Oawebbean.getValue() returns intial value not updated value. Please Help
Hi all, I'm using the code
OAMessageTextInputBean test = (OAMessageTextInputBean)oawebbean.findChildRecursive("xxTestTo");
Object testing = test.getValue(oapagecontext);
where xxTestTo is the ID of the field in the XML
I've set the initial value for testing purposes to be 12345 and when the page loads I try to change the value to 54321 however, the value which is always passed is 12345 not the updated value.
What am I doing wrong. I have the code above in my processFormRequest

I think I've pinpointed the problem but I don't know the solution.
When I add a messageinputtext field within the a region within the page, oawebbean.getValue always returns the old value.
However if I add the messageinputtext field within the Page (not within a region) then oawebbean.getValue will give me the most updated value.
When I add the messageinputtext, do I need to set its properties so that it doens't reset its value when I go into processFormRequest?

Connect your iPad to your computer and let iTunes back up your iPad. After it does that disconnect it and go into your settings under general and under reset and select erase all content. After you do that reconnect to your computer, open iTunes and follow the screen options to set up your iPad as new. Once it is done doing that see if you have the latest version of iOS installed and if it does then either download gain the apps you had before or restore them from the backup made previous.

CS5 Bridge will not open, Air will not install, and AAM Updater will not update. Please help!
I am having several problems with CS5, and as best I can tell they all seem to be related. I purchased CS5 about a month ago. Photoshop has opened and ran fine. However, recently AAM notified me some several updates available. When I tried to update them they all failed. This lead to the discovery that Bridge will not open at all, Air installs but with an error and cannot update itself or applications like Adobe Help, and since the AAM updater ran it now thinks everything is up to date.
I have search endlessly for every piece of information I could find on this issue. As well as, sat on the phone with tech support for hours. As best I can tell, (and really I have no evidence to support me), it seems to all be related to a permissions issues. However, I have tried everything the forums suggested with no luck, and Tech Support ended with me doing an Uninstall and reinstall (twice), while repairing permissions in-between. I am about at the end of the road with this issue and would greatly appreciate any additional suggests you could offer.
Some additional details.
Running a MBP i7, 8GB RAM, and MAC OSX 10.6.4
Bridge Issue,
When attempting to launch Bridge it simply returns an error "This operation could not be completed..." I tried the option click and reset method, no luck.
Air Issue,
Kind of works, but at the same time doesn't. In that in one of the previous installations programs like Adobe Help would not run. Now Help does run, however, when I go to update Air it says it completed successfully but then immediately gives me an error saying "~this may not be allowed by the administrator..." I also cannot update Adobe Help, it just sits and says preparing to update.
AAM Updater Issue,
This appeared to work fine until I attempted to install an update. It downloaded everything and then failed on the install. However, now it thinks everything is up to date, but nothing is.Well despite not getting much love on this forum. I was able to correct the problem. I tried every solution that google would produce on these issues. Ultimately it came done to permission issue. I was lead to this fix by a person on flickr that suggested permissions as the cause. However, his solution was to modify the permissions in the home directory root and apply them to every subsequent folder in the home directory. Although quick and easy, I felt this would lead to more trouble then it was worth.
I did some more digging and what I discovered is that all the permission of the Adobe folders in the home directory library (not the HD library) and the application folder did not match all the other folders in those areas. Some of the files in some of the folders did not match either. So I made them match (the ones that matched I left alone), and everything seemingly went back to working normally. It was a bit of a pain going folder by folder. Fortunately there where not many of them. About 8 in total, plus the internal folders. -

I have an unlocked Iphone 3G (bought here in Brazil) with version 3.1.3 and everytime I try to upgrade to a newer version, eg 4.0 or 4.01 it up to get the update but in the end hangs and displays the screen of the cable USB CD and music note. When this screen appears Itunes tells you that I'm in recovery mode and try to install version 3.1.3 and earlier is still stalled. Could anyone tell me if there is something to be done to upgrade this device?

