NullPointerException in weblogic.wsee.bind.internal.FormQualifiedHelper.get

WL90, trying to access a web service as a client. Stubs generated using wl clientgen ant task. On trying to create the service object, I get thrown a null pointer exception deep within weblogic. Any ideas?

Hi all,
I'm experiencing similar issues at the moment with Weblogic 9.2 MP2.
I generated stubs from WSDLs and try to call a WebService from a standalone client application. The weird thing is though, that if the same client code is executed from within the Weblogic container, everything works fine.
I get the following exception from the standalone app:
<WS data binding error>could not find schema type [the type follows here]

     at weblogic.wsee.jaxrpc.ServiceImpl.init(ServiceImpl.java:143)
     at weblogic.wsee.jaxrpc.ServiceImpl.<init>(ServiceImpl.java:111)
I suspect this might be a problem with class loader but it's just a guess.
What's worth mentioning is that the same standalone app works fine when stubs are generated and executed using Weblogic 9.1 libraries.
Anyone managed to solve the problem?
Regards,
Rob

  • NullPointerException in WebLogic while accessing web service from client

    Hi all,
    I have an SPML Web Service developed. The java class from WSDL was generated using wsdlc
    <wsdlc srcWsdl="schema/oracle_ws_spmlv2.wsdl" destJwsDir="${classes.dir}" type="JAXWS" explode="true"/>
    and then
    <jwsc classpath="..." classpathref="wls.jars" srcdir="src/main" destdir="${classes.dir}" keepGenerated="yes">
    <jws file="com/oracle/xmlns/idm/identity/webservice/spmlservice/SPMLService_SPMLServiceProviderSoapImpl.java" compiledWsdl="target/oracle_ws_spmlv2_wsdl.jar" type="JAXWS">
    <WLHttpTransport contextPath="OIMSPMLWebService" serviceUri="${ear.deployed.name}" portName="SPMLServiceProviderSoap"/>
    </jws>
    </jwsc>
    I have deployed the ear in WLS and generated the client classes.
    <clientgen wsdl="http://${weblogic.host}:${weblogic.port}/OIMSPMLWebService/OIMspmlxsd?WSDL" destDir="${classes.dir}" type="JAXWS"/>
    I run the client using java command from the terminal. First time, it runs fine. I get a valid response. But often, when I run it a second time, I get the following exception ... I need to undeploy and deploy the ear again. Any help will be appreciated!
    Following error appears.

    exclude sun implementions of the following jars jaxws-api-2.1.jar, jaxb-impl-2.1.7.jar, jaxws-api-2.1.jar и jaxws-rt-2.1.4.jar. Use Weblogic implemention which provides with weblogic server. These should fix the error.

    Strangely, the same app i deployed on the Unix Development Server & the it works perfectly fine.
    I went through all the forum solution, nothing has helped me out :(
    Please Help.
    Thanks.

    Hi Timo.
    Following are the answers.
    Which jdev version? --- 11.1.1.3.0
    Which kind of application? ---- It is a simple ADF fusion application.
    What Other systems your application talks to? --- Application is having DB as Oracle & Weblogic server, doesnt talk to any other systems.
    Which kind of security do you use? --- JAAS security.
    I have a login page. After entering the UID & PWD, it gets verified against JAAS. If it is a valid user it displays the Screen with all the records for that User.
    Problem is when i Click on the Login button, it tries to do something for a second & after a while it displays this exception on the screen.
    My Local server is a Windows server, while this same application works fine when deployed to a Unix Server. I checked all the configuration on both the servers, didnt get anything that makes any difference.
    Pls Help.
    Thanks.
    Tina.

    Did your C:\Lighthammer\Security\userdata\IlluminatorUsers.xml or other files in this directory get corrupted somehow?
    If you've rebooted the box or bounced the ServletExec-xMII service, do you see anything in the SYSTEM level messages that are forced during the initialization sequence in either the Lighthammer General log or the LHSecurity General log that would give any indications to the problem?

  • Weblogic 9.2 webservice client getting ClassCastException XmlTokenImpl

    Hi,
    I have written a webservice using the JAX-WS notation and Weblogic 9.2 MP3 libraries. I generated the server using jwsc and the client using clientgen. The server is working fine. But whenever I used the generated client stubs, I am getting this error:
    java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError
         at weblogic.wsee.ws.init.WsDeploymentChain.newClientChain(WsDeploymentChain.java:24)
         at weblogic.wsee.ws.WsFactory.callClientListeners(WsFactory.java:108)

         at sdo.client.SDOService_Impl.<init>(SDOService_Impl.java:17)
    Caused by: java.lang.ClassCastException: com.bea.xbean.values.XmlTokenImpl

         at weblogic.wsee.ws.init.WsConfigManager.<clinit>(WsConfigManager.java:8)
         ... 54 more
    I spent lots of time debugging this and I found that this exception was generated when weblogic/xbean is trying to parse the listener-class in wsee-config.xml:
    <wsee:listener-class>weblogic.wsee.policy.deployment.ClientPolicyDeploymentListener</wsee:listener-class>
    For some reason, this got converted to an XmlTokenImpl object and the code was trying to cast it to com.sun.java.xml.ns.j2Ee.FullyQualifiedClassType. I don't know why it wasn't converted to the right class. But I noticed that the wseeConfig.xsd has this:
    <import namespace="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/j2ee" schemaLocation="../../../../j2ee/descriptor/schemas/j2ee14/j2ee_1_4.xsd"/>
    Could it be that this "../../../../j2ee/descriptor/schemas/j2ee14/j2ee_1_4.xsd" is causing some issue?
    I had checked, double checked and triple checked my classpath and the jars I am using. I am using the weblogic.jar, xbean.jar, weblogic-container-binding.jar all from the Weblogic 9.2 MP3 server installation.
    Anyone has any idea on how to solve this? I am very stuck!

    Yes. I am using the 9.2 webservices. This is a new webservice I'm creating. The ant build.xml file to generate it is like this:
    <jwsc srcdir="${SRCDIR}/src" destdir="${EXPDIR}/webservice"
    tempdir="${WRKDIR}/webservice"
    verbose="on" debug="on"
    enableAsyncService="false"
    classpathref="our.custom.classpath" keepGenerated="true">
    <jws file="sdo/webservice/impl/SDOWSImpl.java"
    contextPath="SDO" name="SDOService">
    <WLHttpTransport contextPath="SDO"
    serviceUri="SDOService"
    portName="SDOService"/>
    </jws>
    </jwsc>
    The our.custom.classpath is as follows:
    <path id="our.custom.classpath">
    <pathelement location="${EXPTOP}/log4j/1.29/lib/log4j.jar"/>
    <pathelement location="${EXPTOP}/weblogic/9.23/lib/apache_xbean.jar"/>
    <pathelement location="${EXPTOP}/weblogic/9.23/lib/xbean.jar"/>
    <pathelement location="${EXPTOP}/weblogic/9.23/lib/weblogic.jar"/>
    <pathelement location="${EXPTOP}/weblogic/9.23/lib/wsse.jar"/>
    </path>
    I have to include xbean.jar here because if I didn't, I got "java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/bea/xml/XmlException" during the ant build.
    How do I make sure I use the 9.2 style xbeans?
    thanks!

  • Weblogic.wsee.wsdl.WsdlException: Unable to find namespace for prefix 'tns'

    Hello,
    I am encoutering a problem on Oracle Weblogic Version: 10.3.1.0 when trying to deploy a jax-ws webservice (stateless session bean).
    When starting the ear i get the exception below. On an other version of Oracle Weblogic (10.3.3.0) the exact same ear deploys flawlessly.
    I have no choice but to run on the "older version" so i hope there is a way out for this.
    Any help is welcome.
    Thank you.

  • Java.lang.ClassCastException: weblogic.wsee.jaxws.spi.WLSProvider

    My wlserver_10.3 throws the following 500 exception on the attempt to create an Endpoint. I'm using cxf-2.3.x which uses geronimo-jaxws_2.2_spec-1.0.jar where the the line Provider.java:43 simply calls "return (Provider) FactoryFinder.find(JAXWSPROVIDER_PROPERTY, DEFAULT_JAXWSPROVIDER);"
    LINE 42 - public static Provider provider() {
    LINE 43 - return (Provider) FactoryFinder.find(JAXWSPROVIDER_PROPERTY, DEFAULT_JAXWSPROVIDER);
    LINE 44 - }
    It appeared the different ClassLoader's cause issues with casting itself. I appreciate any suggestion in resolving this ...

    Thank you ... The ClassCastException has gone after I removed the entry but I got another exception below that also seems to do w/ using the wrong class. Please let me know if there is a configuration I should tweak for this?
    Another the question I have is if removing the file $WL_HOME/server/lib/weblogic.jar!/META-INF/services/javax.xml.ws.spi.Provider (or any similar file) from weblogic.jar will affect any of wlserver_10.3 internal/built-in functionality?
    Thanks,

    Plz reply me asap...!

