Not catching Sql error in ODI
Hi guys,
I have added one not null column to existing table,I have one insert record query to this table.after addind not null column to this table ,it doesnt insert record into this table and also it is not giving any error in operator.

In the above query we have missed one not null column but it should give error.
when i am running trhough sql developer it is giving error
SQL Error: ORA-01400: cannot insert NULL into ("abc"."C_LOAD_DATES"."ENTERPRISE_ID")
This tables is not my actual target.
In middle table ,i want to insert into record after succeesfull execution of interface.It is just like status table.

Could not open (SQL) error log on passive cluster node
Hi. We have SCCM 2012 SP1 installation using clustered SQL instance running on 2-node SQL Server 2012 cluster.
On the passive SQL node that's not running the SCCM SQL instance, there are repeated errors in the eventlog with ID 17058, source MSSQL$SCCM: "initerrlog: Could not open error log file 'K:\MSSQL11.SCCM\MSSQL\Log\ERRORLOG'. Operating system error = 3(The
system cannot find the path specified.)."
While searching I've found out this is caused by the "SMS_SITE_SQL_BACKUP_<siteservername>" service that is registered on both SQL nodes and has startup type of Automatic and therefore is running on both nodes simultaneously.
In the smssqlbackup.log file on the passive node, there are errors "SMS_SITE_SQL_BACKUPFailed to start SQL Server.Error code = 0x0.", which make sense, since the SQL instance is already running on the second node. Therefore it fails.
This seems like a very bad design bug, can it be prevented/fixed? I could configure our monitoring system to ignore this error, but I would rather not...
Why is that service running on both (all) SQL cluster nodes simultaneously? Why isn't it made part of the cluster resource group or something like that?Try on the passive node remove: SQLServer Name\InstanceName

Again, your query is an aggregation (GROUP BY query). So it returns a single row for all distinct sid_klienta. I am getting errors on my subdomain when trying to access two different files in the root of my site:

what does this mean?That's a PHP error not a SQL error. The error is telling you that you are not allowed to use "http" in a PHP include path. Most likely this means you do not have a dedicated server or a VPS. Most hosts block basic plans from having this access, and it's usually good to leave it off unless absolutely necessary because of the security risk it poses.

EJB adapter errors are not catched by the composite fault handler

I got a serious problem in soa suite 11g ps3 that ejb adapter failures are not catched by the soa suite fault framework.
for example when I do a persist of an entity on a EJB session bean and I dont provide all required fields I get a rollback error when the BPEL component is finished.

what I did is to set idemponent = false on the partnerlink but then the invoke fails instead of the bpel ( same error ) and still no compensate or catch in bpel.
Added the fault policies to the composite and rethrowed the error to BPEL. Still no luck.
But then replaced the EJB adapter with the db adapter which does the same insert as the EJB and I got a nice bpelx:bindingFault which I can catch and handle.

Failure when connecting MS SQL SERVER from ODI ! could not load JDBS driver
i have some trouble with connecting MS SQL SERVER from ODI.
I have already downland jdbs driver 3.0 (and 2.0 ) and copy the sqljdbc4.jar to D:\oracle\product\11.1.1\Oracle_ODI_1\oracledi\agent\drivers( where the oracle jdbs driver is already exitst )....but i have this error :
could not load JDBS driver class..
thanksAfter more investigation and even more chocolate, we've identified the problem and it's now working. For anyone else who strikes this problem in future, here's something to check/consider/try:
Even though Squirrel SQL Client was connecting and working ok using the MS JDBC driver (v 3.0), it recorded this in its logs:
Cannot resolve the collation conflict between "SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS" and "Latin1_General_CI_AS" in the INTERSECT operation.
We've found that the open source jTDS driver does not have the same issue as the Microsoft one.
We've installed the current jTDS driver, recorded the driver name (net.sourceforge.jtds.jdbc.Driver) and the JDBC URL (jdbc:jtds:sqlserver://<hostname>:1433/<database>) and the connection is now working fine.

This script is executed from a Unix command line SQLPLUS uid/pwd@SID @scriptname.sql. The catch is that I am trying to test my exception handling. To test the error I have intentionally renamed a table that the PL/SQL procedure 'process_test' is based on, so that it shows up as invalid. The failure is detected by the WHENEVER and the Unix status gets set to 1 so that the Unix end of the error trap operates fine. The problem is that there is nothing inserted into the error_log table. Is it that the WHENEVER clause at the top (there to propogate the error out to Unix) is causing the control to drop out of the block immediately after the error occurs so that my exception handler is not allowed to run? I need it in there to send the fail code out to Unix. The process in question is loading some tables with data from external tables, and after it loads a file it deletes it. I want to stop the deletion from occurring if the load didn't happen. The part is actually working, but it's not logging the error in the error table. Here's the error message, it if helps:

