Office communicator for ipad?

At work, I use "office communicator" (windows) and I really would like to use this function on ipad- it doesn't make sense to me each firm has totally different stuff which doesn't allow to synchronize. In any way, does anyone know how to use????

Search the App Store for any Communicator compatible apps.

  • URL schemes for Microsoft Office suite for ipad

    Hello,
I am trying to implement inter-app communication with an app I am creating.  I would like to be able to tap a button in my app, and have an xls document I have put on my web server open in the IOS Excel app.  To do this, I know I need to make use of URL schemes.  I can get the button to open the Excel app itself by using ms-excel://, but I cannot get it to open the server document within the app.
    I tried the following:
ms-excel://HTMLResources/file.xls (referencing it in the resources folder)
ms-excel://http://www.yoursite.com/files/file.xls (referencing it directly via url)
Both of these options simply open Excel, but not the document.
I even tried putting it in a web overlay using html snippets as referenced here: http://blogs.adobe.com/jlockman/2013/04/05/launching-external-apps-from-a-dps-folio/
    No luck.
Does anyone have any ideas, or happen to be familiar with the custom URL schemes for Office for ipad?
I know that the office suite for ipad is relatively new, so I am wondering if anyone out there is familiar with the custom URL schemes for Office for ipad. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Allison
One other note: I have tried this same thing with PDF Expert and it works: (the app makes use of the URL scheme PDFE)
    So,
    PDFEhttp://yoursite.com/files/file.pdf
will open file.pdf in PDF Expert.

You could try creating a new user account on the computer, logging out of the current and into the new one, and checking the behavior then. If that doesn't help, I think you'll have to settle for using NeoOffice or possibly GoogleDocs until you can reinstall Office.

  • Is it best to buy new ms office software for iPad or can I use my ms office already installed on my MacBook Pro ?

Can I use my current ms office on my MacBook Pro on my iPad or must I purchase new ms office software for iPad?

    Hi,
There's an app called Jump Desktop (Remote Desktop) in the app store. It's the fourth highest 'paid' app and the third highest 'grossing' app in the business category. (Go to the app store, then click on categories, then business. Then over on the right under top grossing and top paid you can click on Jump and read the reviews.)
You can work from your ipad with documents, spreadsheets, etc., make changes in them on your ipad and they will be reflected on your computer (mac or pc.) And you don't need a cellular ipad to make the connection. All you need to do is have your MBP on at home with a wireless network and be in an area where you have wireless access to connect your ipad (or iphone) with your MBP at home.
Jump Desktop (Remote Desktop) RDP/VNC will let you access your mac and all of your mac programs like MS Word, Excel, etc., as they are on your ipad. There's a free trial at jumpdesktop.com. If you like it you can then come back to the App store and buy it.  Please note that there are many free apps that will help but you might have to spend extra time adapting your work to an ios app as many (most?) do not translate from mac to ipad well.
Please read the reviews in the app store (I suggest you start with the most recent ones) and read reviews by pro tech reviewers.
    Hope this helps.

  • Office 365 for ipad possible?

how to install office 365 home premium on my ipad?

You don't, per se. You'll need to use Microsoft's Mobile app:
    https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/office-mobile-for-office-365/id541164041?mt=8
It has significant limitations, so read up on it so you know what you'll run into.

  • Office package for iPad

I need an office package for my recently acquired IPad.

I use Documents to Go and find that it works quite well. Others prefer Apple's Pages and Numbers.
There's no shortage of apps, things you need to watch out for is if they are cloud based, which can mean they don't work if you're not online. Also something to consider, most if not all apps are skinnied down from their original programs, so while they certainly have basic function, they won't have all the bells and whistles of the original programs. (Usually you can type and the such, just limited on fancy formatting)

  • Office 365 for iPad-When?

Anybody heard when/if Office 365 will be available for iPad?

"TOU" = Terms Of Use. What we were all required to agree to when we signed up for the Communities.
In any case, as Allan said, none of us will know anything more than you do. If you've asked Microsoft directly, you're likely to hear something before the rest of us do.

  • Office 2010 for ipad

I recently purchased Office2010 for Ipad.  this is in Russian a language I do not speak.  How do I get a credit for this purchase, as it is totally useless!!

There is no version of Office for the iPad in any language. You bought an electronic book about Office, not the program itself. You probably cannot get a refund, since the terms of sale for the iTunes Store state that all sales are final. You can contact the iTunes Store, explain the reason for your request, and ask, though:
    http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact.html
It's possible they'll make an exception for you.
    Good luck.
As Gary said, this was not the most appropriate forum in which to post your question. Regards.

