Weblogic 9.2 webservice client getting ClassCastException XmlTokenImpl

Hi,
I have written a webservice using the JAX-WS notation and Weblogic 9.2 MP3 libraries. I generated the server using jwsc and the client using clientgen. The server is working fine. But whenever I used the generated client stubs, I am getting this error:
java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError

I spent lots of time debugging this and I found that this exception was generated when weblogic/xbean is trying to parse the listener-class in wsee-config.xml:
<wsee:listener-class>weblogic.wsee.policy.deployment.ClientPolicyDeploymentListener</wsee:listener-class>
For some reason, this got converted to an XmlTokenImpl object and the code was trying to cast it to com.sun.java.xml.ns.j2Ee.FullyQualifiedClassType. I don't know why it wasn't converted to the right class. But I noticed that the wseeConfig.xsd has this:
<import namespace="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/j2ee" schemaLocation="../../../../j2ee/descriptor/schemas/j2ee14/j2ee_1_4.xsd"/>
Could it be that this "../../../../j2ee/descriptor/schemas/j2ee14/j2ee_1_4.xsd" is causing some issue?
I had checked, double checked and triple checked my classpath and the jars I am using. I am using the weblogic.jar, xbean.jar, weblogic-container-binding.jar all from the Weblogic 9.2 MP3 server installation.
Anyone has any idea on how to solve this? I am very stuck!

Yes. I am using the 9.2 webservices. This is a new webservice I'm creating. The ant build.xml file to generate it is like this:
<jwsc srcdir="${SRCDIR}/src" destdir="${EXPDIR}/webservice"
tempdir="${WRKDIR}/webservice"
verbose="on" debug="on"
enableAsyncService="false"
classpathref="our.custom.classpath" keepGenerated="true">
<jws file="sdo/webservice/impl/SDOWSImpl.java"
contextPath="SDO" name="SDOService">
<WLHttpTransport contextPath="SDO"
serviceUri="SDOService"
portName="SDOService"/>
</jws>
</jwsc>
The our.custom.classpath is as follows:
<path id="our.custom.classpath">
<pathelement location="${EXPTOP}/log4j/1.29/lib/log4j.jar"/>
<pathelement location="${EXPTOP}/weblogic/9.23/lib/apache_xbean.jar"/>
<pathelement location="${EXPTOP}/weblogic/9.23/lib/xbean.jar"/>
<pathelement location="${EXPTOP}/weblogic/9.23/lib/weblogic.jar"/>
<pathelement location="${EXPTOP}/weblogic/9.23/lib/wsse.jar"/>
</path>
I have to include xbean.jar here because if I didn't, I got "java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/bea/xml/XmlException" during the ant build.
How do I make sure I use the 9.2 style xbeans?
thanks!

    The endpoint base URL we are hitting is hosted on Weblogic server 9.0 (which is hosted at client side in US so it is behind our firewall).
    Is some thing more do we need to do in Authenticator class???

  • Deployable webservice client - ClassCastException

    Hi,
    We are trying to implement a WebService Client for the secure Webservice. I have created a deployable proxy client and deployed it on the server, our basis has attached the X509 certificate to the proxy in VA. Test Destination is successful. I have exposed the client as public part in the ws client dc project.I have created a used dc relationship to the webservice client project in my EP Component project. I'm trying to use this client in a AbstractPortal component with following code
    SECQANDA seq = (SECQANDA) ctx.lookup("<JNDI location");
    I get a ClassCastException on this line
    java.lang.ClassCastException: <package>.SECQANDAImpl incompatible with <package>.SECQANDA
    Have anyone faced this problem? How do I resolve this error?
    Appreciate any help.
    Thanks,
    Giri.

    Hi Anand,
    Thanks for your response. I have already checked that object for null - it is not. The problem is I dont have this SECQANDAImpl class that implements the SECQANDA interface in my DC. This implementation class gets generated when I deploy the deployable proxy object. Though I should be able to cast to the interface, it is throwing this error. Any other ideas?
    Giri.

