Notification light blinks slowly

Is there a way to have the notification light blink more frequently? It currently blinks every 12-15 seconds. I really don't want to download an app for it.

Thanks for checking. I've scoured the web about this and others are
frustrated with the light, too. Only fix is an app or possible update at

Nokia E7 notification light blinks on SMS delivery

Guys
Previously I had to format and factory reset my nokia e7 , after the format I found out that when I send and SMS and I receive the delivery , the notification light start blinking , and as soon as I touch the touch screen or press on any of the phone buttons ( like the home key, volume or unlock ) it stops blinking , I'm sure it only has to blink when I receive an SMS , not when I receive a delivery.
Do you guys know how I can fix this issue ?

you must have been enabled the SMS delivery reoprt opption. whenever you send an sms it will get the delivery report an assume that it has something for you.
if you wish to stop it please disable the sms delivery report option and see your self. it will be fix.
and its a feature that phone let you know for delivery report as well.

Linksys EA6500 router power light blinks slowly, not reachable

Hoping somebody can help me with this. I bought a Cisco Linksys EA6500 router a couple of years ago. For various reasons I ended up not actually unboxing it until today. It got left at my mom's place and well, it just didn't get unboxed until today. I connected it, ran the Setup disc and after a little bit of trouble, I got it to work OK. I was using the Admin panel and setting the guest network password etc. Everything seemed great. But then I had the idea to upgrade the Firmware, because I figured the router was a couple of years old, it probably needs a Firmware upgrade. From the admin page I clicked the "Check for upgrades" to the Firmware, but it gave me a red error message "Upgrade server not available" (or something to that effect). I clicked instead on "Manual update" and I had downloaded this file: FW_EA6500v2_1.1.40.166281_prod.img The firmware upgrade process started, there was a progress bar that went for a while, and when that reached the end, I got a spinning wheel animation. This however, never went away. Just spun and spun. I went for a coffee, came back 15 minutes later, it was still spinning and nothing else had happened. I looked at the router itself, and the white CISCO power led on the front of the router is blinking slowly. Kind of fading up and down. I waited another while and then I had waited probably 20 minutes, so I gave up and unplugged the router from the power, waited a few seconds and plugged it back in. Ever since I did this process, it's like completely dead. The CISCO power led is fading up and down. I've tried a 30-30-30 reset. I've connected it to a PC ran the setup program (EA6500v1.2.0.14212.1-Setup.exe). The setup program just reports that it can't reach or find the router. It's like completely broken. I've tried it with two different PC's. None of them can even acknowledge that the router exists. Meanwhile, the power light keeps fading up and down... I only got about 15 minutes use out of my brand new (albeit unboxed for 2 years) EA6500 before, it appears, the Firmware upgrade process completely broke the whole thing. Since my computer doesn't even manage to connect to the router on ANY level, I'm unable to see or change any settings or anything like that. I do have the "reset" button on the back of the router and I've tried it several times (including holding it for over 1 minute), but nothing makes any difference. Sorry about the lengthy post.... I probably could have explained this shorter: Router unresponsive - power LED fading up/down - Setup program does not find router. Anybody able to offer any help?? Thanks in advance.

If you have already tried to use other browsers or computer, try the management mode process. 1st you will need to download the firmware file and teh TFTP software. connect your computer to the modem inorder to have internet access (set your IP to obtain). Download the firmware here: http://www.linksys.com/us/support-article?articleNum=148365 TFTP software is available here: http://downloads.linksys.com/downloads/Tftp.exe Reconnect the computer back to the router and set it back to static IP. E51 notification light keeps blinking

Hi, I have a E51 phone. The problem is that the notification light will not stop blinking as long as the phone is on, even if there is no sim inside and the notification light blinking is disabled. It blinks at iregular but very short intervals. Has someone encoutered this problem before?

