  • OCI Error ORA-01403: no data found in oracle goldengate replication after tts instaniation

I recently migrated our tg core system from sun solaris(11.1.0.7) to linux (11.2.0.3) environment using goldengate method (transportable tablespace method used for instantiation).
The initial replication worked with HANDLECOLLISIONS and after I monitor the lag finished, I took Handlecollisions off and noticed discarded report with OCI Error ORA-01403: no data found in two replications.
I followed every step in the tts migration steps provided by oracle best practice.
Can anybody provide any clue how do I fix this issue?
    Thank you in advance.

extract and replicat are on schema level.
DO I have to do anything for replication on schema level?
Basic trandata logging enabled on source.

  • Replicat error: ORA-12899: value too large for column ...

    Hi,
In our system Source and Target are on the same physical server and in the same Oracle instance. Just different schemes.
Tables on the target were created as 'create table ... as select * from ... source_table', so they have a similar structure. Table names are also similar.
I started replicat, it worked fine for several hours, but when I inserted Chinese symbols into the source table I got an error:
WARNING OGG-00869 Oracle GoldenGate Delivery for Oracle, OGGEX1.prm: OCI Error ORA-12899: value too large for column "MY_TARGET_SCHEMA"."TABLE1"."*FIRSTNAME*" (actual: 93, maximum: 40) (status = 12899), SQL <INSERT INTO "MY_TARGET_SCHEMA"."TABLE1" ("USERID","USERNAME","FIRSTNAME","LASTNAME",....>.
    FIRSTNAME is Varchar2(40 char) field.
I suppose the problem probably is our database is running with NLS_LENGTH_SEMANTICS='CHAR'
I've double checked tables structure on the target - it's identical with the source.
I also tried to manually insert this record into the target table using 'insert into ... select * from ... ' statement - it works. The problem seems to be in the replicat.
    How to fix this error?
    Thanks in advance!

whether my oracle's version 11.2.0.1 has no the RDBMS bug fix, and other  problems? Thanks

Oracle R Enterprise 1.1. requires Oracle Database 11.2.0.3, 11.2.0.4. On Linux and Windows.  Oracle R Enterprise can also work with an 11.2.0.1 or 11.2.0.2 database if it is properly patched.
Embedded R execution will not work without a patched database.  Follow this procedure to patch the database:
    1. Go to My Oracle Support:http://support.oracle.com
    2. Log in and supply your Customer Support ID (CSI).
    3. Choose the Patches & Updates tab.
    4. In the Patch Search box, type 11678127
    and click Search
    5. Select the patch for your version of Oracle Database, 11.2.0.1.
    6. Click Download to download the patch.

  • Ora (OCI) error codes for TAF failure

    Hi,
I am working on project where in I have to support Transparent Application Failover (TAF) in GUI (using Java). From web (by googling) I found that this is automatically done by JDBC Thick (OCI) drivers.
I also found in some web site that there are lot of Ora Error Codes for various senarios like SELECT TAF failure(Ora 25401), or for DML command TAF failure(Ora 25402).
Is there any set/range of Ora(OCI) Error Code which is specifically for all TAF failure senario?
    Thanks
    Ram

    :-)

    Workaround
    Solution Description
기존에 사용하던 "OFSA45" 라는 listener가 다른 이름으로 바뀌어 있었다.
    OFSA45 Listener를 다시 만들고 test하니, 잘 됨.

    -------------------

First, don't use an ODBC connection, use OCI. Secondly you need to search what's the active home. Also change all your TNSNAMES.ORA files that you can find in your system to make they have the DB name you are trying to resolve. Then try to "tnsping" the DB from a CMD prompt.

  • ORA-24330: internal OCI error on OCIStmtFetch2

I get an internal OCI error when using:
    OCIStmtFetch2(stmt, errhp,(ub4)1, OCI_FETCH_LAST, 0, OCI_DEFAULT);
    And
    OCIAttrGet (stmt, OCI_HTYPE_STMT, (dvoid *) &numrows, (ub4 *) 0, (ub4) OCI_ATTR_CURRENT_POSITION, errhp);
    return 0 in numrows.
    What might be the problem?
Is There some other way of finding out how many rows there is in a result set before accually fetching them all and counting?

    Answering my own question:
My linux kernel option for shared memory was set to low.
With a larger value in /proc/sys/kernel/shmmax the problem went away.

  • Java.sql.SQLException: Error while trying to retrieve text for error ORA-24

    Hi All,
Am having serious problem with ORA-24327 and the behavior is very very unpredictable. I have couple of environment where the same error comes in different context. The recent one was surprising. I have describe bellow the environment configuration and the stack trace. The error which surprised me was when I use type 3 driver while starting weblogic I get ORA 24327 but when I use Type 4 it starts properly. If you could kindly provide solution it would be great help. I would also appreciate if u can provide information which driver to use where performance is the major concern. I would also appreciate if u could provide feed-back from the industry about booth the driver. Apart from that I have couple have environment where it occurs when 10/12 user access simultaneously. All the open connection is closed in program properly still am getting the error.
    Thanks in anticipation.

