Not too ( Business ) friendly !

I moved my service from T-Mobile last month. Wanted to make International calls today but could not. So I just called Verizon to add International calling features to my new iPhone cause i am traveling for business next week and need to use it there too. Their answer : I can not make International phone calls from here nor use my phone abroad for 90 days because i am a new costumer!  Are you kidding me? Why don't you put this ad in your window? Ohh and I already paid $400 deposit for 1 year because it's a new business...
Is it the 21st century here too?

  • Bought a $25 itunes gift card from 7-11 and it was invalid, cashier was too busy on the phone with a personal friend and didn't give me a receipt, please help!

    I bought a $25 iTunes gift card from the 7-11 in Windsor Locks, CT earlier this afternoon around 6:45 P.M, and when I tried to activate it, the code was invalid, and when I called the 7-11 to let them know what happened, the foreign man that answered the phone started yelling at me when I told him the cashier was the too busy on the phone with a friend to give me a receipt for my purchases. Considering that my card didn't work and the guy yelled at me when I was trying to make him aware of the situation, it made me wonder how many other people has that convenience store scammed into buying invalid gift cards? If they are scamming people, is there a way for me to report the store to Apple for using the company to gain fraudulent dollars? Is there a way I can get my money back?

  • PCo 2.0 does not recover after "System is too busy" error.

    We run PCo 2.0.1.8 with multiple agents (OPC-DA 2.05a --> MII 12.1.6.Build(91)).
    Sometimes our MII-Server is under heavy load and is not able to process PCo messages anymore. Therefore one PCo agent stops working and logs this message:
    "System is too busy. Incomming message processing is halted until the system becomes less busy."
    The other agents stop working as well. They never recover and start sending messages again.
    It is not about retrying to a send old message again. We set "Maximum Retry Attempts" to 3 and "Retry Interval" to 1.
    It is about sending new messages after OPC items changed. Our OPC servers change values at least once a minute, which should result in new messages.
    Any suggestions to solve this issue?

    of course we try to avoid this error and investigate the reason, but it may happen and we would like PCo to recover from it.
    PCo and its push technology is the right choice for us. We have to get informed when an OPC value changed. We do expression evaluation as well, but a few machines change their values so often that we get notifications every 3 to 5 seconds. And this is the reason for the very short retry interval of 1 second and 3 retry attempts in this case. If the notification comes too late, the information is outdated and we don't need it anymore.
    The retry interval is not the point. When the MII server becomes less busy and is ready to process new notifications again, PCo does not even send new notifications. The agents have to be restarted to work again. That's our problem.
    Expected behavior of PCo
    00:00   OPC change --> MII idle --> Send Notification --> OK
    00:03   OPC change --> MII busy --> retry 3 times, then throw away --> OK
    00:06   OPC change --> MII still busy --> retry 3 times, then throw away --> OK
    00:09   OPC change --> MII not busy anymore --> Send Notification --> OK
    Reality
    00:00   OPC change --> MII idle --> Send Notification --> OK
    00:03   OPC change --> MII busy --> retry 3 times, then throw away --> OK

    You should call Apple but you should get an email from Apple. I got one a few minutes ago and this is what they said about AppleCare+ :

