OHW Top-Level entry in tree-based TOC navigator

Hi Team,
Is it possible to specify the text string in the "Top Level" location? We would prefer to have our product name rather than the words "Top Level".
We are combining multiple helpsets through a master helpset file. The <title> string from each subhelpset establishes the second-level TOC entries. Our html <title>s establish the rest of the TOC entries.
We are using:
<parameters>
<combineBooks>false</combineBooks>
<useLabelInfo>true</useLabelInfo>
</parameters>

Currently, there is no mechanism to change the text for the "Top Level" node.
One thing we might do for the future would allow users to specify their own resource bundles for OHW UI, or provide some means for untranslated text to be displayed for this.

  • Duplicate top level entries in Data Control Palette

    Hi
I'm not sure when this happened, but I have just discovered that my local facade is now appearing twice in the Data Control Palette.
Anyone know why this should be?
I have made a stab in the dark and checked the DataControls.dcx and similar files in the model project, there only appear to be one reference there.
    Tom

When you create DataControl from SessionBean parser
goes through that Bean and adds in interface all the
methods that have different signatures. Only if you
use refactoring from the pallete when renaming the
method signature from session bean method in the
interface will be refactored too. That's all. I don't
think it is a bug, but I agree that it could be
    solved in better way.
Regards. Are you saying that if you don't use refactoring to alter a methods name or arguments then when the Create Data Controls is run it simply looks for new method signatures, ie the name and argument as one, and adds those?
If this is the case, then surely it should remove ones that no longer exist, ie the old one, thus there would still only be one definition. At the end of the day, manually altering a methods name or argument list is surely no different to using refactoring.
As has been pointed out if you chose to alter the name/arguments manually unless the interface and class method names/arguments match compilation would fail anyway.

  • Connect by - find the top level by pasing in any other level

I have a connect by loop.
    select  parent,
    child
    from parentchild
    start with parent = :passed_in_parameter
connect by nocycle prior  child = parentThis works fine but i have an addiitional requirement to find the top level of this tree. By passing in any other level.
    i.e.
if i have data as follows:
    parent child
    1 2
    2 3
    3 4
    4
    hierachy
    1
    2
    3
    4
Then I need my query to always give me the value 1 (top level) even if i pass in 1, 2, 3 or 4.
    Hope this makes sense
    Thanks

I thought the best way to do this is by first establishing the top level of the tree (hence my original question) then use another query passing the top level in, to ensure the new entry they want to put in does not already exist.
Is this the best way of doing what i reauire or can people think of a better solution? If there is a loop, then it isn't a tree, and there won't be a top. That's exactly what a loop means: every member of the loop is the ancestor (and descendant) of every member.
Sorry, I don't know enough (yet) about your application to answer your question.
Whenever you have a question, post a little sample data, and the results you want from that data.
In the case of a DML question (like this one: how to prevent DML that causes a loop) post some INSERT statements that show the table without any problems.
For the results, post a series of DML statements (INSERT, UPDATE and or DELETE) to be executed in order, and say whether you want each one to fail or not, and why.
Make sure your sample data resembles your real data. For example, if your real table allows children to have more than one parent, make sure your sample data has an example of that.
There's no need to post a lot of data. If your real trees can go to 50 levels deep, you can post a tree that only goes 3 or 4 levels, and just explain that they can actually go deeper.

  • How to start Top-Level Navigation on Level two?

    Hi,
does anyone known a trick how i can start the top-level navigation at Level two?
I make an own frameworkpage and try to set it in the iview properties, but there is not an property for this. it is only for the detailed-navigation iView there.
    For what:
I need this, because i would open an pop-up with an other portal window. I link to the popup with navigation-target=... In this pop-up should only be the content of one role. This folder i have set to "invisible in the navigation area". So the User always see him in a popup. when i start at the default Top-navigation level 1, the user see all the other navigation folders.
    Best regards,
    Patrick

    Hi Patrick,
up to SPS13, this needs some hands on on different parts of the TLN. What I've done this spring was showing all top-level nav targets within a select box in the masthead and then, after having selected one of these entries, the TLN shows just the content of this top level entry. So this is more or less the same. As said, some work to do.
As of SPS14, with the new navigation taglib, I expect this to be much less work; anyhow, I didn't convert the results into SPS14, so I cannot say if this is really as easy as I expect.
    Hope it helps

  • Breadcrumbs setting for top level ("home") is ignored in HTML Help

    Hi all,
I think this is a bug..?
When I change the top level entry ("home" by default) to something different in the SSL, then this is ignored in the HTML Help output. The top level is still named "Home", despite my change. If I apply breadcrumbs via the master page and change it there, then all is fine - but in this project we cannot use master pages.
Also I found that custom colors do not display in the format options for breadcrumbs in the SSL. I can only select the text color from a fixed list of standard colors, my custom colors are not available.

