Obfuscating Problems
To handle the error :
"java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/xml/stream/XMLInputFactory: Cannot create class in system package"
I try to obfuscate my project in Eclipse to rename the 'javax' import files. But when try doing so, I get multiple warnings and it seems like nothing is changed after I click Continue. These are (a few) of the warnings:
Warning: javax.xml.stream.XMLEventReader: can't find superclass or interface java.util.Iterator
Warning: com.bea.xml.stream.util.ArrayIterator: can't find superclass or interface java.util.Iterator
Warning: com.bea.xml.stream.util.CircularQueue: can't find superclass or interface java.util.AbstractCollection
Warning: com.bea.xml.stream.test.BaseTestCase: can't find superclass or interface junit.framework.TestCase
Warning: com.bea.xml.stream.util.EmptyIterator: can't find superclass or interface java.util.Iterator
Warning: com.bea.xml.stream.test.AllTests$1: can't find superclass or interface junit.extensions.TestSetup
Warning: com.bea.xml.stream.util.CircularQueue$1: can't find superclass or interface java.util.Iterator
Warning: com.bea.xml.stream.util.Stack: can't find superclass or interface java.util.AbstractCollection
Warning: javax.xml.namespace.QName: can't find superclass or interface java.io.Serializable
Warning: com.bea.xml.stream.reader.XmlReader: can't find referenced method 'boolean isWhitespace(char)' in class java.lang.Character
Warning: javax.xml.stream.FactoryFinder$ClassLoaderFinderConcrete: can't find referenced method 'java.lang.ClassLoader getContextClassLoader()' in class java.lang.Thread
Warning: com.bea.xml.stream.samples.EventWrite: can't find referenced method 'java.lang.String setProperty(java.lang.String,java.lang.String)' in class java.lang.System
Warning: javax.xml.stream.util.EventReaderDelegate: can't find referenced method 'java.lang.Object next()' in class javax.xml.stream.XMLEventReader
Warning: javax.xml.stream.util.EventReaderDelegate: can't find referenced method 'void remove()' in class javax.xml.stream.XMLEventReader
it seems he needs non-J2ME files that's really weird because this package (StaX) should also be runnable in a J2ME environment!
" try to obfuscate my project in Eclipse to rename the 'javax' import files"
Are you trying to obfuscate the classes that you are importing? That will be impossible without including those class files in your application. Whenever you import a class from outside your application, that class cannot be obfuscated. You can only obfuscate the content of your application.
This means that if you wanted to obscure the fact that you were using some XML Parser, then you must write (or find) your own parser that you can include directly in your project. That will then be obfuscatable.
If you are obfuscating for J2ME, then you should not include the J2SE library (which is referenced by your current application, which is the cause of your problems) because the J2SE library is not present on J2ME devices. There is currently no xml parser for J2ME.

I am using wireless tool kit 2.1. I developed an api for accessing web services. It contains some packages with same name of some packages of sun's web service api. Sun's api is already included in the wirelsee tool kit.
The problem is, When I run the obfuscated jar it gives the following error.
Uncaught exception java/lang/NoClassDefFoundError: javax/xml/namespace/a: Cannot create class in system package .so I changed the package names to have different names from sun's api package's names. now the obfuscated jar works well.
What is the reason for this problem. What can I do without changing my package names to run the obfuscated jar.
But for normal packaging it does't give the above problem. Only obfuscated jar gives problem. Thanks for ur reply.
Yes I got the application work on the phone.
The problem is I had some packages with standard names including java. , javax. etc. After I changed all the names it works well with the phone.
But i'm using some already existing classes. so i want to have the original package names. What should i do to to have those packages with original name. It is a must for me. -

I have a Problem with Romming Between SSIDs withing the same WLC but with deferent VLAN .
HI All,
I have a Problem with Romming Between SSIDs withing the same WLC but with deferent VLAN . the WLC are providing the HQ and one of the Branches the Wireless services .
Am using all the available 9 SSIDs at the HQ , and am using only 4 of it at the Brnche.
The problem that i have are happening only at the Branch office as i cant room between the SSIDs within Diferent VLANs but i can do it with the one that pointing to the same VLAN. Once the client ( Laptop/Phone ) connected to one of the SSIDs. it imposiible to have him connected to the other ones with Different VLAN. meanwhile, It says its connected to the other SSID but its not getting IP from that pool.
here is the Show Run-Config from my WLC .. and the Problem happening between the SSID AMOBILE and ASTAFF. i have the Debug while am switching between the SSIDs if needed .

In this mode, the clients are still remembers on the WLC until the session timer/idle timer expires. So switching between SSID's in h-reap will not be the same when switching when the AP's are in local mode.
Take a look at the client when connected in FlexConnect in the WLC GUI monitor tab. Thus will show you what ssid and vlan the client is on. Now switch to a different ssid and compare this. It's probably the same because the client has not timed out. Now go back to the other ssid and look again. Now on the WLC, remove or delete the client and then switch to the other ssid at the same time. Or switch SSID's and then remove the client. The client will join the new ssid and in the monitor tab, you should see the info.
There is no need to have clients have multiple SSID's unless your testing. Devices should only have one ssid profile configured to eliminate any connectivity issues from the device wanting to switch SSID's.