Notification Light

Does anyone know how to turn the email notification light OFF? I saw it one time and cannot get back to it, nor find my manual. My personal email is linked to the phone, and it CONSTANTLY leaves the notification light blinking all day long as I get emails. If I do not keep checking and clearing this light, it will drain my battery juice before I am even off work at 5. I would LOVE to link my work email to my phone as well, BUT i do not want it to send me email notifications all night long too, when I am sleeping and the other side of the world is emailing me. Help? Droid RazR.

I will just check a few times a day. I get a hundred email a day for work, and like 20-30 a day personal. So i will always check but when this notification bar is up, and blinking light, it bogs down the battery seriously. I use a kill apps widget to kill all open/active apps so it it not that. There is a difference on my phone battery lasting longer on days i dont have as many emails and a constant blinking light. Thanks.

To all you razr/ razr maxx owners: Is the notification light supposed to blink on missed calls and messages until you wake the phone again? My notification light blinks once only, and I cannot find anywhere within settings where you can adjust the settings of the LED light.

I don't remember if mine blinks on missed calls but if there's email it will continue to blink until I use the pull down notification or check the email. Simply unlocking the screen does not stop the blinking. The light is green.
For messaging I use Go SMS Pro and have set it up within the app to blink red. I don't know off hand what the stock text messaging app does.
I don't have very fancy needs with notification lights, but Light Flow is highly recommended by others who want a lot of controls in that area.

LED Notification Light Constantly Blinks

My D2Global is falling apart. First the home key went on the fritz as well as part of the touchscreen. Now out of nowhere the notification light is constantly blinking when the phone is on lock. I powered off, powered on - still blinking. I turned off and pulled out the battery, turn it back on - still blinking.
I don't have any new apps installed. No messages or notifications to check. I don't know what's going on.This has never happened before. It's only just year and 2 weeks old.

I hate that you are experiencing these problems with your Motorola Droid 2 Global device. I would like to assist.
First, a few questions to help determine the root cause of the problems. Did you notice the issues after downloading any specific applications? If so, I suggest removing the applications and testing the Home key again. Also, in regards to the unknown LED notification, check your call history / Recent calls to see if this will eliminate the LED blinking.
Please let me know the results of your testing.

Notification light on my device has stopped blinking when I receive a text message in fact not it blinks when I receive delivery reports
all settigs are set perfectly
I hv done hard reset
took it to care centre n got it re-installed ....it worked okay for few days but then the problem starts again
i am literally sick of these people at care centre, for every problem their solution is to get the software re-installed....i hv done it four times n still no help......it takes hours to restore the phone......so if anyone has solution other than format the device would be helpful

Nokia E61i Notification Light.

I have noticed that if someone leaves you a voicemail message the light doesn't blink.
It needs an option for voicemail messages in the Notification Light settings,so you can set the light to blink for voicemail messages.

This may be one of these cases where there may have been a change done to the notification system. What are the notifications that have been affected with the color change? I've visited East Delh(India) and Noida Sec 2 Service center but found there was no service center which address was mentioned there.I tried to update my software but failed into my attempt it's asking password everytime whenever I do a same. Please try this sequence...note that, throughout the entire 4h15m process, your BB must remain directly connected to a known-good wall charger (not PC USB, not a cradle):With the battery inside, connect your BB to the wall chargerLeave it alone for 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display doesRemove the batteryWait 15 minutesInsert the batteryWait another 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display doesThis has been known to "kick start" some BBs.
It is also possible that your battery or BB has experienced a problem...to test, this sequence is needed:Obtain an known good and already fully charged additional battery...use it in your BB and see what happensObtain access to a known good and identical BB...use your battery in it and see what happensThe results of this will indicate if it's your BB or your battery that has the problem. Note carefully please that "new" and "know good" are not necessarily the same things. While rare, a "new" battery certainly could be defective. Rather, the simplest (and least costly, btw) method to conduct this test is to find someone with an identical BB who has no issues...trade batteries and see what happens.  If possible, you could also attempt to boot into Safe Mode:KB17877 How to start a BlackBerry smartphone in Safe ModeIt may take you multiple attempts to get the ESC key sequence (press/release/hold) correct, so be patient. When/if successfully into Safe Mode, see what happens.
If the behavior ceases, then think carefully...what happened just before this behavior started? A new app? An update? A Theme? Something else? Think carefully as the smallest change could be causal...and attempt to undo whatever that was.

