Office communicator on Nokia X6?

Hi,
I could not able to find the Microsoft Office Communicator for my Nokia X6. Looks like it is available for E-series and other business models. Is there any way to find alternate way for office communicator like Office Talk for Android.
I want to communicator for my corporate instant messaging. Is there any other tool, can be used for corporate instant messaging. Really needed!!!! Plz help.
Thanks.

To access internet on the X6 you can do the following:
1. Connect to a wifi router. USB cable to pc only works the other way.
2. Use mobile internet from you network. This could incur data charges unless your phone package includes data.

  • Office communicator

    guys,
does anyone know if I can use another messanger instead of Office communicator.
The reason I am asking is I wasn't able to get it works. I installed it with no problems but there is only one field into it to put the server names. My credentials seem to be ok as It is signing in but it stucks on the initializing screen. By using those credentials, I am able to log in onany PC via the internet browser. I tried using the phone browser and still the same issue so it looks like the phone is missing any settings and can't connect to that link. I installed my company certificate on the phone as well - no luck.
For example, the communicator of windows mobile has two fields - internal and external servers and also there is an option to set it to connect via TSL but Nokia doesn't have such an option. On windows mobile is working fine.
    Thank you,
    Zhivko

  • Can I configure Microsoft Office Communicator on E...

    Hi Guys,
Is there a way to configure Microsoft Office Communicator on my E71 like the way it is possible to configure Official mails to be pushed to E71 using the mFe tool?
My company has published the office communicator on an url. Theoretically It work like Outlook web access.
Any suggestions on this will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Sujit

Sujit - Have you received any reply? I am also facing the same problem
Infact I am sorry to say but I just got my Nokia E71 and am terriably unhappy to learn that it's not able to syncronize my corporate emails. It just syncronizes the inbix and not the subfolders which make my brand new phone USELESS to me. I am not even able to install and access Microsoft Office Communicator.

  • Branch Office Communication

    Hi,
Supposingly we have many branch offices with good internet speed but no dedicated bandwidth between individual locations.
We need to enable VoIP calling using Internet, can we use any skype product to tie all standalone EPABX system for branch office communications.
Can we have SIP trunks on skype gateway from each location and enable interoffice calling.
    Please suggest

    Hello Rahul,
I see you are asking about connecting your offices together for calling and comminucations.
Well,  Connecting the offices together will require a Communication Server of some sort.  Manufacturers like Nortel, Avaya, Cisco, and many others have these type of devices available to accomplish the "link" between your offices, as long as the equipment is all compliant with the Communication Server.   I suggest you contact a local agent for these manufacturers and have them take a look at what you have. They will provide you with a quote to get you connected.
As for Skype, making and receiving calls is a snap for us.  We provide these services 24/7. We can get you connected in miinutes and have you making cheap calls all day long.  The cost just depends on where in the world you are calling.  Our "minutes" bundles are very cost effective to use.  And, all of your incoming calls are free. All you would need, would be a Skype Online Number, a Managed User for the Skype Clients that want to call you, and SIP Channels to connect to your PBX to talk on.
That's pretty much it.  I hope this helps you in your research to get your offices connected and to start using Skype.  I have provided  a few links for you to look at below.

  • Provisioning Office Communicator from OIM 11gR2

    Hi Experts,
I want to provision office communicator 2013. I have AD already provisioning, Could you tell what are the mandatory fields required to be populated.
There are certain fields like msRTCSIP-UserRoutingGroupId for which the values are not known.
    Please help!!
    thanks

You are probably better off getting this information from Microsoft.  Here is a starting point:  http://blog.insideocs.com/2010/05/03/ad-attributes-required-to-enable-a-user-for-ocs/
Also, from doing quick searches, i believe this is now Microsoft Lync 2013 and no longer Office Communicator.

