I am unable to do a new InitialContext() in an application that does not have any sipservlets , but is deployed on sip server engine tier
When an application is deployed in weblogic engine server (sip server 3.1 ) without a sip.xml as the application does
Not have any sip servlets , a new InitialContext() throws a NullpointerException . The stack trace is below .

Hi B.,
have you managed to find the solution for this problem? I'm facing same issue.
I also tried to publish the WS in standalone app (via javax.xml.ws.Endpoint.publish()) and it worked with no problem that way. However, when I moved this to servlet definition, it failed.
Thanks a lot.

F.

• Faults in BPEL when invoked from a Custom built Web Application

Hello there,
I have developed a BPEL flow for a HealthCare demo and it works fine and all is well when it is invoked from the BPEL Console's initiate screen.
I developed a webapplication to invoke the same (using the regular com.collaxa api for invokation of any BPEL process). It invokes the BPEL successfully and I can see the whole Payload in the 'receiveInput' section of the BPEL Flow. But the very First 'Assign' in which i just assign a text string as a default value to an input element faults out stating that the 'to' field is a 'zero node'... The assign stage also shows the payload with all values in it. But it errors out...
here is the payload in the 'receiveInput' stage:
<inputVariable>
<part name="payload" >
<HealthCareWorkFlowProcessRequest>
<enduser_name>pavan</enduser_name>
<enduser_phone_number>08046521345</enduser_phone_number>

<receptionist_email_id>[email protected]</receptionist_email_id>
</HealthCareWorkFlowProcessRequest>
</part>
</inputVariable>
Here is the ASSIGN stage errors out (copied to clipboard):

oops... sorry... I had typed it in as there is no way to copy that 'error message' on to the clipboard from the BPEL FLOW depiction.
it must have read 'HealthCareWorkFlowProcessRequest'...
the problem is not with the typo... :(
Am not able to find the root cause... but the flow fails when invoked from my web application...

• Under Windows 8.1, Adobe Drive crashes on File- Check In... when invoked from an Adobe creative application.

I am testing my drive connector on Windows 8.1 (64-bit) using Adobe Drive (5.0.2) with Photoshop CC (15.1.0.148) and Bridge CC (6.1.0.116), and I find that if I use File->Check In... from the creative apps (I checked InDesign too), the application crashes inside of AdobeDriveUI.dll. The crash happens as it attempts to display the dialog that solicits a Check In comment.
I have tried using both the 32-bit and the 64-bit version of Adobe Drive, but both exhibit the same issue. I am quite certain that my connector is not involved, as the crash happens in native code that collects the version comment *before* my ICheckInHandler instance gets called.
I am interested in any insight or work-arounds that might exist. Thanks for any help!

Thank you for the Replay,
I performed steps provided by you , but it did not help.
on other hand, i have collected some more data regarding
this issue.
1. went to SAFE Mode and tried to run the application from USB
2. got Exception "The instruction at 0x00407038 referenced memory at 0x00000078. The memory could not be read"
some more info on setup :
we have a micro controller on board, some part of memory (present on board) is used to keep application and server. we can open this memory via USB connection to PC. then we can see all files present at this memory on PC (behaves like externally connected
USB Drive) .
When we start this application . it will start the server . server will send 'request file' to controller soft. (this part is working fine), and controller will send back response , as soon as response file(RSP.txt) will appear in USB drive it will get corrupted
.(here RSP.txt file is present in controller USB decided memory but to open this we are using PC RAM). crashing of RSP.txt file will crash whole application. This RSP File is of FAT Type.
i have copied application in another external drive and tried to RUN application. it will not crash . but USB can not receive the "RSP.txt" (as it is not in communication with controller soft). and problem is in response file.

• "Error while parsing SOAP XML payload: no element found" received when invoking Web Service

Running PB 12.1 Build 7000. Using Easysoap. Error ""Error while parsing SOAP XML payload: no element found" received when invoking Web Service". This error does not appear to be coming from the application code. Noticed that there were some erroneous characters showing up within the header portion of the XML ("&Quot;"). Not sure where these are coming from. When I do a find within the PB code for """" it gets located within two objects, whereas they both reference a "temp_xml_letter". Not sure where or what temp_xml_letter resides??? The developer of this is no longer with us and my exposure to WSDL and Web Services is rather limited. Need to get this resolved...please.
This is the result of the search. Notice the extraneous characters ("""):

Maybe "extraneous" is an incorrect term. Apparantly, based upon the writeup within Wiki, the parser I am using does not interpret the """? How do I find which parser is being utilized and how to control it?
<<<
If the document is read by an XML parser that does not or cannot read external entities, then only the five built-in XML character entities (see above) can safely be used, although other entities may be used if they are declared in the internal DTD subset.
If the document is read by an XML parser that does read external entities, then the five built-in XML character entities can safely be used. The other 248 HTML character entities can be used as long as the XHTML DTD is accessible to the parser at the time the document is read. Other entities may also be used if they are declared in the internal DTD subset.

