Object Name Size Limitations?

I noticed my form does some wierd things when the object name of a subform, textbox, etc. is larger than 22 Characters. Is there a limitation on the object name size?

None. I had a subform named TestingSpecialInstructions and when I changed it to SpecialInstructions the problems went away.

  • SQL2K to Oracle8i:  Object name length limitation

    It seems that there is a limitation of 30 chars to object names
    such as stored procedure or table name when the oracle model is
    generated. It truncates references to object with name longer
    than 30 char.

    We have DB2 universes with longer columns and they work fine. What version of BusinessObjects are you using?
    You can always update the object definition. The table structure is not that important. Just add the extra (missing) characters into the object (or join) definition and you should be fine.

    Hello Landfish,
    Good Day...
    The output gives the information that Size limit set for Receive and Send is 100 mb, but setting could have changed. So you can follow the below steps to resolve the issue.
    There are basically three places where you can configure default message size limits on Exchange:
    Organization transport settings
    Send/receive connector settings
    User mailbox settings.
    To check your server’s current limit you can open Exchange Management Shell
    Try the below commands to check the Message quota size limit
    get-transportconfig | ft maxsendsize, maxreceivesize
    get-receiveconnector | ft name, maxmessagesize
    get-sendconnector | ft name, maxmessagesize
    get-mailbox Administrator |ft Name, Maxsendsize, maxreceivesize
    To change the above size limits based on your requirement.
    Set-TransportConfig -MaxSendSize 200MB -MaxReceiveSize 500MB (Size is based on your requirement)
    Attachment size limit
    To set up the rule you can use the below PowerShell cmdlet, as the method is quite simple
    New-TransportRule -Name LargeAttach -AttachmentSizeOver 20MB -RejectMessageReasonText "Message attachment size over 20MB - email rejected."

  • Create object name using a String variable

    Hi,
    Im making a jsp page and I need to add several objects to a vector. The vector's name is arrayGrupo, and the object is Grupo. The problem is that when I create the instance of the object, I cant give him different names, so the add in the Vector will always be of the same object instance. Is there anyway to create an object name using a variable?
    Something like this:
    <% if (request.getParameter("grupoNome") != null ) {
                                       nomeG=request.getParameter("grupoNome");
                                       descG=request.getParameter("grupoDesc");
                                       int nG=arrayGrupo.getTamanho(); //size of the array
                                       String xpto=String.valueOf(nG);
                                       Grupo "xpto"= new Grupo(); //here is the problem
                                       xpto.setNomeGrupo(nomeG);
                                       xpto.setDescricao(descG);
                                       xpto.setIdgrupo(arrayGrupo.getTamanho()+1);
                                       arrayGrupo.addGrupo(xpto);
    }%>
    Thanks
    Rui Gonalves

    I want to show a list of objects that are stored in a vector. But I also want to add objects to that vector. If I just want to add one object, I can use this code:
    <% if (request.getParameter("grupoNome") != null ) {
                                       nomeG=request.getParameter("grupoNome");
                                       descG=request.getParameter("grupoDesc");
                                       Grupo newGrupo = new Grupo(nomeG,descG,arrayGrupo.getTamanho()+1);
                                       arrayGrupo.addGrupo(newGrupo);
    %>
    What should I do if I want to add more than one object to the vector?
    I dont know if I made myself clear but is quite hard to explain my problem.
    Thanks

  • HTML Editor size limitation?

    Hi,<br>
    I'm using Apex 3.1 on Oracle 10g...<br>
    Is there a size limitation on the number of characters in the HTML Editor? <br>
    We have a Report/Form combo for a column. clicking on the "Edit" Link from the Report takes you to the Form where you can edit it. <br>
    The corresponding database column is of type LONG. I see the data in the report, but clicking on Edit gives me an error - <br>

  • Bitmap/picture/whatever size limitation in Adobe Air on iPhone.