Notification light is on.

i have an Xserve machine, a very first one, and its out of warranty. i want to rebuild the machine but i'm unable to boot from the cd. all i'm gettin is a watch cursor and im not able to do any selections in bios. also amber light is on and even when i press the notification button it does not go away. since i cant boot from the cd im not able to run any hadrware diagnostic tools as well.
what are my options here?

ok, pulled the xserve off the rack and connected it
to g5 using firewire, turned it on and guess what?:)

Yes. Use the front panel mode to put the system into target disk mode by selecting light 5. Steps:
From power off, hold in the system ID button while pressing the power button. Continue holding in the system ID button until the top row of blue lights blinks sequentially. Release the system ID button, the rightmost light (light 1) will turn on. Press the System ID button to move the light to the left until the fifth light from the right (light 5) is lit. Hold in the System ID button for 2 seconds and you will go into target disk mode.
Note that, if you do the install onto the Xserve from your non-Xserve G5, the hardware monitor daemon will not be enabled on startup.
Hope this helps, but it solves your immediate dilemma.

I have no home screen just white light blinking. What to do?

I plugged my droid razr Maxx to my computer like I always do for charging. Now droid home screen or light won't turn on. I have a white blinking notification light but that is all.

A non-responsive device is a scary place to be. Let's see if we can get that to respond to you again. Disconnect the phone from the USB port. Press and hold the Volume down button (located on the right edge). While continuing to hold Volume down, press and hold the Power button until the device powers off and the notification stops(approximately fifteen seconds) then release all buttons. If the device does not power back on automatically within a minute press the power button for 3 to 5 seconds as you normally would to power back on. Let us know whether or not you get the device back in business.

Notification Light with Incoming Email and Gmail u...

Hi,
How do I configure email to blink the notification light when an email is received?
Also, I have 3 email accounts configured: Exchange and 2 Gmail accounts. I changed the Gmail accounts to sync email every 15 minutes. The Exchange account works but not the gmail accounts. Gmail has IMAP already enabled.
Any ideas?

The notification light only has options for new messages (SMS, VoiceMail, etc) and Missed Calls. I cant find the option for email.
For Gmail, mine worked when I used the normal Gmail icon when setting it up, but I didnt like it. I set up and Exchange email for my gmail so that it would sync my calendar as well. (The normal gmail option wont do this). I do remember with Anna that I had to DECLINE the terms of service when setting up the email for it to work. The last tidbit would be to check your retrieval settings. Mine first defaulted to 9am to 9pm Mon-Friday. Hope something helps.

The E51 notification light is always on

Since yesterday morning the notification light of my E51 mobile is on. It only turns off when I remove the battery. As soon as I put the battery back, the light is on (even without switching on my mobile). What could I do to turn it off?
I already tried several things:
software update from 200 to 300
turning off the use of the notification light for missed calls etc.
changing the time the notification light should blink (although it does not blink at the moment, it is just always on).
BTW: Should it be possible to construct a small Java application that turns off the notification light?

That's exactly the same problem, I guess. I tend to say it's a hardware problem.
In the service station they told me that this can be caused by some kind of moisture damage. Since it is quite expensive to let them check (and possibly repair) your mobile phone, I decided to buy a T6 screwdriver and to check it myself. I found some small oxidation/moisture stains, so I think the guys of the service station were right. Maybe we can try something else to turn it off forever? Breaking up the led light is quite hard, since it is very small. Please let me know if you've find a solution to this annoying problem. I'll do the same.