    I get a ClassCastException on this line
    java.lang.ClassCastException: <package>.SECQANDAImpl incompatible with <package>.SECQANDA
    Have anyone faced this problem? How do I resolve this error?
    Appreciate any help.
    Thanks,
    Giri.

    Hi Martin,
    Appreciate your response. I'm not able to cast to SECQANDAImpl because this implementaion class is not in my DC. What I understand is it gets implemented on deployment of the deployable proxy. Does that ring any bell?
    Thanks,
    Giri.

  • Getting error while hitting weblogic server from EBS client instance

    Hi,
    We are trying to hit weblogic server from EBS client instance.
    Steps Done from our side :-
    1. Created a self signed key store and certificate (.cer file) with server host name and used it for SSL enabling on weblogic server.
    2. Created a self signed key store and certificate (.cer file) with client host name and used it for SSL enabling on oracle EBS client.
    3. Imported client certificate .cer file in Server Side Trust Store.
    4. Used Server keystore for client side verification.
    We are getting these logs from Client Side (Oracle EBS AS) :-

  • Weblogic WebServices Client: how to use HTTP 1.1 protocol ?

    Hi,
    I generated a stub ( jar file) to call a weblogic webservice from a client, both in weblogic workshop 8.1.4 and weblogic workshop 10.3.
    It seems that both jars (generated by weblogic) use HTTP 1.0 protocol (I can see the HTTP 1.0 requests from access log file)
    I would like to use HTTP 1.1 protocol : can I set some property ? Which property ? Can you help me ?

  • 503 error code when trying to access a weblogic jax-rpc webservice

    I'm going crazy on a webservice issue with Weblogic server 10.2.
    I have a DocumentRepository webservice deployed and I generated a JAX-RPC library based on its WSDL.
    Now I'm trying to access this webservice from Spring in a desktop application with the following bean declaration:
    <bean id="documentRepository" class="eu.europa.ec.rdg.efp.services.document.v1_00.DocumentRepository_Impl">
         <constructor-arg value="http://myserver.mycompany.com:7021/efpServices/DocumentRepository?WSDL" />
    </bean>
    But when the Spring application context initializes, after a few minutes, I get the following exception:

    Yet, I can see the WSDL in my browser when I go to http://myserver.mycompany.com:7021/efpServices/DocumentRepository?WSDL
    Now it looks a lot like a proxy issue, which is possible because I'm behind a proxy, and I had to set the following command-line parameters in order to access remote HTTP resources before the spring application context is initialized:
    -DproxySet=true -DproxyHost=<my proxy IP> -DproxyPort=8012
    And I authenticate to my proxy using the following code, once again before the Spring application context is initialized:
    Authenticator.setDefault(new Authenticator() {
                                       protected PasswordAuthentication getPasswordAuthentication() {
                                            return new PasswordAuthentication(<my login>, <my password>);
    Yet, those settings seem to have absolutely no effect on how the webservice client is loading the WSDL.
    So my question is the following: is it possible to specify a proxy to be used by the webservice client class to load the WSDL? If yes, how?
    On the other hand, if it was a proxy issue, then I guess the webservice client couldn't reach the server and I would get a connection timeout or something. But here I get a response, even though it's a 503 error. Any other idea where my exception comes from?
    I'm really desperate here. I've tried to ask our corporate weblogic support but they couldn't reproduce my issue. I've been fighting with this for weeks. Please help!

