Often I get the following message when visiting website. It seems to happen randomly and if I try enough times I eventaully get through to the site. The error message is: Firefox can't find the file at jar:file:///C:/Program Files/Mozilla Firefox/chrome/e

When this occurs the browser tends to hang for a few seconds and no other tabs can be selected. I have tried uninstalling firefox and reinstalling. I have the latest version of firefox (3.6.3)

Do you have the FastStart extension?

I create HTML5 help projects from a package called MadCap Flare. It uses what they call an HTML5 'skin' that sets the style/layout of the page and also includes 'Navigate previous' and 'Navigate next' buttons. Trouble getting page so reinstalled, get this message-Firefox can't find the file at place:sort=8&maxResults=10. How can I reinstall?

I was trying to customize my page but then Firefox became completely unavailable. It only gives this message, along with 'trouble finding page': Firefox can't find the file at place:sort=8&maxResults=10. I tried rebooting and then reinstalling Firefox but the same message recurs. I can only get to the web now by using Internet Explorer which I don't like. But I may have to switch to it anyway.

That is a place query (smart bookmark) for Recently Visited Location and not a normal bookmark.

I have to click the link several time before it will load and sometimes when they do load it does not show the page right. It is like the HTML is messed up or something. I have tried everything I can think of. I started in safe mode, still did it., I removed add-ons, still did it., I reset Firefox and still did it., I completely uninstalled Firefox and re-installed Firefox and it still does it. I have tried Malware Bytes Anti-Malware scans and Avast boot-time scans and found no malware or viruses. I have found that those websites open the first time with no problems on my IE9 and they used to do so in Firefox 26.0. I'm at my wit's end. The website links are in my bookmarks and are used all the time so they are trusted and my avast is set to allow them. They range from news websites to gun websites and everything I have read says that Mozilla does not filter those unless something has changed recently.