Lightroom 2.7 cannot use RAW photos from a Canon 5D Mark III. You need at least Lightroom 4.1

Hi Sujana,
For deploying Web Dynpro for Java application, J2EE_admin correct password must be stored in the scured area of config tool.
Your error show that J2EE_admin information is not correct.
So, Please ask your basis team to update new J2EE_ADMIN password or you can do it in scured area of config tool.
Hope this will helps you.
Thanks

• Error when invoking Rule Engine using Java API

Hi,
I have implemented a Java class which calls the Rule Engine to execute the rules. If I test by setting the value of the input inside a main method and get the output, it is working fine. The ruleset is also invoked and there is no problem. However, when I expose this java class as a web service and invoke the web service, I get the below error. I dont get the error if the .rules file is not present in the loaction mentioned. I get the error when the .rules file is present in the location. Not sure if this is an issue with the java call outs or loading the dictionary.

Hi, I am getting a similar error when I deploy my application on the weblogic server.
Could you detail how this was resolved?
Thanks,

• Null Pointer Exception when invoking Database Adapter

The error reads as follows
<2008-06-27 11:34:02,558> <ERROR> <p1.collaxa.cube.ws> <AdapterFramework::Outbound>

[ InsertAHis_ptt::insert(AHisCollection) ] - Could not invoke operation 'insert' against the 'Database Adapter' due to:
java.lang.NullPointerException
NB Just about the same process (minor differences in the payload) was launched at just about the same time, but that one did not cause an error.
The error happened two days after a release. It was the first invocation of the service
after that release. This may or may not have something to do with this error.
There was no database shutdown, only a restart of the application server
We cannot reproduce the error; this means that we don't have an extended log with more information on the error.
Do you have more information on errors like this one?
Thanx

Hi,
To use the ServiceControl you need to be in a container that supports controls. This is what will instantiate your control for you, and take care of the some of the services controls require.
So to use the ServiceControl you'll need to invoke it from another web service, a page flow, or another control.
If you need to invoke from a standard main program, one option would be to use a standard WLS JAX-RPC client. This can be generated with their <clientgen> ant task.
Hope this helps.

what i noticed here is in Oracle BPM Studio there is weblogic jar file which contains Kernel status file. The KernelStatus file do not have "isThinIIOPClient method". But in wlclient jar file there is Kernel status class which contains "isThinIIOPClient" method.
How can I override the weblogic.jar and wlclient.jar for Oracle BPM?
Please help me to resolve this problem.

Hi,
There are many issues with EPMA 9.3.1 and the patches address these issues, so you really need to install them before using it.

• Exit button not visible in standard applications

Hi all,
When we call a standard ESS application ( bank or address) from the detailed navigation, the exit button is not appearing in the application.
However, when we open the same application from the area page, the exit button is appearing correctly.
Any idea why this could be happening?
TIA!

For now, i have done all the settings ( sap.xss.menuhdr, sap.xss.menuargrp and sap.xss.menuarea iview parameters definition) for the ESS US role. So when i exit the application from this role, it takes me to the area page corresponding to this role. But when i exit the application from any other role, i get an error. This is probably because the system is searching for the area grp/area page that i had defined in the iview. Is there a way i can define multiple area grp/area pages for the same iview/application?
>
> TIA.
Hello Diana,
no you cant. In this case the system wouldnt know which one to call. But as you have said you have multiple roles each role has its own (version) iview of the area- and areagrouppage. You just have to change the iView setting by editing the iview which you embedded into the role. Open the role and click you through to the iview, adjust the view properties to pass the correct areapage as application parameter. By doing this you neither change the settings of the original iview nor do you change the properties of the iviews of the other roles.
I hope this helps,
regards
Markus