  • Won't sell item at Store # 145 Heath Ohio. Said too busy to call Corporate

    On 12/13/14 around 7:30pm went to Best Buy Store # 145 Heath, Ohio. After looking to see what Amiibo's they had. I see they had one Diddy Kong on a hang tag(later confirmed it was actual Diddy Kong with SKU and price of 12.99 hang tag location). I went to check out and once the cashier scanned it for purchase a message on the register said can't be sold. She tried again and same thing. She called someone from gaming and he went to confirm where in store came from and then came back and said shouldn't be a problem. He tried scanning it himself and same thing. He went over to customer service and looked it up. He came back and said didn't see a reason can't be sold. He said will talk with the store manager and be right back. He came back and said the manager said can't be sold. He asked if still wanted it, I could talk with the manager myself. I said yes still want to purchase it. He went over the mic around his neck and said the customer wants to speak with the manager.
    Then a guy came to the front. He said was the manager (Jeramaha, sorry on spelling), he said as said before can't be sold. I asked why not, he first said was recalled and needs to be sent back. After asking why on shelf then, then said might not be entered in system correctly or something of that order and will need to be checked on with Corporate. He said for me to check back tomorrow. I told him over a hour drive away so just can't stop in to see why tomorrow. I said would you call Corporate now then. He said we are too busy to do that. I said what do you mean too busy. He repeated too busy but would put my name on it and hold it for me to pick it up tomorrow, so did that and he  attached my info to it. I said again hour away. He said it would be here for me then. I asked for his business card, he asked why. I said will need to contact Corporate then myself. He said why, can't sell something that can't be sold. I said, it's now not that. It's all the different reasons and not willing to check. He then said can get a store card on my way out at the desk at entrance
    I went to that desk(it's the security check desk). I asked a guy that was there for the card, he handed me a store card and asked why wanted it. I said the manager over there didn't have one. He said no I'm the manager and asked what's wrong. I told him trying to buy a item and they said can't sell it. He said let's go see why not. He went and got the item and then took me over to customer service. He went and looked on the computer and said can't be sold until 12/17 because it's not released yet. I asked why on shelf, said put out by mistake. I asked him why that guy told me to come back tomorrow to buy it, even knew over hour drive. He said don't know why he would do that, since can't be sold. I pointed to my info tag he put on it. He didn't say anything on that. I said that would be a wasted trip, he said good thing didn't do it. He proceeded to tell me can't be sold until then and didn't offer to hold it. I was dissappointed with that and then took my info tag back and left.
    Now wanted to add as too why posting on here:
    The first guy that represented himself as the manager had a Geek Squad shirt on and seem to just make up different reasons as to why not. That's why asked for him to check with Corporate.
    The response of too busy to call Corporate. To show how not busy that store was. There was two registers open and not once did they have me step away or take another customer. That's because all of that time with them checking on it, they didn't have any customers to ring out. The other lady at the next register wasn't even busy that she added that someone earlier came up with one and it wouldn't ring up. Even if too busy which wasn't the case, I feel should still do it for customer service.
    Then to tell the customer that recalled and will be sent back. Then a couple minutes later offer to take my info and hold it for me to pick up the next day. That makes no sense and made me feel, just making up as they go.
    Also to represent as the manager and wasn't, doesn't help. I don't even know if the other one was either, since he had a coat on.
    If something was put out by mistake that's fine. But to tell a cutomer will hold it and come back the next day to buy it and knowing they have over hour drive without knowing for sure could even be sold then. That's just wrong.
    Now as to the availability of this Diddy Kong Amiibo. Went to Gamestop right around the corner(right after leaving Best Buy 12/13) to check if they had it. They did, but sold the two that they had. The manager there named Ash said they are available to be sold and just hard to find, since so few sent to stores.

    We’ve received quite a bit of feedback in regards to the amiibo releases and we’ve been sharing this feedback with our gaming teams here at the Corporate Campus. However, I’m going to go one step further here and share your concerns directly with the leadership team at Store #145 in Heath, Ohio. If there was any misrepresentation going on, this is greatly frowned upon and there is absolutely no reason we should be misleading our customers and giving a false illusion of authority. While most of our associates should be able to assist with your issue, there are times a manager is needed and a manager is exactly what you should get when requesting one. I apologize further if you experienced otherwise.
    Lastly, I do apologize for the delay in response here. As you acknowledged, we’re a bit behind due to a higher Holiday volume and I regret that this gives the impression that we’re disregarding the situation. I absolutely assure you that’s not the case!

    You should have an option to create groups in the File menu. To add contacts to this group, simply drag and drop them to it (switch to Groups display, to view all your groups).
    Otherwise, you may create "smart groups", based on some criteria you define (File menu too).

  • JS ScriptUI window too busy to accept a click

    I have a script that shows a Script UI 'window' (resizable, with minimize/maximize buttons etc).
    The users can keep this interface minimized or put it beside the document, and still work with the active document (which is good).
    (A previous interface for the same "main import code", used the old InDesign modal dialogue, that did not allow this.)
    My problem is that as soon as I click the "start" button on this ScriptUI window, I can no longer interact with the form, until it's all done. It seems to be "too busy" to interact with anything at all, while running the main code loop. I can't even move the window.
    The Esc (Escape) button does not work (I wouldn't expect it to either).
    When the main loop (initiated by the Start-button) is done, the form is accessible again.
    Is there a way to let the main code "wait" a fraction of a second, to let it accept button clicks? I'd like to have an abort button on the window, or just any way to let a user abort the script code before it's all done.

    You can try using
    myPalette.update();
    Where si myPalette your variable name for ScriptUI palette.
    Unfortunately, there are some issues on MacOS when update is happening too quickly.

