Not working JavaBean

hi, i'm getting problems with my javaBean in TOMCAT, i'm sure i place them in the right class folder,
do i have to set any path with the command prompt first?

Not working JavaBeanWhat do u means? Can u post the error message?
Right place for JavaBean class in tomcat:
1) WEB-INF/classes
2) WEB-INF/lib/yourjar.jar, where ur java bean is jarred into yourjar.jar
(Some time ago, i try to put it in classes directory instead of package in jar, the java bean is not regconized by the tomcat, but i forgot the tomcat version)

Using JavaBean with JSP...will not work no matter what

Hi guys. Sorry that this is such a common, newb question, but I don't know where else to turn.
I'm new to web application development, Tomcat, and JSP. I'm trying to use a simple JavaBean in a JSP to store some user information. The JSP is located in $CATALINA_HOME\webapps\art , and the UserBean I'm trying to use is in $CATALINA_HOME\webapps\art\WEB-INF\classes . I've tried adding a context in the Tomcat server.xml file, but nothing seems to work, even putting the .class file into the \art directory along with the JSP. The error I get is the following:

Thanks for any and all help anyone could give me about this. It seems such a simple thing, to get a JavaBean working in a JSP...and it's very frustrating to have it NOT work when it seems I've done everything possible to get it to.

Ok, I figured out what the problem was. My Bean was not a part of any specific package. It was never made clear to me that Beans are required to be a part of some package...I had no idea (though they always put them in packages in the tutorials, you think I would have picked up on it!).
So I just added the following line to the Bean:
package com.art;
Then compiled it and copied the .class file to CATALINA_HOME\webapps\art\WEB-INF\classes\com\art

Binding not working when returning to same page

Hi, Im developing a portlet that access some data from MYSQL.
I have a simple page with several textfields, all with bindings to a javabean object that is a property of SessionBean1 bean, so it is a Session Scope bean.
In that page I put some buttons like next, prior, etc. to navigate between all registers of my DB. I added some code to event button like this:

The problem is that when I get next register of database, bindings are not reflecting new values, always holding first values. I tried to force things by setting values in pre-rendering face manually with setText method of textfields but nothing happens.
As Im a newbie in Java yet I really don't undestand this, I have readed all JSF life cycle documention and portlet life cycle docs but couldn't find an answer. Why binding is not working?

Thanks for this. Unfortunately now I have tried with Standard actions the links do not work at all. The links provided were created with spaces so contained within the links are lots of '%20'. e.g. :

for some reason when creating the links with standard actions, when the project is published the links have changed to contain 25s e.g.

InfoButton PJC Demos for Forms (tooltip buttons) - not working

I am new to using PJC and JavaBeans in forms. I have on my laptop Oracle Developer Suite 10g (10.1.2.0.1) and Forms Demos version 9.0.4.2.0 I downloaded from OTN. I studied InfoButton PJC application (buttons that show tool-tips at mouse-over).
Now, I want to create in one of my old forms such a button. I followed exactly the steps of the demo, that is:
1. I created a form with a button TEST_BUTTON for which I set the Implementation Class property to oracle.forms.demos.enhancedItems.InfoButton.
2. On the form's canvas I also created a text item named INFO with the following properties:
X Position = 255
Y Position = 107
Width = 100
Height = 100
3. At form level, I created the trigger WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE in order to set the button's properties as follows:

When executing the form, the button has round margins as said in the documentation; at mouse over the cursor takes the form of a small hand but there is no tool tip. I receive no errors, only that it doesn't show the tool tip.
I don't understand why it's not working, what I did wrong ...
When setting the 'INFOBUTTON_FIELDPOS' property - input parameter X,Y - the documentation says: "This property should be set to a string containing a X,Y comma separated pair providing the location of the target field in pixels relative to the top left hand corner of the window. The X,Y pair simply has to define a point anywhere within the target field, it doesn't have to exactly define the corner".
What is the target field? The text item I created at step 2)? The documentation is not clear here ...

Actually I'm having a multi record block in which all the emp no., days of attendance, etc will be displayed when I click on the search button. My requirement is when point the mouse over the emp no, the emp name must be displayed as a Tool tip text. My fields are non-editable, so Post-Change is not working. I placed the coding in the When-new-item-instance - in this case the emp name is displayed, but only for the first field, when I move the mouse to second and third fields, the empname of that particulart field is displayed as a tool tip but in the first field only.
Any other suggestions?

the database is not updating...its updating when i am giving values directly to update query..why?help me plzzz..With all that Java code in your JSPs, it doesn't look like you are in the final touch of learning JSP, but just at the beginning. Try to move all that java code into Servlets and JavaBeans. The JSP should be all about display, and nothing else.
What is your problem? I don't know. All that unformatted code is un-readable. On top of being scriptlet code which is hard enough to read.
You should search the logs to see if there is an error message hidden in there. That is one of the major problems with putting regular Java code in JSPs, the error messages get hidden, and become near impossible to translate.

REP-51018 -- cookie method is not working :(

Trying to invoke a simple report from a simple form by using web.show_document()
if I pass the userid=x/y@z then it work fine
if I try to use the cookie method as defined in the OTN whitepaper "Secure Web.Show_Document() calls to Oracle Reports", I am bumping to the REP-51018 error.
Tried the metalink and found primarily 2 documents, one (note#279938) is suggesting using
SYNCHRONIZE; prior to invoking the WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT(...), which I did - not worked,
then I read the document (#309652.1) which tells that the cookie method will not work if not using fully qualified domain name -- I have a fully qualified domain name and I can see in the browser cookie settings that the domain is set correctly.
I also edited the basejini.htm and basejpi.htm files and added the suggested entries as shown in the same OTN whitepaper (page #9). And recycled the entire iAS server after all the editing (reports.sh, formsweb.cfg, etc).
I can see the cookie is saved on the client browser and the userid is displayed in the JInitiator control window.