Shouldn't this get caught by the WHEN OTHERS and dealt with before it exits the block, or is the WHENEVER SQLERROR clause causing control to move out of the block before the exception handler runs?Oh. Well, this SQL script executed a procedure that was invalid. Yes, it did show as invalid in PL/SQL Dev as soon as I changed the table name. I'm actually a big fan of packages and such. I was trying to think of a way to force an error in what is basically a simple system. There's not a lot of places for it to be broken. I can see now that I need to find a better place to break it. This way isn't allowing the PL/SQL exception handlers to be tested.
The script itself is to be executed by a CRON job in Unix to fire off the file extracts. It's driven from Unix because we need to loop through a bunch of Unix file names. It creates a symbolic link so we can use External Tables to do the data extracts from the flat files, then it deletes the source file and moves on to the next one. The error trap is to stop the deletion of the source file if anything went wrong, so the file is still there for the next pass to load it. (Theoretically, once any errors have been corrected...) -

ora constrainst usually thrown from db,
if u had constraint name in db. u can map it.
as follows.

Actually this relates to the Iexpenese Module. The VO is "oracle.apps.ap.oie.server.TrackExpenseReportsVO"(Seeded)
The user Expense home screen is based on the above VO and this view returning multiple line for the same expense number which should be eliminated.
so for this i need to filter data by adding where clause dynamically on top of the existing where conditions so that i can eliminate the duplicate row.
Please suggest me !! how to move on

SQL error not displayed. Instead wwv_flow.accept was not found

My Question:
Why does the SQL error in this case not get propagated up the chain?
BACKGOUND:
Just spent a few hours trying to figure out why when trying to insert into a table using a wizard created page I was getting the error: The requested URL /pls/htmldb/wwv_flow.accept was not found on this server. It turns out that the error message is a red herring, and the problem was caused by a SQL error that I thought should have been caught and displayed.
When running the page under debug, the error is displayed, but run as Joe Blow user, the www_flow.accept error is received.

ACTUAL PROBLEM:
The sequence TRNG_SEQ does not exist!Has anyone found what causes this problem? I am running HTMLDB 1.6
I have a HTMLDB application running against four databases. I develop in one and export and import the application to all databases. It appears that on the databases that are NOT development, this www_flow.accept was not found comes up instead of the error page.
Please help! We are getting so close to wanting to release this application. -
Db link error in PL/SQL but not in SQL

I have a simple procedure (anonymous block) that uses a db link to update a table in another db (on same host)
The procedure fails with the following error:
ORA-02019: connection description for remote database not found
I can insert records using the same db_link using the exact same line pasted from the stored proc (same line that raises the ORA-02019).
insert into table_x@my_db_link (select * from local_table_y);
x rows inserted
I use the same sql*plus session to run both the stored proc and sql command;
SQL> conn my_user/my_pwd
connected
SQL> @my_proc.sql
ORA-02019: connection description for remote database not found
SQL> insert into table_x@my_db_link (select * from local_table_y);
x rows inserted
QUESTION:
Why does the db_link fail in the procedure and not the sql command line call?
P.S.
I converted the procedure to a store proc and it also fails with the same call.Perhaps if the Database link is non-public?There is a bug, #3240720, which applies when the owner of the db link is not the user who's executing the query.
There are several bugs which demonstrate this sort of behaviour. For instance ORA-2019 can be hurled if the local PL/SQL is running against a remote Dataguard standby database (although I would hope we wouldn't be running an INSERT in that scenario).

Err 62007: SQL Error: 99999 ORA-24338: Statement Handle not Executed
Hi,
I am facing a problem while adding a new parameter n my JSP Report JDBC query based on a ref-cursor from a stored procedure define in a package in database.
No problem at database level, I have added the new parameter in package specification and Package body for that procedure and compile my package, it complies without any error and warning.
but when I open the report and add parameter in the report JDBC query window, then it is generating a error message,
"Err 62007: SQL Error: 99999 ORA-24338: Statement Handle not Executed "
and I am unable to add the new parameter in report.
e.g.
Actual which was working is:
My-package.My-procedure(:P1,:P2,:P3 ,:P4,:P5,:P6,:P7)
I want to do this:
My-package.My-procedure(:P1,:P2,:P3 ,:P4,:P5,:P6,:P7,:P8)
but unable to do due to this error message:
("Err 62007: SQL Error: 99999 ORA-24338: Statement Handle not Executed ")

Khanand compile my package, it complies without any error and warning.That doesn't mean anything in this case. You are getting a runtime error, not a compilation error. The error is coming when you execute your procedure.
Did you test your modified procedure in sqlplus or SQL Developer?