    I have a user who is trying to email a distribution group with approximately 185 recipients, 183 internal, and 2 external.
    The user is recieving message delayed/pending for some (but not all) of the recipients. Approximately 15 recipients have recieved the mail including the external recipients and did so shortly after the mail was sent, however, 168 recipients have not recieved
    the email and when I search for the mail in Message Tracking on the server, the pending recipients have the following error:

  • IPhone Activation: "Store is Too Busy"

    Hi everyone!
    Last night, I tried to activate my iPhone. I was using the GoPhone PrePaid plan. Everything went well; I got a phone number, pin number, and was re directed to AT&T's website to add funds to the account. I added the funds and clicked a finalize button. iTunes launched and it said, "Verifiying account balance with AT&T. This may take up to two minutes." About 10 seconds later, an error box popped up that said "Could not complete iTunes Store request. The store may be too busy. Check internet connection or try again later." My interenet connection is fine, but after countless restarts, disconnecting and reconnecting of my iPhone, I cannot get past that screen. This morning, it still is down. Does anyone have any advice? I'll try again later, but this is annoying that I have to wait, espically when I paid AT&T and I have a phone number. Thank goodness that I have a backup verizon phone.

    Yeah, I'm having the exact same problem here. I talked to abut 15 different people. Finally, they told me that the activation server is down. I read on a forum somewhere to wait until the early morning to try to register.

  • MDS too busy

    My BB curve 8520 has internet problems. I receive email, but I cant reply.
    using Twitter (which obviously doesn't work!) appears this: mds too busy: executor queue limit reached at net.rim.protocol.iplayer.packet.v10IPlayerConnecti​on and bla bla bla
    any solution to fix it?? is a problem on my mobile or does it depend on mobile companies?

    Are you on a corporate BES account provided by your employer or a personal BIS account?

  • Is it me or is the iphone going too BUSINESS LIKE?

    I am not liking what i see. The iphone is swaying towards being a business PDA Phone. I liked it when it was an ipod/phone. Business man like. All the new features of update 2.0 seem to be around business. Let me know your thoughts. Clark

    Now that we've had our fun you raise a serious point about how can the iPhone maintain a balance between the needs of business users and personal users. Note that there is no other phone that does this well; the Blackberry is an excellent business tool, but certainly isn't fun to use; a couple of basic games is it. The Treo with PalmOS had a lot of potential, with the ability to add from a library of over 20,000 3rd party apps, but Palm seems to have dropped the ball, from being the first smartphone and owning the market a few years ago to today, with only 9% of the smartphone market (behind Apple and RIM) and nothing innovative on the horizon. The Treo with WinMobile...well, the less said, the better. With all of them the browser is a joke; it isn't even a true browser, it's a portal into a proxy browser.
    The iPhone has the potential, but isn't going to have 20,000 apps in June. I expect only a small number of useful apps. I currently carry both the iPhone and a Palm T|X, because the 60 or so Palm apps I had on my Treo are not available on the iPhone. And the only reason I am allowed to carry an iPhone for business use is because my IT department is very liberal (meaning the IT manager has an iPhone). For the iPhone to meet both my business needs and personal needs it has to do what my T|X does. That includes a full-featured calendar app like Pimlico Software's DateBook6, a contact manager like Phone Magic, a travel planner like WorldMate, a good outliner (Bonsai), a project planner (project@hand), An office app (Documents to Go) a database (HanDBase), some decent games, crossword puzzles, etc.
    So to answer your initial question, I don't think it's going too business like, but it needs to keep a balance. The business functionality is essential to expand the market further and make the 10 million that Apple wants to sell this year. so it has to be there.

    i work for visa appointment date from a website.....
    i use some add ons such as imacros for recording form,reload every,multifox,js switch, i work for a visa form appointment date and time.. but the server i work for is too jam and busy..when its time for submit the form for appt. date and time i can't load the page and css on account of server business.. for that i need some tips and mozilla add ons for reloading the pages most strongly that business and jamming of server can"t effect on my pages...i need to keep the pages alive with temporary file id of the form for long time before submitting it for date and time. but, if i don't reload the pages after 5-10 mins the page session get expired.Bcause the server got a heavy load from the users. but when tkere have no times for appointment and date, the pages session do not expire within 1 hour if i reload it in the meantime the page can't reload at once. sir if there have any solution through mojilla addons, about config or any editing with the sites css or html or tr or anything else please help me.. i m in huge problem. the sites name is"http://indianvisa-bangladesh.nic.in/visa/ i need a add ons which can help me to keep the web pages alive for a long time if the server is reset,too busy,session expire or so jam..and a reload add ons which can reload a . reset,too busy,session expire or so jam server at once and quickly

    I recently sent an email to a friend, who is NOT a Facebook friend, who has a yahoo email account, and my Facebook profile picture appeared next to the email. My privacy settings on FB only allow FB friends to see my photo. Why is another yahoo account that is not a FB friend seeing my profile photo and is there a Yahoo privacy setting that will eliminate this from happening? Thank you.

    Facebook may have changed them as part of a software update.
    Is there a link in that email (signature) with a link to that picture?
