  • OIM 11g R1 Unable to read third part jars

    Hi All,
Please help me as i'm having tough time in reading(instantiating classes from third party jar) the third party jars withing my code. I have created an adapter, which will send message to a remote JMS queue and for which i need to establish connection with the JMS queue (i use com.ibm.mqjms.jar ). I have placed this com.ibm.mqjms.jar Jar in /server/ThirdParty folder and the classes were not picked up. I have placed my adapter jars in the Java tasks folder and it reads perfectly.
but,t eh problem is in reading this ThirdPart Jars. I have tried by placing the jar in ThirdParty folder and it did not work. then, i removed the jar from Third party folder and uploaded the jar using UploadJars utility as ThirdParty jar. It still have issue reading this.
I have performed PurgeCache.sh ALL and also restarted the managed server many times.
Please help as i'm clueless and my environment is OIM 11g R1 in Linux OS.
    Thanks,
    Srini

can you rejar this .jar file and then import it in MDS. see if the NoClassDefFoundError still occurs

    Thanks for your quick response.
We have tried the option, of creating a new GTC, but that too didn't helped in solving the issue.
When we schedule the job, it moves to RUNNING state for a long duration and the below error is encountered. Can you pls provide some suggestion on the below error.
    Regards,
    Karan

  • OIM 11g: xelsysadm has to approve twice

I have configured OIM so that an end user can create a Self Assign Role request. The approval first goes to the user's manager, then xelsysadm.
When I click Approve Task as xelsysadm, it comes back with a confirmation that the task was approved. However, when I refresh the page, I can see the task is still there. The 2nd time I approve it, it actually works and the user gets the role s/he requested.
This is all OOB configuration, nothing customized. The only thing I added was a Template Level Approval Process: default/BeneficiarymanagerApproval!1.0
    Am I missing something?

    sorry, wrong forum.

    Jan,
when the manager is trying to approve the leaves of his subordinate, he click on the single line approval request entry, and the RFC gets triggered.  We usually think that the RFC will only run the particular leave request record and open the same for us.  But internally the RFC reads all the pending leave request with the manager and then only displays the clicked record.  When the RFC is triggered, if it finds some problem with some other record then it will fail and give the message as system faliure.
Even we had faced the same problem,  In our case this employee had a leave request pending with him which belonged to some deleted employee code. As a result there was a system failure message.  We deleted the workflow item from the list and the RFC was successfull.
This we check in T Code PTARQ, if u have full rights to this transaction then you can deleted the Workflow item from this list which is creating the problem.
but anywasy you can always check PTARQ for any Leave request related problems
    Thanks n regards

For some reason all invoices entered on Invoice workbench goes into approval mode "Not required" after we check the "initate approval" checkbox on the Action button.
This is happening irrespective of any supplier, amount we use.
We have no customizations in AME and APINVAPR workflow.
The system options approval tab has check box "Use Workflow for Invoice Approva" CHECKED.
The checkbox "Force Invoice Approval" is UNCHECKED.
We have run out of options and the problem is still persistent.
Please advise. How can we have invoices go through approval and not have it "Not Required" all the time.
    Thanks,
    Darsh

    Hi Darsh,
can you review the AME configuration on the approval limits and the people assigned in the approval groups.
Also, is this is the first time you are using this feature ? If not, was it working fine before ....?
Also please check the below reference:
11i: APXINWKB - Invoice Approval Status Is Incorrectly Changed To Not Required when Approval is Initiated if Approval Group Contains FND Users [ID 331214.1]
    Regards,
    Ivruksha

    Any pointers?

Which version of OIM 11G you are using?
If request is in failed status after operational label approved ->
Check if any post operation are attached like (Provisioning process or Event handlers), If you will get any
Exception, then whole process along with request will rollback
If it happens in occasionally ->
It could be bug with OIM 11.1.1.5, because I am facing same issue but if I shutdown one managed server
(Cluster mode) and 2nd is in running mode, then my request is get approved always.

While creating a request to provision iPlanet User one of the errors I was getting:
oracle.iam.request.exception.RequestServiceException: IAM-2050061:Type mismatch for the attribute Server. The type passed is String, but the corresponding type in the data set is Long.:Server:String:Long
So I replaced the value of the attribute Server to the IT Resource.Key which is 5. After making the changes, it goes through approvals with no problems, but when I approve all the work items, it errors out with an error:

  • OIM 11g Approval Workflow Notification Configuration

    Dear All,
Is there any documentation guide or tutorial or step by step guide about how to configure approval workflow notification in oim 11g?
In my case, a request must be approve by 3 (three) level of approver, "Requester Manager" --> "Application Business Owner" --> "Application Administrator". On each level, a notification need to be sent to the approver contains all information about the requester and the resource that requested.
How can i configure the notification since approval processes are in SOA composite and the development of the workflow is using JDeveloper?
    Many Thanks for your help.

    Hi
Please go through the link, You can configure notification any time based on you requirement. You have to get emails to whom you want to sent, just set this mail in a variable. Use this variable as to ,..
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/dev.1111/e10224/bp_notif.htm#BABEDFCC

  • OIM 11g - Email Notification with direct link to Approval Task Details

    Hi,
We wanted to send email notifications to approver with direct link to the approval task details screen from which the user can either approve or reject the request. In OIM 11g OOTB Notification templates such as Request Creation contains the direct link to Request Detail screen which is something like
    http://localhost:14000/oim/faces/pages/Self.jspx?OP_TYPE=LOOKUP;E_TYPE=MY_REQUEST&T_ID=65
Wondering if there is something similar for Approval Task Details screen as well.
Any kind of help or suggestion is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Deepa

If at all you cannot get the direct link for approve/reject then try the actionable email from SOA. Once you have that configured the emails gets approver/reject links so that approvers can directly approve/reject the task from email. If that works for you then you can look at the format of those links in the email and deduce what you need the url as.

  • Not able to add groups to the user ODSEE via OIM 11g R2

    Hi,
I have created some groups in ODSEE and ran the recon job to sync these groups in OIM 11g R2.
Groups are populated in OIM 11g R2 and while raising the request for ODSEE Application Instance I can see these groups.
Now following are the issues I am facing :
    1. ODSEE groups are not getting displayed in Catalog ( I have ran the Entittlement-List job also)
    2. When I request for a group while creating the request, the group is not getting assigned to the user in ODSEE, wherein user is getting created in ODSEE successfully.
    Please help.
    Thanks

Please let me know what could be the reason of not adding the groups to the user in ODSEE.
I was able to add the groups successfully to user by assigning the groups while raising the request in OIM 11g R1.
But the same is not working in OIM 11g R2, if I check the OIM logs it is calling the function ADDUSERTOGROUP but the groups are not getting assigned to user.
    Thanks

I don't think OIM 11g supports DSML profile and may be that's the reason you are getting NPE.
    See: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E14571_01/doc.1111/e14309/spmlapi.htm#CHDCBJAI
    It states:
"SPML has two profiles: the XSD profile and the DSML profile. This release of Oracle Identity Manager makes use of the XSD profile."

    Hi user12841694,
Thanks for the suggestion. But, the data (field) that can be modified by the approver is very limited. We cannot attach multi-valued attribute there (like Child Form).
