hi i need to put data from an rdbms to flat file using a variable to specify which file to put the data in.
now i know how to put the data into flat file by specifying the file name as the resource name while creating the target datastore.
now i need to use a variable instead of directly specifying the file name.
the variable must contain a query that can fetch the file name based on the count of another variable..........so i can chose which file to write the data too......

i created a variable named var1
i entered abc.txt as the default value of the variable.
in the target datastore resource name i entered #var1
and i created the package with var1 as refreshing followed by my interface as you said.
the problem is that the file being created is with the name #var1 and not abc.txt
when i open this file with notepad it contains the correct data.
can you pls help me with this......

I would like to be able to put it into an array, but step one is anything at all, so I'm trying just a variable.Where do I put that line of code? I see that it goes at the Script part near the top, but how can I use that, I am pretty new to this language. I am not familiar with this line, where does it bind the value from the datagrid to the variable?

myDataGrid would be the id from the grid I am guessing?
and selected index would be the channel.description part?
and FIELD_NAME; is the variable name?
does this go into a funtion or is it placed at the top where the variables are declared? -
IO - Read two image files and put them into one file
Hi,
i have 3 files in all. The two image files and one text file. I need to place the image in the first image file, followed by text in the text file and then the image in the second image file, into one file.
Can anyone tell me how do i go about doing this ?
i tried using fileinputstream and fileoutputstream, which works fine if all the 3 files have text but when the first and the third file have image, the code doesn't give any error but the result file displays only the image from the first file and nothing else.
i am running short of time and need to do this really soon.

poonamOne approach would be to programmatcally create a single zip/jar file from the three input files. You can use the java.util.zip and java.util.jar packages for this purpose.
The other apprach would be to create a single image by drawing images and text strings on a BufferedImage object.
I think the first approach is preferable because you can easily extract the individual files from the zip/jar file -

The storage bays are physically different from those in a G5. G5's had two bays in ther upper reat of the chassis, the Mac Pros have four slots running front-to-rear two thirds of the way up the chassis.
But as The Hatter says, you can use the G5 drives but may need to "manage" the data transfers. -
Taking 2 separate data sets and putting them in 1 spreadsheet

I am sure this is a simple issue, but it does not seem to be coming together for me. I am currently attempting to take data from 2 different text files and put them together into 2 separate columns. The code I have attached manages to put them together into one long column, does anyone have any advice on writing out that second list to another column instead of just appending it to the first?

Thank you for your comment about the breakpoint, I removed it.
So I will attach everything I have, and maybe you can tell me where things can be tightened up.
I will summarize how things work. Michael.vi basically takes a measurement of frequency and amplitude and puts them in text files as so. Read_text.vi then opens up those text files and puts them together into one nice text file, which I will post in my next comment along with the latest version of Read_text, as I can only upload 3 things at a time. I would then like to plot this information in an X-Y plot on the screen, which I have been attempting to do by putting the points together in clusters to be plotted, but that has been miserably failing.

When I download firefox, using recommended setting, or my own, all the sub files/folders like plugins, modules, updater end up on the desktop as well as in the file location. And when I try to put them into the file location, they don't. And when I delete them, FireFox won't open. I tried deleting FireFox and reinstalling it multiple times, and a message pops up sometimes that says FireFox may not have installed correctly, so I follow the steps, but all the extra icons on my desktop don't go away. This has happened every time I have downloaded FireFox. The browser itself works, but I need to know how to get rid of these icons, but still be able to use FireFox. This is on a new computer, with Windows 7.

I need to get photos off a water damaged iPhone 3GS. It spent time underwater, saltwater. I let it dry for a week, turned it on, the apple symbol came on, then it died. I need to retrieve my photos off it. Can I take out the component that has the photos (is this the main board?) and put it into another of the same phone to retrieve the photos? Please help
You're talking about the logic board. The two most likely things to get toasted, with water damage, are the battery(it shorts out), & the logic board. The worst water damage would be salt water. I'm afraid your logic board is toast.

To see all the photos on the phone, including photos that have already been imported into iPhoto, deselect the "Hide Photos Already Imported" checkbox. If the camera contains photos that have already been imported into iPhoto, those photos are hidden by default.

and JTextArea.write(new FileWriter(fileName)) for writing.
The enters should be ok if the user press enter and adds a new line ("\n") to the text area component.
It will save the enter in the text file and load it correctly back to the text area.
If you want to add enter programmatically just add "\n" string to the text area component.