"Next" and "Previous" functionality on UIX tables not working with 10g

With new release of JDeveloper(10G), the "Next" and "Previous" navigation buttons/links on UIX tables are not working. I tried different approaches:
1. It does not work with Data Controls built from Java Beans or from TopLink.
2. I tried without using Data Controls and it still does not work.
I shows "Next" and "Previous" buttons on the page. But it shows all records on the page rather then showing limited records. Say for example if the block size is 5 and total number of records are 15, it shows all 15 records in the table but the "next" and "Previouds" button would say "1-5 of 15".
Did any of you observe the same behaviour?

When I said that the total number of records is 15, I
meant that my tableData's DataObjectList contains 15
entries. (In case of DataControls you don't even use
DataObjectList, but for my non data control
applications I used DataObjectList). You are saying
that If I want to display only 5 records per page
then I will need to provide a DataObjectList with
five items. Then for next five records from 6-10 I
will have to program in such a way that my method
call returns 6-10 records.That's correct. In the case where you are explicitly providing data to the table via a DataObjectList, you need to feed the data to the table in page size blocks - and you also need to handle the table's goto event to scroll the table to the next/previous block of data.
In previous version of
UIX(2.1.7) I never had to program for next and
previous buttons. UIX tables used to take care of
that. That's why I am so surprised.It sounds like you must have been using the <bc4j:table> component. Is that the case?
Getting back to your original issue...
1. It does not work with Data Controls built
from Java Beans or from TopLink.I believe that this is a bug in the preview release - and I'm fairly sure this will be addressed by production. In production, ADF should automatically handle wiring up table scrolling for you when binding your table to a data control - whether the data control is implemented via JavaBeans, Toplink, or BC4J. I believe that in the preview release, scrolling only working when binding to a BC4J data control.

Flash 11 not working

I just installed flash 11.0.1.152 and all youtube videos are not working. Running Firefox 7.0.1, and Windows 7. All are 64bit. Videos just say a missing plugin needs to be installed and tries to get me to download flash 10. Also I already tried uninstalling, redownloading and installing again.

Not work tablet UI on Prestigio 5080 PRO tablet

I read that browser.ui.layout.tablet = "1" can fix this problem. But it not works. I can work only in pnone interface that is not good for my 8'' tablet.

I have maintained access sequences of free goods self-defined.but when i creat the SO it does not work!
when i used the standard access sequences ,it is OK .
Can anybody tell me why?

Go to V/N1 transaction select your self defined access sequence then go in to the accesses and fields and check all fields are activated.
Make sure that these fields are flowing in your sales order.

I was under the impression that photoshop cc would not even install on windows vista.
What version of camera raw do you have?
In photoshop under Help>About Plugin does it list Camera Raw and if so which version is it?
(click on the words Camera Raw to see the version)
Camera raw doesn't work if it's a camera raw file or some other file type such as jpeg or tif?
What camera are the camera raw files from?
Officially camera raw 8.3 is the latest version of camera raw that will work on windows vista.

Adobe Bridge CS5 in windows 7 not working. I was using bridge perfectly for last 2 years. It stops working since 3 days. I tried to install updates. Showing some error to install.
Tried to install creative cloud..again some error. Error code : 82

Partner application logoff not working

We have a partner application registered with sso with custom login screen. The login works fine. We use the following code to logoff the partner application in logoff.jsp

session.invalidate();
but the logoff is not working properly. It is not invalidating the session and the logout http request is not going from the application server to the sso server.
Are there any additional configurations for SSO logoff.Any help is appreciated.

The WF should also trigger if i add the Partner function in UI.If i change any Attribute the WF triggers but i dont want to change the attribute when i add the partner function.
If i have only one event for WF that is Partner Change the WF will not trigger it for the 1st time when i save the UI. But next i come to the same saved doc and add a partner function then the Wf triggers.
So this means that Partner change is active.
the issue here is i need to trigger the WF on , the 1st time i save the UI, for which i wil be using Attribute Change and next time when i come back to saved doc the and add only the partner function and no changes are made to attributes the WF should again trigger.

IPhone 4 Voice Memos not working/saving

Hi there,
I'm having trouble with my voice memos too. Up until yesterday they were working fine and now, even though the record button works, the stop button does not and I can only pause them. Worse again is that the button to go into the menu to view all voice memos is not working so I can't play them from my iPhone and nothing new is saving to my iTunes. Please help!

I've always had the "Include Voice Memos" option selected. I think that only pertains to syncing voice memos from iTunes to the iPhone after it has been copied to iTunes. It has to be the new OS/iTunes not communicating that new memos have been recorded. For some reason they won't sync when I want them to, and then a few syncs later they magically appear.
By the way, I'm VERY comfortable with the iTunes and iPhone systems. I've been using iTunes for 5 years, and I've been recording class lectures with the iPhone voice memo app (and another app) for a couple years. It's not an error of not seeing that the memos were added; they don't exist in my library or music folders.
JUST OUT OF CURIOSITY, POST WHICH FIRMWARE YOU ARE RUNNING EXACTLY!!!
I'm on an iPhone 4, running firmware 4.0.1
