Notifications Help

I have iPhone 5 & iPad Air both w/ iOS 7.1. Pre-iPad, my iPhone notifications (ESPN) appeared on lock screen. Since adding iPad to account, notifications only appear at top of my phone screen after I unlock phone but they show on iPad lock screen. Any suggestions?

Hello Fendas01,
It sounds like the notifications for the ESPN app behave differently on your phone than they do on the iPad. You can configure this in Settings:
Settings > Notification Center > <app name>

  • Aol email not working and phone vibrateing and ringing for notifications help me

    have jelly bean now and aol email is telling me server password is not found so i changed my password and that did not help. how can i fix it without doing a factory reset. could not delete email account at all. my other 2 email accounts are working fine. very annoying. also my phone is vibrateing and ringing for notifications and i just want it to ring. if i wanted my phone to vibrate i would put it on vibrate. would somebody be able to help me with my problems thanks. everything was working fine before jelly bean. also what happened to the notifications bubble on the lock screen i kind of thought that was handy to have.

        boychik0830,
    Never fear help is here! Congratulations on your Jelly Bean software update! Email, and ringers are very important, so let's get this fixed asap.
    You can delete the email account from the device http://bit.ly/PfAUeF , then re-add the email account back to the device. You change your ringtone settings from vibrate & ring to just ring in the sound settings menu. Hope this helps!

  • Asynchronous notification help

    Need some help with asynchronous notification…….
    This is my jolt client:

    svcMode = mode;
    svcPostedName = postedName;
    if ( svcMode.equals(ASYNC_UNSOLNOTIFY) ) {

    else if ( svcMode.equals(ASYNC_PUBSUB) ) {
    jEventPost = new JoltUserEvent(svcPostedName, null, jSessAsync);
    I have simpapp configured and running. My client was able to successfully use the TOUPPER service advertised by tuxedo (jolt).
    I do not know when an unsolicited message will be triggered by tuxedo to test the async unsolicited msg with my client works. My client overrides the onReply() method the seems to be perfect. Please suggest few scenarios where I can receive an unsol-notification.
    For event notification I was asked to try subscribing to system events. In that case what should be the value of svcPostedName in:
    jEventPost = new JoltUserEvent(svcPostedName, null, jSessAsync); ?{color}
    My client doesnt take any expressionsas svcPostedName--that sounds like a bug, is it a bug?

    Hi Anish,
    You should receive an unsolicited notification when a server does a tpbroadcast() or tpnotify(). So if you want to receive an unsolicited notification with simpapp, you'll need to modify simpapp to either perform tpbroadcast() or tpnotify().
    You'll receive an event when an event is published that matches your subscription expression. Remember there are two different types of events, user events, and system events. As for the event name for system events, I would try in order:

  • App Store Update Notifications Help

    Hello all.
    First time poster and first time apple product owner. I just bought an iPad (3rd Gen) last week. I'm hooked and absolutely love it. I am having an issue with two apps in regards to their update notifications in the app store. The twitter app and hbogo app currently show that an update is available. When I click update or update all, I am prompted to enter my password and after doing so i receive the Could Not Connect to iTunes Store message. This is only happening for these two apps. Moments ago I had 6 update notifications and when hitting update all the four other apps updated and two notifications remain for twitter and hbogo. I checked these forums already and was unable to find anything on the issue. Any insight into this problem would be appreciated. My thanks in advance.
    Sincerely,
    Satisfied Apple User

    Rebooting one's iPad can often cure odd issues.  To reboot, press and hold BOTH the power and home buttons at the SAME time for at least 10 seconds (ignore the red slider to shut down) until the Apple Logo appears, then let go of both buttons and your iPad will restart.  You will not lose any data or settings.  See if you can update both apps after your iPad comes back up.
    If that does not help, the next suggestion would be to delete the two apps, then redownload them.  Once you've purchased or downloaded an app, it stays in your Apps Library and can be redownloaded at anytime in the future.  To delete an App, hold your finger on any app until all apps start to jiggle.  You'll see an X on the upper right hand side of the apps you can delete (native apps can never be deleted) and all you do is touch the X and you'll be asked if you are sure, say yes, and the app will be deleted.  Then go to your purchased tab in iTunes and redownload the apps.