    Hi Robert
Hmmm, I just tested by creating a Master Page with no CSS assigned. I then associated it with all my topics and the CSS was left alone.
Your call on whether you wish to pursue or not. But it's pretty straightforward to associate a single Master Page with all your topics. You just select them all in the Topic List pod, right-click and look at properties, then from the General tab you choose the desired Master Page.
    Cheers... Rick

  • Filtering top level tabs based on user attributes

    Hello everyone ~
I've been creating role and workset filters based on the Webinar demonstration given by Marion Schlotte (<a href="https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/17968de1-0a01-0010-1f9f-c090fbc7001a">Filtering Role and Workset Content for Developers</a>) and things have been going well.  I've been assigning the filter to a role (an entry-point role) and then filtering what worksets the user sees at the second level navigation.
Now what I'm trying to do is filter what top-level tabs the user sees using this filter.  So I assigned the worksets in the role as entry points, instead of the role itself being an entry point.  However, the filter doesn't work now.  I don't see any of the worksets in the top level navigation at all.  I also don't see any errors in the logs.  All of the messages I have logged during the filtering process are logging as normal, and I don't see any errors being thrown.  But still the top-level tabs for my worksets don't appear.
Has anyone been testing with this functionality?  Why would setting the worksets as entry points cause the filter to no longer work?  Has anyone tried this, or have any ideas?
    Thanks for your help,
    Fallon

    Hi Will,
I'm thinking on using this filtering approach to solve another problem... But for that, I need this filtering to work based on URL entered, not on the logged in user.
I was thinking about implementing the method
    getObjectInstance(obj, name, nameCtx, environment)
    from
    FilterDemoCountryFactory
to perform the filter based on URL (from context or environment). Do you know if this information (URL) is available in Context ou in Environment (hashtable)??
    Thanks in advance.
    Best regards,
    Raphael

  • Possible to Have ToC Default to Show Only Top Level (collapse sublevels)?

    Howdy!
I'll bet I'm not the only one wishing for this.  Let's say you're using Captivate 4's Table of Contents feature with a longish movie of Cp slides, which is chunked into bite-size sections content-wise.  In the ToC, though, you can't mimic that same organization scheme; at least, the learner would first need to collapse all the ToC folders you've created so they see only the top-level listing.
This can be a critical issue:  keeping the at-first-glance list in the ToC brief enough to be inviting to learners, yet allowing learners to drive which details are currently visible.
A movie's topical hierarchy could be along these lines, for example ...
    Section 1 - National Brands
    What are National Brands?
Why Are They Important to Our Business?
    Working with Nat. Brands
    Practice Your Knowledge
    Section 2 - International Brands
    What are International Brands?
Why Are They Important to Our Business?
    Working with Intl. Brands
    Practice Your Knowledge
You'd like to organize the ToC to show only the section titles (1st level) and to suppress the 2nd-level detail (slide titles) until the learner chooses to expand the folder to see those details.
I've tried things like grouping the slides into sections in the Storyboard view and organizing the slides into sections strictly within the ToC -- both to no avail.
Has anyone solved for this need yet?
I'm all ears, and you'd be doing learners of the world a huge favor.
    Thanks!

    Hi, Jim.
Thanks for being 'on the case' and looking into this so quickly.  Your
findings are encouraging, although my user base is generally working with
    IE 6 and FP8 or 9.
Since the only thing I may influence is getting  IT to help push out FP10,
    I'm hoping it's more of a player- than a browser-version issue.
I'll test things out by Monday and let you know the results.  Wish me luck!

    Dave,
I just tested this on my local web server and it worked fine.  I created a
blank project with 8 slides.  Created my TOC with grouping... 2 slides in
each group.  I turned on self paced learning.  I tried with and without the
widget and it picked up where I left off in either case.  See

I published using FP10 and IE8 to view.  Notice any difference between
    your project and this one?

  • Show/Hide tabs in top level navigation of a role based on assigned services

    Hi,
I have an interesting requirement. I have created an overview page in abap web dynpro which has links to various services.
Based on the r3 roles assigned to the user, we need to show/hide the services in the overview page and top level navigation.
I can show/hide the views in the overview page but the links on top level navigation are created in the portal frontend by creating worksets, iviews, etc.
Is there a way I can show or hide these worksets which are defined in the role on top level navigation?
In a nutshell, can i update the visible/invisible property of a java workset from a call in abap web dynpro?
    Regards,
    Sumeet

Please refer the framework page [http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/02/c7918e9fca44519701c47028a053fd/content.htm|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/02/c7918e9fca44519701c47028a053fd/content.htm]
What i meant was that you can do a custom TLN like this
    [http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce711core/helpdata/en/42/fd515a2aa95277e10000000a1553f7/content.htm|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce711core/helpdata/en/42/fd515a2aa95277e10000000a1553f7/content.htm]
Seems to me java/jsp is more appropriate than doing it via WDA.
ANother way that you might look into this is Application integrator which again java programming effort needed.

