Not receiving email in Apple Mail, only on iPhone

OK, I've been searching forever trying to find this answer, but I can't...
I have two accounts setup in Apple Mail through Comcast... These two accounts are synced with my iPhone using POP... Now, I have never experienced this problem with my first account, but with my second account a few times a day... They are both setup exactly the same, just different names of course... OK, here is what is happening...
I am receiving all my email on my iPhone properly all the time, however, that same message is not being received in Apple Mail through Comcast for some reason... In the first account, never a problem, in the second account, quite a bit... I have the advanced settings set to "never" delete from the server, so not sure why they show up on my iPhone and not in Apple Mail once in awhile... So I end up forwarding that message to my first account so I can reply to it within Apple Mail...
Any ideas?

NEVER MIND, THEY WERE ALL IN MY JUNK MAILBOX... Man!

I think it's trying to open it in a gMail eMail & is losing your gMail password that it needs log into gMail, but not 100% positive.
Have you tried Right clicking or Control+click on the eMail link & choose Copy? Works on some, not others.

  • Random delay in receiving emails in Apple Mail

    Hi Everyone:
I've searched online about this problem but I didn't find anything helpful for my situation. I'm hoping someone here can help me. The problem I'm having is that there is a delay in receiving emails in Apple Mail—and it's happening in random. Here's a list of things that pertain to the problem:
    1. Delays in receiving emails vary from 1 hour to 1 day. The delayed emails are actually sitting on the incoming email server and can be seen via webmail using a browser. So, to me, apparently this is a problem with Apple Mail not downloading the new email where it's clearly received on the server.
    2. The same delayed email, when resent by the sender a few times, randomly downloaded by Apple Mail in no particular order. One of the resent emails arrived with no delay while others are delayed again. This is one same email from one same sender.
    3. This problem happens on Macs running Snow Leopard (OS X 10.6.x), Lion (10.7.x), and Mountain Lion (OS X 10.8.x). Different Macs, different email user accounts, same domain name. But, some other Macs with other user accounts on the same domain name have never had this problem ever.
    4. Besides this problem of delayed emails, I've also noticed another problem that seems to tag along: read emails or trashed emails will show up in the Inbox as unread/new emails the next day.
The steps I've taken so far:
    1. Talked and had the email server provider checked the server and the delayed emails with long headers, and they found nothing wrong with the email server functions. I concurred as I can see the emails not delayed if I use the webmail/browser.
    2. Rebuilt the email account in Apple Mail, reset keychain to the email account, clear cache, fixed permissions on the Mac with the problem.
    And the problem persists...

I am having a similiar problem with emails sent to my 10.6 xserve.
I have noticed most, if not all, of the problems are connected to email coming from google servers i.e. [email protected]  As I also administer a google business account I contacted Google and when they looked into it indicated this sometime has something to do with google's 'Undo Send" function.  However in my case google is indicating it is an issue on my server with no further explination.

  • HT3376 I am not receiving emails in my Mail account.  However, I am receiving them on my web based yahoo account and on my ipad.  The other strange thing is that on my Mac, I have been receiving emails from Apple.  How can i fix this problem?

I am not receiving email messages in my Mail account on my Mac OSX.  However, emails are being received on my ipad and my yahoo web site.  Also, all emails from Apple are going through in my Mail account.  How do I fix this problem?

Well, the other person said theirs was working now. On yours let's try this...
Not certain, but this can fix myriad Mail problems...
Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup),  it will try to repair your Disk Directory while the spinning radian is happening, so let it go, run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, then move this folder & file to the Desktop.
Move this Folder to the Desktop...
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Caches/Mail/
Move this file to the Desktop...
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/Envelope Index
    Reboot.
If that doesn't do it and you can afford to redo all your Rules, try these & reboot...
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/MessageRules.plist
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/MessageRules.plist.backup
Note, in 10.5 & up /Users/YourUserName/Library/Caches/Mail/ may or may not exist.

  • Inbox not receiving email on mac mail

    Hello,
I have a problem with my Mail app on my mac (MBA 2013 running 10.9.1) with one of my two iCloud account, where by one of them  inbox is no longer receving any messages and only old messages were showing in the inbox. Account 'A' for is fine syncing mail correctly inbox/sent/junk and all but account 'B' for some reason was not syncing inbox or anyother folder. What I have done is remove the mail account 'B' only through System Preference>iCloud restarted my computer then restarted the computer and checked the mail.
Now all old messages are no longer showing in account 'B' but 'A' is working perfectly fine. On the troubled account junk and send mail are syncing but inbox is not. I have done a repair permission and recevied the following message: "Warning: SUID file “System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/ARDAg ent” has been modified and will not be repaired." Although when searching it seems that I can safely ignor this message according to apple but I only bring it up in case there is a connection.
One thing to note I am receiving email on my iPhone with the troubled account it's just that I am not receving any emails on my mac mail.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thank you!

Well after a few hours it started working again ... I have no explanation for this I just kept my inbox highligted.
At least this maybe a reference or people that go through the same problem to just give it time

  • Can't receive email in Apple Mail & Entourage but can send email

Have MacBook Pro and been using Leopard for several months - within the past 24- 48 hours Apple Mail and Entourage Mail will not receive or retrieve mail. I can send mail but not retrieve. No changes in e-mail accounts. I can retrieve mail using Window XP on same machine.
    Any suggestions?

If an option exists on networksolutions to allow you to log in to your email via your web browser then access your mail via webmail then try deleting the offending message that way.

  • TS3276 I'm not receiving email on apple me account

I am getting some emails, but not all emails being sent to my ME account. How do i Address this?

iCloud is fairly aggressive about its spam filtering.
Check your spam folders, and also ensure that the mail server that is sending the mail is correctly configured.
Without some details of the messages or the source mail server, it's difficult to be more specific.
Alternatively, check with the iCloud support folks.

  • Setting times to not receive email alerts and or only on certain accounts?

Is it possible to set the iphone to not notify of new emails during certain times? For instance, with a BB, you can turn the email notifications off overnight. Phone still rings, but no annoying email dings while you're sleeping.
Also, can you have one email account with an audible notification and the others not?

    Hello, Welcome to discussions.
At this current time this can not be done. You can use the silent switch if you would like for night time use so you do not hear the sounds waking you up. You can also turn on Vibrate so if you do get a call at night the vibration should be loud enough to awake you.
