OAF Java File Location
Hello,
I need to create a customization in iProcurement and for that reason I need to find the java files in the server, I have searched the server and the only files that I have found are the class files, how can obtain the java files or where is their location.
Thanks
Moreover if you want to get the original source code file from oracle, then you would have to raise TAR asking for source Java file.

.java files located in different directories - trouble compiling
My attempts at getting my main .class file (../master/BicycleMaster.class) to automatically recognize that it's supporting .class file (../master/child/BicycleChild.class) located one directory below keep failing and the .java files won't compile.
If I move both .java files to the same location (in the ../master directory) then they compile and run just fine, but it's when I want to separate them into the two different directories that I have a problem compiling them. They won't compile because the references in BicycleMaster.jave to BicycleChild.java can't be resolved.
I was hoping - if you have time - that you might be able to show me by example in the code below? In the file ../master/BicycleMaster.java I added 'package master;' as the first line of the code. It was my impression that this would tell the compiler to look in the sub-directories for any additional .java files. This didn't work either.

LisanHi Lisan,
Which version are you using? Folder strucure differs for 11i and R12 versions.
All the class files will be placed under the JAVA_TOP folder. From there you have to follow your package structure. Here it is oracle/apps/xxogl/f04/cp/file

Java 7: Problems launching applets with jars on "file://" location
Hi,
We are experiencing a problem when updating our client's JRE from Java6 U 21 up to Java7 U 55.
We have developed an Applet which is composed by several JAR files. Some of those JARs must be stored in local drive, and the JAR with the main Java class is stored on server.
Let's supose we have a similar scenario like this:
https://blahblahbah/bar.jar
https://blahblahbah/test.html
C:/foo.jar
The code of test.html:
<embed
archive="file:///C:/foo.jar"
cache_archive="bar.jar"
/>
This code works fine on Java 6 and Applet is correctly loaded.
However, with Java 7 a security exception is raised when trying to load JAR files from "file:///" location during Applet launch:
java.lang.SecurityException: Permission denied: file:/C:/foo.jar
at sun.plugin2.applet.Applet2Manager._loadJarFiles(Unknown Source)
We have tried several tests using a java.policy file which grants all possible permisions:
grant codeBase "file:/C:/foo.jar" {
permission java.security.AllPermission;
grant {
permission java.security.AllPermission;
We also tried to low Java's security level to "MEDIUM", with no success.
We finally only managed to run the Applet if we explicity disable the "Next-Generation Plugin" with Internet Explorer 8. However, that's not a suitable solution, and still does not work with Mozilla family browsers.
Eventhought with Mozilla browsers is still not working.
Is there any restrictions in Java 7 that prevents to read jars from being loaded from local drive when launching Applets?
Thanks in advance,Thank you baftos.
I had read the whole message before posting mine. It's not the same problem. I'm able to run the sample signed applet always having the jar in the same location than the HTML page serving the applet via JNLP:
<jar href="SignedAppletTest.jar" main="true"/>
However, the security exception raises when trying to read that jar from local drive:
<jar href="file://C:/SignedAppletTest.jar" main="true"/>
ExitException[ 3]java.lang.SecurityException: Permission denied: file://C:/SignedAppletTest.jar
at sun.plugin2.applet.JNLP2Manager.loadJarFiles(Unknown Source)
I have even tried to decompile JNLP2Manager class, without seeing anything useful on that loadJarFiles method
The only way I managed to avoid the problem is unchecking the New Generation Plugin and running the Applet with IE. Not a suitable solution for me at all.. -
Where is the running JAVA file is located
Hey,
lets say my java file would be in C:\package1\whereIam.java
if I run this program, how can I ask (command ?),
in which directory the running java file is located.
i.e. I would like to get C:\package1
AykutIt's actually more complicated than that. The class could be in a jar file... would you want the directory the jar file is in? Well, I'll let you deal with those issues. You can get a URL to your class like this, I think:URL me = this.getClass().getResource("/" + this.getClass().getName());

