Occasional hang up of IE and hibernation on Satellite A100

Hello,
I have a Satellite A100 with Windows Vista. It works fine, but I have two problems:
-Sometimes Internet Explorer hangs up, often making the whole system "freeze".
-The system does not recover properly from hibernation. It seems to re-initiate activity but then the start screen showing the Toshiba logo appears, as when switching on the computer.
Then, a blue screen shows a fast message reporting some error or problem (sorry, the text flows and disappears too fast for me to read it) and I get a message asking whether I want to solve the problem that led to an abnormal shut up by starting in safe mode or start Windows normally.
Can anyone help? I will appreciate any assistance. Thanks in advance.

just some suggestions, maybe no the whole resolution but helpful:
Regarding your IE-Problem
1. Make all updates you can get (Windows, 3rd party software, etc...)
2. Install a Anti-Virus Program if not already did (a good one is Avira Anti-virus and its *tadaaaa* Freee!)
3. Use Mozilla Firefox instead of M$-Internet Explorer, its faster, not so buggy and there are PLENTY of free plugins for it :)
Regarding your hibernation problem:
1. Update your bios to the latest available version.
2. To read the bluescreen, do the following:
Right-Click on "My Computer", then Left-click on the tab "Advanced", then on settings in the section "Startup & Recovery", then uncheck the box "Automatically restart" under "System failure" and now youre able to read whats described in the BSOD (Blue-screen-of-Dea**)

We have also had similar problems like this during the scheduling of process chains. This problem is not only restricted to Open hubs but also in triggering of infopackages and activations. The process simply hangs and does nothing there.
I donot know for sure the main cause of this but for us the problem always occured when 2 process chains where scheduled exactly at the same time in the background.
Just try to check if yours is also a similar case or not. And then you can work on maintaining your schedule efficiently so that the jobs dont get trigger simultaneously.

Sleep and hibernation is working on Server 2012 with started hypervisor! I do not know why...

I enabled Hyper-V role in the Microsoft Windows Server 2012 on testing computer (PC with i7 CPU and 16GB RAM). I found very strange behavior. The sleep mode was enabled and after command “powercfg /hibernation on” the hibernation is also working.
I tested sleep (S3) and hibernation with started hypervisor and with running virtual machine. I tested sleep and hibernation triggered by power button and even with time-out that was set in the Power Options (I set sleep after 1 minute and
later hibernate after 1 minute and wait).
Sleep and hibernation is working! I do not understand why. Sleep and hibernation should be functional only on Client Hyper-V on Windows 8 and not on the Server 2012.
Some examples:
Testing workstation (i7, 16GB RAM) with Server 2012 and with started hypervisor:

Hi Ben,
I have nearly exactly the same Problem as Relef Revil.
I have Lenovo T510 Notebook with Core I7 and a Lenovo T420 Notebook with a CoreI5.
On my T510 S3 Sleep works perfectly with Hyper-V Role. On my T420 Sleep is disabled due to Hypervisor.
If I uninstall Hyper-V Role then Sleep works again as expected.
So, from a Little simple perspective, I Looks like this is a Hyper-V Thing or Problem.
I have als updated to the latest BIOS and latest Intel HD Graphics 3000 Drivers on this Win 2012R2 Maschine.
Also I have installed all possbile latest Versions of all other devices.
Could you probably give me an idea where to search for a solution.
So, what is the logic why Hyper-V disables sleep, when Sleep worked before?
I assumed that Hyper-V and Sleep ist generally possible on Win2012R2, especially when Sleep works perfectly when Hyper-V Role is not installed.

We've an article that provides the following troubleshooting steps that may help stabilize your iPhone.

If there are multiple apps trying to download at once, only one can download at a time and the rest say "Waiting" until it is then their turn. Try this. Double tap the icon of the Waiting app, and it should resume the download.
If that doesn't work:
• Log out of your iTunes store account. Go to Settings > Store > Sign Out Then press the Home button.
• Then press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously and don't release them when it brings up the Turn Off screen; keep holding them until the Apple logo appears.
• After restart, the Waiting should be gone.

- The E5 does not have a red light when you take pictures.
- I don't know about battery life comparing with E6 and E72, just can say on the E5 is quite good. It has a 1200 mAh battery, you should check the others, but also the features of each one, i.e. the E6 is a touchscreen one, so it consumes more power.
- It has a notification white light, around the navigation button.

I can live with it but thought there may be some way to correct this surely. I'm not heavily technically minded and have read reports about the racoon service may be causing this but not sure how you do this very simply step by step

Hi i bought two N 97 three weeks ago one i have it which is working fine and other i send it to my brother. today he told me after using that phone for 3 days the phone is hanging then shutting down and restarting automatically. The phone is prone to memory problems (lack of) and requires a lot of maintainance, if he has a lot of live widgets running on the homescreen and applications running in the background, this wouldn't help ! Would suggest you check out some of the threads for memory management out on the forum. Also check for software updates, remove anything you can from the C drive, store all messages and apps etc you can on E, and ensure you clear the cache in the browser on a regular basis.

WSUS Hangs on "Unused updates and update revisions"

In our environment we have not cleaned up WSUS updates in a while, probably about a year. I have been tasked with cleaning it up and optimizing it. When I attempt to run the WSUS Server Cleanup Wizard, it hangs on "Unused updates and update revisions"
and doesn't do anything. The wizard then disappears and I am taken back to the WSUS Console where I see the following:

When I click copy error to clipboard, this is what is copied:
The WSUS administration console was unable to connect to the WSUS Server Database.
Verify that SQL server is running on the WSUS Server. If the problem persists, try restarting SQL.

In my research, I have found several solutions, and have tried a few of my own. Below I will list the ones I have tried:
1. Run each item individually. IE, run superseded updates, then run expired updates after that finishes, then run unneeded update files after that finishes, etc. This did not work
2. Stop the WSUS IIS service and run "wsusutil.exe removeunneededupdates" this also did not work
The solutions I have found, but am hesitant to try (due to the fact that we are in a live production environment) are the following:
1. Re-Index the WSUS Database according to the following link:

2. Deleting the files in the WSUS folder and running "wsusutil.exe reset" from the following link:

I would like to know what, if any, impact either of these solutions will have on our environment, and which one would be the preferred method. I feel like I should use the first one, and if I still don't have any luck then try the second. My only concern
with the second method is that it might break something (not sure what, except updates).
A little about our environment - 8,000 computers, WSUS and SCCM are on the same Server 2008 R2 server, we only have the one WSUS and SCCM server, so nothing downstream as far as WSUS is concerned.

UPDATE:
I have started going through and declining updates, and then going through SCCM and removing any expired updates from the SCCM side as well. I am now down to 3822 unapproved updates in WSUS, with a total of 13304 updates.
At this point I am STILL UNABLE to run the cleanup wizard to clean up any of these. It still hangs when it runs, and only on Unused Updates and update revisions. I have even tried running powershell scripts and command line utilities to clean WSUS up, and
still just hangs. I am pretty much at a loss, so any other advice would be appreciated.
One more question, should it resort to this: What impact does resetting WSUS have on a live environment, with 7000 plus computers? Should I have to resort to it, is this something that is going to cause any major issues?
We do plan on preventing this in the future by running the database defrag once a month, and running the WSUS Server Cleanup Wizard once per quarter, but getting there sure is proving to be quite the challenge.