    Hi
    I'm gonna start on a new app and was wondering what the max width and height of a picture can be?
    I will import a big picture into my Flash CS5.5 (pro) and place it in a movieclip.
    I found this info on an old site from 2008:
    Note: The maximum dimensions of a bitmap in Flash Player is limited to 2880 pixels in either direction (width or height). If you attempt to create a BitmapData instance that is larger than this restriction, the Bitmap will not be created. This limit is in place to keep people from creating Flash movies that gobble up the client’s RAM. A bitmap that is 2880 x 2880 pixels, will use roughly 32MB of RAM.
    I'm not sure if that is the limit of today's flash version. I'm using Flash CS5.5 Pro.
    And íf now, let's say the max width and height of a picture (or should I rather say bitmap?) is 2880x2880, will the limit change in any way if it's placed in a movieclip?
    According to some more info on the same site, there's no limit if you do a "trick":
    [Workaround] Flash Bitmap maximum width and height
    The trick is to “kidnap” a BitmapData object from a loaded image with dimension over the limit of 2880 pixels (Which flash allows. Huh! Yes Flash can actually handle bitmaps larger the the limit. It just doesn’t let you create one.).
    It’s simple. Create a dummy image with the dimension you need. Save it and make it accessible to Flash. Dynamically load it using ActionScript. And take the loader object’s BitmapData object. That’s why I termed it “kidnap”. We are actually just taking the child of the parent object(loader object), which is the BitmapData, and use it like we build it ourselves.
    Here’s the actionscript ,
    // 1. Create an image loader and
    var DummyImageLoader:Loader = new Loader;
    // 2. Assign a function to “kidnap” the BitmapData object
    DummyImageLoader.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, DummyImageOnComplete);
    // 3. Load the image with the preferred dimension
    var DummyImageRequest:URLRequest = new URLRequest(“dummy_image.jpg”);
    DummyImageLoader.load(DummyImageRequest);
    function DummyImageOnComplete(evt:Event):void {
         var DummyImageBitmap = Bitmap(DummyImageLoader.content);
         // “kidnap” the BitmapData object
        var ValidBitmapData:BitmapData = DummyImageBitmap.bitmapData;
        // you can now use ValidBitmapData to draw any element larger than 2880×2880
    var InvalidBitmapData:BitmapData = new BitmapData(3000, 3000);
    Now, I don't think I can do it this way anyway, I need to import it and manually put stuff on the picture in the movieclip in the Flash IDE.
    Is there a difference in picture size limit between normal Flash stuff (no Adobe Air) and Adobe Air? Maybe the picture limit also changes if the app is made for an iPhone?, ie, size limit for Adobe Air could be 2880x2880, but the iPhone can only handle max 2000x2000 so I must not do bigger than 2000x2000.
    Speaking of picture size limits in Flash, I experienced a problem once in Flash MX. I had a picture of max size imported, I could scroll to the far right, left, up and down in the Flash Player (not IDE, this was with code) and I could see every bit of the picture, so it all worked ok... but for some reason, the graphics I manually placed on the picture (the graphics were tiny objects I've drawn myself placed in movieclips) only showed in a limited area... for instance:   the big picture I imported was 2880x2880, I have the starting position in the bottom right corner of the picture. I place some graphics on the picture far apart from each other.. first one on .x=2880/y=2880 (bottom right), then I placed several from that position to the far left, til I reached x=0/y=2880... for some reason the graphics half way to the left stopped showing. I only placed like 10 small things. So, if the picture size limit is 2880x2880, it can not show anything else beyond a certain point? only the picture itself?
    I apologize for my somewhat bad English... I find it hard to express what I want to say

    Ah, nice page... 16.7X mill seems to be the rough number.
    I didn't look such pages up as I wasn't sure, and still arn't if that size applies to everything with Flash. Could vary depending on what it's used for, like Adobe Air desktop apps, Adobe Air iPhone apps etc.... But I guess I'll just have to accept and hope it's the same for all.
    The largest square bitmap allowed is 4,095 x 4,095 pixels.  Nonrectangular size limits vary, for example, the following sizes all fit within Flash Player 10 limits:
    2169 x 7735
    3133 x 5355
    3315 x 5061
    3615 x 4641
    4095 x 4097
    4097 x 4095
    4641 x 3615
    5061 x 3315
    5355 x 3133
    7735 x 2169
    So guess I could make any size I want, as long as it's not above 7735xXXXX / XXXXx7735 and 16.7X million pixels.
    Wonder if that's how it is, or if I could have like 10000x1600...couldn't find that answer on that page.

  • Email attachment size limitation

    My boss has an I-Phone 4.  What is the size limitation of email attachments he can send or receive? Spoke to AT&T who said it is an Apple issue.

    Hi Shaju,
    I would suggest the following solution path:
    Execute the report (or whatever) and catch the output in an internal table. When using abap list output with the SUBMIT statement there's also an option to EXPORT LIST TO MEMORY and such. (I never used it but I've seen it working).
    Then send this output as an attachment (and not as mail text). Attachment are passed "as-is", as long there's not format conversion active for this output. If you name the attachment list.ALF and in SAPConnect you have ALF-->TXT then your attachment's going to be converted. But this should still keep your line-size of > 255.
    Best wishes,
       Florin

  • Asynchronous Consumer Message Size Limitation?

    Hello,
    We are currently evaluating the Sun Message Queue 3.5. We are able to successfully send and asynchronously receive messages that are less than 1K. However, when we increased the size of the message to 2K or more, the asynchronous consumer does not return the message and messages that we send subsequently (large or small) do not get received. Seems like the destination is blocked at that point. We are able to retrieve the message synchronously though using the receive(1000) method.
    Is there maybe a setting that we must check out for this?
    Also, is it possible to support both synchronous and asynchronous messaging at the same time?
    ie. Creating MessageListeners and also using the receive method for the same set of destinations?
    We were planning to use this as a workaround so that if the message is greater that 1K, we'll just receive it synchronously. However, synchronous receiving doesn't seem to work if there is a listener listening to a destination that contains a large message.
    Thanks for your time.

    Outside of specific configurable parameters, nothing in
    the system really cares about the size of the message.
    A few possible reasons:
    1. if you are using receive(timeout), the receive time may
    be too short to complete processing the message (since
    larger messages take longer to send over the network)
    2. if you are setting an expiration time, the larger messages
    could be expiring during the routing stage (since the
    messages take longer)
    3. The larger messages could be exceeding a configured
    size limit on either the destination or broker
    To check:
    imqcmd query dst -n <name> -t t
    or
    imqcmd query bkr
    And look at the size limits
    If the size limits are exceeded, the messages will be rejected.
    Additionally, if
