Obiee Report Error.

Hello,
I am trying to develop a report in obiee 11.1.1.5 using EBS R12.1.1 while developing i am getting following type of error.
I have EBS R12 & Obiee both on different machine on linux.
Could anyone please help me.

Let us know if you have followed the steps and are still seeing the error.

When i am tring to run a report i am getting following error.I am using Obiee 10g .Could you please suggest me here. What needs to be done to see the data.

Cause - The work directory has no available space. The disk may be full, or the directory may have reached its maximum size.
Response - Make space available in the directory(path - WORK_DIRECTORY_PATHS in NQSConfig.INI file ), or add another work directory to the NQSConfig.ini file by adding a path to the WORK_DIRECTORY_PATHS value.>

Error while integrating OBIEE report with EBS using Rich Content Container

I am trying to integrate OBIEE report with EBS using Rich Content Container OAF functionality. I have followed the steps mentioned in oracle Note - Embedding Analytics in Oracle E-Business Suite [ID 974422.1]. When i run my page, the container region comes up with the error message - The requested URL /pls/ghrfpkd2/OracleSSWA.Execute was not found on this server. Can someone please help me with some documents on the steps to integrate OBIEE with EBS using Rich Content Container.

I'm getting the same error on WebSphere 6.1.5. Is there any solution for this?

Reporting Error while Restart to apply Recent Changes in OBIEE 11g in EM

Hi Friends,
I tried to open my rpd in online mode in OBIEE 11g, For that i went into EM for getting my rpd updated...
So after all doing changes, I need to restart for applying changes, so I restarted the system components
But only 80% of it started, remaining 20% is showing error and these are the error details
"Restart failed with 2 errors: problems reported by coreapplication_obis1, coreapplication
see detailed logs for more information"..

how to solve these errors, because of this i couldn't able to open my repository in online mode as well as cannot able to update my .rpd file in presentation services in obiee 11g..

It's myself harry and i solved this problem, since this problem occurred for me as i tried to update my repository.rpd file for more than 5 times because of the error that it reported to me in my previous post...
How i solved this error means, i deleted all the other .rpd files(out of 5 i deleted 4) and i made some changes in my rpd file in the administration tool and after that i tried to update my rpd in EM..
Once it updated, then i gave restart to apply recent changes, after that my system components tempt to work as of 100%...

OBIEE Report Export from Dashboard to Excel doesn't suppress the columns as

OBIEE Report Export from Dashboard to Excel doesn't suppress the columns as expected even after the properties are set to Suppress in the report. In Dashboard it is suppressed Properly but in the excel export it is not suppressed and values for the columns are repeated.
Added the following to the instanceconfig :

OBIEE Writeback error Sax parser Expected entity name with ampersand gt/lt

I've enabled OBIEE 10.1.3.3.2 on Suse Linux 9.x writeback successfully for an OBIEE report, however if any of the fields contain XML special characters like ampersand, less than, greater than symbols etc when I save I get error:
An error occurred while writing to the server. Please check to make sure you have entered appropriate values. If the problem persists, contact your system administrator.

I think the problem is with '&' or might be with something else, if i choose other options form dropdowns its does not give me any error. only fot this customer "H&M SWEDEN"

Problem configuring the OBIEE Report Viewer Portlet to Oracle Portal!

OBIEE Server error

Hello guys,
I am running obiee 10.1.3.4 on top of essbase(7.1.6 ASO cubes) I have installed 9.3.1 Essbase client as well. Lately i am runining into a problem. When I cancel a request while it is still running it gives me a an error after while stating

State: HY000. Code: 10058. [NQODBC] [SQL_STATE: HY000] [nQSError: 10058] A general error has occurred. Essbase Error: Select for application spendbit failed, error 1013080 (HY000)
On the Linux server, when i cancel the request it actually crashes the BI server. so i end up restarting the server.But on Windows this erros will not crash the BI server but eventually all the reports error out with a "view display error" as shown above.So i end up bouncing the servers back which fixes my problem. So guys please suggest what i am missing here

hey Christian,
The error that i get is very random. we developed like 15 reports and i cant point to one report which causes the issue. So itz like even if i create a new request out of answers with new columns it still throws an error if any request is cancelled before.So it is very inconsistent but it does throw an error when i cancel the request in the middle. I do have sort order enabled for the months but i dont think that is causing an issue. i do have some reports which does not use months but it still gives an error and i dont think i have any account members or any other dimensional memebers with complex calculations.....
we are still waiting for the oracles response but you know how it works. Its taking really long time and we sent them the BI and essbase error logs and they are still working on it.we are asked to send out the core files and looks like the essbase time has come up that essbase is causing the nqserver crash and they are still trying to replicate a general case when it causes.
So i think we are too ahead of them and they are still figuring and testing out the generic cause that crashes the servor. So i just need a direction to move forward with any of the patches that might be helpful with my issue

Is there any possibility to view the existing OBIEE reports in Mobile App designer page and edit the same?