When you create a link to a web page in numbers "Mavericks" and we export the PDF file, the link is offset by 3 rows. Example: if I put a link on the text (with Cmd-K) in cell A1, I found the link A4. In fact, this feature becomes unusable. How can we solve this problem?
Thank you.Hi again Raja!
I did as you recommended and installed HTTPWatch and below is the outcome of that program. It is the exact string with the only exception of obfuscated servernames and portnumbers. The last part that begins with "sap_ep_baseurl=" makes me suspicious, is that part really correct? It looks like it's lacking things.
Best regards
Benny

How can I improve on db file sequential read/ do you see any other potential problems for my query execution time.
Thank you

I couldnt find the hash value , i am using this query
Hash values are o for the query output
select sid, sql_text,sql_hash_value
from v$session s, v$sql q
where sid in ('session id)
How can i find the hash value from sys.v_$active_session_history, i dont see a column which shows the hash valueYou can use the SQL_ID available in V$ACTIVE_SESSION_HISTORY. The parameter to DBMS_XPLAN.DISPLAY_CURSOR is actually the SQL_ID and not the hash value (in passing, the SQL_ID is actually an obfuscated hash value, but that's not the point here: http://blog.tanelpoder.com/2009/02/22/sql_id-is-just-a-fancy-representation-of-hash-value/).

Problem in executing cursor for loop
hi all,
I am facing following problem.
We are using cron utility on unix to run pl/sql stored procedure.
This procedure in turn calls separate procedures. However any one of the procedure does not end in pl/sql even though it has completed its intended processing.
We are using cursor for loop for data processing and also using database link to fetch data from other instance.
Can anyone help me on possible reasons for this problemThe proc only needs a single 'open s_cursor for ...' statement where the query is a join between all the tables involved. You have obfuscated your query so much in the post that I can't construct it for you (your second select doesn't even join to the 's' table), but the point is that you don't need a cursor loop, just a single query.

Netctl and WPA2 Personal AES, problem with authentication
I having trouble to connect to my WPA2 Personal 5ghz wireless AES (only) network using netctl. When I were using wicd it wasnt any problems. I assume there is something wrong in my profile but i cant find out what.
My config /etc/netctl/wlp4s0-limbo2

and this is the output from journalctl -xn

It is possible to reuse the obfuscated password from a dads.conf in the apex listener?
Hello there,
Little by little we are moving to the APEX 2 listener, good! But the problem is that every time that somebody ask me for a new set up I have the same problem:
I go to one of our DBAs (nice guys by the way!) and ask, "may I have the password for the APEX_PUBLIC_USER of this DB"?
The password is obfuscated, so the answer is: it needs to be changed => delay in the setup => unhappy users...
I have tried a classic copy and paste, this is take the obfuscated password from the dad and put it in the <entry key="db.password">, but of course it did not work, sigh...
Any thoughts on this?
Thanks in advance,
LuisIf you are using adobe Flex Builder to develop SWF, please be sure using ExternalInterface class to expose the refresh() method.
then you can should be able to call this method in Javascript. -

ThemeBasedFOI addEventListener problem!!!
I have added a mouse_click listener to a themeBasedFOI that zooms in to the MBR of an FOI when it is clicked. The only problem is, once the map has zoomed / panned in to the rectangle the mouse_click event isn't 'released', i.e., the map is still under the control of the mouse and gets dragged around until you click on it again... Anyone come across this problem? I have tried hacking in to the oraclemaps.js to see if I can figure out how to prevent the default behaviour of the mouse_click event, but it is too obfuscated for me to get my head round!
If possible can you please post a reproducible test case, preferably using the mvdemo data set that comes with MapViewer? thanks!

