Novice AccessControlException Problem

Question

I am trying to get my first servlet to work correctly from an applet on a different machine. Here are the facts.
1. The applet works correctly using localhost running on the same machine as Tomcat.
2. The servlet URL works correct when entered directly in the browser from anywhere:
http://66.80.151.137:8080/examples/servlet/GetLetterDescriptionServlet?letter=A
3. The applet fails when running on a different machine from Tomcat.

cServlet is a Communication() object from Speegle's JDBC book. I can get you the small number of lines of code if you need it.

Applets have built in security that you only can connect back to the originating server (the server from where the applet is downloaded).
To get past this, you most use a signed applet.