Hi Rayno,
Did you try to use a different browser and are you at the latest patch of BIMAD?
Mainly if you are on IE I guess the patches fix compatibility with the various version of IE most of the time (Firefox and Chrome are better for that).
I also remember your other issue having the dashboard to display only when all the analysis are loaded, so maybe you have something in your setup (network, proxy, browser version, corporate rules etc.) impacting the user experience of BIMAD (but not only) in such a negative way.
I didn't spend weeks on it but never got BI Server crash because of BIMAD and random java errors (are we really talking about java or javascript?).

Execute OBIEE report using Command Utility

I am working on OBIEE 11.1.1.5.0
I'm trying to execute/run OBIEE report through command utility and the output should be in any format other than text.
This report should be scheduled on hourly basis at particular destination/ location without using delivers scheduler.

I ran the report using nqcmd and to achive the desired result I had also specified the path by giving -0, which had also generated the pdf file for the same but the problem is when I'm opening the pdf file it throws an error saying "could not open 'quar3.pdf' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged". Below is what I had passed in cmd.
D:\MI2\Oracle_BI1\bifoundation\server\bin>nqcmd -d coreapplication_OH1426052389
-u weblogic -p weblogic_1 -s C:\quar3.sql -o C:\quar3.pdf
I tried creating .xls, .doc which gets generated but it is not in a tabular format.

OBIEE Strange error.

Hi all,
I am getting a strange error in OBIEE.
My report is vertical chart.
When I run the report for office A, its run fine but when i run it for office B we get the below error.
No activity occured based on your selection.
Please change your criteria and try again.
We have the data in DB for office B also.
any suggestion?

Check whether you have data for that criteria or not by writing Query in source..

Does Oracle provide document on OBIEE report XML information (such as element , sub element and property for each element)?

HtmlViewService not returning content of OBIEE report.

I am using C# to connect to OBIEE's Web Services. I am specifically using the HtmlViewService as I would like to return the HTML of certain OBIEE reports and embed them in ASP.NET pages. I have all the connection settings configured correctly and am able to call methods like getCommonBodyHTML, getHTMLForReport, getHtmlForPageWithOneReport, etc. (and obtain some sort of returned html) but the actual reports are not showing up.
I think the reason that html is being returned but no report is being displayed has to do with the ReportID and reportPath not being set correctly. At the most basic level, I would just like to return an entire report using the getHtmlForPageWithOneReport method. Originally this is what I had and I got errors:
The full path to my report is "/shared/webService/Sales"
The reportId is set to the name of my report: "Sales"
The reportRef is a ReportRef object with a URL of "/shared/webService"

Because of the errors, I set the reportRef's URL to "/shared/webService/Sales" in order to just make the code work, but I am still not getting working OBIEE reports. I basically only get the "Loading..." icon. The html that is returned has multiple forms with a bunch of hidden input tags.
Can someone help me with this problem? Am I missing something with the reportID and reportRef parameters?

Hi Josh,
I was also facing the same problem. The solution in my case was
removing the logoff() method at the end of the application.
In my understanding the application is clearing the session
even before the report is generated on the page. So try
removing the logoff(sessionID) method that you might be using
at the end of your application.

IF Condition in a PL/SQL Script give a report error.

Hello, Im German and I hope you can unterstand my Question.
First, I work with the HTML DB Version 1.6.0.0.0.87 and the Oracle Version 9.2.0.6.
I create a SQL Report, where a PL/SQL Script return the SQL Statement for the Report. This is my source-code, I have short it...:

This Script include a IF-THEN condition. The Condition is true and the sql-String-Variables are updatet.
I can get the string with htp.print() and the Statement is OK.
The report get a Error report error: ORA-1403: no data found. If I copy the printet sql String in a new Report Region with SQL String, the Report is OK. When I write IF(true) instead of IF( Condition) the Report is OK, too.
I try ist with Varibalen V(name) and with :name. Its always the same problem. I cant use IF-THEN-Else Conditions in a Script.
Please help me and say me what is the problem???

Hi Simona,
In the sql region below the region source see that you have " Use Generic Column Names (parse query at runtime only)" check and not " Use Query-Specific Column Names and Validate Query".
This error you usually get when you have a mismatch in your report heading.

Hi all
I've got a error msg when try to generate a report using Cisco history report tool:
Error | An Exceptional Error occurred. Application exiting. Check the log file for error 5022
It only happens when choose report template: ICD_Contact_Service_Queue_Activity_by_CSQ_en_us.
User tried samething on other PC, it working fine.
only on user' own PC and only choose this report, error appears.
user runing windows 7 and do not have crystal report installed
tried reinstalled the software, doesn't work.
also tried this: (https://cisco-support.hosted.jivesoftware.com/thread/2041254) - doesn't work
then tried https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-6209 - doesn't work

I have completely uninstalled the HRC, and download from server install again -- still doesn't work with exactly same error.
this matter only happens on this PC, when user try same thing on other PC, it works.
so i think it not relate to server or account.
