Object Text Type in BI 7.0

Hi All,
I have a scenario whereby to capture object text type (Eg in SD document) can be taken for Bi 7.0 reporting. Usually in ABAP we use function module u2018READ_TEXTu2019 to access the data.

I am unable to understand exactly wat you want.
But for free amount of lines : Keep that text under LOOP. Right click on template or window and create a loop and under that loop keep the text ,you can get many lines. or the given below point plzz follow.
1,Use SO10 Tcode to write standard text in Smartform.
2.For long text

Create TEXT node- general attributes change text type to include text
then you can input text name/text object/text id/language

create PROGRAM LINE node - use FM READ_TEXT to read it to a internal table
then use LOOP or TABLE node to display it
For TEXT module(For foreign language)
Tr-code:smartforms -- choose Text module(not choose form)--create a text module object

2. goto se37 and type that fm name.

4.Standard Texts are created in SO10 Tcode and stored in STXH table with OBject ,ID and NAME parameters. We can use Read_Text FM to read the text.

How to CAll Standard Text in Smart Forms
In SFs you can insert the standard tests using the TEXT node. Create a TEXT NODE. Then in the GENERAL ATTRIBUTES of this TEXT node select INCLUDE TEXT in the TYPE option. Then you have to enter the text name, object , ID and language in the provided fields. Then if you dont want any error if there is no text in the corresponding text then CHECK the check box "No errors if no text available.

Object text not coming in report selection screen

Hi,
i have an object task type for which text has been loaded.this is included in one reports selection screen.But in F4 only kee is displayed and not text.If check button is pressed text is displayed besides key.Also text doesnt come after report is executed.

Hi Prasanna,
In the Query Designer goto the properties of the required object that you want to display key and text for it, Select the Key and Text Display option. Then you can see in report key and text for that object.

Assigned Object text not displayed in Multi-Level Notification Lists (QM19)

Hello Everyone !
Today, i would like to share an issue I am facing in regards to Assigned objects in QM notifications.
We are using Assigned objects functionality available in Enterprise Extension PLM, Enhancement Package 4 (EA-PLM 604), to link inspection lots to notification items. Assigned object type Inspection lot is provided in standard by SAP.
All necessary configuration has been done and inspection lots are correctly linked. When we run Multi-level notification list (QM19) to display the details of notifications in a tree view with assigned objects, all information is coming except object text. In this case inspection lot text. The field is available in the structure but comes blank despite being filled in the lot.
I would like to know if anyone has encountered such issue and how did you solve it.

Unable to cast object of type 'Oracle.DataAccess.Types.OracleDecimal'......

I have some Oracle Tables with sequences for primary key and stored procs in packages to wrap up the insert commands. The sequences field are all declared as NUMBER.
I also have Datasets based on the tables and a DataAdapter for each package. The Datasets see the primary keys as System.Decimal. The DataAdapter sees the output primary key parameter to the stored procs as OracleDecimal.
tmp.Parameters.Add(new OracleParameter("P_ID", Oracle.DataAccess.Client.OracleDbType.Decimal, ParameterDirection.Output));
tmp.Parameters["P_ID"].SourceColumn = "ID";
When I call the Update on the DataAdapter the update happens on the DB and then I get the following error

Hi,
If you were running 5.1 version, that would also mean that you were running packages under SQL 2005.
And if you are now running SQL 2008 with BPC 7.0, you should also review all your customized packages. In fact, BPC tasks in SSIS are not the same between SQL 2005 and SQL 2008.
In addition, I would recommend to upgrade your SQL server version to SQL 2008 SP1 cumulative update package 6 (prerequisite). Not sure if you're still running this CU.

Copy activity fails while copying/reading sql object return type

I'm having a similar problem where I'm unable to copy data from a single element from a response from a stored procedure (through an ESB service). If I copy the entire response xml to another variable it works fine however.

PCUI - Different Text type for Accounts and Contact Persons

Hi All,
While configuring the Text Determination, how can we have different determination procedures for Accounts and Contacts. On the CRM back end side there is no distinction on the objtect type for account & contacts. Instead there is one for BP.
We defined a Text Det Proc for Object BUT000 (Business Partners) which gives us the same text types in both accounts and contact person screens in PCUI. But we want different text types. Can any one please advise.

How to display text type(Basic Texts) for product in CRM WebUI

hi,
I am new to CRM WebUI. We have Basic Texts (note type) configured for CRM Products. We want to store long desciption of product information here. I have added it through text types and text determination procedure configurations
1. CRM > Basic Functions > Text Management > Define Text Objects and Text Types and
2. CRM > Basic Functions > Text Management > Define Text Determination Procedure.
I can see my text type comming in SAPGUI. I have a business requirement to show this text type on the WebUI...
Please let me know how to make it appear on the product maintainance page in WebUI.

It should be available in std view. If not you can make the Assignment Block visisble in your Overview Page (Component - PRDTXT, View - ListWindow). You will get a Assignment Block named Notes.

Maintain Text Types in Material Master

Hi,
Is it possible to maintain different text types in the materials master "Sales text" tab just like we can maintain at the sales order header and item levels.
In VOTXN there is no option for configuring text types for material master (text object MVKE) so I was wondering that if it is possible at all. Please let me know if you have any idea on the same.

In Material Master you can maintain the "Basic data text". It can be maintained in Basic data 1 view by selecting the Additional data. This text can also be fetched according to your requirement with the help of developer.

Restrict (hide) text type by sales org when creating notes for accounts

I have created 5 new text object IDs in text determination procedure BUT000. There are now approximately 40 text IDs in total. These 5 new text object IDs will only be used for 1 sales org. The other 35 will be used for various other sales org. When I go to create a note for the Business Partner in the WebClient UI (6.0) I have to select from a drop down list of 40 text types. As each user can only belong to 1 sales org, the user will never create a note of any other type apart from the 5 I created.
Therefore, is it possible to just show the 5 text types that I created? If so how do I go about doing this?

I am not sure whether I have understood you correctly. If the user will never create a note to any other type of text apart from those 5 you have created then in Definition of procedure you can delete the rest 35 and then you will have only 5 text types.
the path is SPRO -> CRM -> BF -> Text Management -> Define Text Det. Procedure -> Select BUT000 -> Double click on folder Procedure -> here you can create Text. Det. Procedure and assign the text types you want.

Object - Text Frame Options

Why do my Object, text frame options, inset spacing settings change when I close and open my document.I set my inset spacing to 0.125 an all and when I close the document and open it later it is all set back to 0. Any suggestions? My defalut settings are 0.125

I did this. I open in design but no doc's set inset to .125 and then open a doc and it is set to 0.125. I use it and save it when I open it again it is set at 0. But the pages I created previously are set to 0.125. Could it be something else in a default somewhere?