    Hi Anthony,
    Two things you can check:
    1. Ensure the notification number you are passing is valid, i.e. it has the requisite number of leading 0s (apply CONVERSION_EXIT_ALPHA_INPUT to ensure to the field notif_no before passing it to ls_header)
    2. In the function module to SAVE_TEXT - INSERT should be 'X' not 'x'
    Please check.

  • Quality Notifications - Items / tasks / activities / overview / causes / ..

    Hi PLM specialists,
    I do have a question concerning quality notification, type F2 - vendor error. I do get the following tabs: reference objects, subject, processing: that's clear.
    But there are also these tabs: items, tasks, activities. The tab items has the following subtabs: overview, causes, tasks and activities.
    Does anyone has an idea concerning their use and what is the difference between the subtabs tasks, activities and the tabs tasks and activities?
    Thanks!

    Dear Peter,
    The use of Item level Tasks and Header level task have been mentioned in SAP help.
    Basicaly Header level tasks are referred as "Immediate Tasks", These tasks provide a quick fix  for a problem  requiring immediate attentione and header level activities are referred as activities done immediately attend the same.
    Item level tasks are " Corrective Tasks". These tasks usually provide final solutions that wil prevent the problem for reccuring.
    For eg if you get a vendor rejection in your shop the immediate action will to intimate to the concerned person quickly and remove it to block location. So your immedite task can be of like 1) Communicate the production personnel 2) block the material 3) block the vendor 4) inform vendor and activities can be of like 1) email send to vendor 2) material moved to block 3)deliveries return back to vendor etc
    But as you know notification refers to a particular defect. So we need to take necessary corrective and preventive actions. SAP notification helps in doing this also. The item level entries are basicaly meant for this. In Item overview we can enter the defects that was noted on the material, you can maintain relevant causes for the same. Corrective tasks can be of like 1) Audit at vendors place 2) activation of source inspection 3) tighten the inspection standards and relevant activities done to achieve the tasks can also be maintained. This also helps in creating the 8D reports
    So a detailed analysis of the problem is dealt in the item level Cause, tasks & activities while immediate action get covered in the header datas.
    Hope this helps in clarifying your doubt
    Regards
    Gajesh

  • Notification process

    While creating manual notification in the header there is three flag is there
    Postpone,complete,process
    what is three three flag mean for and when we want to use this flag
    pls tell me the process in making till end of the process in sap for notification
    What is the outstanding notification means
    Faisal

    Hii,
    Notification in Process - Once you have created a quality notification and entered all of the facts of the problem, you can put the notification in process. When you put a notification in process, you are releasing the notification for processing
    Notification Potponemnet - In some cases, it may be necessary to delay the processing of a quality notification (for example, because the assigned tasks cannot be performed yet or because the defects analysis has not been completed).
    Notf complete - You complete a quality notification when the notification problem has been solved and no further processing is required. After you complete a notification, the data in the notification can no longer be changed. You can then only display the notification.
    When a notification is completed, it receives the status NOCO (notification completed).
    Detailed level info:
    Basicaly Header level tasks are referred as "Immediate Tasks", These tasks provide a quick fix for a problem requiring immediate attentione and header level activities are referred as activities done immediately attend the same.

