OIM-BI Reporting

Hi,
I have a requirement where a specific users (auditor) needs to generate the reports from OIM and also from BI Publisher. In OIM I have created an user group assigned reports as menu item to it and also assigned reports to that group, but I am still not able to generate report from the members of that group.
I have also tried assigning "User Groups.Reports, Report Parameter, Report Definition" permissions to that group and it does not works.
AM I missing some permission that should be given to the group so that members of that group can generate reports.
In BI publisher I have created same user but not able to generate the report from both OIM and BI. If I create the OIM admin user in BI then reports are getting generated from admin user.
Thanks in advance.

Hi ,
In our case we need to implement sso for BI publisher using integrated windows authentication with OAM. Can anybody tell us the steps that we should follow to accomplish this.
Thanks in Advance

What is table name in oim 11g that subtitute RCD & RCM table?
    Thanks,
    Sapril.

    Hi
Refer the following link for enabling the reports:
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E14571_01/doc.1111/e14308/system_props.htm#OMADM884
    Searhc for 'Enable exception reports'
    Sample query:
Note taht OIM OOTB reports already contains a report for Orphaned account. You can check that too.
SELECT * FROM recon_exceptions HERE usr_key IS NULL
you should modify this query and join tables to add more fields.

Did you create "OIM JDBC" data source to run the standard reports. Go to BI Publisher administration and create new JDBC data source called "OIM JDBC" and then try to run the reports.

  • OIM Custom reports - User Resource Access History

    HI,
I am working on OIM custom reports . I was trying to get custom user resource access history( i.e., need to include information like field changed, its old value , its new value etc are the extra info I need in the report ). To achieve this I had used UPA_UD_FORMS and UPA_UD_FORMFIELDS. I have few questions in this process..
    1. The audit result does not include the about the initial access info of the user which he obtained during usr creation, the table are containing only the changes occured after the user creation. Am I missing something please suggest.
    2. And update_date and Effective_from date are not in sync .. any omments
    Thanks,
    Anumolu.

I have been told that this historic data is stored in upa_ud_forms and upa_ud_formfields table.
However, these tables are empty in my OIM environment. Is there a necessity to enable that audit data is written?

    Hi,
I was able to deploy the default reports that are generated during installation.
Am adding an extra attribute to the existing reports and trying to display the value in the output report. I can see the template to display is defined in .rtf file.
But am unable to print the extra attribute value. How do I map this value in rtf file ?
example: by default in a report I have Fname, Lname and Userid. Am adding extra attribute EmailID. But am unable to generate the value of emaild id in the report.
How do I map it in rtf file ??

  • OIM Reports for BIP Role Membership

The OIM BP04 Reports for BIP, the Role Membership report description states:
"This report will display membership details of all the roles. The report will not show indirect memberships. Security model is not implemented in this report."
Looks like the data model deliberately excluded indirect roles (or child tabled roles) from the Lookup.DBUM.Oracle.Roles (same for the Privileges Reports).
Can anyone guide me through editing the Role Membership data model to INCLUDE the roles from the lookup table?
I believe the Lookup.DBUM.Oracle.Roles have to get associated to the users recon'd from the DBUM Trusted Recon from the DBA_Users table first.
    Thanks for looking.

The BP04 OIM roles reports targets OIM roles, not oracle or ad roles.
To achieve those views, custom BIP reports that query the respective OIM tables where the AD and Oracle data exist are required.
    Thanks for looking.

  • Error while running a custom report in OIM

    Hi All,
I have created a new custom report for OIM and written a stored procedure for that. But while running the report from Admin console, its throws the below error:
    java.sql.SQLException: ORA-00911: invalid character
    ORA-06512: at "IDM.XL_EXCEPTION", line 149
    ORA-06512: at line 1

    Thor.API.Exceptions.tcAPIException: Error executing stored procedure
    Line 149 : DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE('select stmt ='|| select_stmt);
"select_stmt" is a select query based on the OIM tables.
    Please advice.

Seems like there is a invalid character in your SQL (Report's store procedure). Could you share with me whole content of this "select_stmt" variable?

  • Error while running historical and operational reports in OIM 9.1

    Hi all,
I had a look at the operational reports and historical reports in OIM 9.1
When I tried to run the reports by supplying the parameters, I see the following behaviors.
a)The reports run as expected and display the information.
b)The moment, I click submit I see a series of exceptions in the Jboss log, the beginning of the thread being....
    WARN [TxConnectionManager] Connection error occured: org.jboss.resource.connectionmanager.TxConnectionManager$TxConnectionEventListener@1e7aa15[state=NORMAL mc=org.jboss.resource.adapter.jdbc.xa.XAManagedConnection@6fc757 handles=1 lastUse=1300177838234 permit=true trackByTx=true mcp=org.jboss.resource.connectionmanager.JBossManagedConnectionPool$OnePool@62b4a1 context=org.jboss.resource.connectionmanager.InternalManagedConnectionPool@40ba54 xaResource=org.jboss.resource.adapter.jdbc.xa.XAManagedConnection@6fc757 txSync=null]
java.sql.SQLException: No more data to read from socket
c)The screen just hangs without any error message/report results. When I tried to click any other menu items on the left hand side, none of them responds after the screen is hung.
The only option available is to close the window and reopen the browser again.
It would be great if you could let me know the root cause for scenarios 'b' and 'c'
Looking forward to hearing from you,
    Many thanks in advance

  • BI Publisher 11g 11.1.1.6.0 and OIM Reports Not Showing Up

After upgrading to OIM BP04, I following the readme to install BI Publishing, but used the 11.1.1.6.0 version.
    After creating: C:\Oracle\Middleware\Oracle_BIP\user_projects\domains\bifoundation_domain\config\bipublisher\repository\Reports\Oracle Identity Manager
I copied C:\Oracle\Middleware\Oracle_BIP\user_projects\domains\bifoundation_domain\config\bipublisher\repository\Reports\Oracle Identity Manager\OIM_11gR1_BIP11gReports.zip and uncompressed it here..
Then I restarted everything except for the database.
When I logon to the BIP console, go to Catalog then Shared Folders, there is no 'Oracle Identity Manager' folder...only the original Components and Sample folders.
    What's up with that?

The answer is to open up the weblogic security schema for BIP and add a user account with the same name used to access OIM, then add the BI_Authors role. Save. Restart BIP. This got me the Resource Reports.
The DB Roles and Privs reports still don't work OOTB because the jobs don't update the UD_DB_ORA_P and _R tables. Still working on how to get that down. What's that...you know how...please do tell. Thanks :)

  • BI Publisher Report for Archived OIM tables

    Hi
We perfomed Request archival operation in our OIM DB using http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E29505_01/doc.1111/e14308/archival_utilities.htm. Now ARCH* tables are created and it has relevant details.
Now our requirment is to create a new report to read data from this archived tables using BI publisher. We are looking something similar to OOTB Attestation Request and Approval Reports -> Request Details in BI.
We created a new report called "Request Details from Archive tables" similar to the OOTB one in BI front end. Also modifed data template by replacing "request*" tables to "arch_request*" as below. When we try to gernerate report now it is not working as expected.
Do we need to change anything else ? Please advise