    Hi,
    What I understood from your coding is...
    * navigate from <CONTEXT> to <NODE_FLIGHT> via lead selection
    Node_Node_Flight = wd_Context->get_Child_Node( Name = IF_VIEW1=>wdctx_Node_Flight ).
    You are reading values from the above node and binding the values to the same node.Am i right?
    Did you take seperate context node for your input fields or binded the above context to the fields.If not then read the context attribute values which are binded to the carrid and connid then pass these values to select query.
    One more thing is select cardinality 1..n for node NODE_FLIGHT since you are displaying more than one record.
    Go through the some basic tutorials.Search in sdn you will it get.Already there is a tutorial in sdn which explains exactly what do you require.

  • After applying custom keystore in weblogic admin_server, server is not get started

    Hi All, (Thanks in advance)
    I have a big problem now. I applied the SSL configuration to weblogic and OBIEE. It was working fine with Demo Keystore. After creating selfsigned keystore and applying to weblogic admin_server, the server get shutdown and now it is not starting. here is the log, I have checked the username/password many times. also I removed boot.properties file and it get generated again during startup.
    I used the following commands to generate custome keystores.
    $JAVA_HOME/jre/bin/keytool -genkey -keyalg RSA -alias selfsigned -keystore identity.jks \
      -dname "CN=`hostname`, OU=My Department, O=My Company, L=Birmingham, ST=West Midlands, C=GB" \
      -storepass password1 -validity 3600 -keysize 2048 -keypass password1
    $JAVA_HOME/jre/bin/keytool -selfcert -v -alias selfsigned -keypass password1 -keystore identity.jks \
      -storepass password1 -storetype jks -validity 3600
    $JAVA_HOME/jre/bin/keytool -export -v -alias selfsigned -file "`hostname`-rootCA.der" -keystore identity.jks \
      -storepass password1
    # Trust? yes
    $JAVA_HOME/jre/bin/keytool -import -v -trustcacerts -alias selfsigned -file "`hostname`-rootCA.der" \
      -keystore trust.jks -storepass password1

    Lauren,
    Actually, it does not appear as though the example itself is
    broken. The example looks the same as the one that worked fine under
    WLS 6.0. The example seems to expose a something that is broken (a
    regression?) in the codegen tool or in the API.

  • NullPointerException in weblogic.jdbc.rmi.SerialConnection.createStatement()

    Hello,
    we are running WLS 6.1 SP2. The following code sometimes (rather rarely) throws
    a NullPointerException:
    Connection dbConnection = DBUtil.getDBConnection();//here we get the Connection
    stmt = dbConnection.createStatement(ResultSet.TYPE_FORWARD_ONLY, ResultSet.CONCUR_UPDATABLE);//it's
    where NPE happens
    The error report says:
    java.sql.SQLException:
    java.lang.NullPointerException at
    weblogic.jdbc.rmi.SerialConnection.createStatement(SerialConnection.java:396)
    So, I think, this is something in WebLogic's code... Is this a known issue (I
    couldn't find a similar report in the newsgroup)? Is there a workaround?
    regards,
    Vitaly

    As far as we know, those fixes (or some of them) were not introduced in SP4. Are

    upgrade to 6.1sp4.

    Hi Joseph,
    Thank you for the reply. Unfortunately, we cannot move to SP3 or SP4
    - they have
    conflicts with other patches from WebLogic we use. This error happens
    rather rarely.
    In most of cases this very stuff works. But it would be intresing to
    have this
    patch for diagnostics, in case of future failures. Would you send it
    to me, please?
    Thank you in advance,
    Vitaly

    happening
    is that the rmi driver is having to catch any non-SQLException, andthrow
    a SQLException
    with the message of the original exception. Unfortunately, the fullstacktrace
    of the
    original NPE is lost. If you want, I can send you a small diagnostic
    patch, which will
    just make the rmi object retain the whole original stacktrace in the
    exception it throws,
    and that will help lead to the real problem.
    This may well be a bug that was fixed in sp3 or 4. Is it possible
    for you to upgrade to
    the latest stuff?
    Joe

    Generally this error should not stop server. Carefully check the server startup log and see if there are other errors as well. Post them here. You may consider mailing your server startup log to my id.

  • Weblogic.security.acl.internal.AuthenticatedSubject not resolved

    Hi guys,
    when I try to implement that code:
    CallbackHandler handler = new URLCallbackHandler(username,
    password);
    Subject mySubject =
    weblogic.security.services.Authentication.login(handler);
    weblogic.servlet.security.ServletAuthentication.runAs(mySubject, request);
    // Where request is the httpservletrequest object.
    in my servlet I get that issue in workshop 9.2:
    The type weblogic.security.acl.internal.AuthenticatedSubject cannot be resolved. It is indirectly
    referenced from required .class files
    Any idea??
    Thanks a lot
    L.

    solved!
    simply import weblogic.jar in the project