  • Office Suite for iPad 2

    HI there!
I just bought an iPad 2 a month ago an I noticed I have been doing a lot of typing lately.
SO can I ask if there is any really good cheap (or free) Office suite for my iPad 2?
    THanks.

Documents to Go isn't free but it works quite well.
Quickoffice HD is another one I see suggested.

  • Office communicator on Nokia X6?

    Hi,
I could not able to find the Microsoft Office Communicator for my Nokia X6. Looks like it is available for E-series and other business models. Is there any way to find alternate way for office communicator like Office Talk for Android.
I want to communicator for my corporate instant messaging. Is there any other tool, can be used for corporate instant messaging. Really needed!!!! Plz help.
    Thanks.

To access internet on the X6 you can do the following:
    1. Connect to a wifi router. USB cable to pc only works the other way.
    2. Use mobile internet from you network. This could incur data charges unless your phone package includes data.

  • Invalid security certificate error when connecting from office for iPad

    Hi,
I have Alfresco Community running on my NAS including the SharePoint protocol support and can access it from any desktop Microsoft Office application but when I try to "Add a Place" in any of the Microsoft Office for iPad apps I get the following
error message: "Cannot Connect to Site - The site doesn't have a valid security certificate." followed by "Cannot connect to Server - The server may be unavailable. Check your internet connection and try again".
    I have the following configuration
    - Qnap NAS with QTS 4.1.3
    - JRE 8.6.0
    - Tomcat 7.0.50
    - Alfresco 5.0.c with Share and SPP installed
    - Tomcat, Alfresco and Share configured for SSL on 8443 using a self-signed certificate
    - SPP configured for SSL on 7070
    - iPad Air 2, iOS 8.2 and latest office apps
    - CA and server certificate installed on the desktop computers and the iPad
Share and SPP can be reached on the respective ports and I get the websites as expected. And as mentioned desktop MS office applications can access Alfresco via SPP. But I cannot get it to work with the iPad office apps.
Can anybody help with this, please? I know I am not running SharePoint but I assume the problem with the iPad office app is the same?
    Thanks
    Peter

    1. I can't say if it is sequential or not, I have never seen a message like that myself when doing add-on update checks - but I have seen other messages, like the update server not using a secure HTTPS address after that became a requirement for updates. <br />
Plus, I have never used anything from Conduit - ''the founder of that company has a shady past with different internet companies puling all dorts of "stuff", IMO. And all Conduit add-ons were removed and banned from the official add-ons website a few years ago because of their "antics" and major user uproar at the time - just recently have we seen a few return''.
    2. Right-click individual addons and use ''Visit Homepage''' to see if that feature is being used as intended and where it takes you. Or use '''Find Update''' and see if that triggers that message, to discover which extensions are fro Conduit.
    3. IMO, you are better off updating each extension one at a time with '''Find Update''', as I mentioned above.

  • Office for iPad and iOS 8 Document picker functionality

    Hi all,
we want to integrate iPad application with our Office for iPad but with no success yet. Can you please advise if Office for iPad is currently supporting iOS 8 Document picker functionality? If not, then when it will support the integration between
Office for iPad and iOS 8 document picker..?
    Thank you in advance.

    Hi,
We support Office for Windows in the current forum, since this question is about Office for Ipad, I suggest you post the question in Office for Ipad forum:

It's recommended to download and install
Configuration Analyzer Tool (OffCAT), which is developed by Microsoft Support teams. Once the tool is installed, you can run it at any time to scan for hundreds of known issues in Office

  • Can I get Macrosoft windows with excel and Outlook express.  I have the disk for office mac for my mac book.  Can I install that disk to an Ipad 2?

I have Office Mac for home and office.  Can I use the same installation disk on an Ipd2?

I suggest checking out the app: QuickOffice. It's $14.99 and gives you full compatability to MS Excel, Word & PowerPoint to read, edit and create files. Pair it with the free app "DropBox" to easily transfer files back and forth between your iPad and your desktop.

  • IWork on iPad & Office 2008 for Mac

    Hi everyone,
I am not sure if this is the right place to ask this question, but are the iWork apps on the iPad capable of exporting documents to the Mac in a format that is readable by Office 2008 for Mac (i.e. .doc, docx, etc) or is it only iWork 09 on the Mac that is capable of opening documents created by these apps ?
    Thanks,

Actually the responses here are not correct. Steve Jobs specifically said to Walt Mossberg that he could type a document in Pages on the iPad and then send it from the same device in Word format. The iWork apps on the iPad are going to be able to both read and export to their MS Office equivalents.
To hear Jobs state this in regard to Word, go to http://kara.allthingsd.com/20100128/boomtowns-apple-ipad-day-starring-walt-mossb erg-plus-a-steve-jobs-cameo/ and look for his comments at around the 3:25 mark in the video.