Where's the location of JSP's java files in weblogic
When I put *.jsp in my Web application,
I can find the complied class in
C:\bea\user_projects\mydomain\myserver\.wlnotdelete\extract\myserver_BOFT_BO
FT\jsp_servlet\****.class
But anyone can tell me where the ***.java?
What's the location of these java files ?
Samuel
In WL8.1, it appears that the .java files are placed in the same directory,
but are removed after the class is compiled successfully. (Is there a
setting to prevent the .java files from being deleted?)
Try placing an intentional syntax error in your JSP file so that the
compilation fails, and you should see the .java file where the .class file
would have been.

Location of compiled java files
Where are the compiled java files for jsps? Sometimes I get jsp errors in the log
files like:
D:\jsrv\my\WEB-INF\_tmp_war_myserver_myserver_my\jsp_servlet\_mypage\_cancelmembership.java:105:
')' expected
However, the _cancelmembership.java file does not exist at that location. Only
the _cancelmembership.class file exists at that location.You do NOT want to change the bundled CSS files. Create your own CSS and include it in the template after the built-in CSS include. Any classes you create in your own file of the same name and specificity as the built-in classes will override those classes. For example:<style type="text/css">
td.myclass{color:red}
td.myclass{color:blue}
</style>The color of the text in a table cell with the class "myclass" will be blue, not red, since the same class was defined twice, it will use the one that came last on the page.
If you change the classes in the built-in template CSS files, you'll change them for everyone using your APEX instance, which is not a particularly good thing to do.

Where are all the java source files located at on the server for 11.5.10?
Hello,
I found the object code file "MOLine.class" under the "/localapps/prodcomn/java/oracle/apps/inv/mo/server" directory on the server. But I simply could not find its source file "MOLine.java". Could someone please tell me where I can find all the java source code on the server? This is for Oracle Apps 11.5.10.
Regards,
SmitaAn error occured when trying to open the file for reading. Filename: ".\jad\tmp\MOLine.java"
Current Working Directory: C:\Program Files\Cavaj Java Decompiler\
System error message: The system cannot find the file specified.
C++ exception: ios: failbit setDo you get the same error if you use a directory name which has no space in name?
Question is, when I am trying to decompile MOLine.class to produce MOLine.java, why is it looking for MOLine.java?Most probably because you cannot decompile the class file (I believe if it was possible, Oracle would have provided the java file).
Thanks,

* This is the default constructor (do not remove)
public AgingAMImpl()
// OAViewObject objAssessmentVO = (OAViewObject)AgingAM.findViewObject("AgingVO1");

Import statement in .java files and .jsp files ..correction
Guys I have few mysteries about this import statement.
Please correct me if I am wrong.
1)Suppose if I have a folder c:\SourceFolder it has one.java and two.java files.If I compile one.java then one.class files is created in c:\ClassFolder .Now two.java uses one of the method of one.java,and without using import statement in two.java I am able to compile two.java, and two.class file is created in c:\ClassFolder.I assume that the path of one.class was taken from the CLASSPATH environment variable,hence I there was no need for import statement .........am i right ?
BUT... in My.jsp,which is in C:\JspFolder, if I want to use one.class,then I have to specifically import one.class in My.jsp .That is i have to say
<%@page import="one"%>
in My.jsp.
and since the classpath is C:\ClassFolder ,it finds one.class in the C:\ClassFolder and MyJsp is compiled sucessfully.(Note that My.class is created in a folder different from c:\ClassFolder )
But I am wondering why was there no need for me to import one.class in two.java.
(Note I am using JDeveloper and Apache server)
Please help.It has to do with packages. Most java classes are in a package, the name of which must conform to its place on the filesystem relative to the classpath. By that I mean that if you have com.mystuff.One.java, it must be in a folder com/mystuff where com is located somewhere in the classpath.
What you've done is a little different. I'm assuming a couple of things:
1. you have no package declaration at the top of one.java or two.java
2. you have the current directory "." in your classpath.
Java has the concept of the "default package", which covers classes without a declared package, and in your case is the current directory.
So when you're in c:\sourcefolder and run the compiler, then "."="c:\sourcefolder", and that directory is part of the default package. No import statements are necessary for classes that are in the same package. This is why two.java can call methods in one.java without an import statement.
When you run your jsp, the "current directory" part of your classpath is not c:\sourcefolder, but some other value (probably the directory you start your jsp engine from) You will have to import all non-java-library classes because the jsp itself becomes a java class, with a package that is determined by the jsp engine. -