  • Office Communicator 2007 "There was a problem verifying the certificate from the server" issue

    Hello,
Last Friday is when this error first started. This is effecting all users. I am new to this position and am unfamiliar with how the Communicator server is setup. I am unsure as to where to look and where to start. We are using Office Communicator 2007 R2
running on a VM with Server 2003 R2. This is the only application being used on this host. Any ideas on where to start looking?
    Thanks for the help

    Hi Jenebo,
Looks like you did not install the CA install your client PC.
Access you enterprise CA server, like
http://dc.server.com/certsrv, download the certificate chain and intall it.
If it still can not work, please check you use automatic configuration to login your ocs client and you can resolve the SRV record to correct srv hostname using Nslookup.
If you use manual configuration, please do not use IP address of of FE.
Please remember to click “Mark as Answer” on the post that helps you, and to click “Unmark as Answer” if a marked post does not actually answer your question. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread.
I issued a certificate off of the server running OC 2007; I do not have a dedicated CA server. How would I pull the crtificate off of that server and install it on my clients (server name is SFBlackberry)?
By the way, half of the clients worked after I renewed the CA on the server and the other half are the ones I am having problems with.
Thanks for your help...as you can tell I am new to OC and really appreciate your help.

  • Group Chat feature in Office Communications Server 2007 R2 does not work in Windows Server 2008 R2 domains

Hello to all, there are two confliting articles about this topic:
       1-
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/upgrade-domain-controllers-to-windows-server-2008-r2(v=ws.10).aspx#BKMK_Whatsnew : this one says that it does not work "The Group Chat feature in Office Communications Server 2007 R2 does not work in Windows
Server 2008 R2 domains". This article was updated in 2013.
       2-
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee692314(office.13).aspx: this other article says that it will function "Office Communications Server 2007 R2 Group Chat will function in a Windows Server 2008 R2 forest". This article was updated in
2010 and was refered by the first one.
What is the correct support position for Group Chat feature in Office Communications Server 2007 R2 and Windows Server 2008 R2 domains?
       Regards, EEOC.

    Hi,
I notice the following sentence in the link below “Office Communications Server 2007 R2, Group Chat will not function in a Windows Server 2008 R2 forest or when Group Chat member servers are joined to a Windows Server 2008 R2 domain.
We know of an issue with changes in Windows 2008 R2 that requires a Group Chat Client and Group Chat Admin Tools hotfix. The Group Chat Client and Group Chat Admin Tools hotfixes are currently scheduled for mid-April 2010.”
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/nexthop/archive/2010/11/06/supportability-for-office-communications-server-2007-r2-and-windows-server-2008-r2.aspx
So in my opinion, if you update to the latest version of Windows Server 2008 R2, OCS Server 2007 R2 and Group Chat Client, Group Chat Admin Tools to the latest version, it should work.
However, the best method for you is make a lab to test the problem firstly.

  • Does TouchPad work with: HP Virtual Rooms, HP VPN, and Office Communicator

I bought a new TouchPad and disappointed I can not get:  HP Virtual Rooms, VPN, or Office Communicator to work.  Any ideas?
Post relates to: HP TouchPad (WiFi)

I would suggest all HP employee chatter get aimed internally on some discussion boards.  Don't see the need out here for HP employees to post their own corporate initiative shortcomings on this consumer-facing website.  Call me crazy, but HP employees should have an internal mechanism to request their needs from their employer... or is it acceptable to air company issues on a public website?

  • Disable multiple office communicator accounts

We are using Microsoft office communicator server R2 in our organization. Is there any script of PowerShell commend to disable/enable multiple user account on the server. Every month some of the users are leaving and joining the company. So
when users are leaving the company, we need to disable the account manual on the server which always time consuming. I would like to automat this to disable through script or command
    Regards,
    Avi

I haven't tried this, but see if this helps it looks like it contains sufficient script code to do what you require, but may need a little tweaking:

  • Sending instant message (Office Communicator) via Abap

    Hello,
does anybody know how to send messages to the Office Communicator with Abap? The Office Communicator is an instant messager from Microsoft, I guess it uses standard SIP-technology. I consider this as useful just for sending any sorts of notifications.
Does anybody have a good idea?
    Rgds
    Thomas

    Hi,
Is a client proxy able to send the whole (3MB) message to PI
    yes it is capable.
If both solutions are feasible, what would be preferable?
yes both solutions are feasible ,but preferable is to send the whole message rather than one by one.
How do both options compare in regard to performance?
sending whole message is far more better than sending record by record.
    regards,
    pradeep A.
