OBTM Extract consumer info from X509 certificate

All,
Currently working with OBTM Release 12.1.0.3.6: build 26660. We try to set up segmentation based on the certificate used for signature.
In previous release of OBTM ( Amberpoint ), it was possible to extract the CN from it. Anyone experience with that in the current release? When we extract the certificate from the message, it get even truncated so it's not usable.
Any help, welcome!
Tyia,
Cheers!

  • Extracting EXIF info from Jpeg + And Stitching Algorithm

    I develop Stiching program for digital images in order to create Panoramas with Java. I need to extract EXIF meta data from Jpeg images : focus, focal lens, exposure, constrat, white balance, shutter speed et al.
    I ve looked at several code in Java on google, i dont understand much, if anyone can explain it in a simple way for me plz, i will be very appreciate.
    Also if anyone have any info on stitching algorithm using Java , it will be very helpful.
    Thank you
    Hoan

    I examined your sample .jpg with Exiftool, the most authoritative metadata tool available, and I also used the following tools to examine the metadata:
    OS X 10.9.5: Finder, Preview, Photoshop CC 2014, LR 5.6, exiv2
    Windows 8.1: File Explorer, Irfanview 4.38
    All of these were able to display the EXIF metadata, including exposure information, without problems, and Exiftool didn’t flag any nonconformities.  So it seems that it’s the Android apps that aren’t conforming to the standards.
    Looking at the internal structure of the LR-produced .jpg, I suspect that it is producing a layout of the IFD0, IFD1, and ExifIDF sections that the Android apps aren’t expecting (because the developers didn’t follow the standards).  LR produces the following ordering: unused bytes, ExifIFD, IFD1, IFD0.  A more typical ordering would be: (no unused bytes), IFD0, ExfIFD, IFD1.   Both orderings conform with the standards.
    You could test out this hypothesis by obtaining a copy of the free Exiftool and then in a Terminal window (Mac) or command prompt (Windows) do the following command:
    exiftool –exif:usercomment=”Hello world!” sample.jpg
    This will cause Exiftool to rewrite the Exif metadata in the more-common ordering.  If the Android apps can now see the EXIF exposure metadata in the modified sample.jpg, then that confirms the apps are non-standards-conforming and should be fixed.

  • How to extract email address from a certificate?

    I have a PDF that has been signed with a digital signature.
    Using Coldfusion/CFScript and JAVA calls with iText API, I am able to get the following information out of the certificate:
    - Validity dates (from/to)
    - Subject Fields
    - Issuer information
    If I check the certificate in READER under the DETAILS tab of the certificate, I can see "Certificate Data" including the name "RFC822 email".
    The subject fields of the certificate doesn't include the EmailAddress so my question is WHERE do I look to get the email address value for the certificate data "RFC822 email"?
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks!

    Hi there, I'm looking for something similar but wanted to extract the date instead.
    See attach snapshot (Note: this forum wouldn't allow me to upload signed PDF so I'm uploading the image instead)
    I am aware that we can change the appearance of the digital signature to make the date visible but in most case, it is too small to read on hardcopies.
    We resort by manually typing in the date, zoom into PDF (to see visible date associated with digital signature), to click on the digital signature image to open the signature properties dialog, or to open the Signatures tab window that's sitting at the left.
    Manual typing in the date expose us to the problem when the PDF was created vs. the actual date the PDF was signed (data associated with digital signature/certificate).
    Hope I am making sense.
    Regards,
    Devin

  • Extracting return operation from a parallel sequence in a routing.

    Hi all
    I need to extract data on some existing parallel sequences in routings from R3. One of the fields i need is the return operation for each parallel sequence.
    I was hoping the data would be in PLFL which contains most of the sequence information I need. But alas it doesn't have the return operation.
    Checking with F1 and the tech button shows me that the field i want is PLFLD-VORNR2. But PLFLD is a structure that I can't get to.
    Does anyone know how to extract this info from the system?
    Regards
    Simon Pedersen

    Hi Simon,
    The field that you're looking for is PLFL-BKNT2 (for the return operation). Pay attention that in this field there's a number that is representing the operation node number, not the number that you see in the routing screen.

  • X509 Certificate Generation from a URL

    Hi All,
    I can easily create a X509 Certificate from a text file using the CertificateFactory class and display all the fields in the generated certificate.
    Now, I wish to do same thing but using an url instead of a text file. I would like to know the followings:
    1. whether a X509 Certificate (or any other type) is associated with a server represented by the given URL. For instance, say url is http://www.xyz.com, so I wish to know whether this site has a X509 Certificate associated with it.
    2. if yes, I would like to download the certificate and read the certificate contents.
    How to do these two things?
    Can someone throw some light in this connection? Your help will be highly appreciated.
    Regards,
    ~Mohan

    I saw your posting.. I don't have an answer for you, but I need to create some X509 certificates, and I'd really apprectiate it if you could share how you created them from a file..

  • Accessing X509 certificate info

    We are authenticating by using a certificate for the web server. We need to authorize users for a web service by using the CN or DN shown on the certificate. For the web services, how can I pull the CN or DN off the certificate used for a web service transaction?