Error while compiling java file
Hi, im newby in java,
i was trying to compile java files, and after that i will use it in JSP as javabean.
I have 2 files already, the first file is a connection code, and its compiled successfully, it looks like this
i named this as ConnectionBean.java
package my_package;
import java.sql.*;
public class ConnectionBean {
private Connection con;
private static final String driver = "org.postgresql.Driver";
private static final String url = "jdbc:postgresql://localhost:5432/PSQLDS";
private static final String username = "postgres";
private static final String password = "mypassword";
public ConnectionBean() {
public Connection logOn() {
try {
Class.forName(driver); con = DriverManager.getConnection(url, username, password); }
catch(ClassNotFoundException e) {
System.err.println("ConnectionBean: driver unavailable..."); con = null; }
catch (SQLException e) {
System.err.println("ConnectionBean: driver not loaded..."); con = null; }
return con;
public void logOff() {
try {
con.close(); }
catch (Exception e) {
e.printStackTrace(); }
as you can see above im using "package", and yes i have manage to put all my java files within the correct path (ROOT\WEB-INF\classes\my_package)
And also, i have test this class as javabean on JSP file and it works.
There for i continue to create the second java file, as a purpose to create a back engine for JSP. I use the same package as ConnectionBean.java, it looks like this
i named this as ListPageEngine.java
package my_package;
import java.beans.*;
import java.sql.*;
public class ListPageEngine {
public static void main(String[] args) {
ConnectionBean conBean = new ConnectionBean();}
on compiling process using command "javac ListPageEngine.java", i get this error message
ListPageEngine.java:11: cannot find symbol
symbol : class ConnectionBean
location: class my_package.ListPageEngine
ConnectionBean conBean = new ConnectionBean();}
^
ListPageEngine.java:11: cannot find symbol
symbol : class ConnectionBean
location: class my_package.ListPageEngine
ConnectionBean conBean = new ConnectionBean();}

2 errors
I think, i am pretty much sure that all my configuration (wheater its Apache TomCat, Environment Variable or PostgreSQL server) was good, as a prove, i was able to use ConnectionBean.class in my JSP file.
I susspect the problem is related with "package", seems i cannot use ConnectionBean class within ListPageEngine class when i use package.
For another information, i didn't install such thing as J2EE, i only install JDK 1.5, i also guess this might be the cause.
Right now im all stuck, i try to find thread which might be related with my problem but i failed to find it, most of them get the same answer by UncleSAM which are
Try the following forum (about JSP technology)
http://forum.java.sun.com/forum.jspa?forumID=45
JavaBeans spec contains nothing about JSP, but JSP spec describes using of beans.
i hope my question is clear so anyone who might have experience or clue with this problem might be able to help me.
Thanks beforefinally folks, i found answer to my own problem hehehehe..
the problem is on the compiling command (javac ... my_file.java), i found that i need to add some parameter on the command to make it works.
This problem solved. -
What's wrong with this simple java file
I am learning java input methods. When I tried to compile the below simple java file, there were two errors.
import java.io.*;
public class MainClass {
public static void main(String[] args) {

String user = console.readLine("user: ");
System.out.println(user);
}The compiler errors:

Console console = System.console();