    Hi,
I guess you can try some of these:
    - Make sure you're not missing an entry inside your tnsnames.ora file. Thin driver does not require the information inside that file, as opposed to Weblogic's OCI driver. If you are able to connect to the DB using a thin driver, then the problem is most probably (WL)driver-related.
    - Make sure you've properly configured the DB user / password inside your weblogic.properties (config.xml if WL6+).
    - Make sure you're able to access all drivers and classes required (PATH, CLASSPATH, etc...)
    - Make sure the OCI driver version you are using is fully compatible with the Oracle (server) version you are pointing to.
    - Try to access the DB user through some other client (for instance, SQLPlus*).
Hope this is of some help,
    Freddy.

  • Error while trying to retrieve text for error ORA-32101

    Hello!
I have Aix 5.1 and ORacle 9.2. I have compiled a little program as in samples and when i run it, it gives me an error:
Error while trying to retrieve text for error ORA-32101
The error comes from the Enevironment::createEnvironment().
Can someone tell me if i need an client to be installed to run applications on the same machine as server or not?
Why this error, i didnt't do anything special than samples. It is not my environment ok set , did i miss something (is the cleine required even in this case?)
    thanks.
    Cristina

For any release prior to 10g, you need a database client install to use OCCI.
With 10g you can use the instant client to deploy applications making use of OCI/OCCI without having to install the entire client.
    Have a look at
    http://otn.oracle.com/tech/oci/instantclient/instantclient.html

    Hi,
I'm using Weblogic OCI driver to connect to Oracle 9.2.0.3 DB. WLS version

I've set the LD_LIBRARY_PATH to $ORACLE_HOME/lib32:$ORACLE_HOME/lib in addition

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Mitesh,
Thanks for your suggestion. Looks like ORACLE_HOME and ORACLE_BASE need to
set in the $CLASSPATH variable. It's working now. Thanks once again.

    Hi Kanda!
Also, use lib32 directory instead of $ORACLE_HOME/lib32:$ORACLE_HOME/lib
    in
    your environment for 920 jDdriver.
Then try java utils.dbping oracle user passwd databasename to see if
    it is
successful meaning your environment is set for weblogic 920 jDriver.
    Also,
make sure you have entry in your tnsnames.ora file for the database.

    Hi gurus
I don't believe if this is missing solution from oracle community. I have decided to installed the collction agent and source database in linux system, so now both auditt vault server and collction agent are running in Linux system (but separately)
I am wondering, avorcldb add_collector -srcname ORCL -agentname avagent01 -colltype DBAUD and  avorcldb add_collector -srcname ORCL -agentname avagent01 -colltype OSAUD -orclhome /u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/dbhome_1 are working fine and  I am able to start these collectors
The  avorcldb verify -src Lugaosrv:1521:ORCL.LUGAOSRV -colltype ALL command also return good results
[oracle@avsrv ~]$ avorcldb verify -src Lugaosrv:1521:ORCL.LUGAOSRV -colltype ALL
    Enter Source user name: srcuser_ora01
    Enter Source password:
source ORCL.LUGAOSRV verified for OS File Audit Collector collector
source ORCL.LUGAOSRV verified for Aud$/FGA_LOG$ Audit Collector collector
source ORCL.LUGAOSRV verified for REDO Log Audit Collector collector
    [oracle@avsrv ~]$
The problem still I am facing is when attempting to add REDO collector. In fact the collector is added successful and i can see it even on EM console.
    [oracle@avsrv ~]$ avorcldb add_collector -srcname ORCL -agentname avagent01 -colltype REDO -av Lugaosrv:1521:ORCL.LUGAOSRV
source ORCL verified for REDO Log Audit Collector collector
    Adding collector...
    Collector added successfully.
remember the following information for use in avctl
    Collector name (collname): REDO_Collector
    initializing REDO Collector
ERROR: could not get AV source user connection using jdbc:oracle:oci:@(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(HOST=Lugaosrv)(PORT=1521))(CONNECT_DATA=(SERVICE_NAME=ORCL.LUGAOSRV)))
ERROR: ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied
    [oracle@avsrv ~]$
    Any help will be appreciated

  • SQL*Loader error ORA-00600 and ORA-26095

    Hi all,
We have a problem with the SQL*Loader Utility. We use an 8i-Database (8.1.7) and SQL*Loader 9.2.0.1.0. We have no Trims or other functions active in the control file and do a direct path load.
It used to work properly until this morning.
Now we have the following errors (it is in German - but I can translate it):
Satz 90153: Abgelehnt - Fehler in Tabelle SCHEMA1.T_IMPORT.
    ORA-00600: Interner Fehlercode, Argumente: [klaprs_50], [7], [], [], [], [], [], []
    ... about 50 equal errors
Specify SKIP=90171 when continuing the load.
Specify SKIP=90171 when continuing the load.
    Trnaslation:
    00600 - Internal error code, arguments: ...
    OCI-Fehler = OCI error
    für Tabelle = for table
ORA-26095: Nicht verarbeitete Stream-Daten vorhanden = Non processed stream data existing
SQL*Loader-2026: Der Ladevorgang wurde abgebrochen, weil er nicht fortgesetzt werden kann. = Load process has been cancelled as it cannot be continued.
    Has anyone got a clue?!?!?!

    Hi,
It's very clear that import 9i is for an import into 9i database.
Upgrade 8i to 9i indicates that we can make an export 8i from 8i database and import 9i into 9i database, but never use a tools like export from other version...
If you want import data from 9i database into 8i use exp tools 8i, and imp 8i.
I devise you to read Metalink note 132904.1 - compatibility matrix for export & import between different oracl version.
    Nicolas.