    Please, take a look at https://blogs.oracle.com/proactivesupportWCC/entry/clustering_and_high_availability_for (and contact the support group as advised)

  • Dynamic WebService client within a WebService Handler

    We have a WebService running on WebLogic 10.3 that has a handler that contains a Webservice client that connects to a set of IIS WebServices.
    The client is called with code like this:
    QName qname = new QName("http://www.company.com/Webservices/", "UserService");
    UserService service = new UserService(url, qname);
    service.setHandlerResolver(resolver);
    UserServiceSoap uss = service.getUserServiceSoap();
    The URL is dynamic, we have different servers that contain different data other than that they are the same. When this is called the first time with URL http://abc it works just fine. If it is called again but this time pointing to URL http://xyz, the client still goes to http://abc. We have check through debugging to ensure that we are really passing the correct URL, and we are. I traced this through a tool called WireShark and can see our client making 2 GET requests to the proper WSDL but then does the POST to http://abc. URLS have been altered to protect the innocent :) This same webservice containing this handler works as expected within Tomcat, it is in WebLogic that things get weird. Any help would be appreciated.

  • WebService Client - how to enable HTTP Compression

    Hi
    I have written a simple WebService Client. The WebService expects that the WebService clients enable HTTP compression. This is the exact text from the docs:-
    ""1. Client should be HTTP Compression enabled
    HTTP Compression had been made mandatory for APIs. Thus APIs client should
    include Accept-Encoding: zip header as part of request and should be able to
    handle compressed data. Please note that system will send an error message if client
    are not http compression enabled saying client should be compression enabled."
    I do not know how to enable HTTP compression in the WebService Client. The method called is "GetInstantaneousFlowData". It accepts no arguments and returns xsd:datetime.
    The wsdl can be found at:-
    http://energywatch.natgrid.co.uk/EDP-PublicUI/PublicPI/InstantaneousFlowWebService.asmx?WSDL
    Can someone please help :-
    import javax.xml.rpc.ServiceFactory;

    import javax.xml.rpc.Call;
    import javax.xml.rpc.ParameterMode;

    QName serviceName = new QName(targetNamespace, "InstantaneousFlowWebService");
    QName portName = new QName(targetNamespace, "InstantaneousFlowWebServiceSoap");
    QName operationName = new QName("http://www.NationalGrid.com/EDP/UI/GetInstantaneousFlowData",
         "GetLatestPublicationTime");
    // create service
    Service service = factory.createService(serviceName);
    // create call
    Call call = service.createCall();
    // set port and operation name
    call.setPortTypeName(portName);
    call.setOperationName(operationName); // add parameters
         call.setProperty(Call.SOAPACTION_USE_PROPERTY, Boolean.TRUE);
         call.setProperty(Call.SOAPACTION_URI_PROPERTY, "http://www.NationalGrid.com/EDP/UI/GetInstantaneousFlowData");
    //     call.setProperty(Call.ENCODINGSTYLE_URI_PROPERTY, "http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/");
    call.setReturnType(new QName( "http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema","datetime") );
    // set end point address : soap address location
    call.setTargetEndpointAddress("http://energywatch.natgrid.co.uk/EDP-PublicUI/PublicPI/InstantaneousFlowWebService.asmx");
    // invoke the remote web service
    Calendar result = (Calendar) call.invoke(new Object[] {});
    System.out.println("result=" + result);
    }

