I have been using netweaver dev studio without problems. Then from one second to another, after closing the application and reopening it refused to open and gives this error message:

I have been working on NWDS-7.0.09 & J2sdk1.2.4_12 , and now I unable to open it and gives following errors messages.[i]But when I tried with full window Admin Access ( this access has given by Admin for a day) then it is working fine.but it doesn't solve my problem Could you tell me what is the problem.

My mac won't start up- hardware error code

Recently my computer was running slow and was constantly freezing. My first thoughts were to clear some of my data off my computer. After emptying the trash of unwanted photos/videos/ documents the computer froze for 2+ minutes. At this point I forced a restart by holding down the power button. Since then, my computer will not start. It stops @ the apple logo with spinning grey wheel and will not go any further. I have tried the install disk which is not working-- while holding C during start up the disk just ends up ejecting. I have also tried safe booting which will display a status bar under the apple icon and the grey spinning wheel but nothing else happens. Last night I ran an extended hardware test and received a hardware error code of 4M0T/4/40000003:HDD-1296.
Any suggestions?

Very strangely, I actually succedeed to run the NWDS once when saving the .ini as unicode. But then I could not update the studio with new features, I got "Unsupported major.minor version 49.0u2033. I suspect that actually the studio could not be started properly with java 1.6, but with java 1.4, which was also installed on my system. After deinstalling java 1.4.2, the studio can not be started again.
Please, help me to resolve it.

I resolved the problem. The NWDS required 32-bit JVM and I used 64-bit.
The interesting thing is that java -version says:

You might need to run Eclipse properly
All arguments following (but not including) the -vmargs entry are passed directly through to the indicated Java VM as virtual machine arguments (that is, before the class to run). Note: If an Eclipse startup argument, such as -data, is provided after the Java vm arguments (-vmargs), Eclipse will not start and you will receive a "JVM terminated. Exit code=1" error.

When running Eclipse on J9 version 1.5, it is recommended that you use the following VM options:

Forms- ERROR: Abnormal termination, Error Code: C0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION -

Hi All,
I know that our system is using very old technologies (ie Java version, AS 10g 10R2, IE 8, etc). But due to the nature of the application, we can't upgrade it yet for a lot of both technical & political reasons ( i know some of you guys out there are in the same boat as we do)...
Anyways, given the above, we are having this Oracle 10g Forms issue where it just crashes, crash in a sense that the frmweb.exe just died for some reason ( which we are trying to figure out). I know the best way to find the culprit of this issue is to contact Support but given that our current platform, the support guys will just tell us to b49g3r off and use 11g.... So I was hoping to get some feedback from the general public on how to exactly find the culprit code... We tried a lot of things like, enabling trace from forms level (then run xlate to analyze) but given the "random nature" of the error we cannot capture where the error is coming from, we tried enablign a debug for some users but yields to no access....
Maybe there are some Gurus out there that can help us with our problem. Everytime the frmweb.exe dies, it leaves a trace file something like this:

Whilst error correcting support may have ended for your Forms version, the product is still covered by sustaining support. The support folks won't tell you to 'b49g3r' off, though they might indeed tell you to start preparing for an 11g upgrade. So they might still be able to help you with this issue with the restriction that they won't be able to get a patch anymore, should your issue be caused by a net yet discovered bug or by a bug which is fixed in 11g. Shellhwdetection is a Windows service which stands for Shell Hardware Detection Service.
It provides notifications for AutoPlay hardware events.
System error code 1075 means "The dependency service does not exist or has been marked for deletion."
Please run services.msc, then find Shell Hardware Detection Service, view its dependencies
Make sure the three services are set to running "automatic" in Services.
If this doesn't help, then run sfc to check if there're some missing or corrupted files in system.

Last Builtin: SET_ITEM_PROPERTY/SET_FIELD - (Successfully Completed)
Perhaps add some messages or run the form in debug to see the exact line of code that terminates the form.

and Developer Forms [32 Bit] Version 6.0.8.23.2.
I have created a menu. When I call this menu in a form and execute this from either Form Builder or Form Run Time, form executed, but immediately closed when I select any Menu option.

I don't know if the Version 6.0.8.23.2. that you are using is patch 18 ?
If not, maybe you need to upgrade to patch 18 ?
Really not sure here. We are using Oracle 9i database and have no problem with patch 13 of forms 6i. Maybe it has something to do with the menu names ? (names too long or containing a reserve word ?).
Really don't know what else can cause that.

As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?