  • N level tree based on PL/SQL procedure

    Hi everyone,
I want to display a tree of n levels of employees (n is not known in advance) :
    Root(Boss)
    | Employee1
    | Employee11
    ......... | Employee1NN...
    | Employee12
    | EmployeeN
    .....| EmployeeNN..
The problem is that I don't have access to tables containing the employees. For each employee I get the "sub-employees" list by calling a PL/SQL stored procedure getEmployees(masterEmployeeName).
So is there a way in ApEx to create a n level and sublevel tree, each level corresponding to a PL/SQL procedure ?
    Best regards,
    Othman.

    Hi Othman,
I haven't tried this for a while, the last time I had to do anything like this was to construct a folder structure starting from a root folder.
Assuming that you can retrieve ID's and employee names in your function, the principle would be something like:
1 - Create two collections - one for the Tree (to hold ID, Name and Parent ID) and one to hold a list of Employee IDs
2 - Into the Tree collection, create a new member and insert 0, Root, null (Where 0 is the ID for the top boss and Root is whatever name you need to give this), into c001, c002 and c003
3 - Into the Employee collection, create a new member and insert 0 into column c001
4 - Now create a loop to run while the Employee collection contains at least one member
    5 - In the loop:
5 A) Get the value from c001 in the first member in the collection (this will be the "Parent ID")
5 B) run your function to retrieve a list of employees relating to that Parent ID, if any
5 C) Loop through the list and insert a member into the Tree collection: ID, Name, Parent ID and insert the employee's ID into the Employee collection
5 D) Delete the first member from the Employee collection and resequence the collection (to give you a new member number 1)
6 - Eventually, you will have no members left in the Employee Collection - your loop should terminate
7 - You should now have a complete structure in the Tree collection which can be used on the page

  • Nonsensical top level PDF bookmark in Crystal report exported from InfoView

Thank you for any help or suggestions!
I am using Crystal Reports 2008, the CMC repository, and InfoView.  I am producing PDF reports, many with bookmarks based on the group tree.
I have found that when I run my report off my workstation, all is fine, but when I run the same report out of InfoView, the top level bookmark is a string of nonsensical numbers and characters.
Is there a way for me to ensure that this top level bookmark is something readable, perhaps the name of the report?
    Thank you for your help!

    Hi,
I ran into this problem just recently myself.  The report would export just fine out of the designer but when I would try to export it from CMC it would give me a root bookmark named along the lines of "~crw{33FB2DCD-838A-(more gibberish)....}.rpt"
I eventually figured out how to solve it.  I am using Crystal XI R2, not 2008, but I suspect you may be able to resolve the issue using the same steps.  I believe that the gibberish name that you are seeing is the actual technical name of the report as it is stored on the Enterprise server.  In order to get it to display a nice formatted name of your choosing, open up your report in the report designer.  Now go to the File menu and select Summary Info.  In the Title section, provide the name of the report that you would like to see at the root of the bookmark.  You are esentially setting up an alias for it.  Now when you export, you should see the new name that you typed in as the main part of the bookmark.
    Hope this works for you!

  • Adding commentary in ASO Cube and aggregating it to TOP Level

    Hi Gurus,
I have one peculiar problem. We are adding commentary in BSO Planning cube now i have couple of problem related to it.
    a) These commentary needs to be pushed in ASO cube (Reporting) which need are entered in Lower Level.
    b) At top level these commentaried need to be Aggregated or rather Concatenated.
    eg.
ProfitCentre has two child P1 and P2 and user enter commantary in BSO for P1 and P2 as "Market Risk Deviation" and "Standard Output"
then in the HSPgetval Smartview report the conent of report will look like:
Profit Centre          Market Risk Deviation + Standard Output
    P1                        Market Risk Deviation
    P2                        Standard Output.
Any thoughts/ Suggestions/ Input/ Ways to achieve so
    Thanks
    Anubhav

    Apart from what Glenn suggested
Not out of box, you are looking at a JAVA API + SQL based solution here
    Here are my thoughts
Either use a Select query and get the Text values and IDs from the tables HSP_CELL_TEXT (or HSP_TEXT_CELL) table
Create a Java API, which can import a TextList in ASO cube, ID is going to be what you get from the table
Load the data to ASO from Planning
Now for the aggregation/concatenation part, you'll have to Add those as again Smart List, This can be done by looking at HSP_CELL_TEXT (or HSP_TEXT_CELL) table, there is an ID associated with each text, get the id associated
So for example Market Risk Deviation is 1 and Standard Output Deivation is 2, then you should add Market Risk Deviation + Standard Output as 3, however you'll have to make sure that there is no entry from Planning for 3
    It is complicated