MD5 and Checksum Collisions ... A problem in APEX?
There is a glut of information on the internet about the weaknesses of MD5 as a hash calculation. For example, <a href ="http://lookit.typepad.com/lookit/2006/10/a_new_demonstra.html">here</a>, here, and even a number of examples on how to easily generate articles that collide here.
My questions are:
1. Why did the APEX team use MD5 when there are better hash options availabe in Oracle's own Obfuscation Toolkit or DBMS_CRYPTO for 10g and above.
2. What evidence can be given as to why we should not worry about potential collisions in our own APEX applications.
Thanks!
DougDoug,
1. Why did the APEX team use MD5 when there are better hash options available in Oracle's own Obfuscation Toolkit or DBMS_CRYPTO for 10g and above? At the time of the decision, MD5 was deemed to be the best available choice for the versions of Oracle in use then and with the developers' knowledge about the overall adequacy of the algorithm, for the purposes contemplated, based on what was generally accepted wisdom on the topic in the 1998-2000 timeframe.
2. What evidence can be given as to why we should not worry about potential collisions in our own APEX applications?Rigorously supportable evidence of this nature will have to come from parties better at math than I am (call this qualification Q). But here are some observations, some perhaps useful, some just fun to think about:
a) When you say "the math behind it points to the fact that 1 in every 2^16th string will collide in some way", I don't know what the entire assertion is, but I think (subject to Q) that 2*64 is a more useful number, being the average number of operations that would be required to generate a collision based on a 128-bit output. But that doesn't change the fact that the algorithm is imperfect, a characteristic of all methods.
b) For this discussion, I will assume that the real "worry" is about accidental collisions, not mounted attacks.
c) If we assume that "competing updaters" of a row in a real on-line application environment are more likely than not doing "different work" with the application, albeit against the same row, then the non-zero probability that the first updater's changes to a row will change the row length (the sum of the lengths of the character representation of the affected columns, or the md5 message m1) makes a collision of md5(m1) with md5(m2) less likely than in the canonical case described in the md5 collision risk examples which use messages of equal length. As I understand it, this is due to the large effect of the message length on the resultant hash. Of course, I cannot defend this further because of Q.
d) The problem addressed by our optimistic locking technique is "lost update prevention", not concurrency control. We want to maximize the cases where updates to single rows made by writer A using simple form pages do not get overwritten by updates made by writer B. The risk of this happening may be greatest when writer A commits a change, then writer B initiates a change and in full view of writer A's changes proceeds to overwrite those changes (update DEPARTMENT_TONER_INVENTORY SET ONHAND = ONHAND - 3 WHERE DEPTNO=4400). Assuming that page validations and table triggers do not prevent the second update due to data consistency checks and the like, writer B's changes will be committed and writer A's changes will be "lost". Whatever machinery (if any) you put in place in the back-end to prevent that from happening is sufficient to handle the md5-collision case as well. Therefore, the md5 problem is not only not a new class of problem, but it's relatively insignifcant because of its high improbability.
e) Speaking of high improbability, there is an inherent exposure in the implementation of this method in Application Express wherein writer A and writer B initiate changes to a row and obtain identical checksums on the pre-changed row. Then writer A submits the form which proceeds to re-compute the md5 on the row. That computation retards because the session gets swapped out, the table is accessed over a slow database link, whatever. This is time T1. At time T2 writer B submits its form which re-computes the md5 on the row, finds that it matches the md5 on the page and then immediately updates and commits its changes at time T3. Writer A's md5 calculation completed just before writer B's commit. The md5 matches that on the posted page. Writer A's changes then overwrite those just committed by writer B. As improbable as this might seem, I'll bet (subject to Q) that if you had a really high-concurrency workload (which would generate an unacceptably high number of "checksum mismatch" errors) that you would see this timing-based exposure far more (orders of magnitude) often than you would see the md5 collision problem.
f) In reality, users of applications who get an annoying number (frequency) of "row checksum mismatch" errors will complain loudly that the application is not working for them. They won't put up with it. They need a better architecture or set of business processes that prevent concurrent updates from the front end. The way this is addressed will (steeply) reduce the frequency of concurrent update attempts and by extension will make the md5 collision problem even less likely in that environment.
g) In conclusion, I think developers should worry about the lost update problem (and solutions for it) more in terms of the application architecture, the data model, processes/procedures that control how functionality within the application is used, etc., and less in terms of the safety-net of row-level optimistic locking implementation methods, the refinement of which may only serve to change the frequency of certain exposures from "once in a blue moon" to "a month of Sundays" (colloquial metrics required by Q).
Perhaps "Faith Based Locking" would be more apt.

Pause is not working in obfuscating
Hi every one
I am having strange problem.I put pause command in my game.If i am making jar file using proguard then game is not pause . but if i make simple jar with out progruard it works fine...I checked on N72 and sony k750
any one has idea what is problem??is it problem with obfuscation or my code...

I'm using the Retroguard obfuscator, and it seems to work great, except there's one problem...it doesn't obfuscate my main class that I have in a jar file. The class name is DuckHunter (which is also the name of the jar file), and I don't know why retroguard won't obfuscate it (it obfuscates everything else). Anyone know why?
Try making everything in DuckHunter non-public. I.e.
"static void main()", not "public static void
main()", also remove public from "public class
DuckHunter". Perhaps the obfuscator assumes that the
publics are called from the outside and so their
names can't be modified.Which makes sense. I accidentally used an obfuscator on reflection code. Took me quite a while until I found out why I kept getting NoSuchMethodExceptions. -
Hi,
I have successfully connected my WLC 2500 controller with 20 light weight Access points 1262N.
I have used the internal DHCP server option in the controller for the AP's and client.
Port 1 of the WLC is trunked with the switch 2960. All is working fine
The problem comes when I remove the Ethernet cable from the management interface and restart the WLC. The AP's don't come back. If I don't restart the WLC the AP's remain.
On the other hand, when I leave the Ethernet cable connected to the management port with my pc and then reboot the WLC, the AP's appear.
Seems like whenever im not physically connected to the management port of the WLC and restart it, the AP's don't come back. The only way to make them come back again is to connect my PC to the management port.
Please help me. What seems to be the problem here ?
Best Regards,Hi,
All 20 Pc;s are in one area connected to the same AP im assuming. The PC;s are stationary, so didnt check for roaming, but generally my laptop connectivity is fine while roaming. It rarely disconnects but users have complained that it did disconncect a few times.