"JVM terminated" error

Downloaded and installed the newest release of beta 3.2.
Running in XP. Started working through the tutorial; clicked on the
Design View tab, and it shuts down FlexBuilder and pops up a long
JVM terminated message.
I see others posted this problem earlier in the summer, but
haven't seen a resolution.

that you click on design view? Can you try to reproduce using a new
workspace?
Choose File > Switch workspace
> Other, type in a new workspace location and hit ok.
Create a new project and try to
reproduce the issue
This may solve the problem in which case
Choose File > Import > Other
> General > Existing projects into workspace
Browse to the location of your
existing projects (usually documents/flex builder 3 or my documents
\flex builder 3) and hit OK.
select the appropriate projects and
import them.
Either way, I urge you to file a bug in our public facing bug
system. and post the bug number back to this thread. It is very
hard for us to address an issue when we can reproduce it so that is
where we need your help.

[Solved] Project64 (which runs via wine) won't start w/ an error

I'm on 64 bit arch laptop trying to run project64, but the app won't start. I installed project64 from the repo and it pulled wine as a dependancy. Upon firsst-run I was prompted to install wine gecko and hit the install button. This froze and I force-closed the window which then prompted me to select a language. I got a "Program Error" message saying that pj64 encountered a serious problem and needs to close. I then found and installed the wine_gecko package, but this didn't solve the problem.
The console outputs the following:
wine: Unhandled page fault on read access to 0xffffffff at address 0x7cdb9eda (thread 0009), starting debugger...
Someone please help me.

Make sure you have the correct lib32 drivers for your graphics card, since wine is a 32 bit app. For example,m for nvidia you need the lib32-nvidia-utils package. This seems to be more of a general Wine issue rather than an issue with project64 though, but hopefully installing the correct package should help. I maintain the project64 AUR package though, so I feel like I should do my best to help, and possuibly imporve my package too if something's wrong with it Also, if that doesn't work, try running this, it will give more terminal output that could be useful (by default it uses WINEDEBUG=-all to get rid of the extra debug info and stuff wine outputs by default, but it might be helpful here):
wine "$HOME"/.project64/Project64.exe
Also, IMO, all the Mupen64plus frontends seem to be kinda crappy right now (cutemupen crashesd so I can't even try that one out...), but the one I'va had the best luck with is wxmupen64plus-hg, so give that a shot, though it does still have some issues sometimes, but it lets you configure the controllers and stuff, so that's good And if you felt like using it, you could install version 1.5 (it's in AUR too, but I haven't tested it), since version 1.5 has a GUI and it always worked great when I used to use that

Downloaded firefox 5.0.1 last night, worked fine, Turned computer on today, Mozilla Firefox, it won't start. Get error message, Error: Platform version '5.0' is not compatible with minVersion =5.0.1 maxVersion =5.0.1" What do I need to do to fix it?

We downloaded firefox 5.0.1 last night, began working with it. It did fine. After about an hour, I turned off my computer. When I turned on my computer, I click on Mozilla Firefox and it won't start. I get this error message, " Error: Platform version '5.0' is not compatible with minVersion >=5.0.1 maxVersion <=5.0.1" from XUL Runner. What do I need to do to fix it?

The updater wasn't able to update all the files and some were left as older versions. 
Do a clean reinstall.
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.

* Do not remove personal data when you uninstall the current version.
Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
* It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the Firefox Profile Folder and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

[solved] xorg proglem - won't start, but no error

Hi folks!
I'm new to Arch, my first installation, but I used to use Gentoo in the past. Got a problem with making X to run. I followed the guide from the wiki, but I didn't manage it to work.
I'm using nVidia drivers from 173xx branch (GF 5900XT). Hal is working properly, I hope - /etc/rc.d/restart successes w\o errors.
At first, I tried to run X without xorg.conf and it complained about missing 'nv' and 'vesa' (i hope) modules. Then, after running nvidia-configure (/etc/X11/xorg.conf was successfully created) and startx - screen blanks (no nVidia logo shown) and after ~3 seconds it comes back with massage "waiting for X server to shut down". In /var/log/Xorg.0.log there were no lines starting with (EE).
Then I tried to configure X with "X -configure". After making new config and replacing the older one at /etc/X11/xorg.conf and running X with command startx (as user), it complained about missing type1 and truetype modules ((EE) lines as far as I remember). After installing missing packages/modules:

it still won't start. Screen blanks, no nVidia logo shown, and later comes back with well known screen ( usual text... look over /var/log/Xorg.0.log for more details...). Only message after default text id "waiting for X server to shut down", with no (WW) nor (EE) lines above.

Any idea? To me, it looks like nvidia driver bug or some xorg bug (or maybe just a misconfiguration)
In ~/.xinitrc stays only "exec startfluxbox", but even with empty file, situation is the same.

Be sure to copy the fdi file in the correct directory.

EDIT: Not 100% sure but I seem to recall that the nvidia driver has some problems when you don't set the default depth. Add that line