  • OBIEE BI Answers: Wrong Aggregation Measures on top level of hierarchy

    Hi to all,
I have following problem. I hope to be clear in my English because it's a bit complicated to explain.
    I have following fact table:
    Drug Id Ordered Quantity
    1 9
    2 4
    1 3
    2 2
    and following Drug Table:
Drug Brand Id Brand Description Drug Active Ingredient Id Drug Active Ingredient Description
    1 Aulin 1 Nimesulide
    2 Asprina 2 Acetilsalicilico
In AWM i've defined a Drug Dimension based on following hierarchy: Drug Active Ingredient (parent) - Drug Brand Description (leaf) mapped as:
Drug Active Ingredient = Drug Active Ingredient Id of my Drug Table (LONG DESCRIPTION Attribute=Drug Active Ingredient Description)
Drug Brand Description = Drug Brand Id of my Drug Table (LONG DESCRIPTION Attribute = Drug Brand Description)
Indeed in my cube I've mapped leaf level Drug Brand Description = Drug Id of my fact table. In AWM Drug Dimension is mapped as Sum Aggregation Operator
If I select on Answers Drug Active Ingredient (parent of my hierarchy) and Ordered Quantity I see following result
Drug Active Ingredient Description Ordered Quantity
    Acetilsalicilico 24
    Nimesulide 12
    indeed of correct values
Drug Active Ingredient Description Ordered Quantity
    Acetilsalicilico 12
    Nimesulide 6
EXACTLY the double!!!!!!! But if I drill down Drug Active Ingredient Description Acetilsalicilico I see correctly:
Drug Active Ingredient Description Drug Brand Description Ordered Quantity
    Acetilsalicilico
    - Aspirina 12
    Total 12
Wrong Aggregation is only on top level of hierarchy. Aggregation on lower level of hierarchy is correct. Maybe Answers sum also Total Row????? Why?????
I'm frustrated. I beg your help, please!!!!!!!!

  • How to Delete Top Level Folder

I have a number of files in a hierarchy of folders and I wish to delete the top level folder but leave in place all the sub folders and files contained therein. There are only folders (no files) under the top level folder. Specifically, I do not want to just select and drag and drop all the subfolders.
Any help on how to do this appreciated.

First, to clarify the term - there are traditional VS projects (C# project, VB project, etc.) and with Team Foundation there are now Team Projects. Given the question, I take it you mean team projects (as created with the "New Team Project" option and going through the Project Creation Wizard).
When you create a team project called "foo", the folder for that project (assuming you had it create a folder during the Project Creation Wizard, which is the default) will be called $/foo. Based on your question, I take it you're referring to a folder called "bar" that would be at server path $/foo/bar since it's part of the "foo" team project.
The easiest way to rename or delete such a folder would be to bring up the Source Control Explorer (View | Other Windows | Source Control Explorer) and navigate to that folder. You'll want to make sure that you have the folder in your local workspace (this is a limitation when have in V1) so you may want to right-click on "bar" and do a "get latest version" first. If you don't already have it mapped, you'll be prompt to pick a local path to map it to.
When you right-click on the folder "bar" (once you have it in your workspace), among the entries in the context menu will be Delete, Rename (for the "rename to oranges" case), and Move (for "move it to another folder"). Note that each of these pends the operation on the workspace, and you'll need to check in before the change is committed to source control.

  • Unable to set a top-level property object

    Hey guys
I've made a little sequence to fetch data from a XML file. In that XML file, there is some informations (entries) (IP addresses, port numbers, etc) about 4 different types of devices(sections are the devices names). The first section of the XML tells me the NAMES of the devices I have to configure. The type of each device is located in the entries of each device. Each device has its own information and I can have more than one device of a type. In teststand, I've created custom data types (containers with empty fields) for each type of device I need.
I want to dynamically create the devices that the XML file tells me to configure as fileglobal variables and populate them with their own config informations (entries of the XML file). I'm creating new fileglobal of the type I want using PropertyObject step and I'm creating an alias of that fileglobal that I'm passing in parameter to a subsequence who's getting infos from XML. Here, everything is OK.
The problem occurs when I want to configure 2 or more objects of the same type. At the SetProperty step (where i'm creating the fileglobal variable) teststand gives me the error:
"Unable to set a top-level property object to another object. Error accessing item 'Parameters.DeviceToInitStruct'."
Is there any ways to avoid that problem and creating to variable of the same type ?
    thanks

    Hi
I finally got rid of that problem.
Instead of using a PropertyObject.Clone step, I used a statement who's just copy the "MasterObject" into a "CloneObject" and i'm working with that copy. So the sequence can now create devices of the same type without any conflict with the first device.
i'll post here a short example to show how i did... maybe it'll be useful for someone...
    regards