    Rishika,
    Thanks for your reply.
    Could I get clariffication on some more thing?
    I am using Axis 1.4 version. And I am able to implement the gzip while doing the following steps.
    1) Change the pivote value to CommonsHTTpSender.
    <transport name="http" pivot="java:org.apache.axis.transport.http.CommonsHTTPSender"/>
    2) public class RetreiveReservationsSOAPBindingStubLocal extends RetreiveReservationsSOAPBindingStub.
    I Override the method to support GZIP.
    org.apache.axis.client.Call _call = super.createCall();
    call.setOperation(operations[0]);
    _call.setUseSOAPAction(true);
    _call.setSOAPActionURI("retreiveReservations");
    _call.setEncodingStyle(null);
    call.setProperty(org.apache.axis.client.Call.SENDTYPE_ATTR, Boolean.FALSE);
    call.setProperty(org.apache.axis.AxisEngine.PROPDOMULTIREFS, Boolean.FALSE);
    call.setProperty(HTTPConstants.MCACCEPT_GZIP, Boolean.TRUE);
    call.setProperty(HTTPConstants.MCGZIP_REQUEST, Boolean.TRUE);
    call.setSOAPVersion(org.apache.axis.soap.SOAPConstants.SOAP11CONSTANTS);
    _call.setOperationName(new javax.xml.namespace.QName("", "retreiveReservations"));
    super.setRequestHeaders(_call);
    super.setAttachments(_call);
    Object resp = call.invoke(new Object[] {retreiveReservationsRequest});
    I am able to send and receive the request and response in gzip encoded format.
    Now my clarrification is,
    Is it possible to set the piote value to CommonsHTTPSender for the transport http through my code?
    How could I set the values from code?
    Reason is, I don't want to manually edit the axis 1.4's client-config.wsdd
    Since this is very critical thing, please please help me.
    Thanks in advance.

    Nishad Ponery

    How can I fix it?

    I didn't see a mistake, but my sample works fine. Are you trying to execute the client from Workshop / Eclipse? If that is the case, then I believe it's a matter of just using the appropriate client libraries, which I believe is your issue even though the error is misleading. You should definitely try using a Java Project for a stand-alone web service invocation. According to this link: http://edocs.bea.com/wls/docs103/webserv_rpc/client.html#wp229351 you simply need 1 jar file named wseeclient.jar on your path, which is archived inside <WL_INSTALL>\wlserver_10.3\server\lib\wseeclient.zip
    Once I set up a new Java Project with wseeclient.jar on my path and my clientgen generated classes, I could invoke the sample.
    Also, here is what the successful invocation from the command line using (ant build, ant deploy, ant run):
    C:\Oracle\wls10.3\wlserver_10.3\samples\server\examples\src\examples\webservices\jws_basic\simple>ant build

  • Handling cookies in a WebService Client

    Hi,
    I've written the following code for a simple webservice client and everything work fine.
    Additionally, I have to read a Cookie from the HTTPHeader of the first response and put it into the
    HTTPHeader of the next requests. What is the best practice to implement
    this task?
    My service is a Weblogic WebService on Weblogic 8.1 sp5.
    Thanks in advance
    Wahid
    public class ClientTest {
    public static void main(String[] args) throws Exception {
    System.setProperty("javax.xml.rpc.ServiceFactory",
    "weblogic.webservice.core.rpc.ServiceFactoryImpl");
    ServiceFactory factory = ServiceFactory.newInstance();
    String targetNamespace = "http://www.mycomp.de/namespace";
    QName serviceName = new QName(targetNamespace, "MyService");
    QName operationName = new QName(targetNamespace, "testConnection");
    Service service = factory.createService(serviceName);
    TypeMappingRegistry registry = service.getTypeMappingRegistry();
    TypeMapping mapping = registry.getTypeMapping(SOAPConstants.URI_NS_SOAP_ENCODING);
    mapping.register(VerbindungstestVO.class,
    new QName(targetNamespace, "TestConnectionVO"),
    new TestConnectionCodec(),
    new TestConnectionCodec());
    Call call = service.createCall();
    call.setOperationName(operationName);
    call.addParameter("request", new QName(targetNamespace, "TestConnectionVO"), ParameterMode.IN);
    call.setReturnType(new QName(targetNamespace, "TestConnectionVO"));
    call.setTargetEndpointAddress("http://localhost:7001/my-ws/MyService");
    TestConnectionVO vo = new TestConnectionVO();
    vo.setPing("3");
    TestConnectionVO res = (TestConnectionVO) call.invoke(new Object[] {vo});
              System.out.println(res);

    Any suggestions? AM I right in presuming this is a bug?
    Start by ensuring that your function actually runs when you
    invoke it. Does anything get returned to your calling template?