How to put your iPhone in recovery mode :
1. Disconnect the USB cable from the iPhone or iPod touch, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the the iPhone or iPod touch to turn off.
* If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off, release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
3. While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to iPhone. When you reconnect the USB cable to iPhone, the device should power on.
To escape Recovery Mode and power the phone off simply hold down power and home buttons for ten seconds.
How to put your iPhone in DFU mode :
1. Connect your iPhone to your computer.
2. Turn iPhone off.
3. Hold power and home together for 10 seconds (exactly).
4. Release power but keep holding home until the computers beeps (observed on a PC) as a USB device is recognized.
5. A few seconds later iTunes should detect your iPhone.
6. If the Restore Logo is present on the screen, you are in Recovery Mode, not DFU.
To escape DFU Mode and power the phone off simply hold down power and home buttons for ten seconds. -
Apps not updating. Please help.
I still have the same apps on my apple tv as when I originally purchased the unit.
It was not till I looked online that I realized what I had been missing.As in says you are up to date? Are you on versoin 6.0.2?
If you are not using a US iTunes account with ATV then you will have differnt app opptions. Most of the new stuff is crap frankly so you are not missing out on much. -

I've just updated my iPhone to the new iPhone OS and now it won't work and iTunes won't recognise that it's there. I've uninstalled iTunes and reinstalled twice and it's not working. Please help.
I have not had wifi since November when I upgraded to the newest IOS version. I called the Apple help line and they told me some things to do and I tried them all and they worked for a few hours and then wifi shut off again. I kept doing what they told me and it worked for a couple more days and then I could never turn it on again. My blue tooth doesn't work either. I had to actually increase my data usage with AT&T becuase of this. When I did that in December I went to the Apple store and was told that it is a hardware issue and since my phone is out of warranty I would have to pay for a new phone because they could not fix the issue. My upgrade isn't up until June 2014 so not only do I have to wait for the upgrade and I am not paying for a new phone but I have to pay $10 plus extra a month on my cell phone bill because I was going over on my Data!!! I have been beyond upset about this and Apple is not doing anything about this nor did they offer up some way to resolve the issue because obviously it is not just some rare incident if several people are having this issue. Who knows how many people out there have had this issue and have not said anything about it. Now there is a newer update that I can't do because it requires wifi in order to download.
June can not get here fast enough and I may not go back to Iphone after dealing with this for so long with no help from Apple. -
I go to settings and switch "Automatic time" off and then back on. It works for a while, but then just goes back to being off. I've tried manually setting the time, but it just goes back to what it was before. If I send a text, it sends and then disapears. I can't see what I wrote! I went in to Apple to try and get it fixed, but they just restored my phone. It's still not working. Please help!
It's not hacker or a virus. You are experiencing what a number of users of iOS 5 are experiencing now - sluggish or less than perfect iPad performance. It seems that for some of us - memory management has gotten a little out of whack with this most recent update. Some of the basic troubleshooting steps that you can try are ....
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Close apps in the recents tray. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
If you have Safari crashing issues - Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History, Cookies and Data. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
None of these steps should be necessary as part of your daily routine - the iOS is supposed to handle all of this without any user input. Once again - for some of us - the iOS is letting us down.
Until Apple releases another update that resolves this issue for the "few" that suffer, keep these steps in mind and use them as needed. -

Sorry, but Apple does not provide a downgrade path for iOS.
Because downgrading is unsupported by Apple we cannot discuss it on these forums, but you can use Google to find information on how to install an older version of iOS on any device.
Note that you will void the warranty and loose official support by Apple.

Is your iPhone connected to your computer using the lightning cable or are you doing WiFi sync?
Sometimes the iPhone doesn't show up in the side bar if you're using WiFi syncing, if its not working, then be connected to your WiFi on your phone and on your computer (Same network) let me know how it's going, if it doesn't work still. Turn your phone off and on again and put in your pass code then try to sync it (keep your phone unlocked and not in sleep mode) tel me if it appears in the side bar. -

It could be that your button has justy gone out. You may try getting compressed air to blow out any dust in there. If that doesn't work, you may have to get your button and ribbon replaced.
