Not allowing multiple quiz attempts

I am using adobe captivate to create quizzes and posting results into an internal server. And I do not want the quiz taker to take the quiz more than once. Is there a way to stop the quiz takers from taking the quiz more than once? It seems like when someone takes the quiz multiple times, the quiz analyzer only displays the newewst quiz result and I am more interested in the first quiz result.

This is technically possible but it requires the use of widgets to persist data about the user's attempts OUTSIDE of the course content.
You can use the SaveAndLoadData widgets to store data to the effect that the user has already done the quiz and then have the initial slides of the project check for this data before allowing the user to continue and enter the quiz again. But to effectively lock the user out of the quiz you need to set up the project so that ALL slides they can navigate to from the start will perform this check and lock them out. You need to eliminate navigation workarounds etc.
So it CAN be done, but it might get complex.

Quiz variables show wrong result on multiple quiz attempts

Hi everbody
cp4: I have a quiz with certificate at the end of my project. On the certificate the result is shown with the help of the variable cpInfoPercentage. The user has a maximum of 3 attempts to pass the quiz. Now, when he needs more than one attempt, the variable shows the sum of the results from each attempt. The same is true for the variable cpQuizInfoPointssored.
Has anyone made the same experience and knows a way arount it?

I'm just bumping this up because I am having a similar problem. cpInfoPercentage variable is not resetting on multiple quiz attempts, even though quiz results screen is showing correct score and pass/fail message. Is there a way to reset this variable, or some other workaround? THanks.

I'm struggling with the following task:
I have to assure an account exists for a given resource. I do provision it with the .tcUserOperationsIntf.provisionObject().
I've created a createUser task to create the account.
The task code checks if there is already matching account.
If no account exists, is is created in the disabled state, and the object state of OIM account is set to 'Disabled' by means of task return code mapping.
If it exists, it is 'linked' to OIM account.
The problem is if the existing account is enabled, I have to change the OIM account state to 'Enabled' either.
To implement this (thanks, Kevin Pinski https://forums.oracle.com/thread/2564011 )) I've created an additional task 'Switch Enable' which is triggered by a special task return code. This task always succeeds, and its only side effect is switching the object status to 'Enabled'.

CP4 - only allow 3 quiz attempts using advanced action

Hi, im trying to create a multiple choice quiz that allows learners to attempt it up to 3 times. Each attempt takes them right through the quiz to the results slide. Ive tried an Advanced Action (see below), but it just loops to retry quiz (more than 3 times).
Aim:
If they pass they travel to results and onwards to the exit slide.
If they fail they go from the results slide to instructions slide again, to retry quiz. Unless they have tried 3 times, in which case they are taken straight to slide 6, which informs them they cannot attempt quiz again and need to contact training department. This slide then goes to exit.
Settings:
Each quiz slide allows one attempt before continuing.
Quiz set to optional so user can be sent to slide 6 without having to pass.
If pass jump to slide 5. this slide jumps to slide 7.
If fail execute advanced action (this is where i think im wrong as im new to AAs - have tried 10 or so different combos):
    check if (cpQuizInfoAttempts is equal to 3) +
    begin <NewLine>
          Jump to slide slide 6 <NewLine>
          Add statement
     end
     Or Else
     begin <NewLine>
          Jump to slide slide 3 <NewLine>
          Add statement
     end < NewLine>

Great thanks! I'm beginning to think it's a bug in Cp4. I read something similar on a post in here & it was a bug in Cp4. When the user clicks the button, Outlook opens but only the "To" is populated.   Everything else in the string is cut off & not read by Outlook even though it's entered like this:

Lightroom 2.0 will not allow multiple image keywording

Lightroom 2.0 intermittently will not allow me to add keywords to multiple image selections (two or more images selected). The first image selected gets keyworded and the rest do not. Is anyone else having this problem, and if so, have you been able to find a fix.

Crystal reports 2008 will not allow multiple exports in a row

I recently had service pack 3 and fix pack 3.3 updated to my system ( crystal 2008) to help correct a issue with mapi not populating addresses from outlook when trying to export a report. I have a new issue. - sort of???
Now when I try to export multiple reports in a row I still have the same issue. I can send 1 report out. But if i try to send another report out i have the same issue that I had with mapi not populating the addresses field from outlook.
To get past this I shut down crystal and then bring it back up and I can send (ONE) report again before the same thing happens. Does anyone know if there is fix for this issue?

My problem has nothing to do with report design in my OP. The MAPI function (in crystal reports itself) will not populate addresses once I export 1 report. When I try to export a second report that is when it quits works. This is basically the same problem that a hot fix or fix pack corrected but now instead of now working at all. I can only export 1 report before the same mapi issue happens????

Latest Firefox will not allow multiple tabs on my Mac !!?!!

I have the most current version of Firefox and since it loaded, I can no longer open multiple tabs either by clicking on the + or by selecting New Tab from the file menu. My only option seems to be to open another window - I would rather have multiple tabs. What happened to the new version?

