Oft-asked question but can't find an answer that's worked thus far
I know this is a question that is oft-asked, from reading through the many posts - so I apologize for asking again! But after a couple of days of going through posts/tutorials/manuals, I'm still having trouble finding a way to fix my issue of getting a two hour movie onto a DVD5. I think my main issue is being overwhelmed by compression settings options and not knowing which to choose.
Would rather not do a dual-layer disk in iDVD since it's not compatible of older players. I don't need a fancy menu. Anyone have any links to a resource they've found helpful on the topic? I'm all about doing my own legwork, just hasn't turned up anything yet!

FCP

You can fit 2 hours of video in your DVD. You msut use any of the *DVD 120 min* presets in Compressor but be sure of selecting MPEG2 video and *AC3 (Dolby)* audio. If you uses uncompressed audio it will not fit.
Uses those files in DVDSP and author your basic DVD. Learn about * Creating Disc Image in DVDSP * and use Toast to burn your disc image.
Don't trust DVDSP size meter. Try building your project to check the real final size.

This must surely be a very easy question for someone to

I've managed to use Actionscript to create links to a website
and another scene within the same SWF, so I'm surprised that this
is proving so much more difficult.

Could the problem be with my Flash Player or the way I'm
vieiwng the SWF? It doesn't work in test mode but neither does it
work when I open the SWF directly from it's location.I'm not sure what you're doing with the
gotoAndStop("lessons.swf"); command - whether lessons.swf is
a scene or a frame label. If its a scene, then I think you need a
frame number as well. (actually I don't know - I don't use this
function)

Silly question but can not find an answer online ..
Hi have been watching the photoshop adobe tutorials which are fantastic however I have a frustrating problem which I can not seem to find a fix. Ive taken a screen shot to show what I mean ...
When viewing the video , I hit the expand screen button it jumps to full screen and unfortunately the play/pause/stop bar hides some of the tutorial video. The bar does disappear sometimes but if I pause the video or move the mouse it appears again obscuring the information .
I can not resize the video by dragging like one normally would I have looked at safari preferences its an iMac and also tried the command minus but this does not work either so the current options are either a very small screen which is hard to read or a full screen with bottom part obscured .
Apologies in advance if there is a obvious answer which I suspect there is but Ive spent ages trying to find the solution .
Thanks in advanceMaximize your browser window and use theater mode (third icon from right) to make the clip as wide, without actually making it fullscreen. There's also some shortcut keys explained in the YouTube help, but they are not available for every player type (being that some require Flash and don't work with the HTML5 players). Do some digging via Google and you're sure to find it. You can also try to copy&paste the video URL and then append the various player options to view it without a control bar. that's also explained in the YT help.

There have been an number of references in these forums and elsewhere to using workflows to achieve various desired results from ActiveSync. However active sync. configurations only provide hooks for a pre and post workflows. So for a per account workflow hook I need to call this workflow from the Active Sync Form.
How does one call/invoke a workflow from a standard form.Jerry

-motion sickness (i know how to fix that, i already did)
-buggy
-glitching out during games
-apps shut down on me while i use them
-battery life (apple says) lasts for 48 hours. for me it lasts 2 hours
-no way to downgrade
-terrible background choices (kinda lame, but still)
-apps are neon (ick)
-terrible design layouts
-safari ***** (as usual) with its search bar functioning as web address search as well
-mail badge says i hate not read mail when i have
-passcode can be surpassed
-game center push notifications will not go away
-will not sync with my mac

I used to be able on Mozilla to listen on-line to all of the BBC radio stations via their website but in about February of this year it has just stopped .....I click on their listen again facility the way I used to but nothing happens it is really frustratingI have asked and looked on-line in vain to find the answer to this question ..
I can access them via Internet Explorer and Google but Mozilla is the browser I use and I want to be able to listen to them via that

Yes, my PowerBook G4 is still trucking along. It is running OSX 10.4.11, but I just bought a new iMac that is running Mountain Lion. I just tried to use Migration Assistant. It told me to update Migration Assistant on the G4, but I can't find an update for anything earlier than 10.5. Is there a way to get my files transfered, or am I going to need to update the OS on my computer I was getting ready to retire?

Searching but can't find an answer to my question
I am relatively new to the world of Mac and I think I am adjusting well but I have been trying to get my printer to connect wirelessly through an airport express since August with no luck. The printer works fine if connected directly to my macbook but when I try to choose the printer through bonjour I get an error 9672 message. I see the printer in the bonjour window but it gets the error when trying to add the printer. Can anyone help???????????

Easy question but I cannot find the answer, HELP!
This particular FLA files is a flash site that has about ten
different pop-ups for several links (more testimonials, more
services, more information, etc.). I've tried for the past ten days
(about 3 hours per day) to find the exact location of the popups to
go ahead and modify the text in them to suit what I need them to
say but I have not been able to find them. The only pop-up that I
have found is located on the left side of the work space, I tried
toggling to practically every single option and frame, but whatever
I modify changes every other pop-up and I need to work on the
pop-ups individually. Anyone who can put me out of this misery,
would be rewarded with not having to see my question on this forum
again. I can email the FLA file, (about 400 kb) to anyone with a
heart to help or is there a way to upload it here? Thank
you!wow, this things a mess LOL!!!! well I found that the text is
actually IN the fields on the Stage, or several levels deep in the
many many movieclips and layers used to construct this. NONE of the
'dynamic' textFields have instance names, big no no. there's no way
that you can target them (well you could but ...) to assign text to
them ... so the only thing to do is go to each field and enter your
own text (which defeats the purpose of making them dynamic fields),
you'll find that in most cases, the color of the text in the field
has been set to an 'alpha' value of 0, which is why you cant see
it. although I haven't gone through the whole doc, i see no code
anywhere that is assigning any text( not to mention that you can't
because the field are not named). If you bought this as a template,
there should be documentation that came with it, instructing you on
the methods to assign text to the various categories. if not ...
you got taken, although it looks nice, it will be an incredible
pain to go through and edit it to be what you want it to be, due to
the nature of it's construction, and the fact that there seems to
be absolutely no user interface what-so-ever. I would contact the
company that made the product. And I could be missing something
too, more that possible, lol!!

There are few steps that I could suggest that might be resolve the conflict for you, Please follow the below mentioned steps and do let us know if this worked or not.
1) I can see that Time Machine is active in the background. Can you please open the Preferences for Time machine and disable TIme machine and try again.
2) If the step 1 doesn't work, please try a different network and check again.
3) If none of the options above works, please navigate to Utilities> Adobe Application manager and make sure that we have full READ & WRITE permission on this folder and Utilities> Adobe Creative Cloud folder.
Also, navigate to /LIBRARY/APPLICATION SUPPORT/ADOBE and give the READ&WRITE permission to the all the user accounts.
4) Post this, try again.

What is a successful solution to fix my iPod Touch 2G?I do NOT have a warranty on it. It fell in water 2 days ago and it has been in a bag of rice since, but it won't work. It does show a water damaged screen, nothing else and no sound. I don't even know if it's on or off. Please help?
You should continue to dry it in rice for a week and change the rice daily.
All you can do is dry the iPod. Turning on the iPod before it is dry can can cause permanent damage. -