    I cant help you much with Oracle Apps. But my 2 cents.
    If your App server/ web server is validating the client X509 Certificates, once authentication is successful, some identifier should be passed on to your application. You should be able to leverage that to get the user CN or DN.
    When you access a web server from within your application, you can then control who can access the web service and still pass the user CN or DN or other user identifier in the SOAP Header, which the Web Service can validate. Your web service has to perform the authorization check even if you perform this at the client side.
    When the service is going to validate the User CN or DN, it is going to rely on SOAP message eitehr as body or as custom header. In this case you have to generate the SOAP message from the client with appropriate values which your application should have mapped it.

  • How can I retrieve/compute an X509 certificate's thumbprint in Python and then use it for accessing Service Management APIs from Python SDK?

    Hello,
    I am using Azure Python SDK to perform calls to ServiceManagement APIs.
    I have a .publishsettings file generated for my account which includes an encoded version of my X509 certificate and all of my subscription IDs.
    How can I retrieve/compute an X509 certificate's thumbprint in Python?
    Following is the code snippet that helps us do it in .Net.
    Is there a similar approach to do it in Python?
    var publishSettingsFile = @"C:\temp\CORP DPE Account-11-16-2011-credentials.publishsettings";
    XDocument xdoc = XDocument.Load(publishSettingsFile);
    var managementCertbase64string = xdoc.Descendants("PublishProfile").Single().Attribute("ManagementCertificate").Value;
    var importedCert = new X509Certificate2(Convert.FromBase64String(managementCertbase64string));
    thumbprint = importedCert.Thumbprint;
    Once I have the thumbprint, how can I use that thumbprint to access Service Management APIs from Python SDK?
    Thank you in Advance!

  • What is the best way to extract/consume HR data to and from Peoplesoft?

    I have to do integration between Peoplesoft and Oracle ERP to send HR data from Peoplesoft to Oracle HRMS. I will use Oracle Fusion Middleware for building the interface. I don't have much experience in working with Peoplesoft tools, like PeopleTool, App Engine, Integration Broker, Component Interface and Oracle adapter for Peoplesoft. Can somebody please let me know what is the most popular or recommended or best way to extract HR data from Peoplesoft.
    The second interface will consume some HR data from Oracle. Once again I need to know different ways to insert data into Peoplesoft.
    I appreciate if you can share your experience for the above two scenarios.

    If you plan on buying a apple laptop you have two options. You can use time machine or pull the data off of it directly and put it onto the external. I advise the second choice. This way you do not have stuff that you dont need filling up the space on your new drive. Get your applications, music, documents, photos, videos and perhaps downloads and desktop; Put all of these on your external. And then reinstall osx onto your drive.
    *** If buying a windows machine next check the format of the drive in disk utility. You will need a program called Paragon NTFS to format the drive window compatibility. You have to pay for the free version but can download a trail version for free.

  • Extract info from RFH2 header in MQ message

    Hi All,
    I'm trying to send a MQ message with RFH header. Purpose is that JMS adapter extracts user data from RFH Header.
    A few questions:
    1.Format RFH2 header:
    -In the MQMD I assign the format: MQFMT_RF_HEADER_2
    -Apart from the mandatory fields in the RFH2 header I write user data to it as well and it looks like this:
    <usr><msgType dt="string">data</msgType></usr>    Is this sufficient or should there be an additional surrounding tag like <MQRFH2>?
    2.In PI, I use a JMS Adapter. On the Module-tab I have added AF_Modules/DynamicConfigurationBean (type: Local Enterprise Bean, Module Key: RFHHEADER), after ConvertBinaryToXMBMessage  and before CallSapAdapter.
    Under Module Configuration I added 2 entries:
    RFHHEADER     key.0     read http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/JMS DCJMSMessageProperty0
    RFHHEADER     value.0     msgType
    I want to extract the value of msgType and use it.
    On the Parameter-tab, I suppose I have to add Adapter-specific message attributes, but it is not exactly clear what I should put there.
    3.Dynamic Configuration Bean
    Is there anything I should do to activate that Dynamic Configuration Bean, because when I sent I message, I don't see anything in the monitor of the processed XML messages, not even an error.
    Kind Regards

    The list of additional parameters are stored in the ASMA field.
    So you enter here the header value "msgType" with type String
    The value "data" is stored in DCJMSMessageProperty0
    You do not need the DynamicConfigurationBean in this scenario.

  • How can I get sigalg attribute from a given X509 certificate

    Hi,
    I am verifying my client's digigital signature like this
    String sigalg = "SHA1WithRSA";
    Signature sig = Signature.getInstance(sigalg);
    sig.initVerify(pubKey);
    sig.update(sEnvelope.getBody().toString().getBytes());
    return sig.verify(Base64.decode(sigValue));
    while getting signature instance, rightnow I am hardcoding that to "SHA!withRSA", because I know that client is comming with that signatureAlgorithm, If another client comes with another alogorithm say "MD5withRSA", it is going to be failed. how can I change that sigAlg variable dynamically, based on different signature ?? what I have from the client is certificate file. how can I get signature algorithm from the certificate or from publicKey object ??
    Thanx, Venu

    Check the following methods in X509Certificate:
    getSigAlgName
    getSigAlgOID