Calendar will not allow multiple appointments on same day

Using version 3.0 in an iPhone "classic," I am unable to enter more than one appointment on a given day in the calendar. Each time I attempt to add an appointment it deletes the prior appointment entered for that date. What gives???

Mail in iOS 7.0.4 will not allow multiple selections to delete/move etc.

In the past week my iPhone 5S has started something that I can only discribe as a 'refresh' of the screen each time I attempt to select multiple emails to either delete or move to another location. What occurs is that once I touch 'edit' the circles appears, as they should, to the left of every message. However, once I select one and go to select the second the previous selection is 'unchecked'. If I try to go faster I am able to select 2, sometimes 3, messages before it unselects them. This is very frustrating to say the least. Additionally, the same time I noticed this issue I also began having some serious battery longevity issues. I'm talking 25% drain in less than an hour. I've done all the standard stuff to fix this - reset settings, DFU restore etc - and the problem persists. The only commonality that I can come up with was the upgrade to iOS 7.0.4, it was shortly after this upgrade that the symptoms began.

Fix for XP Home Edition not allowing multiple users to access iTunes

When I upgraded to iTunes 7.6 only one user could run iTunes, all other users got a Fatal Error after windows attempted to configure the program. Below is a link to the fix. I didn't have any problems in prior releases. Looks like it is related to the different users rights to the C:/program files directory.

Z2 Right Noise Cancelling Ear bud not working - MULTIPLE repair attempts

I am not happy with the service I have received from Sony support in the last months.
I bought my Z2 in September and after 3 weeks the right earbud of my noise cancelling headset provided with the phone stopped working 100% of the time. By moving the jack connection it would come and go. This did NOT happen with my third party earphones and when trying in the Three store I bought the device in, my suspect noise cancelling phones worked with the Z2 on display OK.
My phone was sent in first time in end of Sept/start of Oct and after I got it back the issue remained and the service log showed only a flashing of the software happened.
I then contacted Sony Xperia support again to complain and was told all I could do was return the phone AGAIN to check the QA process used.
This happened and I returned the phone again. I received the phone back today and the issue still persists! Again no hardware changes made.
I am very angry now and have lost all confidence in Sony support and would not recommend another Xperia product based on this.
What I need is for someone from Sony to call me and discuss how this will be solved.

Acrobat 9 Pro Extended does not allow multiple renditions

I have tried adding several different kinds of media files (Tools > Multimedia > Video or Flash), but I can never see the Multimedia Properties dialog box, so therefore I cannot add additional renditions. I had no problem doing this in Acrobat 8 Pro. According to the documentation this functionality should be there, has anyone else had this issue?

I've already extended the rights and made sure to save to activate that... as well as password protected the docs etc... still nothing...
I am aware that those with Basic Adobe Reader need rights extended to be able to use functions available to Adobe Pro.

Why can I not attach multiple files on iPad ???

Why does iPad not allow multiple files to be attached. This is one of the very basic feature all computers must have...why is apple trying to complicate the like of people without this simple feature ???????

BTW - the iPad is not a computer and was not designed - at least to this point - to totally take the place of a computer. There are other email apps available as well that may suit your needs - MailShot or Group Email with attachments. Check those out - see if they allow for multiple file attachments.

Apache reports error 405 Method Not Allowed

Hello, I have been attempting AJAX techniques on a portlet and am getting a weird error message in apache's access log. I checked the logs because the requestObject.open method I am using in some javascript was not returning any results.
Apache is reporting error '405 Method Not Allowed' on my attempts to connect to a servlet from a portlet.
I have found doc 427497.1 which gives three steps to solving this. The steps are to fix your hosts file, make sure your url does not resolve to a public address, and restart OC4J. But my hosts file is correct, and the url I have does not resolve to a public address.
I'm following the steps in Oracle's "Building Highly Interactive Portlets With AJAX".
This ajax test is being run deployed on OAS; not from JDeveloper. This OAS is infrastructure and middle-tier on same box. Portal, Forms and Reports are working great.
When I access the servlets url directly from my browser, it works. This error only happens when I attempt to access the servlet from a portlet.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

List Box - Object How do you get "allow multiple item selection" option to work?

developing a fillable PDF form using livecycle. I have several list boxes that contain multiple text items. I have entered all items directly into the item list and I have selected "allow multiple selection". The object is committed on exit, All the binding options have been left on default settings. BUT when the form is tested it will not allow multiple selections. I cannot find anything in help to resolve this. CAN Someone help me. This is urgent!!!!!

Thank you for your suggestion, but it does not appear to work. I used the alt key then my mouse to select, but it still only allows for 1 selection. I do not see the sample you said you included, so I cannot check to see if I have a setting incorrect. If you have any other suggestions I would really appreciate it or if there is a way for you to look at the form, at this point I am open to any suggestions.