  • Top 10 Most Reasonable Feature Requests for BlackBerry 10.3

    Real DNA wrote:- In this post I am going to list some of the most reasonable features that I think would be doable and useful for the next installment of the BB10 OS. I'm going to leave out any concept-like ideas and or major overhauls and focus on things that I feel could become a reality.
    1) Ability to hide shadow boxes around app icons on home screen
    Michael Clewley already hinted that this ability would be in 10.2.1, but during some of the leaked builds and announcements, it doesn't really seem like it will be coming in this release. If it doesn't come in official builds of 10.2.1, then it should be very likely to appear in 10.3. In the meantime, an easy way to get rid of the shadowboxes is by using a dark or black wallpaper
    2) Ability to adjust App grid sizes on home screen
    Following up on the first point, so far there are 3 app grid configurations for BB10 devices: 3x4 on Q devices, 4x4 on the Z10 and 5x4 on the Z30. Having the option to pick between those layout and potentially adding more (3x3 or 5x5) seems like something doable. Now for Q devices it might seem like something a bit unnecessary considering the already cramped screen size, well you would be right in thinking that except for this...is an image I will post in my album.
    Granted, that's a bit impractical, but it was pretty nice having the option to basically have 4 or 6 columns. Since they've done it before and the BB10 phones have bigger screens, why not?
    3) Ability to hide icons
    Another feature from legacy devices was the ability to hide redundant or just rarely used icons from sight. It would certainly be a good way for me and other people to not have a folder like this...also an image.
    4) Limitless Folders
    BlackBerry, why are we limited to only 16 apps per folder? Something like this is pretty simple since you could literally put EVERY SINGLE app you had in one folder in PlayBook OS and BB7. (I've done it before)
    5) Customizable Fonts
    Something I that I think was a bit underrated in legacy devices was the ability to customize fonts. I loved having a crisp and professional Times New Roman font or Sans Serif when I wanted to play around and experiment. I don't have a problem with the standard BB10 "Slate" font, but options are always nice.
    6) Customizable LED
    I know this is something a lot of people have been wanting for a very long time, so 10.3 might finally be the time for it. There are plenty of very good apps that do this, but when I realized that LG's Android JellyBean skin on the G2 had the ability right out of the box, I figured now would be as good a time as any for BB (who's most notable for the LED notification light) to have it built in.
    7) Battery Saver Mode
    Z10 owners, I know you would really appreciate this. Introduced in BB OS 7.1 was a battery saver mode to help increase the longevity of your device when it gets to a certain percentage. And with me having a Curve 9350 with a measly 1000 mAh battery at the time, this was a life saver.

    I would be able to squeeze out a couple more hours of extra use with the mode enabled at 40-50%. For Z10 owners especially, this feature could potentially wipe out one of the biggest or only real major flaw: the battery life. This could also be great for the Z30 and Q10 owners already getting stellar battery life.
    Universal Dark/Light Theme and Dark Hub option
    This one would be huge in terms of aesthetics and potentially power saving. (Form and function at its finest) For all users having the ability to customize all of the native apps or specific ones to be light or dark adds a nice amount of customization to the devices. Having a Dark hub seems like a great way to increase battery life even more especially if the device is used mainly for communication. If you spend most of your time in the hub anyway, you might as well preserve battery life while enjoying the sleekness it brings.
    9) Landscape Home screen, Peek, and Flow
    I'm not going to mention the fact that the PlayBook and Torches could do this because that would be beating a dead horse. I, however, will mention two great benefits it would bring:
    1) Playing games, watching videos, or typing using the landscape keyboard layout - Its a minor annoyance to have to turn the device back to portrait orientation or have to leave the app completely to view where and who my notification is from. BB Flow is arguably a way to differentiate from the normal way of doing things, the "in and out paradigm" if you will, so having this essentially nullified when the device is in landscape just seems counter-intuitive. Keeping the flow consistent enhances the user experience and it just seems more cohesive overall. Also its a bit weird returning to the home screen while your device is in landscape and its set to portrait. Granted the actionable notifications help, but the full solution is best.
    2) HDMI out/ Miracast "Mobile Computing" - One of the things that former CEO Thorsten Heins really talked about was the ability to simply plug into a monitor and have your phone truly be your home/ office/ mobile computer. That's great, but it doesn't really work when my output on a widescreen monitor only takes up maybe a third of the screen real estate (not that big a problem for Q devices). Having a landscape home screen just makes sense if you use or potentially want to use your device for something like that.
    10) Android 4.4 Kit Kat Application Support
    BlackBerry is pushing this Android runtime really hard as far as getting more apps and making sure they run as smooth as possible, so it just seems like a no-brainer for them to stay as up to date as possible. Considering the BB10 upgrade cycle 10.2 in September/October and 10.2.1 in January/February it should be expected that a 10.3 release would be in Spring or an early summer. By then Android Kit Kat should have a decent amount of marketshare among android users, so most apps should be updated to support it by then.
    That's my list so feel free to tell me what you think or if I missed anything REASONABLE. Some honorable mentions would be customizing the bottom dock, an equalizer, further pull down enhancements and integration with Skydrive and Google Drive in the native file manager.

    - contacts syncing with yahoo & Outlook (almost two weeks trying to work around it and no luck)
