify the tag names up to and including the name of the node that you want returned, starting with a slash and each separated by a slash (/). This is known as the XPath query language.>
    Another option would be this snippet of code:
    &InfoCFDiArray = GetElementsByTagName("ns4:InfoCFDi");
    &InfoCFDiNode = &InfoCFDiArray [1];
    &attValue = &InfoCFDiNode.GetAttributeValue("noCertificadoSAT")
    Warning(&attValue);
    It creates an array of XML Nodes which match the name "ns4:InfoCFDi". Since there's only one in the XML it's safe to assume it will be the one and only node in the array. I've assigned that node to the variable &InfoCFDiNode and use that to retrieve the attribute "noCertificadoSAT" value. The warning message should display the value supplied there.
    Concering the special characters; you will have to change the encoding of the XML. Peoplecode sets this to UTF-8 by default, but doesn't include this in the header. There's a little hack for that somewhere on the web, I'll see if I can find it.

  • Grid does not display special characters (as square boxes)

  • Allowing Special Characters in email subject

    Hi All,
    This is my first post..Here is my scenario..I have an application whereby i can send emails..I tried sending anemail with special character in subject but the recipient had a different character when received..So i changed the encoding type of message to UTF-8 and it worked perfectly..But it didnt support for all the special characters.
    Is there any way by which i can send any special character in emails without any problem..This is an urgent requirement

    I have a text box in jsp where by the user can enter values for the suject..So in servlet, the values enterd in text box will be the subject of the corresponding email.. ANd also am not using any unicode..the subject comes as a string and then i encode the values..You might want to brush up on what strings are and what unicode means. Inside Java strings are unicode. But if you are sending/receiving the data in unicode through the JSP / servlet depends on the encoding set on the JSP page. If you are not receiving unicode data, you are already missing those 'special' characters before even sending the email.

    When i try to change the password from say : vos1s05 to : vos1s05! i get the error message (missing or invalid option), i have used several special characters and all give the same error, is there a way to circumvent this, or will this be enabled in a new release ??

    A password is classified as an oracle identifier and must conform to the rules for indentifiers. To include special characters you need to enclose it in double quotes e.g. "vos1s05!"

  • DrawString method does not understand special characters

    Hi!
    I would like to send a String to a printer. I have tried the drawString method but my problem is, that it does not understand special charaters. The newline character is not a problem as I can just use the split method and then print the resulting array of strings.
    The big problem is the tab character (\t). Is there any way to make drawString understand this character? Or is there a more simple way to print the text?
    Kind Regards,
    Mikkel

    Thanks for your replies. I have to admit that the problem was a completely different one, a really stupid one!
    The output from the print method looked horrible to say the least (it is basically an array of numbers separated by equals amounts of space). The problem was that the font was not set to be monospaced (!) so you can imagine how the output looked ;)...
    Anyway, thanks for your fast replies. I will look into that class you told about.

  • Login screen will not accept special characters in password

    So, I have a domain account that has a password that contains the character created by pressing ctrl and Backspace key. I have found that if you attempt to type that character at the windows login screen, it will not recognize that. If you remote desktop
    to the pc from any version of windows, it will allow you to type in that character and logs in fine. If you went to change a local users password by using the Computer management mmc, it will allow you to enter that character.
    How is it possible that this was overlooked, and is there a likelihood of it being fixed?
    I'd like to point out that this occurs in windows 8.1 also. I have a large base of bilingual users that have Spanish and other characters in their passwords that have worked up until now.

    Hi,
    If i understand you correctly, you could not type the special character at the windows login screen in windows 8.1, but remote desktop could. Am i right?
    According to my test, the same result.
    So i think you could remote to the pc and change the password:

  • String control not displaying special characters

    In Microsoft Word, I can display special ASCII characters such as ASCII 29 'GS' by using the keypad and holding the alt key while typing the ASCII numerical equivalent alt+029. I want to enter these characters into a string from a string control but I can't figure out if that is possible or if so, what settings to use.

    Hello,
    CVI only uses certain character sets and fonts because at the time that CVI was created, unicode did not exist.  You will have to choose the correct font and character set for the string control that will provide access to the character you are searching for.  For example, if you wanted the character produced from holding ALT + 29 (↔), you could set the string control's character set and font to "symbol".  Pressing ALT + 174 in CVI will then display the ↔ character.

    The characters O’ is displayed as ?
    The characters M÷ is displayed as ?
    The characters û is displayed as uThis sounds like an NLS client setting issue.
    Note that there are scenarios where the data is "incorrectly" stored in the database but can be retrieved "successfully" from some clients. This is the case if you specify the same character set at your client as you have as database character set and this client character set setting is wrong, which means you ought to have specified a different client character set than you have in the database.
    Specifying the same character set on client and server prevents any conversion from taking place, so as long as the database can store the data (e.g. multi-byte characters won't be stored correctly in single-byte character set database no matter what you do) it will be stored "as is". If you now retrieve the data using the same setting, it looks correct, but if you use a client with a different character set setting that requires conversion the data will be mangled.
    The database character set can be identified using the dictionary view NLS_DATABASE_PARAMETERS, parameter "NLS_CHARACTERSET".
    The client character set can be identified by issuing the following at the SQL*Plus prompt:
    SQL> @[%NLS_LANG%]You'll get a message similar to:
    "Unable to open file [AMERICAN_AMERICA.WE8MSWIN1252]"
    The string after the dot represents the client character set.
    If you get this:
    Unable to open file "[%NLS_LANG%]"
    then the NLS_LANG client setting is undefined.
    Please follow this very useful link regarding client NLS issues and how to resolve them, in particular to determine what is your correct client NLS_LANG setting:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/globalization/htdocs/nls_lang%20faq.htm
    I am able to retreive the data as it is while running the script through SQL * Plus and spooling the output to a .csv file.You mean that when using SQL*Plus interactively the data is shown/spooled correctly, whereas if you run a script non-interactively then the data is mangled?
    Note that if you e.g. use "cron" to schedule/execute your script that you need to take care of the Oracle specific environment variables yourself because no logon scripts are executed when cron forks the process to run. May be you need to define the NLS_LANG variable explicitly or call/source the corresponding script to define your default Oracle environment that includes the NLS_LANG setting.
    It probably depends on your environment, operating system, etc. and how you set the Oracle specific settings, e.g. environment variables under Unix, registry settings under Windows etc.
    Use the above mentioned check regarding NLS_LANG setting in the different cases that you encounter to get started.

    Make sure that Lower case letters are allowed for this infoobject. You can make it allow by selecting ckeck box of 'lower case letters' in Infoobject maintainance of 0REF_DOC_NO .
