Not clickable after hide()

Question

Hello again,
I have created a main stage just with a simple button. After clicking the button, a new page ("slider") appears.
It works well. Then I added a close button to this new page to come back to the main stage. I used the click-function
sym.$("slider").hide();
It works, but back to the main stage, the button doesn´t work anymore.
I also tried:
sym.$("slider").css("display", "none");
The same effect, I cannot press the button to show the "slider" again.
I am sure, it´s an easy issue, but but but...
I hope, someone can help me.

thank you for your answer.
I also tried to change the z-index:
sym.getComposition().getStage().$("start").css("zIndex", "1");
You are right, the mouse cursor changes when I go to the button. But nothing happens when I click it.
Actually, it should open the slider (sym.play("slider");)
