OCR Issue

Question

Hello,
I am having a wierd error with Adobe Acrobat Pro 8. When I try to OCR a document in Acrobat it reduces the actual size of the view PDF image and moves it to the lower right hand side of the page. The image itself goes from eight and a half by eleven to one and a half by one inch. I have tried googling for the answer but haven't found anything that relates.
Can anyone offer any insight?

Here is my code to read from a file ....i need to grab tabular data.... where my sam.txt contains line-by-line and top-down structure:
